[00:03:06]  King Charles talked about how the word of the United States is important and matters and the weight with which it carries should always be of paramount import, which there were then audible groans in the audience.
[00:03:23]  Obviously, he was talking about the fact that Donald Trump has undermined the weight of what it means when the United States speaks.

[00:03:33]  Let me show you what went down during this joint session.
[00:03:37]  And I think you'll see how King Charles really was able to call Trump out in his own way.

[00:28:24]  I don't see that we benefited from any of that.
[00:28:26]  This president is all about bullying and threats, and it's back to the Roy Cohn School of Business.

[00:28:34]  Number two, threaten everybody, attack, attack, attack all the time.
[00:28:39]  And finally, whatever happens, declare victory, claim that you've got control, that you're in charge, and everything's just fine.
[00:28:45]  When Trump is driven out of office as a result of all of this, and I think it's inevitable at this stage, he's going to be making the same speech on his way out.

[00:36:58]  The first person that's taken off the stage, so you got gunfire outside of the ballroom, it's not inside the ballroom.
[00:37:05]  The first person to be taken off stage was JD Vance.
[00:37:10]  And I look at it and go, what in God's name is going on?
[00:37:13]  The protocol, the standard, the requirement is the president.
[00:37:18]  Get the president.
[00:37:19]  Everybody else can die.

[00:37:21]  That's who you save.
[00:37:22]  That's what Secret Service is supposed to be trained to do.

[00:37:46]  The second thing is the failure of the security perimeter, that it was not properly set up.

[00:38:01]  So you set the first layer that nobody gets past that first layer unless they have a right to be in that hotel.
[00:38:09]  They can show that they're a guest or that they've got an invitation.

[00:38:25]  Here we have Trump using a correspondence dinner to justify expanding spy powers as the deadline nears.

[00:38:44]  Came days ahead of a deadline for extending the far reaching government surveillance powers.
[00:38:50]  President Donald Trump wasted no time in claiming that the attempted attack on the event proved the FBI must be permitted to spy on Americans without obtaining warrants.
[00:39:01]  In an interview with Fox on News Sunday, Trump repeated his previous remarks he's willing to give up his security in favor of extending Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
[00:39:18]  Which is set to expire on Thursday, suggesting other Americans to do the same for the safety of our nation.
[00:39:25]  No, no, absolutely not.
[00:39:28]  There's going to be nothing left of safety when we give up our security for safety and obtain neither.
[00:39:36]  Meanwhile, Trump approval sinks to a new low as war with Iran drives cost of living concerns.
[00:39:46]  Washington.
[00:39:48]  Approval rate fell to.
[00:39:50]  The lowest level of his current term is Americans increasingly soured on his handling of the cost of living in an unpopular war with Iran, according to New Reuters Ipsos poll.
[00:40:03]  The four day poll completed on Monday showed 34% of Americans approve of Trump performance, down from 36% in a prior poll conducted from April 15th to the 20th.
[00:40:16]  The majority of responses were gathered before.
[00:40:21]  Saturday night shooting at the White House correspondent's dinner where Trump was due to speak.
[00:40:27]  It remains to be seen that the incident at which a gunman was stopped before he could enter a hall where Trump was dining might affect people's views of the U.S. leader.
[00:40:37]  It appears to me they aren't changing.
[00:40:40]  People are not being deceived.
[00:40:44]  Here we have a report from Winter Watch Neil Caligula gets no balance from a fake assassination attempt.
[00:40:54]  So after approval hits second term low, it's really quite stunning.
[00:41:00]  You got the disapproval up to 64%, approval 34%, asking the real question how can 34% of Americans continue to approve of Trump?
[00:41:13]  I think that's a good question.
[00:41:16]  Meanwhile, why doesn't the Secret Service rebuke the claim this was a staged assassination attempt?
[00:41:24]  I guarantee it 100%, absolutely, running down the hallway, sprinting past the security.
[00:41:32]  There was a guard there who could have.
[00:41:34]  Blocked him, tackled him, tripped him, shot him.
[00:41:37]  It was ridiculous.
[00:41:39]  There's supposed to have been shots fired, but there are no marks on any of the hallways.
[00:41:45]  Where is the shotgun he's supposed to have had when he's running through the hallway?
[00:41:49]  There's no shotgun, there's no handgun, there are no lives in evidence.
[00:41:54]  By the time the Secret Service subdued Cole Thomas Allen, the would be pistol and shotgun wielding assassin who tried to bleach a Washington Hilton ballroom, Well, of course, while the dinner was underway, the hashtags fake and staged already were propagating across social media.
[00:42:14]  In fact, there were reports from the Hilton at the time that were saying how many issues here don't add up.
[00:42:23]  And many, by the way, simply calmly stayed to finish their salad.
[00:42:28]  I'm even wondering whether the kitchen had bothered to prepare the meals because they weren't going to have the opportunity to serve them.
[00:42:37]  And just as Larry Johnson observed, Vance was rushed right out.
[00:42:42]  We had Trump sitting there calmly, coolly, as though he understood exactly what's going on.
[00:42:48]  Later, you see him peering up behind curtains to see how people are acting, reacting.
[00:42:53]  We had Carolyn Levitt prior to the event give an interview during which she said Trump shots would be fired.
[00:43:03]  And of course, we're supposed to interpret that as just being coincidental.
[00:43:08]  She meant verbal shots or pot shots.
[00:43:12]  But it's ironic.
[00:43:13]  Plus, a reporter was sitting next to her husband, said shortly before the event occurred, her husband, Carolyn Levin's husband, leaned over and said, You've got to be safe.
[00:43:25]  And when she started to go on to add more, they cut her off.
[00:43:28]  And they cut her off so abruptly, it was clearly deliberate.
[00:43:35]  Alan, 31, a teacher from California, checked into the Hilton on April 24th.
[00:43:41]  Me was inside the hotel before security perimeters were established.
[00:43:46]  Manometers installed in a ballroom lobby.
[00:43:50]  Allen had traveled from California to D.C. on business, and business was to eliminate as many Trump officials as possible with a shotgun, a pistol, and an eclectic assortment of knives.
[00:44:04]  His rampage ended when Secret Service tackled him, but not before he managed to shoot an agent.
[00:44:10]  None of this is in evidence.
[00:44:13]  Fortunately, the agent's bulletproof vest saved him.
[00:44:16]  Then we got him virtually naked on the floor.
[00:44:19]  I mean, this is all ridiculous.
[00:44:21]  This is a joke.
[00:44:22]  This is truly insulting.
[00:44:27]  Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel on Melania, Donald Trump demanding his firing.
[00:44:40]  He just made a joke a couple of days before the event about Melania having the glow of an expectant widow.

