I hope that doesn't sound too confusing, but that's rather simple.
And it talks about how He was one with the Father.
This is the deity.
He is God the Son.
He has come incarnate, manifested in the flesh, lived among man.
And then laid his life down.
Nobody took his life.
He laid his life down that he could take it up three days, three nights later.

Because Jesus Christ was one with the Father, and loved the Father, and obeyed the Father.
...to see you through these things.
Watch this carefully.
That are after all the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.
Notice what he's saying here.
He said, you as believers in Colossians are up against the whole weight of these false teachers.
You're up against all of the confusion and the deceit.
And he said, I want you to be rooted and grounded.
I want you to know that you are rooted and built up in Christ.
This is what David had in mind when he wrote, or I believe, in Psalm 1 about a man who was rooted and planted and growing and fruitful.
And so I'll ask you a question.
Are you a man that's blessed by God and you have the abundance of God and the fruitfulness of God in your personal life?
Are you a fruitful Christian?
Are you a blessed Christian in this world today?
Do you have the stability?
We're gonna see what God says.
Now listen, if we're gonna be, if we're gonna be this kind of Christian, I want to show you the things that God says.
Number one, He says this kind of a Christian has something that He avoids.
He has something that He avoids.
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly.
In Colossians chapter 2, He says, I don't want anyone to beguile you.
I don't want anybody to carry you away.
I don't want anybody to despoil you through vain deceit and philosophies and traditions of men and the rudiments of the world.
Don't get carried away.
Don't go that way.
There's some things, believer, if you're going to have the blessing of God, and I'm just telling you, if you're going to have the blessing of God in your home and in your life, and you're going to be a fruitful Christian, listen, you are going to have to avoid some things.
Like what?
First of all, sensual wisdom.
Sensual wisdom.
Psalms calls it the counsel of the ungodly.
Paul calls it here the philosophies of the world, the traditions of men, and the rudiments of this world.
Listen to me.
All that's going on in this world are philosophies that are rooted in satanic origin.
The Bible tells us in 1 John that all that is in this world is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
That's all that's in the world.
And I want to tell you something.
You have to avoid the sensual wisdom of the world.
Now church, listen to me.
You cannot just sit down as a Christian and scroll through hours.
Young people, listen, you cannot just scroll through hours and hours of this social media with influencers and all the things of this world that just invade your eyes and your minds and your hearts.
You cannot do that hours on end until you begin to think that way.
Until you start thinking the way the world thinks and you begin to adapt yourself to the world.
God says you better avoid the wisdom of this world.
Listen, this world thinks wrong.
And God said, avoid that.
You want to know how to grow a great family?
Do everything opposite that the world tells you to do with a family.
And do what God says to do with the family, you'll have a blessed home.
So he said, blessed is this man that walks not.
What else does he do?
He not only avoids the sensual wisdom, but he avoids the sin of the world.
Christians, you cannot have the blessing of God in your life and live a sinful life.
You can't live in sin and harbor sin.
God said if a man regards iniquity or guards iniquity, has something he holds on to that he knows is sinful, he holds on to his life, God said if a man regards iniquity in his heart, I will not hear him.
You cannot have the blessing of God and the hand of God in your life if you're walking in the counsel of the ungodly and you'll soon be standing in the way of sinners.
If you walk in their counsel, you'll soon stand in their way.
Ungodly counsel leads to sinful living.
Why?
Because as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
Satan wants you to think wrong, so you'll behave wrong.
You begin to think the wrong way, you'll behave the wrong way.
And then he said, I want you to avoid being scornful.
Avoid being scornful.
Notice the progression.
I'm walking in the counsel, I'm standing in the way, and now I'm sitting in the seat.
I just walked through it.
Now I'm standing in it.
Now I'm settled in it.
I'm sitting in the seat of the scornful.
Let me tell you something.
In Satan's kingdom, the chief seat is the seat of the scorner.
I'll tell you why.
