	We've got a good reason for taking the easy way out now.
	We want the day to trip up.
	One way to get in.
	It took me so long to find out.
	I found out.
	Well, this is Jim Fetzer, your host on Authentic News, right here on RBN Live.
	It's the 11th day of July 2024.
	The NATO Summit has been taking place.
	Consortium News reports the endgame appears to be nuclear war.
	A hostile military alliance now, including even Sweden and Finland, is at the very borders of Russia.
	That's right, that's how Russian leaders are supposed to react as a NATO summit kicks off in Washington.
	The world is at its most dangerous moments at the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
	Back then, however, a fear of total destruction consumed the public.
	Today, fewer seem even to be aware of the possibility.
	It is easily imaginable that nuclear war could break out between Russia and perhaps China with the West, yet politicians continue to escalate tensions, place hundreds of thousands of troops at high readiness, and attack military targets inside Russia, even while ordinary citizens blithely go on with their lives.
	The situation is without parallel in history.

	Scott, let's start with your new book with Anya Kay, talking about the conflict in Ukraine.
	And it's a very important book.
	I've just read it.
	And could you elaborate on this book and what you bring with this book to us?
	Sure.
	I'll just show the people the cover of the book.
	The title of the book is Covering Ukraine.
	It's the Scott Ritter interviews through the eyes of Anya Kay.
	Just a back story.
	My publisher, Clarity Press, had been pressuring me for some time now to write a book on Ukraine, on the Ukraine conflict.
	And indeed, we had a contract for such a book, and I was supposed to deliver the manuscript in August of 2022.
	Well, there's more going on there.
	Meanwhile, Poland, Defense Chief, declares Poland must prepare military for full-scale conflict.
	Bizarre!
	We have Poland's Army Chief of Staff, General Wieslaw Kerkula, emphasizing the need to prepare the country's forces for a full-scale conflict rather than an asymmetric-type battle.
	The situation has arisen due to deteriorating relations with Russia and Belarus since Moscow's invasion of Ukraine of 2022, which, as we all know, was a defensive operation to protect the Donbass.
	Poland plans to increase its troop presence along the eastern border, with additional rearguard forces ready to step up within 48 hours.
	The country has also wrapped up defense spending in response to regional tensions.
	Why Poland would think it could make a significant difference in relation to Russia is a good question.
	Meanwhile, Here's a report on new NATO priorities.
	By defense priorities, by my organization that I work for, by Benjamin Friedman, it is called a new NATO agenda, Less US, less dependency, and by extension, more security.
	Some of the key points in there, and by the way, we have the link to this in the description here if you want to go and read the whole thing.
	I highly recommend it.
	But three things I want to point out here is, number one, the United States should aggressively reduce its force presence in Europe.
	Now, that may seem counterintuitive because we have surged lots of forces in there, especially since 2022.
	But folks, that doesn't do anything to keep us safe.
	All it does is continue to reinforce on the Russian side that they have reason to keep moving their forces to the West and to keep trying to fight to gain more territory so that they can defeat Ukraine.
	And, of course, their desire is to have a rump state, a rump Ukraine in between NATO and Russia.
	They don't – despite what people ridiculously claim that Russia wants to go and invade NATO, they have no interest in doing that.
	They want the opposite.
	They want space between them and NATO.
	So they actually probably would never go beyond the Dnepa River even if they go all the way up to that point because then it undercuts their own security.
	And they're not being foolish with what they're doing.
	They actually have a rational plan.
	Even if you don't like – even if you hate Russia, it's still a rational plan to provide security for them.
	So if by withdrawing our forces and moving them back to the United States or at least moving them in a less – what's the word I'm looking for?
	A provocative posture, then we, again, reduce the reason why Russia would want to continue moving to the West.
	And listen, let me be clear on this.
	The United States does, in fact, have the most powerful military on the planet, especially in terms of force projection and the ability to project force around the world.
	We have incredible airlift, sealift.
	We can move forces anywhere we need to.
	So by withdrawing them from the eastern part of Europe does not put us at any additional risk.
	We can always move anybody back if there's a need to it.
	That's why we're a superpower right now.
	But we should not exploit that and think that we are unlimited in power, and that's one of the things, one of the great failures of the Western world.
	Instead of recognizing we do have power and we should use it judiciously and wisely, we think it's unlimited power and that nobody can do anything against us, which is absurd and patently untrue.
	So that's one of the first things that we should do.
	That lessens tensions and it does not put us at any additional risk.
	And it does save some money.
	Number two, Gary, if you could bring that back up.
	The next thing I wanted to talk about was, he said, Ben wrote, this would be consistent with NATO's original balancing purpose and the U.S.
	expectations then that garrisoning Europe was a temporary expedience, not a permanent tool of U.S.
	dominance.
	NATO was never supposed to be a permanent thing.
	Many of you may be aware of George Washington and his famous final speech as President of the United States' farewell address in which he expressly warned against don't have permanent enemies, don't have permanent alliances.
	Let the conditions that exist foster that because if you have permanent alliances, then you permanently attach yourself to the needs of others, which shift over time.
	And maybe it's not to your advantage in the future.
	That's exactly what it was with NATO.
	When we started, there was a good reason for it.
	Conditions have dramatically changed right now.
	And yeah, you see Gary put that up there on the screen.
	George wrote, you know, why by interviewing or interweaving our destiny without of any other part of Europe entangling our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalrieship, interest, humor, or caprice.
	It is true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.
	That was great advice when he wrote it.
	I think it was 1798 and great advice today.
	And we're seeing the reasons why very graphically played out right now.
	Gary, bring that back up again.
	Yeah, there we go.