[00:44:54]  The idea of insisting he be fired is ridiculous.

[00:46:11]  The president, the vice president, members of the press, everybody got roast.

[00:46:15]  It was a lot of fun.
[00:46:16]  But this year, they said, no comedian.
[00:46:18]  We're bringing in a mentalist instead.
[00:46:21]  So on Thursday.
[00:46:23]  Three days before the event, in order to keep that cherished tradition alive, I did my own version of the correspondence dinner on my show.
[00:46:31]  I put on a tuxedo.
[00:46:32]  We pretended we had an audience of luminaries.
[00:46:36]  We used old footage of the Trumps, of Pete Hegseth, JD Vance, Kid Rock, Vanilla Ice, all the members of his cabinet.
[00:46:44]  And we made it seem like they were all together in a room.
[00:46:47]  We had a little roast.
[00:46:48]  Again, this was Thursday, and there was no big reaction to it until this morning when I greeted the day.
[00:46:54]  Facing yet another Twitter vomit storm.
[00:46:57]  And a call to fire me from our first lady, Melania Trump, saying I should be fired because of a joke I made, again, five nights ago.
[00:47:07]  It was a pretend roast.
[00:47:08]  I said, Our first lady, Melania, is here.
[00:47:10]  Look at her, so beautiful.
[00:47:12]  Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow, which obviously was a joke about their age difference and the look of joy we see on her face every time they're together.
[00:47:26]  It was a very light roast joke about.
[00:47:28]  The fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than I am.

