Open your Bibles to Revelation chapter 11.
Revelation chapter 11.
How many here use the King James Bible like I do?
How many carry the King James Bible?
Let me see.
That's about, what, what would you say, a fourth of the people here?
And so many of the other versions are getting very popular.
The NIV is good in some ways.
Some people think it has some errors in it.
But we use the Word of God and all the different versions.
We can study them.
And there's Greek and Hebrew study Bibles now that will help you so much to understand.
And if you're computer literate, you can get BibleSoft, which I use.
And it has all the versions and has Greek and Hebrew.
And you can just click on through there and you can become a scholar almost.
You can study the word because there's so many wonderful inventions today that help us to learn.
But whatever version you're using, let's study.
Let's study to see what the original transcript said, the original text said.
Revelation chapter 11.
I believe chapter 10 and 11 are the coming of the Lord, the rapture of the church.
I believe it's telling us about it.
I believe that the seventh trumpet, the final trumpet, if this is not where Christ comes back, if I'm wrong, I still believe somewhere in the seventh trumpets.
The seventh trumpet is the coming of the Lord.
He comes at the final trumpet.
And everything that takes place from now on is after and is a part of this final trumpeting.
And we're going to study this just together.
And let's find out what's happening now.
Revelation 11, 1.
And there was given me a reed, some versions say a pin, like unto a rod.
And the angel stood saying, and the angel stood, it's not in the original text.
Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and them that worship therein.
Some believe that whenever something's to be measured like this, it is a sign that destruction is coming.
It's a biblical sign.
I just throw that out for your thinking.
But the court which is without the temple, leave out and measure it not, for it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city shall they tread underfoot 40 and two months, about three and a half years.
We are waiting now for this seventh trumpet to sound.
And I don't have the dates of the coming of the Lord for this event or any other event in the Bible.
I don't know the day.
I don't know the time.
Only God knows when Jesus, it says even the Son doesn't know the hour.
He's the return.
Only the Father, he's kept that secret.
That's a part of this great secret of the last days in this Revelation.
And God's revealing secrets to us now.
And we're looking for Jesus.
And we're to be aware of the times we're living in.
The Bible is filled with material to let us know and be aware of the last days.
Taking Pieces Out Of Context 00:03:45
The Bible says that God is not pleased that this day would come upon you unaware.
He's given you all this word.
And that's why you need to break loose from the teaching of just God prosper me.
God give me money.
God, give me, give me, give me.
And we study the Bible today and we call it proof texting.
Proof texting means that all you do is when you go to preach, you go and you study just to prove your theory.
And you can take a little piece here and a little piece there.
How many know if everything you've ever said was put together in a book, they could make you say about anything they wanted to say.
They could put the periods in the commas at the wrong place, and they could take a piece here and a piece there and make you look real bad.
I'm telling you, I was on trial one time, and somebody accused me of firing a chef because I said that he didn't put mustard on my hot dog.
Well, you know what happened?
Somebody was eavesdropping, and I always toured all the restaurants at Heritage and all the places, and we had a Jim Baker hot dog on the menu.
And wouldn't you love to have a hot dog named after you?
And so there on the hot dog, my hot dog was, as they say down south, was all the way.
You know, we even had slaw.
I got real southern.
I had slaw on it.
We had ketchup and mustard and onions and what is that meat stuff you put on it?
Chili.
Yeah, we had all of it.
And so, and there was no chefs making hot dogs, honey.
I'm sorry.
We didn't hire chefs.
They were kids working at McMoose's.
And so, and I was just in a back room talking with the manager that he had to discipline the kids to do what the menu said and use the recipes.
How many know Colonel Sanders was insisting that you use his recipe?
He fired a whole franchise one time because the guy tried to change the recipe.
He said, don't fool with the recipe.
Well, all I was just, I was just basically telling them, you know, if we're going to do things, we need to do it right by the plan and by the recipe.
And I didn't fire no kid because he didn't put mustard on my hot dog.
I could care less.
But see, somebody heard a piece of something.
And you can get a piece of something and not have the truth.
You could have something that even is a piece of truth that ends up not being truth.
You understand what I'm saying?
