| That is the most original idea I have ever heard in my life. | |
| I've never heard anything like it anywhere else. | |
| Only except that, you know, a thousand times Trump said it over the last like three months. | |

| Listen to what she says about the price of all the things out there. | |

| Because while our economy is doing well by many measures, prices for everyday things like groceries are still too high. | |

| You know, when I was Attorney General, I went after price-fixing schemes. | |
| And when I am President, it will be a day-one priority to fight to bring down prices. | |
| I will take on big corporations that engage in illegal price gouging. | |
| I will take on corporate landlords that unfairly raise rents on working families. | |
| I will take on Big Pharma and cap the cost of prescription drugs for all Americans. | |
| And continue to bring manufacturing jobs back to America. | |
| I mean, it all sounds somewhat good. | |
| Partially, some things that maybe, like, yeah, we want affordable groceries, right? | |
| We don't want price gouging. | |
| That's bad. | |
| I don't know about the capping of the pharmaceutical, because, I mean, although I do agree pharmaceutical drugs are very highly overpriced, it's government intervention in most things usually doesn't end well for the average consumer. | |
| But, beyond all that, I mean, maybe I'm crazy, okay? | |
| I'm not sure, because sometimes I feel like I might be, but And fact check me if I'm wrong on this. | |
| I might get a community strike on YouTube for pointing this out. | |
| Isn't she the Vice President right now? | |
| You can't make this up! | |
| The fact that her voting base is too stupid to understand that she is literally complaining about her own administration's failures may suggest we are all doomed. | |

| If you can get, whatever, thousands of people together to listen to her complain about her own four years of her administration, and then get those idiots to believe that if they just vote for her again, she's gonna fix it this time, well, that's something else. | |

| And of course, in no surprise to anyone out there, the new candidate that they've undemocratically placed into position to be running against Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election who received zero votes, give it up for Kamala. | |
| It's a round of applause. | |
| Um, She's come out now and said that she's not going to do all the debates. | |
| Which, I mean, the winning strategy for her is to just speak as little as is possible and let the machine do as much propaganda and lies and deception as it can. | |
| And thereby, you know, it relieves her of that responsibility. | |
| It's the best winning strategy for her. | |
| If she wants to win, she needs to shut her mouth. | |
| You know, debate as little as possible, interview as little as possible, give very strictly read speeches at very strictly, you know, controlled rallies. | |
| And that's her, that's her path to the White House in 2024. | |
| Now, I mean, at this point, she's not doing terrible with that strategy. | |
| But what's interesting is that, you know, over the last week, I was one of the people by Friday of last week, I have to admit, I put my hand up. | |
| When I get it wrong, I get it wrong. | |
| I was demoralized. | |
| Hardcore. | |
| Because, you know, there was this time not too long ago, right? | |
| About a month ago, exactly, when The candidate who I support, and most of you I'm sure support as well, Donald Trump, had a shooter, or shooters, take multiple shots at him at a rally, right, and try to, you know, pop his top, as they say. | |
| They missed, the media came out, and because they Although they're rabid and unhinged lunatics, they had to take the appropriate time to say, you know, we're not going to go after Trump. | |
| But last week, you know, the green light was given and they turned back on the fake news media cycle, which is just lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. | |
| And not gonna lie, I was hoping And I know that might be foolish of me to have hoped for, but I was hoping that there might be some moment of clarity for them. | |
| A moment of reconciliation, if you will, where they have to, you know, rectify that their actions led to that outcome. | |
| Maybe some self-introspection, maybe some change. | |
| I mean, that would be what a novel thing, right? | |
| People to look inwardly and then understand and reflect on what they've done and then make a decision to do something better. | |
| I mean, that's ultimately what my hope was. | |
| Through all of it, because, you know, it's a serious thing when we get into the realm of these political assassinations and everything else. | |
| It's a serious thing for our nation, it's a serious thing for the world, and it's a serious thing for the people involved, specifically. | |
| Right? | |
| Donald Trump, his family, etc. | |
| So, I was hoping that that would be the case, but, sadly, It wasn't. | |
| And, like I said last week, the green light got put out for them to go and attack Trump and lie and do everything else again. | |
| So here we are. | |
| We're back to where we started. | |
| It's almost like it never happened. | |
| And that's the way they want it to be. | |
| They want you to have forgotten that Trump was giving a speech in Butler, Pennsylvania one month ago, almost to the day, and a lunatic Possibly with another armed assailant fired multiple shots at Trump and missed. | |
| Although they did hit him in the head and thankfully he survived. | |
| Yeah I mean I had this hope but now it's it's all been you know I've kind of reset myself though because I watched a few things on the social medias and everything else and I read a few articles and I realized that, you know, the truth is that the expectation that the media was ever going to be kind to Trump, that was most likely a bridge too far, even after | |
| The heinous attack on him, because these people have done horrific things to our nation. | |
| The people who read the teleprompters and lie to us from the big media corporations, on all sides, by the way. | |
| I'm not, you know, people always say, oh, you're just a Republican. | |
| I'm like, nah, no, I don't like any of these people. | |
| I don't like liars, okay, on either side. | |
| And they're liars and bad faith actors. | |
| And whether it's because they're just stupid and they're chosen because of their idiocy or they're malicious in their actions, ideologically driven, etc. | |
| It doesn't matter to me as much as the outcome. | |
| What happens and what's happened is that our nation is back to where we started. | |
| So Kamala is going to get The wagon circled around her and they're going to fire out in all directions. | |
| And that's what they're doing. | |
| Essentially. | |
| A lot of people online, though, have resorted to infighting on our side. | |
| I've noticed that over the last week, and I think it's because of the demoralization. | |
| I think a lot of people had the same expectation that I had, right? | |
| That there would be this reconciliation within the media. | |
| They would say, you know, and left-wingers would say, hey, you know, What have we done? | |
| You know, we've taken this too far. | |
| But, unfortunately, the outcome has been almost the opposite. | |
| It's emboldened them, and it's deranged them even more. | |
| Right? | |
| Because you go from people being like, I don't like Trump, he's an idiot, he's a racist, blah blah blah, they say all these crazy things that aren't true, to now they're like, oh man, make America aim again, and I wish he didn't miss. | |
| And essentially they're rooting for the assassination of the leading political candidate in this nation's presidential race. | |
| And if you think about it in those terms, that's scary because I'm not personally scared, but it's a scary thought for some because that only goes one direction. | |
| There's only one place that leads and ends and that is in war. | |
| And civil war or, you know, war amongst ourselves. | |
| Which the powers that be would love nothing more than to have, of course. | |
| So that's something they're cheering on endlessly. | |
| But, I mean, I've seen it now. | |
| I realize what they're doing. | |
| It's back to the same old games. | |
| It's, you know, Mockingbird media intelligence back. | |
| I mean, how many of these big mainstream media news reporters are, you know, in the CIA or adjacent CIA adjacent or whatever? | |
| It's probably countless, too many to even count. | |
| They all are almost. | |
| There's probably, I'm sure, a few useful idiots who aren't, but you don't get on CNN unless you're CIA, in the CIA or CIA adjacent. | |
| Let's just say it that way. | |
| And I'll call it, I'll call a spade a shovel. | |
| That's just, that is what it is. | |
| I really do think people underestimate the level of infiltration Now, I'm not talking about if you're on CNN and you're a Hollywood reporter, or you're a sports reporter, or you cover the weather. | |
| I'm not saying that every single person in CNN is CIA adjacent or in the CIA. | |
| I'm saying that if you're in CNN, or Fox, or MSNBC, or name the big political news network, | |
| If you're in there and you're talking politics, or you're talking national security, or you're talking anything to do with, you know, straight news mostly, you are 110,000 million percent either in the CIA, recruited by the CIA, or CIA-adjacent, meaning you are influenced and, you know, deal with people who are masters of manipulation and influence. | |
| I've dealt with them myself. | |
| Maybe not directly, maybe, maybe directly. | |
| I don't know. | |
| I'll leave that to your imagination. | |
| But when and they do this to not just the big fake news people, but they do it to the YouTubers and the big X accounts and you name it. | |
| Okay, if you have a big following and a big platform, they are talking to you either directly or indirectly. | |
| Meaning you're either on with working with them or they are working on getting you to work with them or you're working with them unknowingly. | |
| Right. | |
| And I know that that maybe that bursts a lot of people's bubbles as far as, but it is how it works. | |
| I've seen it firsthand. | |
| Um, I've seen this way that, that they do it. | |
| Uh, Uh, when you, for instance, when I had a big YouTube channel, I mean, the people just came out of the woodwork. | |
| Very strange. | |
| You know, people introduce themselves. | |
| Hi, I'm so-and-so. | |
| I really just want to be your friend. | |
| Hey, let me give you all this information that you didn't ask for. | |
| Oh, now that I gave you all that information, you can come to me for information whenever you need it. | |
| Oh, how convenient. | |
| How convenient. | |
| Now, Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, okay? | |
| Because it would be impossible for me to say that every one of those people have this nefarious intent and they're all working together in this cabal to destroy America. | |
| That would be foolish. | |
| Surely there's some necessity for this kind of thing. | |
| There could be a thousand different reasons, but you could pick one if you want. | |
| However, through my experience, all I'm going to say is that what we've seen on the news, what we've seen in everything else, is only indicative of the fact that The same powers, the structure that sought to destroy Trump before the 2016 election, after the 2016 election, before the 2020 election, and after the 2020 election, | |
| and before the 2024 election right now, all those same powers and before the 2024 election right now, all those same powers have They have deep infiltration in our government. | |
| They've run our bureaucracies and they are coordinating an effort to undermine his campaign to convince the American public that, you know, they should go with four more years of Kamala, right? | |
| And I mean, look, is Trump going to be the magic pill that saves this nation? | |
| No. | |
| Jesus Christ is the only way. | |
| The way, the truth, the life. | |
| Great revival is what will save this nation, nothing else. | |
| But, will Trump take us in a direction that's better than the one we're on now? | |
| Yeah, I'm almost a thousand percent sure. | |
| Now will they, will Trump get in and then they pull the rug and have a financial crisis in World War III and we're in nuclear Armageddon and then they'll blame it on him and they'll tell us that He's the worst president in history, and that this is proof that, you know, populist nationalism fails, and this is why you have to go with the globalist establishment, otherwise... I mean, like, yeah, all that stuff's very likely, as a matter of fact. | |