A scorner is somebody who is wicked and proud of it.
They're proud of their wickedness.
They want to parade their rebellion before God.
Satan loves that.
You know why?
Because he is the first rebel.
He's violently opposed to God, and anybody else who becomes a scorner will become violently opposed to God.
Think about this guy.
First, this man was just walking in this way, in this council, in the philosophy, and then he was just in the way of all the sinners, and now he's sitting in the seat as a rebellious heart towards God.
You start walking in worldly wisdom, you'll become a proud sinner.
You'll start demanding people celebrate your sin.
So God said, if you want to be a blessed person, avoid that.
Avoid it.
Just go on record.
You cannot live the way the world lives and have the blessing of God in your life.
Number two, God says, The first thing is, I want you to avoid.
But the second thing is, I want you to see a blessed man by what he is affectioned to.
His affections.
In Psalm 1, this man delights in the law of God.
In Colossians, this man delights in God.
Think about this, what the Bible says here, over in verse number 2 of chapter 3.
Look over in Colossians chapter 3 and look at verse 2.
Set your affection on things above and not on things below.

Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're listening to Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon about being rooted and abounding in Christ, and we're going to go right back to it.
This is Pastor Dean Miller from Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado.
He's a man whose affection and his heart and his love is in Christ and in His Word.
An abundant Christian has a different counselor.
We don't walk after the counsel of the ungodly.
I'm not letting the world tell me how to live.
I'm gonna let Christ and His Word tell me how to live.
You say, Pastor, how do you think you should pastor a church?
I'm not going to let the world tell me how to pastor a church.
I'm going to let God's Word tell me how to pastor a church.
How are you supposed to build a home and a family?
I'm not going to let the world dictate how we build a home and a family.
We're going to let God's Word dictate it.
So you've got to love the Word of God.
It needs to be Christ is your first love.
His Word is your first love.
And what does a Christian do?
Listen to me, an abundant Christian who loves something, what does he do?
He roots down in it.
He's planted in it and he roots in it.
Let me tell you, I love Michelle.
28 years ago, she said, yes.
And I said, really?
And listen, I love Michelle.
Now I'll tell you what I've done for 28 years.
I have just planted my life with her.
I love her.
Now, when you love Christ, you root down into Christ.
You are planted and anchored in Christ.
You root down into the Word of God.
Let me just tell you what happens when you root down into something.
Whatever you put your roots into, gets into the roots.
And what gets into the roots comes up in the trunk.
What comes up in the trunk goes out in the branches.
What goes out in the branches gets in the blossom.
And the fruit comes from what's in the root.
Look, you get into Christ and Christ will come up into you.
And He'll come out in the fruitfulness of your life.
You've got to get your roots.
Blessed is the man.
He avoids that, but he roots down into Christ and His Word.
Rooted and built up in Him.
Now listen, this is more than just learning about Christ and His Word.
Too many Christians, hey boy, we just love it.
You know, we go to Bible study, we go to church, and we're just learning, learning, learning, we're reading, and by the way, I'm for all of that.
But there's a big problem with just learning and not living.
I remember, I made a statement here and I'll make it again.
You've never really learned something until you live it.
Several years ago I was at a summer camp.
I was preaching and the boys had a swim day and they were going down to this big swimming hole and they had all kinds of towers and stuff to jump off.
And I went down with all the boys and there were probably 500 teenage boys down at this pond and I was going to go down and swim and just get to know the guys and have a great time.
And so we got down there.
Well they all had to go through a swim test, even me.
They got two lifeguards out there, and you got to swim out, swim back, you got to show that you get a colored wristband, then you get to go over on the tower, and then you can go in the deep end and have fun.
And I'll never forget this little boy, he was probably 7th grade, first time ever to go to youth camp, he was trying to be tough, he was trying to be a big man, and I'll never forget this little scrawny, skinny guy, had his little chest kind of poked out there, and he walked up to the lifeguard, and the lifeguard said, do you know how to swim?