[00:47:30]  It was not, by any stretch of the definition, a call to assassination, and they know that.
[00:47:37]  I've been very vocal for many years speaking out against gun violence in particular, but I understand that the First Lady had a stressful experience over the weekend, and probably every weekend is pretty stressful in that house.
[00:47:49]  And also, I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject.
[00:47:54]  I do, and I think a great place to start to dial that back would be to have a conversation with your husband about it.
[00:48:00]  Because, by the way, I also should point out Donald Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants to say, as are you, and as am I, as are all of us, because under the First Amendment, we have, as Americans, a right to free speech.
[00:48:18]  But with that said, I am sorry that you and the president and everyone in that room on Saturday went through that.
[00:48:27]  I really am.
[00:48:27]  Just because no one got killed doesn't mean it wasn't traumatic and scary.
[00:48:31]  We should come together and be best.
[00:48:33]  We really should.
[00:48:34]  But if you want us to believe that a joke I made three days before this dinner had any effect on anything that happened, well, then maybe someone should look into this psychic lady, too.

[00:49:20]  But whatever the case, the president cleared that up pretty quickly.
[00:49:24]  The administration's calling out Kimball, trying to pressure ABC.
[00:49:27]  But they're being careful, I think, not to explicitly demand that ABC punish him.
[00:49:33]  Despite their rhetoric that sometimes becomes very incendiary from the White House and, yes, is also incendiary from the left, these stress tests have been passed.
[00:49:41]  And we've not seen demands for silencing be followed through by government censorship.
[00:49:48]  Well, Brian, just as we were speaking, the president actually put out a note.
[00:49:52]  Demanding that Jimmy Kim will be fired by ABC.
[00:49:56]  Well, in that case, forget everything I just said.
[00:50:00]  And bear in mind, the First Amendment is a constraint on the government, that the government cannot inhibit our freedom of speech or freedom of the press.
[00:50:09]  So here you got the President of the United States and our First Lady violating the First Amendment in a blatant fashion.

[00:50:19]  It suggests the low level to which politics and discourse in the United States.

[01:46:48]  You know, we always have a history of, oh, the communists start the war, or the socialist Nazis start the war, and yet you don't get anybody as archetypical as a capitalist than Donald Trump.

[01:47:07]  He was a businessman.
[01:47:09]  And so, what did he do?
[01:47:12]  Well, we know what he did.
[01:47:13]  On February 28th, he had an arranged meeting with the leadership of the Iranian government in good faith.
[01:47:21]  It was supposed to be a good faith, just negotiations.
[01:47:25]  And Donald Trump ordered that they get murdered and bombed in cold blood.
[01:47:30]  That's what Donald Trump did.
[01:47:32]  Donald Trump is a murderer.

[01:47:36]  He's a capitalist murderer.