| And surely this will only lead to further escalation in that region of warfare, the theater of warfare, but we'll see how that all pans out. | |
| A lot of other stuff happening though in kind of a hyperspeed scenario. | |
| I thought I'd mention that briefly because it was a story from over the weekend. | |
| Not much more on that other than It seems as though the missile strikes did occur. | |
| They're Hezbollah's claiming responsibility. | |
| Other news, we have Elon Musk doing an interview of Donald Trump on X, and Donald Trump is back on X. | |
| So for those of you who don't know, Donald Trump has not posted to his X slash Twitter account for quite some time. | |
| It's been a very long time, actually, since he's been on that platform. | |
| Many years, in fact. | |
| It looks like, I guess, Donald Trump's coming back to Twitter now, just what, 80 days or so out of the election to surely, you know, promote his, you know, political campaign. | |
| But he's also going to sit down for a conversation with Elon Musk, which should be interesting. | |
| You know, for those of you who listen to this show regularly, you know my thoughts on Elon Musk. | |
| I do not like him. | |
| I do not trust him. | |
| And I really do have my doubts, especially given the fact that he, you know, his profile picture is still him. | |
| This is the crazy thing to me, right? | |
| People say I'm paranoid, or I'm a conspiracy theorist, or all these things, and I'm like, alright, yeah, I mean, I hope not, but if you want to call me that, that's fine. | |
| And then when I talk about the fact that there are, like, demonic forces in the world that are actively seeking to hurt us, that want to manipulate us, that want to trick us, that trap us, Um, people go, well, you're, you know, you're just one of those crazy, you know, religious people because nobody does that. | |
| That's not even true. | |
| It's not even real. | |
| And I point to all these real world examples, you know, famous Hollywood actors that worship the devil openly. | |
| And I'm not talking about anything short of them saying they worship the devil openly. | |
| Jack Black, Will Ferrell, you know, all these other people, Lady Gaga. | |
| Um, but Elon Musk, his profile picture on Twitter is him with a leather armor set on and it has Baphomet on the chest plate and upside down crosses all over it. | |
| Now I'm no theological expert, you know, but I'm pretty sure that When you wear Baphomet on your chest and you put it in your profile picture, I probably shouldn't trust you. | |
| And you're the most powerful and rich man in the world? | |
| Hmm. | |
| What does that remind me of? | |
| Giving glory to Lucifer to get power in this world. | |
| It's a tale as old as time, eh? | |
| We've probably been told that story a million times in a million different ways. | |
| And it's literally what Jesus was tempted with in the desert. | |

| And when you become the richest man in the world, you get power of that level. | |