He said, yep.
He said, have you ever been swimming?
He said, I've been watching YouTube videos all year waiting for summer camp.
Now this kid had been learning about every stroke and every breath and he'd been learning all about swimming.
And the lifeguard said, okay, well swim out there to him and come back.
And he went right down to the bottom.
They had to jump in and get him.
Let me tell you something, he hadn't learned a thing.
He had taken in all kinds of information.
He thought he learned swimming, but he couldn't live it.
And here's the problem with a lot of Christians.
We go to church, we get our head filled with all kinds of stuff, but as soon as we go home and temptation comes, blub, blub, blub, down we go.
The first problem comes in our life.
Blub, blub, blub, down we go.
Anger.
Frustration.
Christ doesn't come out.
I've told you many times before.
If I'm holding a cup of coffee in my hand and somebody jostles my arm, what's gonna come out of the cup?
Coffee.
You know why?
That's what's in it.
What comes out of your life when you get jostled, that's what's in your life.
When you get jostled, if Christ comes out, then that's what you're filled with.
And He said, get your roots in, come up, let Him be affectionately filled in your life.
Get Him in your heart, get Him out in your life, and be abounding in Christ.
Not just learning Him, but living Him.
Number three, He says this, We see a blessed man by what he avoids.
We see a blessed man by what his affections are.
And number three, we see this rooted and abounding blessed Christian by his attributes.
By his attributes.
Now God likens him to a tree.
An abounding Christian is likened to a tree.
Blessed is the man who avoids this.
Blessed is the man who loves this.
He's rooted.
He's grounded.
He's built up.
Blessed is this man.
He's aware of the philosophies of the world.
He's aware of the rudiments of this world.
He's not walking after the traditions of this world.
This man is rooted in Christ.
His heart is in Christ.
Let me show you what he's going to look like.
What are his attributes?
Well, number one, he will show vitality.
Everybody say vitality with me.
Number one, he will show?
Vitality.
I want some of you to show a little vitality right now, alright?
Vitality means life.
He has life in him.
Listen to me.
Before you got saved, and by the way, before you think about Christianity being a religion, notice the Bible said he delighted in the law of God.
He was not under the law of God.
He was not following rules.
He was following Christ.
Christianity is not rule-keeping, it's Christ-following.
It is relationship with Jesus Christ.
And so, this man who comes to Christ gets life.
What did Jesus say?
Jesus said, and you shall have life.
I have come that you might have life, and that you might have it more.
Does he want... Listen, if you know Christ, you're going to abound.
You have life, an abundant life.
So this man shows vitality.
Now what did he say in Psalms?
He said, the ungodly are not so.
They're like chaff.
Let me tell you something.
There's a big difference between a tree and a tumbleweed.
Tumbleweed has a little... Look at a tumbleweed one day.
Go over, just go to a barbed wire fence where it's caught up in it and look at it.
It's got one little stem that goes down the ground.
You know what happens?
That thing dries up and the first breeze blows along and there it goes, loose, and it goes wherever the wind drives it.
It's dead and it has no life.
Dead works come from dead people.
Spiritual life will produce spiritual work.
Listen, dead people, what do they do?
They produce adultery and fornication.
And uncleanness, and anger, and wrath.
Listen, the way the world works, the world tells you, step on people's neck to get ahead.
And Jesus said, love your enemy.
Do good to them that despitefully use you.
Show that you have life.
Any old dead man can destroy another man.
Listen, it takes a Christian, filled with the life of Christ, who will love the unlovely.
Who will care, and give, and go, and do.
Why?
He's got abundant life.
The man who sinks his roots down into the rivers of revival, down into the Word of God, down into the refreshing streams of Christ, the man, the young person who gets his life into Christ, what's going to happen?
He is going to have abundant life.
That life is going to, whatever he gets his roots down, is going to come up into his life, and he's going to have an abundant life.
The second thing he'll have, second attribute, is not only vitality, but stability.