Somebody take a piece of what they heard you say, and that's not what you meant at all.
And that's what we've done to the word of the living God.
We are called proof texting.
And all we do is we want to preach on something.
And so we just preach and we dig it all up.
And so we just dig up stuff just to back up what I want.
Remember, I called them longhorn sermon.
I didn't originate that longhorn sermon thing.
That came from some very famous preachers on the radio.
And they just, one day I heard them in prison.
And they said, you know, the trouble with today, we have longhorned sermons.

And I didn't know what it meant.
And I listened a little bit longer.
And it was on Dr. Dobson's program.
And it said, a point here and a point there and a lot of bull in between.
And that's what proof texting is.
It's a piece here and a piece there and a lot of Jim Baker or anybody else in between.
We've got to have the whole word of God.
Amen.
And that's why we're studying this book word by word by word by word.
And we're taking, how many lessons have we had so far, honey?
Do you remember?
18 or 19 hours already, and we're only on chapter 11.
So I've got to move faster with these teachings.
But it's important.
We could take thousands of hours in this book.
Already spent thousands of hours in this book, and that's not enough.
I'm learning more this week.
God showed me a new revelation.
I'll share it in just a moment.
So here we go again.
Said, we are looking for Jesus.
Amen.
Turn over to 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 1.
This is an important piece.
I want you to go over there, if you will.
1 Thessalonians chapter 5.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you.
Now, see, you could take that verse right there and leave it right as it is and say, Well, that says that the times and the seasons you don't have to know about.
And it's not true.
That's not what he says.
You stop too soon.
You can't just take one sentence.
But the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction come upon them.
See, the Jews are going to be real secure when the Antichrist starts his reign.
They're going to think they're going to have their temple back.
They're going to be thrilled.
But in the middle of it, of peace and safety, sudden destruction hits.
Sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
Are you there?
Verse 4.
You got to follow along.
Your preachers could slip stuff in if you didn't know.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness.
This is you, Christian, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
We've read this a lot.
We're going further today.
You are all the children of light and the children of the day.
We are not of the night nor of the darkness.
Now, Paul goes on to give us a set of rules for the last days.
You need to mark this chapter in your Bible.
This is a series of things that Paul is going to tell us of how to survive in the last days, how to make it.
1 Thessalonians 5:6.
Now we go on.
Keys to the last days.
Write those in your Bible.
If you don't write in your Bible, you ought to start.
Just mark it up, underline.
Therefore, let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober.
It's not time to go get drunk and to hide your pain.
God is going to be your comfort.
For they that sleep sleep in the night, and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
We are a generation of the night, people.
This generation right now.
These are the night.
Lori, when did you party?
At night.
When do people go out and get drunk usually?
At night.
They revel all night long.
The wickedest bars, the wickedest night places.
I mean, places of drinking and carousing.
Where are they open them all?
In the night.
Some of them don't even get started now, they tell me to 10, 11 o'clock at night.
This is what the Bible is telling.
This is the party generation.
And God's saying, for they that sleep sleep in the night, but they that are be drunken are drunken in the night.
Verse 8, but let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
How are we going to survive in the last days?
We've got to love one another.
We have to.
It's not an alternative.
We have to have that helmet of the hope of our salvation.
That means the hope of heaven, the hope that Jesus is going to return.
That's what's going to keep you sane in the last days.
God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe with all my heart the wrath of God begins the minute the rapture takes place.
And I'll show it to you today.
Who died for us that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Here's another key: verse 11.
Wherefore, comfort yourselves together and edify one another.
Oh, people, we need to comfort one another, lift up one another, edify one another.
This is a key to the last days, even as also you do.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know.
That's not the sexually know that Mary was saying.
This is to know them, to know who's around you, to know who you're hanging out with.
There's going to be deceivers in the last days.
He said, and beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you.
Boy, I mean the devil is trying to send people among the church to tear us up, to divide us, to spy, to gossip, to tear, to destroy, to bring down.
You need to be careful who you bring into the inner sanctum of your life.
Do you know a lot of people never lose weight because they hang around with people who love to eat pizza and love to eat ice cream and love to eat cake and love to eat everything?