| Yet, for a guy who's not very religious, he's very proud of his Baphomet chest plate that he wears proudly in his profile picture. | |
| And you and it's like, you can't make this stuff up, folks. | |
| Because I mean, he could have any other profile picture. | |
| He could have him in a t-shirt. | |
| He could have him in no shirt. | |
| He could have himself in, you know, some futuristic space outfit. | |
| He could have himself, yeah, dressed up as an astronaut going to Mars, like he keeps saying he wants to do. | |
| But of all the pictures he has of himself that exist in the world, which are probably millions, because he's that popular and famous, he chooses the one that has Baphomet. | |
| And for those who don't know, Baphomet is this androgynous, pagan, satanic idol. | |
| That's, that's like a half goat, half woman, half other animal. | |
| And I know that you can't have that many halves, but you get the point. | |
| It's like a androgynous, half human, half animal, goat-headed, devil-worshiping symbol. | |
| And that's what he chooses to put out publicly to the whole world. | |
| To millions and millions and millions, maybe billions of people. | |
| Right? | |
| I mean, think about that. | |
| Just think about it. | |
| Like, I know I sound like a broken record, but I cannot stress to you how much that is a red flag. | |
| The alarms should be blaring in your head. | |
| Like, this guy is not trustworthy. | |
| I don't care how cool he is. | |
| I don't care how much his memes are dank. | |
| I don't care about all his millions and billions of dollars. | |
| I don't care if he plays the cool video games and does the funny stuff online. | |
| I don't trust him and you shouldn't either. | |
| And then you say, well, why is Trump doing an interview with him? | |

| Trump, pragmatically, for better or worse, is a political figure who is trying to do the politiquing, if you will, to get as many people to hear his message as he can. | |
| So he sees any platform and all platforms as, you know, platforms which he can use and should use. | |
| Do I agree with it? | |
| No. | |
| But I've said it before, I'll say it again. | |
| If I'm being a politician, I agree with it 100% of the time. | |
| And I'll show you a liar. | |

| It's a unicorn. | |
| You pick the politician you agree with the most on the most things. | |
| Otherwise you just resign from the whole process and then you just allow anything to happen. | |

| They are forcing the priests to bless same-sex marriages. | |

| Look at the Holy Scripture and the main books of other world religions. | |

| They only deployed the Iron Dome when they think it matters. | |

| The former president has both sides of the political aisle up in arms. | |
| It is a dangerous and unstable moment in American history. | |

| They hated him. | |
| They targeted him. | |
| They hunted him. | |
| This is the epitome of the abuse of the prosecutorial power to preempt political decisions. | |

| The more that a broken system tells you that you're wrong, the more certain you should be that you must keep pushing ahead. | |

| They're not coming after me, they're coming after you, and I just happen to be standing in their way, and I will never be moving. | |
| On November 5th, 2024, justice will be done. | |
| We will take back our country, and we will make America great again. | |
| America will always rise to every challenge and overcome every danger. | |
| Donald Trump seems to always get stronger when challenged. | |
| These types of things, I think, give him strength. | |
| When I'm re-elected, I will totally obliterate the deep state. | |
| As long as we have pride in our beliefs, courage in our convictions, and faith in our God, then we will not fail. | |

| Yeah, that was his first post back to X where he also said they want to silence me because I will never let them silence you. | |

| But of course, you know, the leftists think that they're just doing the best thing for America when they promote the destruction of it, because it was evil to begin with, right? | |
| That's the crazy thing to me. | |
| Like, the entire platform of the left is like, America was evil, it is evil still, it needs to be destroyed and rebuilt. | |

| This is called Strengthened by God. | |
| This is another amazing sermon out of the book of Colossians by Pastor Dean Miller. | |
| Let's look at Colossians chapter 1 this morning. | |
| Colossians chapter 1. | |
| I hope that you remembered what we sang a moment ago. | |
| Our God is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there is nothing my God cannot do. | |
| I'm going to preach a message today entitled, Strengthened by God. | |
| Strengthened by God. | |
| Paul was writing to this church of Colossae. | |
| And Paul had never been there. | |
| He'd never seen these dear people. | |
| But they... He's writing from prison. | |
| They were being infiltrated by false doctrine and false teachers. | |
| People telling them that they had to go beyond Jesus in order to go to greater spiritual enlightenment. | |
| They were teaching all kinds of false doctrines. | |
| And by the way, in our American churches today, there's all kinds of false doctrines being taught. | |
| And many things that are... people are trying to go beyond Jesus. | |
| I want to tell you something. | |
| You can experience a lot in Jesus, but you can never experience any more than Jesus. | |
| I hope you understand that. | |
| You can go deeper into Jesus, but you can never go beyond Jesus. | |
| He is all in all, and Christ is all we need. | |
| And so Paul was writing to them, and Paul was going to attack this false doctrine, not with theology. | |
| He began to attack it with neology. | |
| Paul began to pray. | |
| And he said, for this cause, talking about when they got saved, because you received the grace of God, because of that, I cease not to pray for you. | |
| By the way, we have a church filled with people who have been newly saved. | |
| You come on Wednesday nights and there are people in discipleship and people who are new converts who are growing in Christ. | |
| Let me tell you something, church, we better pray for our new believers. | |
| We better pray for new Christians. | |
| They're coming out of some tough situations. | |
| They're growing in Christ. | |
| They're infants in Christ. | |
| They need care and prayer and help and encouragement from God's people. | |
| Don't you just be one of those Christians who comes in, finds your place, sits down, checks off the box that you came to church. | |
| Get involved and engaged in other people's lives. | |
| Pray for them and encourage them to go forward in Jesus Christ. | |
| Amen! | |
| And so Paul was praying for them. | |
| He said, I'm praying for you. | |
| And he said, I'm praying for you that you would know, that you would be filled with the knowledge of God and His will. | |
| The fact that we can know God and know God's purpose. | |
| And then he said we can have wisdom, God's mind, and spiritual understanding to walk in the purposes. | |
| Why? | |
| So that we can walk worthy of the Lord. | |
| Isn't that amazing that God can save you and then teach you how to walk worthy of Him? | |
| I want to ask you in your life today, is your life walking worthy of Christ? | |
| That's why Many times when we come to church, we'll have the Lord's Table. | |
| Many people call it Communion, or the Lord's Supper, or the Lord's Table. | |
| But Jesus taught the church to do that in remembrance of Him, to show His broken body and His shed blood. | |
| Now why did the Lord want the church to do that? | |
| He wanted saved people to gather around the table and to remember His sacrifice. | |

