Jim Bakker Show - Stay Grounded When Prepping | Darren Parker Aired: 2023-05-12 Duration: 04:13 === Three Days Of Water (04:13) === [00:00:00] We are in a very, very different. [00:00:02] This is where knowledge has been increased, as the Bible says. [00:00:06] We're in the last day. [00:00:08] And I've tried to tell you these last few days about some of the things that are happening that you've never seen before. [00:00:15] We've never heard about them hardly before. [00:00:17] And this tells us that Jesus is coming soon. [00:00:22] And we're in the perilous times the Bible talks about. [00:00:26] And we believe that the church, when they're warned, the Bible says a wise man, you know, prepares when he sees a warning and does things to prepare. [00:00:41] But a fool doesn't prepare. [00:00:44] Let's go again. [00:00:46] Darren Parker is here with us, our head of security. [00:00:51] Give us the next one thing that is important to be prepared. [00:00:58] You told us you started out. [00:00:59] Yeah, so I gave you the list. [00:01:03] Air, of course, you got to be able to breathe air. [00:01:05] Shelter, you have to have shelter. [00:01:07] So let's talk about water. [00:01:09] So when you go to prep, you want to make sure you have the amount of water you're going to need to be able to survive. [00:01:16] Now, you want to think about what is your goal? [00:01:19] What's your objective? [00:01:20] How far out do you want to go? [00:01:21] Now, when the government says you need to prepare for three days, I start thinking about three weeks. [00:01:26] Because if they're saying three days, you're going to need three weeks. [00:01:29] So whatever you come to, though, you have to make that decision. [00:01:32] If we have an EMP, it's always going to be longer than that. [00:01:35] You're sure. [00:01:36] Three years. [00:01:36] Yeah. [00:01:37] But when it comes to getting yourself ready, it can be overwhelming if you start thinking like that. [00:01:42] You want to get there eventually. [00:01:44] But you want to, again, you want to stay grounded in reality. [00:01:48] So work on getting enough preps to get you through three days. [00:01:52] So water, how much water do you need? [00:01:55] So for each person, you need a gallon of water at a minimum, a gallon of water a day to make it. [00:02:00] So if you have two people in your household, you're going to need two gallons a day. [00:02:04] So if you're prepping for three days. [00:02:05] Okay, what about your toilet? [00:02:07] Your toilet won't flush without water. [00:02:11] So I've read that the waste will kill people as much as anything. [00:02:18] Yes, because you have to deal with that eventually. [00:02:20] You're going to have to deal with that. [00:02:20] You don't want to piling up because then now you've got all kinds of diseases and things. [00:02:25] So here's what you so this is what you need to look at then. [00:02:29] Do you have a renewable water source available to you? [00:02:32] And when I say renewable water, do you have a creek running by the house, a river, a lake, a pond, a swimming pool? [00:02:39] Anything like that? [00:02:40] Do you have a way to get to water? [00:02:43] Now, if you live in the city and you're on the sewer system, the city sewer, it's going to get bad because if it's an EMP, there's no power. [00:02:52] I'm worried about the city like New York. [00:02:55] What if you live on the 25th floor of a high-rise? [00:03:00] What are you going to do? [00:03:01] You don't have a hand pump. [00:03:04] You won't live very long. [00:03:05] You're in big trouble. [00:03:05] No, you better have plans to get out of that place. [00:03:07] Yeah. [00:03:08] Get out of die. [00:03:09] Yes. [00:03:09] If you're in a big city, you want plans to get out of there. [00:03:12] Yes. [00:03:13] Because that's going to be bad quick. [00:03:14] How long can you live without water? [00:03:16] Three days. [00:03:18] Three days. [00:03:19] So you want to make sure you have. [00:03:22] Okay, so this is what I tell people too. [00:03:24] You want to live as close to normal as you possibly can. [00:03:27] So when you're getting your preps together, because there is a learning curve. [00:03:32] If you're in a survival situation, a critical incident, there is a learning curve that you go through. [00:03:37] The more stress that's placed on you, the sharper that curve is. [00:03:41] So you prepare yourself. [00:03:42] So let's say you get three days. [00:03:44] I have three gallons of water per person. [00:03:46] So if something happens, I have three days now to figure out how I'm going to collect, store, filter, and purify water from a renewable water source. [00:03:58] All right. [00:03:58] It gives me three days to figure that out. [00:04:02] But you have to have a renewable water source. [00:04:03] Now, you go back to the toilet situation. [00:04:06] If you're on city water and the power is out, that's going to get bad quick. [00:04:10] So now you're going to have to figure out a way to dispose of your waste.