And I'm telling you, you're never ever going to lose weight if somebody keeps putting donuts in your face.
You know, if you're on a diet and somebody says, oh, here's, I just made this 29-layer chocolate cake.
You know?
I'm just, forgive me, I didn't mean to pick on anyone today.
Some of you are looking mean at me right now.
But if you have trouble with alcohol, don't go out with the old crowd that you drank with.
They're going to beat you down.
They're going to say, oh, come on, have a drink with us.
Oh, come on.
What's the matter with you?
You know, I used to tell young people, how come nobody ever, you know, chides you to eat green peas?
Oh, come on, eat peas, I dare you.
You know, you can know there's something wrong with it when you have to be pressured and the crowd is making you feel bad because you didn't eat it.
The only ones ever made me feel bad about not eating green peas was my mother.
I mean, you know.
So we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake and be at peace among yourselves.
This is a whole key to the last days, this portion of scripture, how to survive, what to do.
Verse 14.
And now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly.
Did you hear that?
That's why I'm not putting up with it.
If you want to divide this ministry, I'm going to seed faith you into somebody else's church.
I'm giving you away.
Then God will give me 10 good ones back.
See?
We ought to have the church of the cranky people or something.
You know, just let them all go and beat up each other.
Wouldn't that be a good idea?
They always want to come in and inflict upon the body of Christ.
We don't need that.
He says so.
Warn them that are unruly.
Comfort the feeble-minded.
Lori has a ministry to feeble-minded.
That's why she's married me, I guess.
I don't know.
But Lori loves the mentally challenged and the mentally hurting people.
And they love her.
I mean, the minute she got saved, she's sitting up front because that's where all the feeble-minded people at Phoenix first sit.
And they have just this wonderful group of people who are mentally challenged.
And Tommy Burnett just loves them.
I mean, just loves them.
And just has more fun with them.
And he'll send them all out for hot dogs or hamburgers after church sometimes.
And they just, it's just an awesome thing to see.
But that's a godly thing.
We shouldn't have to hide the feeble-minded people at home.
You know, anybody who doesn't fit the norm, we hide them at home.
The little people have to stay at home many times.
The people who don't fit the norm of society.
And that's wrong.
God says, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak.
Be patient towards all men.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man, but every follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.
Verse 16, I love these short little verses here.
He has rejoice evermore.
It takes a whole verse right there.
Rejoice evermore.
Boy, isn't that a tough one to do, huh?
Verse 17: pray without ceasing.
That means you can pray while you're working, pray while you're driving down the highway.
Pray, You don't have to be on your knees to pray.
Praying in the car works good, doesn't it, Lori?
Man, we sing and shout if we're by ourselves.
I mean, you know, when I'm all by myself, not with even Lori.
I don't sing when Lori, because I sing so bad, nobody could hear it but God, you know.
But God loves it.
God loves your voice.
Isn't he neat?
He's just a real daddy.
I mean, you know, your kids can't hardly do anything wrong because they're covered by the blood of Jesus.
Isn't that good?
Pray without ceasing.
In every, say every, and everything give thanks.
For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Wow, is that powerful?
I wish I could preach all this stuff, but I got to get back to Revelation.
But this is the key for the last days living.
This is what Paul tells us.
And verse 18 again: In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Verse 19, quench not the spirit.
R.T. Kendall taught us on this.
Boy, the next time he comes, Lord, we just got to have him do the Holy Spirit and the sensitive Holy Spirit and how we ought to treat God's Spirit to keep His presence in our midst.
Number 20, verse 20 of 1 Thessalonians 5: Despite, despise not prophesying.
There's too much despising and prophesying today.
Yes, we discern who's right and who's wrong, but we must encourage the office of prophet again.
We need the prophets.
21, verse 21, prove.
It means test all things.
Hold fast that which is good.
Oh, I want to preach a whole 30 minutes on that.
Let's go on.
22, abstain from all appearances of evil, and the very God of peace sanctify you holy.
And I pray, God, your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless under the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful is He that called you, who also will do it.
Brethren, pray for us.
Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read into all the holy brethren.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Amen.