| But speaking of staying in the Scripture, let's go back to Pastor Dean Miller from Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins. | |
| He tells us in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 why he wants us to do that. | |
| So that we can live, so that we would walk worthy What he wants us to do, he wants us to remind ourselves we were not worthy of being saved. | |
| No one was worthy of being saved. | |
| People say, oh, I feel so unworthy. | |
| Well, who doesn't? | |
| If you feel worthy, you're probably not saved. | |
| And so, we're saved because we're lost, and Jesus saved us. | |
| Now watch, we get saved, but then He wants us to gather around and look at that broken body and remember that shed blood, the price that He paid, so that we can ask ourselves, is the life that I'm living now worthy of the death that He died for me? | |
| He wants to empower us to make us worthy to walk in all pleasing, so that we can be fruitful, so that we can increase in the knowledge of God. | |
| That's where we were last week. | |
| Now look at our text this morning in verse 11 of Colossians chapter 1. | |
| Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, By the way, just mark that word, according to. | |
| Mark that word, according. | |
| That's a powerful word in the New Testament. | |
| You're going to find that in the New Testament, the Bible says that God will give us strength according to His glorious power. | |
| The Bible says that He gives us, He will meet our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. | |
| He says he's able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. | |
| Listen to me carefully. | |
| God does not give us out of his abundance. | |
| God gives us according to his abundance. | |
| You say, what does that mean? | |
| That means if you were to sit down with Warren Buffett and tell Warren Buffett, that multi-billionaire, some of your needs and your family, and he opened up his wallet and gave you 10 bucks, Warren Buffett just gave you out of his abundance. | |
| But if He gave you according to His abundance, He could pay your house off. | |
| He could pay your student loans off. | |
| He could pay your car off if He gave according to. | |
| I'm glad that God doesn't give out of, but God gives according to. | |
| And God will give you all that you need and more than you need. | |
| God is able. | |
| And so God gives according to, watch this, strengthen with all might, according to His glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness giving thanks unto the Father which hath made us meet or fit or qualified To be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. | |
| Listen to me. | |
| When you got saved, God made you qualified to inherit all things that He has. | |
| Isn't that a wonderful thing? | |
| God has made you a joint heir with Jesus Christ. | |
| He has qualified you to have everything that belongs to Jesus. | |
| And you know what Jesus said? | |
| Jesus said, all power belongs to me. | |
| Now, if Jesus has all power and you have everything that belongs to Jesus, what do you have? | |
| All power. | |
| You say, well, I don't feel very powerful. | |
| I remember, you know, I see so many Christians, we're just trudging along in our Christian lives. | |
| We're weary, we're tired, we're worn out. | |
| Christians are stressed out, hopefully not strung out. | |
| But we're all stressed out and weary. | |
| I remember when I was a boy, my dad, I wanted to buy a rifle. | |
| This might offend some of you, but I wanted to buy a rifle. | |
| I still want to buy guns. | |
| My wife and I walk into Shields, she's like, where am I? | |
| I'm in the gun department. | |
| I say, what are you doing up there? | |
| It's none of your business. | |
| I say, why is it none of my business? | |
| Because my sin is between me and the Lord. | |
| I'm coveting. | |
| I'm envying. | |
| And they say, Oh Lord, please. | |
| I walk into Shields and I just pray, Dear God, who giveth us all things. | |
| Bring it on! | |
| Anyway, I was a kid and I wanted this rifle. | |
| I was 12 years old. | |
| My dad said, well, you have to, you have to earn the money for yourself. | |
| So I got, I got our lawnmower, started mowing yards. | |
| Well, I, we had one of those lawnmowers, that thing was old and piece of junk and I, the wheel fell off it. | |
| So I had to take a screwdriver and stick it in there for the axle and bend it up. | |
| So to keep the wheel on, but the wheel would kind of wobble. | |
| So I had to kind of hold up one side of the lawnmower while I mowed. | |
| So I didn't mow people's yards like this and I'd scalp them. | |
| I had to hold them up. | |
| I was mowing yards. | |
| I was doing a great job. | |
| I didn't have a weed eater. | |
| I had these little clippers, you know, that you could clip me in. | |
| Back in my day, I had a billy goat to do the trimming. | |
| No, so I had these little clippers. | |
| I'd have to hand clip the grass. | |
| And so I was coming home one day. | |
| I was riding my lawnmower. | |
| I was walking my lawnmower up the road and I saw this lady in her driveway and she was just pulling on this mower. | |
| She couldn't get started. | |
| She's soaked with sweat. | |
| And I said, ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, can I help you today? | |
| I'll mow your yard. | |
| I said, I only charge five bucks for front and back. | |
| Can I, I'll just mow your yard. | |
| And she said, I'll tell you one better than that. | |
| You mow my yard. | |
| And when you're done, she looked at my mower and she looked at hers. | |
| Hers was brand new, no kidding. | |
| Still had the tags hanging off the handle. | |
| She said, I'll do you one better. | |
| You mow my yard, you can have my lawnmower. | |
| And if you can get it running, you can keep it. | |
| So man, I hurried up, I mowed her yard with my old broken down thing. | |
| I took mine home, I came back and got hers, took hers home, got it in my garage. | |
| I put a little gas in it and it fired right up. | |
| Now, I did take it back and tell her and she said, that's okay, you just mow my yard with it and you can have it. | |
| And now I'll tell you, this is what happens to most Christians. | |
| Most Christians, we have this Christian life God's given us and we're working ourselves to death trying to run it. | |
| And God says, I've given you the power to do it. | |
| I've given you my will. | |
| I've given you the wisdom on how to do my will. | |
| I've given you the spiritual understanding that you need in this world to walk a fruitful life. | |
| To walk a life pleasing to God. | |
| But I'm not going to give you all this and then make you do it in your strength. | |
| I'm going to give you the strength to do it. | |
| Now listen, church, we can't beat a better deal than that. | |
| You'll never find a deal better than God to give you everything that you need to please Him and to walk according to His purpose and the power to do it. | |
| So Paul is saying here, I'm praying that you would be filled with this knowledge and that you would be strengthened with His might to walk. | |
| Now listen to me carefully. | |
| When you begin to grow in Christ and walk in Christ, this is when the pressure really comes. | |
| Life is filled with pressure. | |
| Life is filled with difficult things. | |
| Life is filled with all kinds of twists and turns and pressures. | |
| But listen to me. | |
| You want to really amp up the pressure? | |
| Start going deep in serving God and following God and pleasing God. | |
| And you're going to find out very quickly that you're going counter to everything in our culture. | |
| You're going counter to everything in your world. | |
| And the pressure increases. | |
| And this is why so many Christians collapse. | |
| Because when the spiritual pressure comes on, our lives crumble. | |
| In 1929, there was a man by the name of William Beebe. | |

