[00:00:04] I just wanted to give you a heads up about the latest special guest. [00:00:08] He's fantastic. [00:00:10] He's Dr. [00:00:11] James Todaro. [00:00:12] You may have heard of him. [00:00:13] He was the earliest guy to write about the potential ability of hydroxychloroquine to sort out coronavirus and And he's been pushing this message ever since. [00:00:26] He talks to me about this and about LancetGate, the humiliation, the abject humiliation of the world's second most talked about medical journal, edited by a hard-left activist. [00:01:20] I'm interested. [00:01:22] I hadn't realized that you published the first paper on hydroxychloroquine as a potential. [00:01:28] I mean, I'm familiar with a... [00:01:30] I wrote about this for Breitbart, and what I found was that there was a 2005 paper on, you must have read this, on how hydroxychloroquine was being used as a treatment for SARS, which is basically coronavirus 1, isn't it? [00:01:47] Yeah. [00:01:48] So was that what inspired you, or was it the anecdotal reports coming out of China where I think they'd been using it there as well? [00:01:55] It was actually a combination of all those. [00:01:57] So, First of all, as a physician, I was very familiar with hydroxychloroquine. [00:02:02] One of the main side effects is visually. [00:02:05] But that's after five years of using the medication, not after a small prophylactic treatment course. [00:02:12] So I started seeing a combination of all. [00:02:14] So there's a 2005 study looking at its efficacy in SARS-1. [00:02:18] There was anecdotal reports coming out from China and South Korea where it's being used in their treatment guidelines. [00:02:24] There was in vitro evidence of its efficacy in primate cells. [00:02:29] And then You know, all this together, what really was surprising to me is I had not heard a single thing about it mentioned in the mainstream media or by, you know, a lot of researchers. === All My Fault (00:42) === [00:02:43] It was all remdesivir or, you know, some of these other, you know, on patent medications. [00:02:49] And so that was very surprising to me. [00:02:50] And my colleague, Greg, as well, who co-authored the paper with me, he had been doing research on the antiviral effects of chloroquine for about a decade. [00:02:59] So he was very familiar with the medications. [00:03:01] Well, we teamed together, put out that report. [00:03:04] Elon Musk tweeted it out, I think a day or two later. [00:03:07] And then about three or four days later, the president's talking about it in a press. [00:03:13] So it's all your fault, basically. [00:03:15] This controversy is apparently all my fault.