Say that with me.
Ready he's gonna have?
Boy, don't we need some stability in our world.
The word Bible says planted in Psalm 1.
Bible says rooted in Colossians 2.
He is stable.
The Bible says in Psalm 1, the wind drives away.
Look at an old tumbleweed just blowing down the road.
Here come the winds of adversity.
And a Christian gets blown away.
Here come the winds of change.
Christian gets blown away.
Here comes the wind of temptation.
Christian gets blown away.
Here comes the wind of culture.
Christian gets blown away.
You see churches and Christians acquiescing to all the things of culture.
And they're just not stable.
There's no stability.
Listen.
We need some stable homes, stable marriages, stable churches that are planted and rooted.
Look at Colossians 1 and verse 23.
Paul had already mentioned this before.
He said, he said, if you continue in the faith, grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel.
Christians, we need some people rooted in Christ where nothing's going to move you away from the hope of the gospel.
You come to Jesus Christ and you get planted.
By the way, you have to be planted by God.
Jesus said, all that the Father give it to me shall come to me.
And you say, what do you mean by that?
What he means by that is not that God is just picking and choosing who will be saved and who won't be saved.
But let me tell you something, the act of salvation is God spiritually planting you into Christ.
Jesus said, I am, listen, Pope Francis, He said this week, there are many ways to heaven.
Christianity is a road to heaven.
Islam is a road to heaven.
Hinduism is a road to heaven.
And I want to say to Pope Francis, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No man comes to the Father but by me.
And I want to tell you something, church, we're going to stay stable and steadfast on the Word of God.
Listen, there is only one name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
It's the name of Jesus.
What Pope Francis needs to do is get on his knees and understand, you call no man father here on earth.
There's only one Father, and there's only one way to the Father, and that's through the Lord Jesus Christ.
And when you come to Jesus Christ by faith, the Father receives you and he plants you into Jesus.
Look over at Colossians 3, and we read in verse number 2, but look at verse number 3.
And your life is hid with Christ in God.
Okay, now listen.
When you were unsaved, you were dead.
But now Christ, God has given you this life.
And how did He give you this life?
By putting you into Christ.
You're hid with Christ in God.
What did He do?
He planted you in Christ.
When you got saved, there was a spiritual planting of you into Jesus Christ.
Does everybody understand that?
Shake your head up and down if you understand that.
And Jesus said this in Matthew 15, verse 13.
Every plant which my heavenly father hath not planted shall be rooted up.
Listen, if you have not been truly born again by coming to Jesus Christ through repentance and faith, confessing your sin and your need of salvation, and you are not planted into Jesus Christ, you will be rooted up and driven against the wind like a tumbleweed and like chaff.
Here and there and everywhere with every wind of doctrine.
No stability in a life outside of Christ.
We need some God-planted, deep-rooted, stable-living Christians.
I mean, we need some people who know how to stay married and stay faithful with raising our children and faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We need some people who can stay faithful, know the winds of change in this world come.
We are stable and steadfast and unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.
Number three, he says, not only will he show vitality and stability, but number three, he will show fertility.
What does that mean?
He's gonna have fruit.
Jesus said in John 15, 16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that ye should go and bring forth fruit.
Now watch this, and that your fruit should remain.
You know why Jesus saved you?
He saved you to be a fruit bearer.
And He doesn't want us just to have fruit in this life only.
He wants us to have fruit that remains.
Eternal fruit.
Listen, I'm telling you, a person who's rooted into Christ, who is rooted and planted and built up in Him, that person is going to bear fruit in his life like the fruit of the Spirit.
Love and joy and peace and long-suffering and gentleness.
We've been preaching that on Sunday nights.
You need to hear tonight on temperance.
Go back and listen to those and understand the fruit that the Spirit of God develops in us as we put our roots into Christ, He gives us the fruit of the Spirit.
But I'll tell you something else.
There's another fruit.
