Jim Bakker Show - What is the Importance of the 7th Year - Mark Biltz Aired: 2021-05-31 Duration: 03:38 === Shemitah Cycle: Year of Liberty (03:11) === [00:00:00] Mark, what does the Bible tell us about the importance of the seventh year? [00:00:05] Well, that seventh year is what is known as the Shemitah cycle. [00:00:10] But I believe the seventh year is a time of testing to get you ready for the next seven years. [00:00:17] In the book of Jeremiah, they had not kept the Shemitah cycle for 490 years. [00:00:24] The land was supposed to rest every seven years. [00:00:29] For 70 times, the land never got to rest. [00:00:32] That's why they were in Babylon for 70 years. [00:00:36] So the land could rest that it didn't get the 490 years past. [00:00:41] Well, guess what? [00:00:43] They could have avoided this. [00:00:45] At the Shemitah year, right before the temple was destroyed, they had finally let everyone free. [00:00:52] They released everyone from their burdens, their slavery, their indebtedness. [00:00:58] But then what happened? [00:00:59] This is what is mind-blowing. [00:01:01] Nebuchadnezzar is besieging Jerusalem. [00:01:05] Well, Egypt comes to help Israel. [00:01:09] So Babylon leaves, and Israel gave all the credit to Babylon leaving to Egypt and not to God. [00:01:17] And they turned around and put everyone back into captivity in that Shemitah year. [00:01:22] So God says, okay, I will proclaim liberty. [00:01:26] Now, this is significant. [00:01:28] He's saying, I will proclaim liberty. [00:01:30] But this time it's liberty to the sword and to death. [00:01:34] And all that took place the first year of the next Shemitah cycle is when the temple was destroyed. [00:01:41] It's all about proclaiming liberty. [00:01:44] Now, let me bring this up. [00:01:46] We know that it is always in the Shemitah cycle when liberty is proclaimed. [00:01:53] But I want to talk for a minute about the year of Jubilee. [00:01:57] This is so important. [00:02:00] The Lord in Isaiah, he's quoting Isaiah where he's proclaiming liberty to the captives when he began his ministry. [00:02:09] Now, I believe that more than likely was a Shemitah cycle, not necessarily the year of Jubilee, but it says in Leviticus 25, you can only proclaim the year of Jubilee on Yom Kippur. [00:02:26] Very significant. [00:02:27] If you would go to the next slide, and you're back to that slide, and I'm going to blow you away. [00:02:34] I want you to notice that, like I said, those lunar, solar, lunar eclipses was a one-week warning before the next seven-year cycle begins. [00:02:48] In, look at this, 2022, 2023. [00:02:52] That's next year. [00:02:53] Do you know the same four blood moons appeared in 1966, 1967 before the next Shemitah cycle began, which was 1973? === Year of Jubilee Mystery (00:42) === [00:03:05] Now, again, listen to this. [00:03:07] You can only proclaim the year of Jubilee on Yom Kippur. [00:03:12] Well, what do we know about 73? [00:03:14] That was the Yom Kippur War. [00:03:16] I believe that was the year of Jubilee. [00:03:19] And if you go 50 years, it takes you exactly to 2022, 2023, because the year of Jubilee isn't a separate year. [00:03:29] The year of Jubilee is just the first year of the next seven-year cycle. [00:03:34] All they have is seven-year cycles. [00:03:36] They don't have extra years thrown in.