[01:47:40]  Now, Donald Trump has for decades said, we're going to take the oil.
[01:47:46]  We're going to take the oil, right?
[01:47:48]  And back in his first term, he actually did take some oil because he allowed.
[01:47:53]  That military base in Syria called Al-Kham.
[01:47:59]  And that was basically just to babysit the oil stealing operations going on in Syria, because that's what our military was doing, babysitting oil theft.
[01:48:10]  But also remember, it's not just oil theft, it's also oil destruction or just keeping oil out of the marketplace.
[01:48:20]  Remember with George Bush, the reason why we went into the Iraq War the second time.
[01:48:26]  Well, the vice president came from Halliburton, Mr. Cheney, and the goal wasn't to steal Iraq's oil, but to get Iraq and its oil out of the marketplace so it wouldn't push down prices.
[01:48:45]  And so they did that.
[01:48:47]  They destroyed Saddam Hussein's government.
[01:48:52]  And it actually, at the time, it acclimated Americans to paying.
[01:48:57]  I remember gasoline got up almost.
[01:48:59]  Four bucks a gallon back in 2003, if I recall.
[01:49:02]  It went way up.
[01:49:04]  Yes.
[01:49:04]  Under George Bush Jr.
[01:49:06]  Yeah.
[01:49:07]  And so that acclimated.
[01:49:08]  But everybody thought, oh, it's the war.
[01:49:10]  So the war is the excuse.
[01:49:13]  And people, for some reason, being so jingoistic, they tolerate these high prices.
[01:49:20]  Kind of like what's going on now.
[01:49:22]  We see a lot of the MAGA people sitting there defending the extra dollar a gallon I'm paying.
[01:49:30]  For gasoline, and they're normalizing it.
[01:49:33]  Oh, it's not such a bad thing.
[01:49:35]  Oh, what are you complaining about?
[01:49:37]  Oh, you know, what's your problem?
[01:49:40]  You hate this country, all the rest of that.
[01:49:43]  Now, Mr. Fetcher, here's the thing.
[01:49:46]  So, Donald Trump wrecks the Persian Gulf.
[01:49:51]  America has made itself really the only, the major exporter of energy in the world.
[01:49:59]  And how did I benefit from this if I'm only If I'm paying a dollar a gallon more at the pump, how does that benefit me?
[01:50:09]  And what's weird about this, now get this, Mr. Professor, some countries who produce oil actually either subsidize or make oil and gasoline very cheap for their citizens.
[01:50:23]  And this is what I want to point out.
[01:50:25]  And I did a Google search on this.
[01:50:27]  And get this what country has one of the lowest domestic prices for gasoline in the world?
[01:50:34]  Iran does.
[01:50:37]  Who's another one?
[01:50:38]  Libya.
[01:50:38]  Libya offers extremely low prices.
[01:50:42]  You see, because if you have the oil coming out of the ground basically almost infinitely, and you got it just coming up, if you just process it quickly through one refinery, you should have really, really cheap gasoline, unless, of course, that oil in the ground is owned by private corporations.
[01:51:07]  Or individuals, and they of course want to gouge maximum profits out of it.
[01:51:14]  And so there's another country that has extremely low gas prices.
[01:51:19]  Notice these are all countries we consider backwards, you know, Libya, Venezuela, Egypt is another one.
[01:51:26]  Angola is another one.
[01:51:28]  So while Americans are now paying near $4 a gallon for gasoline, some countries like Egypt, they're paying less than $1 a gallon of gasoline.
[01:51:41]  And so why can't Donald Trump, at least if he's destroyed the fuel of the rest of the world, can he at least provide Energy to Americans, the people he's supposed to serve.
[01:51:56]  Can't we get some kind of government subsidized, not subsidized through taxes, but just by not taxing it as much, not taxing as individuals, and cheap fuel for Americans?
[01:52:10]  And so this is what I'm saying.
[01:52:12]  And this is capitalism.
[01:52:13]  A lot of these other countries, like under Saddam Hussein, gasoline was very cheap under him, right?
[01:52:19]  And under Gaddafi, Libya too.
[01:52:21]  Gasoline was very cheap.
[01:52:23]  And those are the socialists, right?
[01:52:25]  So, I'm just elucidating that capitalism is just the elite leasing the Americans.

[01:54:12]  So using this as an excuse to finance here the underground bunker beneath the ballroom and so forth, oh, please give me a break, especially given that you've got a fiasco you created over in the Strait of Hormuz with Iran and all the other various countries along in that Gulf area.
[01:54:32]  And the fact that you talk about imploding the US, which is basically happening in a nutshell.
[01:54:39]  There was a lot of brilliant commentary I've heard so far about how things are going to waste in the fields and all that.
[01:54:46]  And yet, also, we got people going out here killing people because they're a different skin color and whatever have you.
[01:54:53]  You know, a lot of things can be reported.
[01:54:57]  A lot of things can be positive.
[01:54:59]  Some things are definitely negative and so forth.
[01:55:01]  But yes.
[01:55:03]  If you actually had people going out in the field and helping to harvest instead of sitting on their desk playing with a video game or you know whatever kind of toy I have to agree with that sentiment.
[01:55:16]  People are so obsessed that they don't even know how to write in English or at least in English script for that matter and it's really insulting.
[01:55:27]  I mean there's also the languages as well written languages that I bet people hardly even write anymore but you can see it written.
[01:55:35]  elsewhere around the world.
[01:55:36]  So the question is, are people going to stop allowing themselves to be pulled by the nose ring if they have one of those?
[01:55:44]  Or maybe who knows what they have attached to their face.

[01:55:50]  But anyway, aside from that, this is getting ridiculous.
[01:55:54]  And I have to agree with Paul about one aspect.
[01:55:57]  Last time that the peel shot up nearly $4 or higher was about 2001, 2002, because of the whole desert storm scenario.

[01:56:13]  They were allowed in for crying out loud I mean even the UH bay and the butcher was given a key to the White House for crying out loud and allowed to sit in the uh, the the situation room and giving advice on what's going on.