So there is a very, very important scripture: how to conduct ourselves in preparation for the coming of the Lord.
Now, John has been given some strange instructions here in Revelation 11 to measure the temple.
The temple was destroyed A.D. 70 and has not been rebuilt since.
The temple, just as Jesus prophesied, was totally destroyed.
Not one block of the temple itself has been left standing on top of another.
And the reference is, I believe, here to what some call the tribulation temple, or some call it the Antichrist temple.
But it's the temple that is yet to be built.
And I believe this temple could literally be built in months.
One of my dear friends, Dr. David Lewis, has given me so much information over the years.
And much or most of all the essential ingredients for the temple, for the worship, is already put together.
It's in warehouses.
It's already there.
They've even found the red heifer that is needed for the cleansing.
And so I believe this is referring to this temple that the Antichrist is going to help the Jews build.
I believe the Antichrist is going to encourage the Jews to build the temple.
Let's go on.
Let's look at Daniel 9, 27.
He will confirm a covenant with many for one seven, which is seven years, and in the middle, which is three and a half years, of the seven, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on a wing of the temple, he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
I just read that from NIV.
The Antichrist is going to make a deal with the Jews, and he's going to get that temple rebuilt.
And that's going to take some deal making.
Look at it, 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 3.
Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day, what day?
The coming of the Lord shall not come except there become a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
I believe Jesus, the rapture does not take place until the Antichrist is on the scene.
It is what the Word of God teaches, and I'm sticking with the Bible.
Who opposes and exalts himself, verse 4, above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he is God sitting in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
That's the last three and a half years of the seven year we call the tribulation period.
The Antichrist, I believe, starts out, he is going to be Mr. Wonderful.
Dome Rock Inscription Concerns 00:04:26
And he's going to make arrangements.
I personally believe this, for the temple to be built on the Temple Mount alongside of the dome on the rock temple.
I believe they're going to sit side by side.
And I'll tell you more about it as we go along here.
So he's going to encourage the restoration of the sacrificial system of the Old Testament.
The Jews have been dying to build their temple.
The Jews have been living to build their temple.
The Jews have been living to reinstate the Old Testament worship and all of it.
And they have to do it only in one place, on that temple mount.
That's why the temple has not been rebuilt.
And how's it going to be?
So, remember now, now this is my teaching.
This is my belief.
And a lot of people believe this, but others don't.
But I believe for the first three and a half years, the Jews will prosper under the arrangement that the Antichrist is going to make.
The Jews will worship again as they did in the Old Testament, giving sacrifice, even the red heifer, which is already reported to have been found.
Many, many sources tell us that this perfect red heifer has been located.
And so everything is together for them to again build the temple.
Let's read again.
Revelation 11, 1 and 2.
And there was given me a reed like under a rod, and the angel stood saying, Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and them that worship therein.
But the court which is without the temple, leave out and measure it not, for it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city shall they tread underfoot 40 and two months, three and a half years.
Could it be that the new temple will be built next to the dome of the rock on the Temple Mount, and that's why they're not to measure the outer court because there's not room for the outer court?
That it's a Gentile court already, it's the Gentiles already have that part, but there's going to be room enough.
And some say the materials are already, I mean, marked, even all the instruments, the bowls, all of the worship items, all of everything needed are already made.
Craftsmen have built all of the devices, everything that's in the Old Testament.
I don't have time to go there, but all of these elements that were in the temple are all ready to go.
I just want you to think about this.
Dr. Asher Kaufman, who is the professor of physics at Hebrew University, says this.
This is somebody from the Hebrew University.
This is Professor Asher Kaufman.
He says he believes the actual location of Solomon's Temple and Herod's Temple, and I'm quoting from him, are 26 meters away from the dome of the rock.
Therefore, the new temple could be built without disturbing the dome of the rock.
And I don't think you understand, if we touch the dome of the rock, there will be a war, which you call a holy war, that there are millions and millions.
You talk about a last-day war.
All you've got to do is touch that dome of the rock, and they will come and die for the cause.
You talk about a holy war.
So there has to be some measure.
And that's why this sweet talking, this silver-tongued orator, the Antichrist, is going to bring an agreement somehow that something supernatural will happen.