Proverbs chapter 11 and verse number 30.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
And he that win his souls is wise.
If you are a believer planted in Jesus Christ, the fruit that you're going to bear is other believers.
Fruit trees produce fruit.
Christians produce Christians.
How many of you would say today, Pastor Miller, the Lord is my shepherd and I am one of his sheep?
How many of you would say that?
Okay, well good.
You know what sheep do?
They produce sheep.
And yet, 2% of professing believers will ever share their faith in Jesus Christ with an unbeliever.
What an indictment to the gospel!
That believers will not share their faith with other people.
You know, I see believers, man, we'll put every political sign on our yard, we'll get passionate about a political candidate, we'll go out and we'll join a campaign, we'll raise money, we'll get, boy, we gotta vote this guy, gotta vote this guy, gotta vote this guy.
And yet, the neighbor that you get mad at that has another sign in their yard, you've never shared the gospel with them.
Politicians come and go.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
This world needs the gospel, amen.
I'm all for voting for somebody who's going to give us the right to lead a quiet and peaceable life.
Whoever's going to uphold our Constitution and give us the freedom to preach the Word of God and protect our freedom.
They don't give us the freedom to protect our freedom to preach the Word of God.
They're going to get my vote.
If you're going to protect... Alright, we're coming right back.
Stay tuned.

Love, I was born a ramblin' man.
I was born a rambling man Trying to make a living and doing the best I can And when it's time for leaving I hope you understand That I was born a rambling man Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio
I'm your host, Craig James, and we're listening to Pastor Dean Miller's sermon about being rooted and abounding in Christ, and I want to play it for you guys.
Again, this is Front Range Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Sunday services are at 930 a.m.
and 11 if you want to attend, but let's go back to Pastor Miller.
life, an innocent life, and a baby's life, and you're gonna stand for the basic rights of an American citizen, you've got my vote.
But listen, I'm gonna cast my vote and get back about my father's business.
Fertile, who knows about the gospel because of you?
Who knows Jesus Christ because you introduced them to Him?
Fertility.
Let me say very quickly, he shows consistency.
The Bible says in Psalm, he shall not wither, his leaf shall not wither.
You know what a Christian is?
A Christian is an evergreen.
Colorado gets beautiful around the fall with all the aspen changing, but Christians don't do that We don't we don't shit.
We don't change our colors and get yellow and shed our leaves.
We don't do that We stay green and fruitful in the dry season in the rainy season in the hot season in the cold season We just ever remain faithful with his life in us because we're rooted into him and he's flowing through us We don't show a turning of colors and dropping down our leaves.
Let me tell you something we remain Faithful and consistent in the changing seasons of life.
Thank God for consistent Christians.
Thank God for the people who just are day-to-day, up, down, round, summer, winter, fall, just a consistent Christian.
Trials come and they may hurt, but they keep going for Christ.
I'll tell you how you get consistent.
It's because of the roots.
See, let me tell you something.
You cannot see my private life.
You only see the life that bears fruit.
But I'm telling you, you have to remain consistently rooted in Christ.
How's your prayer life?
How's your devotional life?
Let me ask you a question right now.
Is God on tomorrow's calendar?
Do you have a scheduled time to meet with the Lord and read His Word and spend time with Him?
I'm sure you got a to-do list.
Is the Lord on it?
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
Listen to me, you cannot live a consistent Christian life if you're not consistently living in Christ.
I'm not talking about a Sunday morning religion.
I'm talking about a Sunday morning that gets into our Monday morning and our Tuesday morning and our Wednesday morning and our Thursday morning and our Friday morning.
God save us from this Sunday morning religion where we come to church, put on an act, sing a few songs, then we go back to our life and do our thing.
I'm talking about Christians who live consistently in Christ, rooted and grounded every day in the Lord Jesus Christ.
How's your prayer life?
Walking with God.
Be consistent in your time with God.
And let me say this lastly.
What are his attributes?
He shows prosperity.
He's going to prosper.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein.