	The result of the Russians' invasion of Ukraine underline this happy point.
	Russia has proven weaker than conventional wisdom held.
	Now, again, NATO was formed.
	against the Soviet Union and its massive armada of like 50,000 tanks, millions of troops, thousands of combat aircraft, and of course thousands of missiles.
	None of that exists.
	None of that exists.
	So we don't need this massive bulwark on the other side of it anymore.
	So we don't need to continue to have all that force in there.
	We just need to have the ability to backstop it.
	The defensive alliance, even if you want to continue it for some amount of period in the future, it needs to be commensurate with the risk, not some ethereal thing like bulwark against tyranny, which can mean whatever anybody wants it to mean.
	It has to mean something tangible and specific like the balance of power.
	When you look at the balance of power that exists today, it is overwhelmingly on the Western side.
	Actually, I think he's mistaken about that.
	Here we have Larry Johnson offering a somewhat contrary opinion here, where the U.S. won.
	once had that kind of force but no longer.
	Here he is with Judge Napolitano.
	Larry Johnson will be here in just a moment on how dire is the Ukraine military situation as we speak.
	But first this.
	You all know that I am a paid speaker, my dear friend.
	I have a lot of questions to ask you about Ukraine, particularly in light of a recent piece that you published arguing that the West is grasping at straws.
	But before we do some breaking news from The Lancet, the British medical journal, which says that the dead in Gaza, you ready for this number if you haven't seen it? 186,000 Now, that is between seven and eight percent of the entire population.
	Have you ever seen a massacre like this in such a short period of time against a defenseless people using conventional weapons?
	We're not talking about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
	Well, not in my lifetime.
	The last time we really saw this level of slaughter was during World War II.
	When civilians were being killed, you know, let's face it, the United States and Britain were bombing civilian cities in Germany, just killing mass numbers of civilians.
	Bombs and buildings don't go well together.
	You know, it's a recipe for disaster.
	And the human carnage that we're witnessing is just, it's sickening.
	You know, and this report comes on the heels of the Haaretz report over the weekend.
	Yes.
	That they said, hey, you know, the Israelis instituted the Hannibal Doctrine.
	You know, it's been reported on.
	I know Max Blumenthal and Aaron Maté have been very important in bringing that story to light.
	But Haaretz, you know, they got in there and they dug it out.
	You know what?
	Maybe as of the 1,200 people that were reported killed on October 7th and blamed on Hamas, it may be up over 50-60% of those were killed actually by the Israelis.
	You know, they can call it whatever they want, the Hannibal Doctrine.
	It's murder!
	Yes.
	It's government murder of its own civilians so it didn't have the headache of dealing with them as hostages.
	Yeah.
	I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's gone awful.
	And, but, hey, you know, they, this, this is an indictment of what the Zionists have turned Israel into.
	Just a killing machine that's on par with what the Nazis were.
	I mean, it's, you know, I'm not, and I'm not making that comparison lightly.
	It is that complete, once you dehumanize your enemy and that they become nothing more than just some, some refuse that you need to burn up or, or bury, then you can do anything to them.
	And there's, there is no appreciation and embracing the concept that these are actual human beings.
	Does this affect Prime Minister Netanyahu's tenure in office, the realization of the slaughter, 186,000 Gazans, a thousand of his own people?
	Netanyahu's in a very difficult political position right now, and it's not going to get any better, because you're seeing a widening rift between the military and between the civilian leadership.
	And so it is not just, so Netanyahu has, he's aligned himself with the more extreme elements in his government, you know, the people like Ben-Gavir and Smotrich that we've talked about in the past.
	And at the same time, you've got the, you know, the head of the army and the head of the Navy and even the intelligence folks coming, speaking out very, very publicly to completely contradict What Netanyahu's saying.
	So, for example, you know, when the head of the army was saying just last week, or a couple of weeks ago, you know, we can't defeat Hamas.
	Hamas is an idea.
	There's no way to militarily defeat it.
	And Netanyahu says, oh yeah, we're going to defeat them.
	But, you know, just look at the calendar.
	You know, we're going into the ninth month since this whole war started, and You know, the mighty Israeli army has not been able to defeat this ragtag group of Hamas fighters.
	The Hamas group, you know, they weren't an army.
	They weren't wearing uniforms.
	They're not in a hierarchy where you've got clear chains of command.
	And the people, I guess the members of Hamas are not what you would call highly trained.
	And yet with all of that, They're still alive.
	They're still in ambushing and hitting and killing Israeli military personnel.
	And Israel hasn't been able to stop them.
	So Alistair Crook is of the view that Netanyahu is on thin ice and is putting all of his eggs in the basket of July 24.
	A war criminal, a perpetrator of genocide and slaughter, We'll stand where American presidents have stood and try to persuade a joint session of Congress to declare war on Iran.
	And that will be the pitch that he is going to make.
	He will try and scare everybody in the House chamber into believing that Iran is a danger to the United States.
	Yeah, and he'll probably succeed.
	But, you know, the other part of the story, and I, you know, I don't think his folks or his advisory even thinking thoroughly about it, inserting yourself into the American political process and activities at this time, when the growing Voice is calling for the removal of Joe Biden.
	You know, that's only going to increase over the next couple of weeks.
	We're going to have divisions that exist now, open divisions within the Democrat Party.
	And with prominent Jewish members, supporters of the Democrat Party, people like Ari Berman, that, you know, his father, I guess, had, you know, ties back to the Irgu, so a terrorist group in Israel.
	Very interesting.
	You know, when they're coming out talking about getting rid of Joe Biden, it's not exactly going to be helpful for Netanyahu to be seen standing there arm in arm with Joe Biden.
	In fact, it would be interesting to see if Netanyahu tries to avoid him, stay away from him.
	Very interesting.
	Very, very interesting indeed.
	Meanwhile, top German ministers resist a plan to bring back inscription.

