Jim Bakker Show - Enduring Tribulation | Derek & Sharon Gilbert on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2022-06-24 Duration: 03:05 === Birth Pangs of Tribulation (03:05) === [00:00:00] I'm shocked how many people differ between when the tribulation takes place, pre-trib, you know, mid-trib, what trib. [00:00:09] But people just fight over it. [00:00:13] I'm not going to fight over it. [00:00:15] No. [00:00:15] So if you're disagreeing with me because I believe we're going through some tribulation, and I'm not saying we're going through all of it, but I know we're going through some tribulation because we're in it right now. [00:00:26] Jesus warned explicitly. [00:00:27] He basically said his followers would endure tribulation. [00:00:30] So regardless of when the great tribulation takes place, we know that we're going to, and I think a lot of this is kind of an American view anyway. [00:00:38] When you ask Christians in China whether or not they're being tribulated. [00:00:42] There you go. [00:00:42] You know, ask Christians in the Middle East if they're being tribulated. [00:00:45] In the battlefield. [00:00:46] Or in the Sudan. [00:00:47] Or in the Sudan. [00:00:49] So, yes, we believe that when you look at Revelation chapters 4 through 6, and John arrives in heaven, and they're calling out for someone who can open the seals on the scroll. [00:01:02] And no one is found worthy on heaven or in heaven, on the earth, or under the earth, which is interesting. [00:01:08] And then suddenly the lamb who was slain appears between the guardians, the four living creatures, the cherubim, and the throne. [00:01:16] So, okay, that's Jesus. [00:01:17] He's in heaven. [00:01:18] Well, we know from the book of Acts, when Stephen is stoned, he sees one like the Son of Man at the right hand of the Father. [00:01:25] The Apostle Paul writing to the church at Ephesus. [00:01:27] He's already at the right hand of the Father. [00:01:30] So John, as in Revelation 12, when he sees the woman clothed in the sun, is getting a view of history, because that's Revelation 12, the birth of Christ. [00:01:39] He's seeing when the Lamb appears in heaven, which was when he's caught up in heaven after the resurrection. [00:01:45] Those writers were released in the first century. [00:01:49] That's what we believe. [00:01:50] And that makes sense. [00:01:52] I think we're waiting for the next event, which would be the sixth seal. [00:01:56] You've got the fifth seal, which are the souls under the altar crying out, how long, O Lord? [00:02:02] Which, you know, watching the news these days, you can understand why they're crying out, how long, O Lord. [00:02:06] That's the truth. [00:02:08] But they're on a leash. [00:02:10] These four riders are given some latitude, but they don't have free reign at this point. [00:02:16] But a day is coming when the restrainer will be removed, and then it'll be literal hell on earth. [00:02:22] That is so true. [00:02:23] Well, you said that you and I do believe that those writers began their ride in the first century. [00:02:30] And the first century certainly had its share of persecution and plagues and warfare, all the things that we see in the writers. [00:02:40] Well, Jesus called these birth pangs. [00:02:43] And any woman who has experienced birth pangs understands that they start out, oh, and then they get worse and closer together. [00:02:52] And that's exactly what we see over the last 2,000 years. [00:02:56] It's like there's this waveform of the writers, but as we're approaching the return of Christ, it is really getting bad.