For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
This is about the time of the message where every Christian sits up and says, hey, I want to know more about this prosperity thing.
And you know why?
Because we have a really bad habit of spelling prosperity.
M-O-N-E-Y but I'll tell you something that's not how God spells prosperity God God doesn't spell prosperity, money.
God spells prosperity, B-L-E-S-S-I-N-G.
The blessing of God.
Being in His will.
Having His hand and favor in your life.
You need the blessing of God.
You need God's blessing in your life.
I remember when our first daughter was born.
I remember the joy of holding her and just the tears and I mean it was such a sweet moment.
But I remember walking down that hospital room, hospital hallway thinking, I don't know how to be a dad.
What am I going to do with that little girl?
I remember just stopping there in the stairwell at the hospital and just saying, I don't know how to be a dad.
I need your blessing.
I need your favor.
I need your help.
I was hugging Michelle this morning, and I was just thinking about our life.
We have two daughters, grown and married, and a third grandbaby on the way.
Our youngest daughter is 21.
She's still living at home, and we're looking for a good, strong Christian man who loves her and dogs.
And she can take them dogs.
I said, I'll even settle for just a, just, you don't have to be strong, just be a good Christian.
But love dogs.
I was hugging Michelle this morning and I'm just thinking about our stage of life.
I'm 51, she's 50.
Our kids are growing older.
We're about to be empty nesters.
And I thought, you know, I, I don't know how to lead her and love her in this season of our life.
And I thought, Lord, help me to have favor and blessing.
Help me to just have your hand on our home and life in this season of life.
I don't want my life to wither.
I don't want to get unstable for God.
In this changing world, in this crazy world that celebrates everything but good and righteousness, The days are coming where the world's pushing at us.
We better have some people who have a rock-ribbed, solid rooting in Christ and have the favor of God.
I want to tell you something.
You get a home that has the favor of God on it.
I don't care how much money you have in the bank.
Now, let me just tell you something right now.
I'd rather have the favor of God in my life than a million dollars in the bank.
You say, prove that to me.
Because I have the favor of God in my life and I don't have a million dollars in the bank.
And I'm richer for it.
Better is a little in a house filled with the joy and the love and the blessing of God than much with strife and contention.
God, I pity the people who have a ton of money and no love and favor from God.
And Christians get envious about that.
We look at this world, we get envious.
You know, Sunday mornings, you're driving down to church on a Sunday morning, it's a beautiful day, and you see all these big trucks and boats heading to the lake.
I'll just be honest, there's been a few times I thought, boy, that'd be nice.
I can just go to the lake today.
There's only two great days in a boat owner's life.
The day he buys it, and the day he sells it.
Now, we had a boat growing up, and I loved it, and I made a lot of memories with my dad on that boat.
And if you've got a boat, I'm not preaching against you, but just let me borrow it sometime.
But anyway, I thought, man, what a blessing!
And you know, sometimes we look at this world, boy, they... I mean, listen!
I mean, this world... I hesitate to even mention some of this, but there's so much wickedness in this world.
And there's a new means of capturing pornography now, and all of these people are getting into this.
And I read this week that they started this thing, and I won't even say the name of it, discuss those things that shouldn't even be discussed in private, publicly.
But listen, this world, there's a new way of proliferating pornography in this world.
They made $6.6 billion.
This year.
That was two and a half billion dollars more than the revenue of the NBA.
All right.
We're going to come back after this quick break and wrap up Pastor D. Miller's sermon about being rooted and abounding in crisis.
And look, what he says, I couldn't echo it any stronger.
The words that he's putting forth are very true, and I hope they speak to your heart.
Again, this is Front Range Baptist Church here in Colorado, northern Colorado, in Fort Collins.
Services are Sundays at 9, 30 a.m.
and 11, if you want to attend.
All are welcome.
All right.
Stay tuned.
We're coming back.
Here's the deal.

Sooner or later gotta cut you down.