| I'm your host, Craig James. | |
| We're going right back to the sermon from Pastor Dean Miller of Front Range Baptist Church called Strengthened by God. | |
| Listen to this. | |
| In 1929, there was a man by the name of William Beebe. | |
| He was an American naturalist and he wanted to study animal life at the depths of two miles below the surface of the ocean. | |
| 1929. | |
| So he got permission from the British government to use an island out of Bermuda to start studying animal life at those great depths. | |
| The problem was the record at that time for diving was 383 feet. | |
| And the man who went 383 feet couldn't move and couldn't see anything because of the pressure and the armored suit that he had to wear. | |
| He was paralyzed down there until they brought him back up. | |
| And so, William Beebe began to design capsules and cylinders that he would try to get to go to the depths. | |
| But the problem is that every time they get to a certain depth, they would collapse. | |
| They would implode from the pressure. | |
| Another man reached out to him and they began to develop something called the Bathysphere. | |
| The Bathysphere is a little round ball and they had to make it out of a certain kind of cast steel. | |
| And they were able to eventually, by 1933, put windows in that thing. | |
| And they finally got to where they could go a thousand feet below the surface. | |
| William Beebe got in that thing, I wouldn't have done it, but he got in that thing and went down. | |
| He got down there, he turned the lights on, and looked out the window, expecting to see massive sea creatures a thousand feet below the sea. | |
| And you know what he saw? | |
| To his amazement, he saw these little tiny, translucent fish. | |
| Little tiny fish that you could see through, swimming around in that massive pressure! | |
| He was in this steel ball, and these little fish are just swimming around with see-through skin. | |
| They began to study those little fish and they found out this, that those fish had a little bladder in them that created a pressure that was equal to the pressure outside of them. | |
| And those fish could live in that high pressure environment because they had as much pressure in them as they did outside of them. | |
| Let me tell you why so many Christians collapse. | |
| Christians collapse because we don't have as much pressure in us as we do outside of us. | |
| So here comes all the pressures of life, and we fold. | |
| And God says, listen, why would you fold when I have given you all the strength you need? | |
| I have given you my strength with my might. | |
| And I have done a work in your life to help you. | |
| To increase in the knowledge of God, to go deeper into the will of God, into the knowledge of God, and to grow and go through the intense pressures of the spiritual life without collapse. | |
| Hey listen, I had one of our men who recently took a New Connections class and he came to me and he said, Pastor, we began to teach this class and he said, all of a sudden at home the spiritual battles began. | |
| There's pressures at home that weren't there before. | |
| He was just telling me this yesterday at our men's prayer breakfast. | |
| There were pressures there that weren't there before. | |
| And we begin to talk about when you begin to serve God, let me tell you something, there's intense pressure that comes at you. | |
| And Christian, listen, we live in a culture today that is going to increasingly put more pressure upon the believer. | |
| If you're saved and you're a Christian in this world today, there is great pressure. | |
| You listen to me and you mark my words. | |
| Over the next few months, things are going to get absolutely crazy in this country. | |
| And beyond, if God does not intervene and do some miracle about spiritual awakening in this country, Christians are going to go through great pressures from our culture. | |
| And I want to tell you something, greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. | |
| And you're going to have to go deep with God and get the pressure of God to be strengthened with God to endure the pressure. | |
| Now, let me tell you some four great things that God does. | |
| To keep you from collapsing. | |
| Four strengths that God gives you with His might and they're found right here. | |
| And you're going to look at these and you're going to think, well, wait a minute. | |
| These don't seem like such a big deal. | |
| Well, I beg to differ and I think you'll see it at the end. | |
| These are major miracles that God does in the life of a believer through His glorious power. | |
| Number one, look at it. | |
| Strengthened with all might, verse 11, according to His glorious power. | |
| Watch this. | |
| Unto all, patience. | |
| Everybody say patience with me. | |
| Ready? | |
| Unto all, patience. | |
| Patience. | |
| Now, in our world, we think of patience as complacency. | |
| We want our kids to just sit down and be quiet and we call that patience. | |
| God does not ever want us to be complacent. | |
| God, in His Word, defines patience as enduring circumstances that are difficult. | |
| In other words, patience has the idea to bear up under. | |
| It's when circumstances are crushing you that you're able to still go on and endure under the pressures of the circumstances in life. | |
| And I will tell you, this is going to require God's power in you, and this is going to require God's might and strength. | |
| God uses two words to describe His power. | |
| Watch this. | |
| Strengthened with all might. | |
| That is the word dunamis. | |
| Where we get our word, dynamite, but this is the word of God's inerrant power. | |
| Our God is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do. | |
| God is inerrantly powerful. | |
| But then he says, there is another word called Kratos, and Kratos is God's manifested power. | |
| He said, I'm going to give you strength with might by my glorious power. | |
| In other words, God says this, I'm going to take my inerrant power and work it in you so you can demonstrate it. | |
| And where do you demonstrate it? | |
| You demonstrate it in your circumstances. | |
| I want you to think about your family right now. | |
| I want you to think about your marriage right now. | |
| I want you to think about your financial situation, and your job, and your health circumstances. | |
| I want you to think about the circumstances of your life. | |
| Patience is the ability to bear up under that. | |
| The more weight that comes on, God gives more strength to demonstrate His power. | |
| It's interesting here that God is never referred to in the Bible as having this kind of patience. | |
| God never is referred to having this kind of patience. | |
| And you know why? | |
| Because God's never been in a difficult situation. | |
| God's never had to exercise patience because there's nothing too hard for the Lord. | |
| Somebody... I preached a message one time, I was talking about how, you know, you need to pray about everything. | |
| I pray about, you know, Lord, what should I wear today? | |
| Lord, what route should I take to work today? | |
| Pray about everything! | |
| Somebody said, why would you bother God with such little things? | |
| I said, has it ever dawned on you that you've never prayed a big prayer to God? | |
| You've never prayed a big prayer to God? | |
| What? | |
| Listen, it might be big to you, but it's not big to Him. | |
| Anybody listening this morning? | |
| Everybody awake? | |
| Listen, he said, I'm going to give you my might to bear up because there's nothing too hard for me. | |
| I can give you matching power for the matching pressure. | |
| That's what patience is. | |
| Patience is vital to Christian maturity. | |
| In Romans chapter 5, verses 3 and 4, the Bible talks about tribulations, trials, and testings in our life. | |
| What do they work? | |
| They work patience. | |
| Why? | |
| So that patience will bring experience. | |
| Why? | |
| Experience brings hope. | |
| God will sometimes let you go through circumstances so that He can show you His power, so that you can experience what God can do in a difficult time, so that you can have hope and confidence for the next time. | |
| There are some times God puts a Joseph through heavy burdens and tribulations so Joseph can manifest the power of God so others can see that God is able. | |
| You know, sometimes you're going through things in your life that have nothing to do with you. | |
| They're with you manifesting the power of God to other people. | |
| And God says, if you're going to do that and mature as a Christian, you better be patient. | |
| You better endure. | |
| See, listen, church, we are not just a bunch of believers on a cruise ship going in luxury to heaven. | |
| We are soldiers on a battleship sailing through the waters of this world In a battle, a spiritual battle, and the Bible says we are to endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. | |
| Listen, you've got some tough things in your life? | |
| Well, get up and get after it with the power of God! | |
| You've got some difficult circumstances in your life? | |
| Take God into that thing! | |
| Bring God into that marriage problem! | |
| Bring God into that family circumstance! | |
| Bring God into that thing! | |
| And let the power of God demonstrate in you that you can bear up under that circumstance. | |
| We're foreseeing also we are encompassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses. | |
| Let us run the race, laying aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us. | |
| Let us run with patience the race that is set before us. | |
| What is the guy saying? | |
| He's saying endure to the end. | |
| Get in this thing and go through the hardship. | |
| Thank God for my dad. | |
| My daddy was an old Montana cowboy and a tough preacher. | |
| And dad had a sign in our boys' bedroom that said, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. | |
| And I was glad. | |
| Dad used to tell us, you need to get some grit. | |
| Well, I'll tell you this, you need more than grit. | |
| You need God. | |
| And you need God to come in and to do a work in your life. | |
| One old preacher used to say, it's always too soon to quit. | |
| When should I quit? | |
| Later. | |
| Keep going right now. | |
| You can quit tomorrow. | |
| And when tomorrow becomes today, quit tomorrow. | |
| You can quit tomorrow. | |
| Just get through today. | |
| Get through today. | |
| Get through today. | |
| You can do it! | |
| One step at a time. | |
| One work at a time. | |
| One thing at a time. | |
| God can work and give you patience to endure. | |
| You see, we want God, you know what we want to do? | |
| We want to say, God, take these circumstances from me. | |
| You know, we want God to do miracles in our life to take things away. | |
| And I'll just, I submit to you that the greatest miracle that God can do is not in the physical circumstances. | |
| The greatest miracle is in your spiritual response. | |
| Let me prove it to you. | |
| God could bring water out of a rock. | |
| But he couldn't take the impatience out of Moses' heart. | |
| Moses was going to have to submit that to the Lord. | |
| Hey, listen, God could split the Red Sea, but he couldn't keep Israel unified. | |
| Not that God's power was limited, but I will tell you something, it was easier for God to do the physical work than the spiritual work. | |
| Oh, the Lord Jesus picked up Malchus's ear and stuck it on his head. | |
| But what about the violence and anger in Peter's heart? | |
| See, the work that God does in you is much greater than the work that God does around you. | |
| Does everybody understand that this morning? | |
| This is the work of God in you. | |
| The fact that God can make you a patient person to endure hardship is a miracle of God. | |
| Number two, we see not only patience, but He says He's going to give you His power. | |
| For number two, He's going to give you long-suffering. | |
| Watch it. | |
| Strengthen with all might according to His glorious power unto all patience and long-suffering. | |
| Everybody say long-suffering. | |
| Ready? | |
| With all patience and... | |
| Long-suffering. | |
| Long-suffering. | |
| You're going to hear about that tonight on our online services at night. | |
| I've been preaching through the fruits of faith. | |
| What does it mean to depend upon the Holy Spirit and Him to produce fruit in us? | |
| The fruits of the Spirit is a result of our dependence upon Him. | |
| And one of those is long-suffering. | |
| Last week was peace, and the week before that was joy, the week before that was love. | |
| And tonight is long-suffering. | |
| It comes from a Greek word, makros, long. | |
| Thumos, uh, temper, it means to be long-tempered. | |
| Now watch this. | |
| Patience has to do with circumstances. | |
| God is never referred to as a God who exhibits patience under circumstances because he's never been in a bad circumstance. | |
| But God is often referred to as a long-suffering God because long-suffering has to do with people. | |
| Patience is with our circumstance. | |
| Long-suffering is with people. | |
| What are our two greatest problems in this world? | |
| Circumstances and people. | |
| And not necessarily in that order. | |
| Long-suffering is the opposite of revenge. | |
| I mean, if you want to see the long-suffering of God, just look at our world today and the fact that God hasn't just hit smite I've been many times in my life, the Lord, I could just see that finger hanging over the computer of heaven. | |
| Smite. | |
| And I get hit by a grand piano from the Acme factory or whatever. | |
| Look like Bugs Bunny on the... | |
| There have been many times God should have just destroyed me, but He didn't. | |
| He was long-suffering. | |
| The Bible says that God is not slack concerning His promises. | |
| Some men count slackness, but He is long-suffering to us. | |
| Word. | |
| Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. | |
| How many times in the Old Testament did Israel provoke God? | |
| In fact, you'll hear about it tonight. | |
| But in Exodus chapter 33, God came to Moses and said, Fine, Moses. | |
| This is after the golden calf. | |
| This is after all the debauchery that Israel did when they stripped naked and danced around that calf and said, this is the God that brought us out of Egypt. | |
| While Moses was up on the mountain with God of glory, he comes down and the people have already got an idol built and they're already making fools of themselves in worship of this idol. | |
| And God says to Moses, fine, Moses, I'm sending you to Canaan because I promised it to Abraham, but I'll send an angel to go before you. | |
| Alright, we're coming right back. | |