And so I read some research on the dome of the rock.
And this is a building of Byzantine era.
It's just literally jewel-encrested building.
Many of you have seen it there in Jerusalem.
And one of the ornate inscriptions on the wall of the dome of the rock, and I quote, this is disturbing to me, but it just says, it says, God is one and not three, and that Jesus was an apostle of God and his word and not his son.
Two Witnesses and the Beast 00:15:14
You see, that's what the enemy has tried to declare Jesus as just a good man.
Jesus is the word.
Jesus is the Son of God.
He is the only begotten Son of God.
And there are three in the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
So you see, there's a conflict.
How many have been to Jerusalem?
Have you ever felt the conflict of the ages?
You can sense it there.
This is something that is supernatural.
So after the beast helps sets up this temple worship, he turns on the Jews and declares himself God.
And then there's three and a half years left of the tribulations.
So Revelation 11:3, the two witnesses, here they are.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses.
This also means martyr in the Greek.
Most believe that these two witnesses are Moses and Elijah.
I'm not saying that's who they are because the Bible doesn't say.
But most say it's Moses and Elijah.
Some things it might be eunuch because he didn't die.
He just went to be with God.
And it says, I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy 1,203 score days, another three and a half years, clothed in sackcloth.
Boy, these are going to be the two greatest evangelists probably that ever hit the world.
And they are in sackcloth, meaning they're in grief.
They're in mourning.
And look at Matthew 17:1.
And I'll tell you why I think it could be Moses.
And it could be Elijah.
Look at Matthew 17:1.
And six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
There he was transfigured before them.
Here's what happened.
Jesus.
His face shone like the sun.
There's that sun face again, remember?
It's very important.
And his clothes became white as the lights.
Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus.
Is that not an awesome thought?
I wrote, wow.
I mean, can you imagine these guys standing up there on this mountain?
And here shows up from the Old Testament Moses and Elijah having a conversation with Jesus.
I would have been transfigured by then, I think.
You know, just translated somewhere to heaven.
This is the reality of the gospel.
Look at the last words in the Old Testament, Malachi chapter 4, verse 5.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
I'm just giving you some scripture basis why I believe these two could be Moses and Elijah come back.
And he says, You'll turn the hearts of the fathers of the children and the hearts of the children of their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Remember, Elijah never died.
2 Kings 2:11.
As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
Well, the Bible says appointed man wants to die, so maybe God's going to just say, Well, I'm going to keep my word.
I'm sending these guys back, and they're going to die on earth.
I don't know.
I'm guessing.
I'm studying.
A lot of theologians believe this.
A lot of students believe this.
And I choose to believe it.
I just choose to think that this is possibly the answer to this.
And then it talks about the two olive trees and the two candlesticks.
Revelation 11:4.
These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
What does this mean?
Turn to Zachariah 4, chapter 4.
Zechariah chapter 4, verse 1 through 6.
I know I'm giving you so many scriptures.
If we were in a classroom, I would go much slower and make you.
all turn over there, but I'm hoping everybody gets the tapes and will listen to them and study with me.
And the angel, we're at Zachariah 4, 1.
And the angel that talked with me came again and waked me up as a man that is wakened out of the sleep.
And he said unto me, what seest thou?
And I said, I have looked and behold a candlestick all of gold with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereof, and seven pipes of the seven lamps which are upon the top thereof, and two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side thereof.
So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my Lord?
Then the angel that talked to me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be?
And I said, No, my Lord.
And he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, not by might, not by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
These two witnesses are going to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
They're going to be anointed.
This is a key.
That's why they can't be killed until God says time's over.
Back to Revelation 11, 5.
And if any man will hurt them or do wrong to them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies.
And if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
God's going to supernaturally do some things in this last hour.
This sounds like Elijah.
Look at it, 2 Kings 1.12, or I'll read it to you.
And Elijah answered and said unto them, If a man of God let fire come down from heaven and consume three and thy fifty, and the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
This is Elijah talking about fire coming down from heaven.
And the Bible says that literally those who try to hurt these men, because they could be killed easily, if they didn't have supernatural protection.