	A proposal to draft 5,000 young men a year into the armed forces would be a deep intrusion on freedom and hurt the economy, the defense chief has been told.
	Two senior German ministers have declared their opposition to plans for a limited revival of conscription.
	Which they argue would impose a deep intrusion into the freedom of those called up.
	Last month, Boris Historius, the defense minister, set out a proposal under which all men aged 18 would be compelled to register their names, and about 5,000 would be drafted each year.
	The idea modeled on a similar scheme in Sweden is primarily intended to ease the severe recruitment shortfall in the armed forces, which are more than 20,000 personnel below their target strength.
	Well, you can see that sort of thing is also going to be coming to the United States.
	Meanwhile, Viktor Orban explains that Soros' clouded pivot strategy meant to collapse countries with unlimited immigration.
	Here he speaks.
	I don't remember how Mr. George Soros published his plan in English, in a Project Syndicate publication.
	It was done 2015, September 26.
	And he published a plan.
	He said that he is my, I'm quoting, here are the six components of my comprehensive plan.
	I just quote two or three points of that.
	First is, he said very clearly, 2015, that, quoting again, EU has to accept at least a million asylum seekers annually.
	That was the first point.
	Second, he said, adequate financing is critical.
	And he proposed to issue long-term euro bonds for financing the migration crisis and the migrants' social and welfare taking care when they arrive to the European Union.
	And another point which is very important for Hungary, which is involving the territory of Hungary directly into this program, he said that safe channels, safe channels.
	That's the plan to destroy these countries using migrants as the method.