Go tell that long time...
Welcome back to Usformed Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James, and we're listening to a sermon from Pastor Dean Miller from Range Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
And we're going to finish it up right now.
So let's listen.
One young woman, God pity her filthy heart.
She personally made $67 million last year.
To the vile affections of this world. .
Some Christians look back and say, look at all this money the world makes, look at all that they have, look at all they get to do!
And we get envious of that.
Let me tell you something, let me tell you how foolish that is.
That's like driving by an old pig farm and looking at all those pigs just chowing down on that corn and laying down and sleeping and you think, look at them, they get to eat and sleep and have all they want and someone taking care of them and they're just, they get all they want.
Look at how wonderful a life they have.
Why would you be envious of something that's being fattened up for the slaughter?
The ungodly are not so.
They'll not stand in the judgment.
They won't be in the congregation of the righteous.
This world is eating all of the husks of this world, gorging itself on the pleasures of this world, leaning on the rudiments of this world after the traditions of man, only to find themselves in eternity and hell forever and ever and ever and ever.
Why would we envy that?
I'd rather be a man who has no nickel to rub together, and have the peace and joy and love and salvation of Jesus Christ, and know that heaven is my eternal home, and I've got the favor of God on my life.
And get a Goliath out there with all of his money and wealth and his armor and his armor bearer and his spears and his sword.
Got a little old shepherd boy that he's got to pick up stones along the way.
And with the favor of God, that little shepherd boy brought that man down and took his head off.
You hear me?
Listen to me.
We have a God today who loves us and has saved us.
Let's get planted and rooted deep into Him and let His life live in us.
Be fruitful and abounding.
This is time for stability and vitality and fruitfulness in this world.
We need strong marriages, strong homes, strong children, strong churches.
We're not going to acquiesce to the filthiness of this culture.
We're not going to say, well that's just a clump of cells.
Listen to me, that's a life!
Made by God.
We're not going to fall for this foolishness of catering to the insanities of this world.
We're going to stand firm.
We're going to love the Word of God and we're going to love people enough to take the truth to them.
But we're not going to wither and dry up.
Dry rock comes from dry roots, but fruitful trees come from deep roots and fertile soil rooted in Christ.
Our Father, I pray today, as we prepare in just a moment to receive the Lord's Supper, that we would have a clean heart and prepared heart for that.
Our heads are bowed, our eyes are closed for just a minute.
I want to ask two questions this morning.
Alright, that was Pastor Dean Miller's sermon on Being rooted and abounding in Christ, and I have to be quite honest, you know, those words struck a chord with me, and I hope they did with you as well.
I hope that you'll know that the things of this world that we see are not truly what's going to fulfill us or make us happy.
The money, or the fame, or the power, all of those things, they aren't going to fulfill They're not going to fulfill us.
And what will fulfill us is God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, having that in our heart and understanding and knowing and trusting that He is with us.
So I want to thank Him.
And again, that sermon comes from Pastor Miller.
He's the lead pastor at Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado, which you guys are more than welcome to join.
It's all are welcome.
Sundays at 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. are the services.
So there you go.
All right, since the sermon finished a little early, usually the sermon will take us all the way to the end of the show, but today it happened to finish a little early.
I guess we can just briefly talk about a few other stories.
uh, Of course, you know, we've talked about this ABC News debate scandal, the affidavit coming out on the same day that Trump's attempted assassination took place, the second one, that is.
And, of course, you know, we're in a position that what you have to understand is that, you know, everything I told you about, it's funny because the affidavit confirms what I told you would happen before the debate, but I didn't need a crystal ball it's funny because the affidavit confirms what I told you would happen before the debate, but I didn't need a crystal ball to know that ABC was going to give Kamala Harris' campaign the questions and give her favorable coverage and give her, you know,
her, you know, an unfair advantage by only fact-checking Trump, which their fact-checks weren't even accurate, while refusing to fact-check Kamala Harris.