| Listen, if you got what you deserve from God, you'd go to hell. | |
| But God is long-suffering to us. | |
| Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. | |
| Patience is our circumstance. | |
| As long-suffering is our people. | |
| Listen, let me just tell you this. | |
| When we get to chapter 3, I'm going to preach about a Christian's closet. | |
| And some of the garments of grace that God wants us to put on. | |
| I'm going to give you a little sneak preview. | |
| Look over at chapter 3 verse 12 for just a minute. | |
| Look at this. | |
| Watch this. | |
| Here's what God says you need to put on every day. | |
| of bowels of mercy. | |
| Watch this. | |
| Here's what God says you need to put on every day. | |
| Bowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and long-suffering. | |
| Now why do I need to put on meekness and long-suffering and kindness? | |
| You know why? | |
| Because verse number 13, so that you can forbear one another. | |
| Let me tell you what church is. | |
| Church is just a lot of putting up with each other. | |
| You got to put up with me, I got to put up with you. | |
| You got to put up with each other. | |
| Someone's going to do you wrong. | |
| Someone's going to say something they shouldn't say. | |
| Somebody's going to forget your birthday. | |
| You're going to be in the hospital and someone didn't come see you. | |
| And you're just going to... What is wrong with you people? | |
| That's what church is. | |
| Half the time a pastor's job is just helping people get right with each other. | |
| And we have to forbear one another. | |
| You know what half your marriage is? | |
| Forbearing one another. | |
| Putting up with each other. | |
| He lays there at night. | |
| Snores so loud. | |
| He can never find the laundry hamper. | |
| You ever just met somebody that annoyed the fire out of you? | |
| I I found out late in my life, after my girls were all grown out of my home, I found out that I have a nose whistle that God gave me somehow. | |
| That you should drive my girls crazy every morning on the way to school. | |
| They were just like, Dad, stop breathing through your nose. | |
| And they never said anything. | |
| They forbeared me, thank God. | |
| But I would tell you something, I drove them nuts! | |
| You ever have somebody just drive you crazy? | |
| Well, God said, I'll tell you what you need with that person. | |
| You need long-suffering. | |
| And it's gonna require something in you that is greater than the pressure outside of you. | |
| Does everybody understand that? | |
| You're gonna need that. | |
| Long-suffering. | |
| Number three, joyfulness. | |
| Look at it. | |
| Strengthen with all might according to His glorious power unto all patience and long-suffering, watch this, with joyfulness. | |
| Now listen, this is a work of God's power. | |
| Because when circumstances are difficult, how many of you have got some difficult circumstances in your life? | |
| Even right now, you've got some difficult circumstances. | |
| Anybody got them? | |
| Okay. | |
| When circumstances are difficult, And when people are being impossible, how many of you have some impossible people in your life right now? | |
| Raise your hand, they'll hide. | |
| If they're in this room, point at them. | |
| No, don't do that. | |
| Let's name names. | |
| Don't everybody point at me at one time. | |
| But listen, when circumstances are hard, when people are impossible, we can demonstrate joyful patience and joyful long-suffering. | |
| And by the way, there is a huge difference in patience and joyful patience. | |
| And long-suffering and joyful long-suffering. | |
| The most joyful letter in all the Bible was written by the Apostle Paul from prison. | |
| The book of Philippians, when Paul speaks of joy, unspeakable, and Paul talks about rejoicing in the Lord, he's writing from adverse circumstances, surrounded by adverse people. | |
| Paul and Silas sang a hymn in the jail after being beaten by people. | |
| People had mistreated them, they were in jail, and they were singing. | |
| Let me tell you something, there is something about a Christian who can endure, and not just endure, but enjoy. | |
| Whatever your circumstances are today, you don't have to just endure it, you can enjoy it. | |
| Every once in a while when you're preaching, it's kind of like a farmer plowing and you just hit a stump. | |
| Boom! | |
| And there's a little bit of a resistance there. | |
| You just kind of got to back up the mules for a second, dig a little deeper and go over it again. | |
| Let me just say again, you don't have to just endure, you can enjoy. | |
| This is a work of God in you. | |
| This is a miracle of God. | |
| Only God can take people who are in bad circumstances, surrounded by impossible people, and put a song in their heart and joy on their lips. | |
| You know, so many Christians are just enduring life instead of enjoying life. | |
| Enjoy what God gave you. | |
| Now, don't ever confuse joy with happiness. | |
| Happiness comes from what is happening. | |
| Happiness is from your happenings. | |
| So when all your circumstances are good, and when all the people around you are treating you good, you're happy. | |
| But when you get to the rental car place, and they didn't keep your reservation, or they don't have a car, happiness goes out the window. | |
| Hey, I made this reservation. | |
| Yeah, I'm sorry, we don't have it. | |
| Well, that's the purpose of a reservation, is that you have it when I get here. | |
| This happened to me in Roanoke just the other day. | |
| I landed in Roanoke at 11.30 at night. | |
| I got to the rental car place, and they had nothing for me. | |
| Well, I had something for them. | |
| And I wanted to unload what was in me on them. | |
| But then I remembered, the greater is He that is in me. | |
| And so, I won't tell you what I did, because you're not a priest. | |
| I don't have to confess my sin to you. | |
| But I will tell you, when circumstances and people get in the way, it robs you of your happiness. | |
| But I will tell you something, you can have the joy of God in spite of circumstances and in spite of people. | |
| And the joy of the Lord can sing out. | |
| Now see, that's a miracle of God. | |
| Have you ever seen a joyful Christian who's going through adverse problems? | |
| I mean, they're under it, and yet they have the joy of God in their life. | |
| You ever seen that? | |
| That's a work of God. | |
| Let me give you the last thing and we're done. | |
| Strengthen with all might according to His glorious power. | |
| Okay, what does God do with all this power? | |
| I'll tell you what He does. | |
| He comes into your life and He gives you patience to endure the circumstances. | |
| What does God do? | |
| He gives you long-suffering to deal with people. | |
| And He gives you His joy so you can do it with joy and demonstrate His Spirit with heaven's happiness. | |
| In Earth's happenings. | |
| Heaven's spirit with Earth's people. | |
| God gives you joyfulness. | |
| Now watch this. | |
| Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet, or fit, or God has made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. | |
| Now watch this carefully. | |
| The first thing is patience. | |
| Say that with me. | |
| The first thing is? | |
| Patience. | |
| Second work of God's power in your life is long-suffering. | |
| Say that. | |
| Is? | |
| And third thing is joyfulness. | |
| Say that. | |
| Alright, and the fourth thing is thankfulness. | |
| It is not natural for men to have an attitude of gratitude. | |
| But a Spirit-filled life is always marked by a grateful heart. | |
| In fact, Ephesians chapter 5, listen to this. | |
| Ephesians chapter 5, verse 17. | |
| Wherefore, be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. | |
| Okay, what is the will of the Lord? | |
| Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit. | |
| And when you're filled with the Spirit, what happens? | |
| Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always. | |
| For all things unto God and the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. | |
| Listen to me. | |
| The mark of a Spirit-filled life is somebody who has got a heart that is singing towards God and a heart that is thankful and grateful to God. | |
| Let me tell you what this is. | |
| Thankfulness is the opposite of selfishness. | |