	And bear in mind now, Iran has defense alliances with Russia, probably also with China.
	Iran has very sophisticated military equipment.
	It showed during its retaliation for the attack on its consulate.
	In Damascus, Syria, which was Iranian sovereign territory, that it can retaliate and has hypersonic missiles Israel cannot defeat.
	Netanyahu for 30 years now has been claiming Iran was on the verge of developing a nuclear bomb.
	It was untrue then.
	It may or may not be untrue now.
	But if Iran had nukes, then there'd be stability in the Middle East.
	So I have advocated that Iran ought to acquire nuclear weapons.
	But get this, just Monday, The White House ruled out the idea of resuming negotiations related to Iran's civilian nuclear program, despite the election of a new president who seeks a revival of the Iran nuclear deal, which the Trump administration tore up in 2018.
	This is a big mistake by the United States.
	The Iran deal was a good deal.
	It's one of the cases where Trump, in my opinion, got it wrong.

	Senate joins House in proposal for automatic draft registration.

	Contrary to earlier reports, the U.S.
	Senate has joined the House in moving toward a foolhardy attempt to automatically register all draft eligible U.S.
	citizens and residents for possible military draft by extracting and aggregating information obtained from other federal agencies.
	The proposal for automatic draft registration is among several previously undisclosed provisions related to selective service in the newly released version of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2025, approved by the Senate Armed Services Committee to be considered by the full Senate.
	The 1,197 page proposal was approved by the committee in closed session last month, and a summary was released at the time.
	A spokesperson told the author, if automatic selective service registration had been included in the bill, it would have been in the summary.
	That proves to have been incorrect.
	A proposal for automatic draft registration was included in the version of the bill, but not in the summary.
	Stand by.
	The reception of automatic registration here in the U.S.
	is going to be no less strong than in Germany.

	Here we have a former Republican press secretary offering advice to Biden.

	Fox News anchor Dana Perino, who served as press secretary to former President George W. Bush, suggested that Biden, whose recent struggles and apparent cognitive decline have been front and center since his disastrous first debate with former President Trump, would not be best served by another public attempt at a clean-up.
	Referencing a scheduled news conference Biden had planned for Thursday, three weeks to the day since the debate, Reno said Biden was likely to be flooded with questions that he thus far has not seemed prepared to answer.

	No doubt Biden will not agree to it.
	Trump offered another challenge, saying Biden said he'd do months ago.

	And if he wins, I'll give the charity of his choice.

	Trump said at a rally that was down in Florida near the Doral golf course.

	Trump challenged him to the 18-hole game on the golf course in Doral, same location the rally was being held.
	He added, it'll be among the most watched sporting events in history, maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or even the Masters.
	And I'll give him 10 strokes a side.
	The problem being it would take Biden 10 strokes just to make the first hole.
	Trump wants to compete for a million to charity and then give the money.
	But the Biden campaign offered a pathetic response.

	We challenged Trump to create jobs, but he lost $3 billion.
	We challenged Trump to stand up to Putin.
	But he bent the knee to him.
	We challenge Trump to follow the law, but he breaks it.
	We challenge Trump to not destroy our country.
	But that's all his Project 2025 aims to do.

	citizenship to vote, calling non-citizen voting extraordinarily rare.

	So what did that do?
	I'm not, you know, he was never fighting against this genocide, but there's that segment of his party that did actually get something right where they recognized the genocide.

	I want to try and I'll be accused of being an optimist, but I think this is God's hand in it.

	I have to be hopeful because literally we're on the doorstep of World War III, and to balance it out, I would say we're still in very great danger.

	Situation I had found with this huge surge in emergency medical responses.
	Here in the Charlotte area, in fact, all of Mecklenburg County where.
	Over the past few years.
	The emergency medical incidents have increased by almost 26% with only about a 4% increase in population.
	And I went and checked for that in some other large counties, Wake County, which just recently surpassed Mecklenburg County as the most populous county in North Carolina.
	I'm seeing the same, essentially the same thing there.
	This tremendous surge in emergency medical responses, well in excess of the population increase.
	And I also did it for some other large counties.
	Broward County in Florida, Pinellas County in Florida, Fairfax County in Virginia, Fulton In Gwinnett County in Georgia, Greenville and Richland counties in South Carolina, the same pattern.
	Essentially in all of them.
	Yeah, it's James James James James, you do you think?
	Could it be related to delayed effects of the Vax?
	You know, I mean by reducing or eliminating people's immune systems.
	They're subject to being unable to fight problems they've had that they've been coping with well up until the time that they took the vax.
	And it's been estimated we're going to have a huge proliferation of new medical problems and sudden deaths as a consequence.
	Could that be related?
	If I had to bet, I'd put money on it.

