[00:00:00]  If he has no place, he can be easily defeated.
[00:00:06]  But it is hard to cast out what people are letting in.
[00:00:14]  It's hard to cast out what people are letting in.
[00:00:17]  Yes.
[00:00:18]  And this is why it's so difficult to deal with him because he deceives people to let him in.
[00:00:27]  Which makes it difficult to drive him out because the Bible declares he needs place.
[00:00:35]  That's right.
[00:00:36]  Ephesians 4, 26, 27, verse number 27 says, give no place to the devil.
[00:00:43]  Now, if the Bible is saying don't give him place, it means, number one, he has no place.
[00:00:48]  Right.
[00:00:49]  And then it means, though, number two, he can get place if he's given place.
[00:00:56]  That word, topos, is the Greek word for place.
[00:01:01]  It means two things.
[00:01:02]  Give the devil no opportunity.
[00:01:07]  And it also means give the devil no access to territory that has been previously marked off.
[00:01:17]  Our lives have been marked off from us.
[00:01:20]  Amen.
[00:01:20]  Amen.
[00:01:21]  So our assignment is not to defeat him.
[00:01:25]  He's already been defeated.
[00:01:27]  Our assignment is not to give him place.
[00:01:31]  Because if we don't give him place to operate in our lives, then all we have to do is exercise our authority in Jesus' name.
[00:01:40]  And the Bible says, if you resist him, he will flee from you.
[00:01:46]  So the key is, James 4, 7, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee.
[00:01:55]  Why?
[00:01:56]  Because as long as you stay up under the authority of Christ, he has to run from you because he's running from who you're under.
[00:02:06]  He's running from the authority of Jesus.
[00:02:10]  And so what he tries to do is circumvent ways to where he can escape God's authority, and that's by using people.
[00:02:21]  And so I make the statement that Satan hides from the authority of Christ behind human wills.
[00:02:32]  Boy, that's good.
[00:02:34]  Meaning if someone allows him in, follows his instructions, sets their will against God, that's how Satan hides from protection.
[00:02:49]  Because I can't drive him out if you want him in.
[00:02:53]  And that's what he's done in America.
[00:02:55]  He has so deceived certain segments of this nation where they are welcoming him in.
[00:03:04]  That's right.
[00:03:05]  And where he now has place to be, he's hard to displace.
[00:03:10]  Yes.
[00:03:12]  And it's getting harder.
[00:03:13]  And it is getting harder.
[00:03:15]  And that's the battle we're in because we're in, if you don't mind, can I share one thing?
[00:03:21]  This is Matthew 12 is where the real spirit of this book comes from because Matthew 12 talks about when an unclean spirit has gone out of a man and walketh through dry places seeking rest and findeth none.

[00:03:39]  It says, I will return back to the house from where I came out of.
[00:03:45]  When he comes, he finds the house empty, swept, and put in order, but it's not occupied.
[00:03:53]  Then he goeth, taketh seven other spirits, more wicked than himself.
[00:03:58]  They enter in and the last state is worse than the first.
[00:04:03]  And then this is where it got me.