But one of the things in the affidavit that stood out to me particularly was when we read that, and I want to do more on this story later, actually, because I think it's really important about her brother and his connections to because I think it's really important about her brother and his connections to a very big embezzlement But another thing that I thought was important to note is that both the moderators for that debate
David Muir and Lindsay Davis reportedly received $1 million each to moderate that debate.
So I thought that was an interesting little tidbit of information.
And then finally, the ABC moderator, Lindsay Davis, has admitted in an LA Times interview that ABC had, quote, only planned to fact check Trump, unquote, in the September 10th debates.
So they've already admitted that That this is true, and I think it's obvious that they're doing it to get ahead of the story so they can shape it and spin it how they need to, to sell it to the American people that it's no big deal that they only fact-check one side.
It's no big deal that they basically gave the debate questions ahead of time to one side and didn't give it to the other.
It's no big deal, you know?
You're reading too much into this.
You know, it's standard practice for political debate moderators to give one side an incredible advantage against another.
It's just, that's like, essentially how it's, how business works.
So if you don't understand that, then, sorry.
But, uh, yeah.
Alright, so, when we come back, we're gonna do our God's Grace is Greater segment, and as usual, leave you guys with some hope and encouragement in the scripture.
But make sure you guys stay tuned.
A lot more to come.
You're listening to Just Informed Talk Radio.
Radio will be back after the break.

I see grace.

Welcome back to Justformed Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
You guys know we're always going to bring you guys our God's Grace is Greater segment, which is our final segment of every show.
And today is no different.
And I really am thankful to be able to share the scripture with you.
And I'm thankful that you guys were able to listen to that sermon today.
It was a powerful one.
And I'm really, really thankful too.
You know, all of you out there who listen and enjoy it and share it, make sure you share this if you can.
I'll be reposting all of this today on my Rumble channel, Rumble.com slash JustInformedTalk.
I also have a BitChute channel under the same name, JustInformedTalk.
Also, you guys can follow me over on X.com, it's formerly Twitter, at the handle at...
Just informed the number one.
That's it.
Just informed the number one is where you can find me over on Twitter and aka X and I'm really thankful for all that but today we have some scripture we're going to go through.
We're in the book of Psalms still.
We're in Psalm 123 and it's a short one but it's very powerful and it's about looking for God's favor and it says this.
I lift my eyes to you, the one enthroned in heaven, like a servant's eyes on his master's hand, like a servant girl's eyes on her mistress's hand, so our eyes are on the Lord, our God, until he shows us favor.
Show us favor, Lord, show us favor, for we've had more than enough contempt, we've had more than enough scorn from the arrogant and contempt from the proud.
And that is my prayer for all of us and for you out there.
God show us favor.
Show us favor as a nation.
Show us favor as individuals, as families.
Show us favor that we may transcend the evil that surrounds us in this world so often and see the good
and see the good in one another, and the goodness of your creation, and to embrace that in our hearts, so that we may live a fulfilled life, a peaceful life, more importantly, a life that honors you, Lord.
That is my prayer, and I pray it in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
And I hope you guys know that we have to look to God.
We are but servants of the Lord, but he's a gracious and kind and loving master who will take care of us, provide for us, and he has already made the sacrifice provide for us, and he has already made the sacrifice to give us the ultimate gift, which is our eternal salvation.
So, So if you haven't had a relationship with Jesus Christ yet, if you haven't had a relationship with the Lord through him, and been filled with the Holy Spirit.
I invite you now today to open your heart, say a prayer, repent of your sin, throw away your old self, become new in Christ.
Give your life to Him and watch what great things will happen.
Watch the favor that He will show you.
And I know it because I've seen it in my life and in many others who by the grace of God I've helped lead to Christ.
I've seen the glory.
I see it every day, and I'm so grateful and thankful, and I hope you see it as well.
All right, that's where we're going to leave it.
Thanks for tuning in.
We'll be back tomorrow, same time, same place, God willing.