	I went back enough to see that the surge has just been over the last few years.
	I mean, there's been a steady increase and then there's, you know, what's called the hockey stick effect where you get a gradual increase and then it just shoots up.

	And I'm seeing it in all of these large counties.
	I'm almost afraid to look at some of the counties where we're having just this tremendous influx of immigrants in the high-crime counties in these blue states, but from what I've seen so far, I would be willing to say that this is a nationwide pattern.

	And just think of the colossal expense encountered by every county that's having to deal with a vast number of new medical cases.
	The hospitals may make more profits, but I mean, it's such a waste of resources in human life.
	But then that was the whole idea to decimate the population.
	So what you're reporting seems to me is perfectly consistent with the depopulation agenda, and the consequences are going to be vast and debilitating to the community as a whole.

	The thing is, you nailed it completely when you talked about the things that our country has done to other countries, okay?
	The reason a lot of those people are coming over here is because we robbed and killed them.
	They're poor.
	Cuba and Haiti are poor because of what was done to them.

	The thing is, they had to pay back $10-20 billion to the French for the loss of the value of their slaves.
	When they, when they, when the slaves beat them in the rebellion.
	It took them 122 years to do that because they didn't have the money.
	They had to take out the loan at interest from a French bank.

	Now, when they had all those earthquakes in Haiti, some people were saying, look, to help those people rebuild, y'all need to give some of that money back, okay, so they can rebuild.

	So the thing is, but I have an important question today I would like people to think about.
	Now, we're, you know, we're told by certain segments of this genre, That, you know, WASP-y Christians are the next thing to Jesus.
	And the thing is, if you go to Pew Research, you can look up all the demographics of who has had the most people in Congress, the President, and everything else, go look for yourself, that has had the most control over this country.
	Okay, yes, WASP-y white men, okay?
	So wait, this is my question.
	Now, if these people are so great, and the Jews are so bad, this is my question.
	We can wipe out whole countries, go to war for 20 years, and if y'all think Rothschild's the problem, and we have no problem with war crimes, obviously, wouldn't a few well-placed missiles at the Rothschild estate That would be a good idea, wouldn't it?

	They're called the Portuguese.

	But Cuba is an interesting place because the architecture in Havana is magnificent.
	Masons back in the 1700s and 1800s that were Masons in Cuba, they did some beautiful work.
	They did beautiful churches.
	They did a lot of beautiful stuff in the Masonry.

	The churches, you had the Tropicana, the Copacabana, you had all the, look, there was, before Las Vegas was Vegas, Jim, you had Havana, Cuba.

	They were going to Cuba.
	Cuba had mostly everything back in 1957.
	Car, put it on a ferry boat, we'd have a ferry service to Key Largo, would go to Havana, Cuba.
	For $8, back and forth.
	Okay.
	I don't people notice that Tampa, Florida is closer to Miami, to Havana, than Miami, Florida is to Havana.
	The shipping lanes.
	Sure.
	On the shipping lanes, you can go from Tampa to Havana quicker than you can from Miami.

	To Havana.
	Now, if you go to, if you go to Veradero, Veradero, Miami's closer.
	Or to Key West, much closer, of course, with all of them.
	Key West is only 90 miles.
	But, for Havana, to the big cities, it would be Tampa.
	Of course they had back in Yerba City in Tampa, Jim, if you've ever been there, they had cigar factories.
	They were coming here since the early 1900s making tobacco with cigars in Tampa.
	So, you know, there was always a trade between Cuba and the United States for pineapples and tobacco and, you know, all the fruits that used to come back and forth.
	A massive trade.
	But, yeah, you know, Cuba What happened with Cuba, Jim, is the Communists, when Castro took over, Cuba was, I mean, slushed with money.

	They had all the cars, they had everything going on.
	Especially the white, uh, and you had a lot of, uh, Sarpardites over there running everything.

	So the truth of the matter is, Cuba was a very prosperous country in 1955, for God's sake.