| Look over at chapter 2 in Colossians, verse number 7. | |
| Rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding therein with what, Church? | |
| Thanksgiving. | |
| Chapter 2, verse 7. | |
| We're rooted with Him, abounding in thanksgiving. | |
| Look at chapter 3 and verse 15. | |
| Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you're called in one body, and be ye thankful. | |
| Look at verse number 2 of chapter 4. | |
| Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving. | |
| Watch this, listen carefully. | |
| When you lose patience, and you can no longer endure, you're under a circumstance, you don't want to endure this. | |
| Why are we going through this? | |
| Why do I have to go through this? | |
| And you have people in your life that are doing things that are causing you to lose long-suffering. | |
| Now you're impatient with other people. | |
| You're not suffering long with them. | |
| You're mad at other people. | |
| When you lose that patience and you lose that thanksgiving, I'll tell you what, or you've lost that long-suffering, you've lost your joy. | |
| And when you lose patience and you lose long-suffering and you lose joy, you start complaining. | |
| And you start saying things like, why do I have to go through this? | |
| Why do I have to put up with this? | |
| Why are you doing this to me? | |
| I don't deserve this from you. | |
| We begin to see people as the problem. | |
| We begin to see our problems as our problem. | |
| And why is that? | |
| Because we can't face these problems and face these people with our own power. | |
| The work of the flesh is anger and wrath. | |
| The work of the flesh is frustration. | |
| Parents, listen to me carefully. | |
| Don't you ever think that you're going to fix your children with an angry heart? | |
| The Bible says that sand is weighty and a stone is heavy, but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. | |
| When our children are little, we think that we can just come in the house and get angry at what's going on, and everybody just kind of settles down. | |
| Well, I got this house under control because of my anger. | |
| No, let me tell you what you've done. | |
| You've put a burden on them. | |
| They're all walking on eggshells, and that works when they're six. | |
| But when they're 16, they look at you one day and they say, you know what, buddy? | |
| I'm not carrying your sand anymore. | |
| And now you've got two angry people in the house. | |
| And then the house explodes always with anger. | |
| And let me just remind you daddies and mommas, the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. | |
| You cannot produce righteousness in your children through your wrath. | |
| It's going to take patience and long-suffering with joyfulness and thanksgiving and dedication to do the things that God wants you to do to raise your children and bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. | |
| You have to work through that with the power of Christ in you. | |
| If you do that in your flesh, you're going to grumble and complain. | |
| You're going to look at your children and, why did you do that? | |
| And what you're really saying is, you're making my circumstances harder. | |
| You're becoming a problem to me. | |
| Wait a minute. | |
| Then what you're saying is, is that problem of that six-year-old is greater than the power of Christ in you. | |
| See, the power of Christ in you will teach you to be thankful for that child and to have God's endurance and long-suffering so that with joyfulness you can teach that child what he needs to do. | |
| I'm not saying that you just pass it over. | |
| Now you can correct him, and you can help him, and you can see him. | |
| Because he's not the problem, and you attack the problem and not the person. | |
| Everybody with me on that? | |
| But ingrates can't do that. | |
| Because ingrates see everything as it affects them. | |
| I deserve to be happy. | |
| I deserve to have this. | |
| I deserve for you to do what I want you to do. | |
| But a Christian realizes that all good comes from God, and even in the face of hard circumstances and harsh people, you can have a joyful, grateful, long-suffering, patient spirit. | |
| See, here's what God did. | |
| God has made us fit, qualified for His inheritance. | |
| Now listen to me, in His inheritance, It's our Christian Canaan. | |
| You remember in Canaan when Israel went into Canaan, the land that God had given them? | |
| In there are so great blessings. | |
| But listen, for all the blessings, there was an equal battle. | |
| For the big grapes of Eskel, there were huge walls of Jericho. | |
| For the milk and honey, there were giants. | |
| You remember that? | |
| But God said, I want you to go in there and have the blessings, and I'll take care of the battle. | |
| I'll give you the victory! | |
| Now listen to me, church. | |
| We have a greater thing. | |
| Israel had an earthly inheritance. | |
| We have a spiritual inheritance. | |
| We're not going into Canaan. | |
| We've been into Christ! | |
| So in Christ, He is our victory. | |
| He gives us patience. | |
| Christ comes in to our circumstance and gives us strength. | |
| Christ comes in to our dealings with people and gives us His long-suffering. | |
| He comes into our experience and gives us His joy. | |
| He brings Heaven's happiness into our hearts so that no matter what's going on in this world, we have His happiness. | |
| His joy is our strength. | |
| And you know what we can do? | |
| We can then thank God for everything that comes into our life. | |
| This is the power of Christ in us. | |
| There was a young girl named Cassie Brinol. | |
| Cassie Brinol was a student at Columbine High School. | |
| She had tried occultism, Wiccan, she had tried drugs, Sexual pleasures, all these things that a young teenager was looking for, for fulfillment in this world, and she found nothing in it but more pain and heartache. | |
| A friend invited her to her church youth group, where she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. | |
| Cassie got saved. | |
| She was growing in the Lord, walking with the Lord, She was sitting in the school library in Columbine High School on that fateful day when that gunman in that long trench coat walked in with that rifle. | |
| Kids were hiding in closets and under tables and behind desks. | |
| Cassie was sitting at a table reading the Bible. | |
| He walked over to her and he said, Are you a Christian? | |
| Knowing full well what was going to happen, she looked him right in the eye and she said, Yes, I am. | |
| He said, Why? | |
| And he took her life. | |
| When families were able to go back into school and collect their children's belongings, Cassie's brother went into her locker and found a journal that she had made an entry in, coming from church that Sunday before she died. | |
| Alright, when we come back, you're going to hear what that journal said. | |
| It's one of the more powerful things I've ever heard written. | |

