Jim Bakker Show - We Are Saved from the Wrath of God that is Coming | Duane Sheriff Aired: 2023-01-24 Duration: 02:56 === Love And Hate Speech (02:56) === [00:00:00] In your book, you said that to justify sin through our silence, it's a form of hate speech. [00:00:13] Yeah, really hate speech. [00:00:15] Can you explain that? [00:00:16] Yeah, we don't have time to massage it like it probably needs to be, but love, and again, the church has lost an understanding of love because of all this vain deceit. [00:00:27] Love is defined in 1 Corinthians 13, verses 4 through 8. [00:00:31] It's 16 character traits. [00:00:34] And in verse 6, it says, love does not rejoice in iniquity. [00:00:38] Yes, sir. [00:00:39] But it rejoices in the truth. [00:00:41] So as the Lord begins to awaken us, we are going to get a fresh revelation of God's kind of love, what it looks like, what it sounds like, how it acts. [00:00:53] And one of the things and attributes of God's kind of love is it protects. [00:00:58] It warns. [00:00:59] Jesus was God, who is love. [00:01:02] God is love. [00:01:03] Jesus was God or love made flesh. [00:01:05] And while he didn't condemn anybody, he didn't punish anybody. [00:01:08] He didn't call wrath down or curses or punishment on people even for sin. [00:01:13] He knew he would bear the curse of the law at the cross and God's punishment for all our sin. [00:01:19] He didn't condone sin and he warned people. [00:01:22] He warned entire cities that there is a wrath coming that you don't have to be a party to and partake of, that God came to save us from. [00:01:33] I love you being an evangelist, my dear brother, but I'm telling you, most people don't even know what they're saved from. [00:01:40] We are saved, yes, from our sins, yes, from the devil. [00:01:43] We are saved from the wrath of God that's coming. [00:01:46] And once that message is clear, people are going to turn. [00:01:50] So what I mean by that is love warns people, not condemns them, not is self-righteous or condescending, but it says, hey, if we crossed a cool bridge coming into here, we have a bridge where I live called Rooster Creek Bridge, a one-lane bridge. [00:02:09] And this is like a Rooster Creek bridge in two lanes. [00:02:12] It's just cool. [00:02:13] What if that bridge, what if I crossed that bridge and the thing collapsed? [00:02:17] Wouldn't I pull over? [00:02:19] And wouldn't I jump out of my car? [00:02:21] And wouldn't I be waving my arms at people coming that way saying, stop, you're on the wrong path. [00:02:27] This is destructive. [00:02:29] You're going to die. [00:02:31] Love would speak up. [00:02:33] Love would speak out. [00:02:35] Love would act. [00:02:36] You know what hate does? [00:02:37] Hate says, I ain't saying nothing. [00:02:40] I don't care if those people die. [00:02:42] In some cases, I want some of them to die because there really is hate in my heart for them. [00:02:48] And they're mean and they don't love God and they deserve what they're going to get. [00:02:51] That's hate. [00:02:52] Hate would be silent and watch people die.