I don't even understand it.
I don't know how it's going to be.
I don't know if God's going to use even natural things, but it sounds supernatural to me because he said it's not by might, not by power, but by my spirit that these men.
Back to Revelation 11, 6.
These have power to shut heaven, or in the Greek, that's also sky.
So they have power to shut up the sky in the heavens that it rained not in the days of their prophecy.
1 King 1.17, 1, 1 Kings 17, 1 says, And Elijah, the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
Elijah stopped the rain for two and a half years in the Old Testament.
So here we got this happening again in the book of Revelation.
So, you know, I'm just comparing these guys back and forth to show you that they've had some training in doing this stuff.
Elijah and Moses, it fits the description anyhow of the ministries.
You see, God always uses you as what you know and what you have and what you learn.
And so that sort of helps me.
So, and it says, and so they have power to shut up the heaven so it will not, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy.
And they have power over water to turn them to blood.
You read that?
And I'm in Revelation 11, 6, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will.
Boy, that sounds like Moses, doesn't it?
Moses had his training in turning water into blood.
Exodus 7, 19, it says, Moses said unto Aaron, take thy rod and stretch out it upon the waters of Egypt.
And it goes down here and says, And the streams became blood, the rivers became blood, the ponds became blood, the pools of water became blood, even then the cups and the vessels became blood.
And so the plagues and turning water into blood was something that Moses had a gift to do, or at least a command from God to do.
So they're two witnesses when their work is done.
Let's go to Revelation 11:7.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, this is the Antichrist possessed by Satan, that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit, the abyss, the home of demons and Satan, shall make war against them and shall overcome that, kill, and kill them.
This is the first of 36 references in the book of Revelation about the beast, the beast of Revelation.
And we're going to read about him in Revelation 13, all about him.
We'll study this guy.
And I have some ideas about where he's coming from.
It's not like everybody else's, but we're going to study every word and find out what the Bible says.
In verse 8, it says, And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt.
Well, you know, if you didn't know the Bible, you wouldn't understand.
You stopped right there.
But it says, where our Lord was crucified.
Can you imagine?
God is calling Jerusalem Sodom and Egypt.
Where our Lord was crucified.
I mean, you could call the United States Sodom and Egypt today because of our rebellion against God.
God's saying, a rebellious city.
Verse 9.
And they of the people and kindreds, the races, and the tongues, the languages, and the nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half.
This is one place that I believe television does come into play.
I believe this is television.
I don't believe the coming of the Lord is on television.
I don't believe that's how every eye is going to see.
I believe every eye is physically going to see the glory of God when Jesus comes.
He's brighter than the sun, and he will shine around the world when he comes back.
But this, I believe, is television.
I believe they're going to report every minute of it.
CNN probably was built just for this moment.
I believe television and CNN and ABC and NBC will keep the cameras right there on their dead bodies.
They melt the news.
Did you ever know that?
So they're going to be there and they're not burying these guys because the Antichrist wants to make sure everybody knows they're dead.
And how do you desecrate a dead man?
Well, leave his body laying out there.
That's the only way you can desecrate him.
And so the people and the races and the tongues, this is the nations, all of the world, through CNN or TBN or whoever's going to be broadcasting.
They're dead bodies three days and a half and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in a grave.
Desecration.
The Antichrist wants everyone to see, I've won.
I'm God now.
Because that's what the devil wanted to be God.
You know that.
And so, and they that dwell upon the earth, verse 10, shall rejoice over them and make merry and shall send gifts one to another because these two prophets tormented them, convicted them.
Are you hearing me?
These people are under such conviction.
Doesn't conviction make you squirm?
How many remember before you were saved when you heard a sermon?
That boy, I was a young boy, and I wanted to run out of the church.
I had weak kidneys when I was a little boy because, boy, when they started giving those altar calls and I wasn't living for God, I'd go to the bathroom.
They still do it today in my sermons.
I still watch them.
And they that shall dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, make merry, send gifts.
This is like a counterfeit Christmas.
Devil always counterfeits everything.
She'll send gifts one to another because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Verse 11.
And after three days and a half of the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear came upon them, which saw them.