| This is a young woman who gave her life to Christ, was in Columbine when that shooting occurred, and she was killed after being asked if she was a Christian while reading the Bible in the library. | |
| And this is what she wrote just before her passing. | |
| Listen to this. | |
| Here's what Cassie had written in her journal. | |
| Now I have given up on everything else. | |
| I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ, and to experience the mighty power that brought Him back to life again, and to find out what it means to suffer and to die for Him. | |
| So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who have been made alive from the dead. | |
| That bullet that day did not make her a martyr. | |
| it It just revealed it. | |
| It revealed that she had something in her greater than anything outside of her. | |
| That in the face of an evil person and horrible circumstance, with joy, she could say, Yes, I am. | |
| I belong to Him. | |
| Because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. | |
| You know what keeps a Christian from collapsing under the pressures? | |
| They are strengthened with all might. | |
| By the glorious power of God. | |
| You know what you need today? | |
| You need the power of God in your life. | |
| Some of you are like that old lawn mower. | |
| You've been saved, but you're out of power. | |
| You've been trying to do everything in your own strength. | |
| You've been trying to be married in your strength. | |
| You've been trying to live the Christian life in your strength. | |
| You've been trying to go to work in your strength. | |
| You're doing everything in your own strength. | |
| Let me tell you something. | |
| Stop pulling the string. | |
| And go to God and say, God, strengthen me! | |
| With all might, according to, I'll tell you something right now, it doesn't cost $3.69 a gallon either. | |
| He'll give you high octane and it'll be overflowing. | |
| You can have power. | |
| Now listen to me, you can never know patience and joy and long-suffering and thankfulness if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. | |

| Don't wait for tomorrow. | |
| Don't wait until next Sunday. | |
| I mean, today is the day to know Christ. | |
| And to have Christ in you. | |
| Sins forgiven and a new life. | |
| That you can grow in Christ. | |
| If you don't know Him, you can know Him today. | |
| And Christian, today is the day for us to stop and say, Lord, fill me with Your strength. | |
| Your power. | |
| And the Lord will give you His Holy Spirit. | |
| I promise you. | |
| On the authority of this book. | |
| You can have the power of God. | |
