[00:00:01]  What's the difference between revival and awakening?
[00:00:06]  They're totally different.
[00:00:07]  They're totally different.
[00:00:09]  And there are many definitions for both of them.
[00:00:11]  The easiest way to recognize the difference is that a revival can be and usually is begun in an individual heart.
[00:00:27]  Glory, you can have revival.
[00:00:29]  You can live in perpetual revival.
[00:00:32]  I can have revival.
[00:00:33]  My family can have revival.
[00:00:36]  My local church can have revival.
[00:00:39]  Right?
[00:00:40]  Awakening is much broader.
[00:00:44]  Awakening comes when God Almighty sovereignly decides as a result of prayer to visit with his presence outside the church, in the store.
[00:01:05]  People get born again without anyone witnessing to them.
[00:01:09]  They receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
[00:01:12]  They get out of their automobiles, or in many cases, off their wagons back in the day, and fall out under the power of God and wake up repentant.
[00:01:22]  That is a divine visitation of the Spirit of God in response to prayer.
[00:01:29]  Revival comes if my people call by my name, my people, my people, call by my name.
[00:01:40]  That's now.
[00:01:41]  We need now.
[00:01:42]  We need that now.
[00:01:43]  Yes.
[00:01:44]  If my people call by my name, first prerequisite to revival, humility.

[00:01:54]  Not, what is humility?
[00:01:56]  Not thinking you know it all.
[00:01:58]  That's right.
[00:01:58]  That's right.
[00:01:59]  So what develops, Jim, what you talked about, a hunger for this book.
[00:02:04]  Yes.
[00:02:05]  It's your meat.
[00:02:07]  It's your bread.
[00:02:08]  It's your sustenance.
[00:02:11]  It's your water.
[00:02:13]  It's your life.
[00:02:14]  You don't have to try to read the Bible.
[00:02:16]  You have to try to stop reading the Bible.
[00:02:18]  That's right.
[00:02:19]  Right?
[00:02:20]  So there's that incessant passion, that hunger born of the humility of, I don't know it all.
[00:02:29]  I don't have it all.
[00:02:31]  I need more.
[00:02:34]  Your Bible says that the earth crying out for water is never satisfied.
[00:02:42]  The empty womb desiring to conceive is never satisfied.
[00:02:50]  A fire consuming fuel is never satisfied.
[00:02:57]  We must develop a heart that is never satisfied.
[00:03:02]  A humble heart that says, teach me, Lord.
[00:03:06]  Make me become what you want me to become.
[00:03:09]  Give me the want to, to want to.
[00:03:12]  Humble themselves and then pray and then repent.
[00:03:16]  Turn from their wicked ways.
[00:03:19]  Seek my face.
[00:03:21]  Then I will hear from heaven.
[00:03:24]  First, I will forgive their sin.