The merriment of the pagans does not last very long.
The merriment of sin ends in death and destruction.
And it's over.
The whole world has been watching.
The last chance, I believe, they hear the gospel of Jesus Christ has been going out.
Matthew 24, 14.
Listen to this.
This is the words of Jesus.
We know we keep winding Matthew 24 around Revelation because Jesus is giving us this total message.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.
And then shall the end come.
They're going to be preaching on television because the news is going to put these witnesses on the air.
And then they're going to see them resurrected.
Back to Revelation 11, 12.
Oh, and they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither.
And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud.
There's a cloud again.
And their enemies beheld them.
And the same hour was a great earthquake.
Remember Matthew 24, one of the signs of the coming of the Lord is earthquake.
And the tenth part of the city fell.
And the earthquake were slain amen 7,000.
And the remnant were affrighted.
Oh, that's a King James word for being afraid, fear.
The remnant were fearful, afraid, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
The final trumpets about the sound.
Revelation 11, 14, the second woe or grief is past.
Blessed Is He That Keepeth 00:09:28
And behold, the third woe, the third grief cometh quickly.
Hear what I said?
My sheep know my voice.
If you study the Bible, you will understand the voice of God.
You'll begin to know the voice of Jesus Christ.
You'll begin to know his phrases, how he talks, what he says.
There's key words.
Revelation 3, 11 says, Behold, I come quickly.
Revelation 22, 7 says, Behold, I come quickly.
Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Revelation 22, 12 says, And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me.
Revelation 22, 20.
He says, he which testified these things says, surely I come quickly.
Amen.
Even so come, Lord Jesus.
This is the last main statement in the book of Revelation.
I come quickly.
This last woe, it says, cometh, the third woe cometh quickly.
I'm not going to beat it to death, but it just rings out to me clue.
Here's a clue.
Here's a clue.
Revelation 1, 1.
Remember what we studied there?
Anybody here was with me with the first lesson?
Anybody all the way back there?
Anybody was with me?
Revelation 1.1?
Here's what it says.
And the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him to show unto his servant things which must shortly, and we studied that word shortly in the Greek, it meant quickly, once started, must quickly come to pass.
This is it.
Get back to Revelation 11:15.
Here we are.
The trumpet's about to sound.
Seven is the number of completion.
Did you know that?
Here's the seventh trumpet.
Revelation 11:15.
And the seventh angel sounded, trumpeted, sound a blast in the Greek.
And there were great voices in heaven saying, The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.
This is the final trumpet.
1 Thessalonians 4, 16.
What does it say?
I read it to you so many times.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1 Corinthians 15, 52, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and shall be changed.
There is no place in the Bible but the last trumpet that the rapture will take place.
And that's what I believe.
And you can believe whatever you want.
I'll still love you.
Matthew 24:30.
And there shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.
And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other.
Remember Revelation 10, 7, our lesson last time?
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, should be finished, will be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
This is it.
The voice of the seventh trumpet.
The gospel is over at this time.
Back to Revelation 11:16.
I want you to study this quickly with me.
I'm running out of time.
Here we go.
Revelation 11, 16.
And the four and 20 elders which sat before God on their seats.
They sat upon their seats.
This is where they usually are seen, sitting in chairs or thrones or however they're sitting.
Look at what happens.
I believe something so startling has just took place.
I believe when that seventh trumpet sounded, those elders are so excited.
The 24 elders, they're so excited and they are thrilled.
And they're saying, here's what happens.
Is this something big is about to happen?
They fall upon their face and worship God.
They get out of their seats.
They literally fall on their faces before God.
And here's what they say.
King James, watch out.
We give thanks.
Oh, is not in the Bible?
King James added, oh Lord.
It sounds nice.
We give thanks, Lord, God Almighty, which art.
Why don't we just say is?
That's what it means in the Greek.
God Almighty, which is and was, W-A-S-T, which means was, which is and was.
And then in the King James, it says, in art to come, that is not in the original text.
He has already come.
He has already fulfilled it by now.
This is wrong and art to come is not in the original text of the Bible.
Because thou hast and to thee is not in the Bible.
So here we should be reading, we give thanks, Lord God Almighty, which is and was because thou hast taken thy great power and hast is not in the Greek either.
And it should say, reigns, rules.
The king has just come.
The elders are falling on their face.
There's rejoicing in heaven.
It's over, folks.
This is the moment where the kingdoms of the earth have become the kingdoms of God.
Christ takes the kingdom as is his own right.
And I have written down.
How many have an NIV Bible?
The NIV is much clearer, isn't it?
See, the NIV straightened King James out.
The NIV says, we give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power.
That's what they're saying.
He has just taken his place.
He has taken his power.
The New Living Translation, some of you, anybody have the New Living Bible?
Here's what it says.
We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.
Is that good?
The New American Standard Bible, updated version, says, We give you thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because you have taken your great power and have began to reign.
The American Standard Version says, We give thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who was, because thou hast taken thy great power and does reign.
The New American Standard Bible says, We give thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who was, because thou hast taken thy power and has began to reign.
The Revised Standard Version says, We give thanks to thee, Lord God Almighty, who art and who was, and thou hast taken the great power and began to reign.
The living Bible, the old living Bible, here's what it says.
We give thanks, Lord God Almighty, who is and was, and for now you have assumed your great power and it began to reign.
King James is wrong.
Do you get it?
Very important.
They just added a couple words because it was the poetic thing from other scripture and they just threw it in there, but it was wrong.
It makes the whole thing wrong.
The power of the universe, the power of reigning, the power of ruling, he has become the king of kings and the Lord of lords.
He has taken his lordship at this time.
Let's go on.
And the nations were angry.
And thy wrath is come.
The wrath of God comes, I believe, with the rapture.
The wrath of God begins at this moment.
And the time of the dead that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants, the prophets, and to the saints, and to all them that fear thy name, small and great, and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
What happens here?
He said, the dead are there, and the saints, the servants, the small and the great, receive what?
Their reward.
Listen to Matthew 16, 27.
For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Temple Earth Restored 00:04:26
He's coming with a reward.
Revelation 22, 12, it says, Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me.
Are you hearing me?
To give every man according as his work shall be.
Back to Revelation 11, 19.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven.
And there was seen in the temple the ark of his testament.
And there was lightnings and voices and thunderings and an earthquake and great hail.
This chapter begins with the temple on earth being restored.
And this chapter ends with God's temple in heaven being opened.
So in this one chapter, we have the temple on earth being restored.
We have it being destroyed.
And the Antichrist taking over.
And then we have the rapture taking place.
And the temple in heaven, the ark of the covenant, is open in heaven.
Now John begins another flashback in chapter 12, next week.
John is 90 years old, and he is going to go back, and he's going to fill us in now on the details which you need to know that are going to happen in the last days before the rapture.
Actually, he starts this moment where we are right now picks up in Revelation chapter 14, 14.
I believe with all my heart.
I believe it goes from there.
And the next portions that we're going to be studying, John is going back like a teacher, and he's saying, now, here's the details.
I've given you the overview.
I've given you the exciting parts.
But he said, now I want you to know in detail what's going to happen.
And we're going to study those details.
Revelation 14, 14 is where this moves to go over there and just look at that as we close.
Revelation 14, 14.
And I looked, and behold, a white cloud.
And upon the cloud, one sat like unto the Son of Man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, thrust in thy sickle and reap, for the time is come for thee to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth and the earth was reaped.
Then Revelation 15, 5, and after that I looked and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.
One of the reasons we don't understand the book of Revelation, I believe, is what some scholars call these flashback rehearsing that John does.
John just brings us back to review.
He's a teacher.
He's an older man.
He wants to make sure we get it.
And a lot of it's written in code.
Some feel he because he had to get this message out from the prison so the guards would not confiscate it.
So it just looked like a bunch of ramblings from a wild man.
But anybody that knew the Old Testament knew the code.
It's all in the Bible.
That's where the code is.
So that is our lesson.
And it took me five years of prison to study what I just taught you in one hour.
So I want you to think upon it.
I want you to look upon it.
We're going to keep studying this Bible, this book of Revelation, every lesson, word by word.
