Jim Bakker Show - Standing For Life - Alveda King Aired: 2021-04-23 Duration: 02:10 === How Nick Got Involved (02:09) === [00:00:00] How did you become involved with this film? [00:00:03] Well, Jim, many people don't know. [00:00:05] I've been in the film and entertainment and media industry for over 40 years. [00:00:10] I'm a member of Screen Actors Guild, for example, appeared in a lot of movies and stage, very well trained in that area. [00:00:16] Today, I'm a Fox News, you know, contributor and some other things. [00:00:21] And so, over at my work with Civil Rights for the Unborn with Priest for Life, I am on a show called Pro-Life Praise right there. [00:00:30] So, Nick and Kathy, Nick Loeb and Kathy Allen, who were really the creators of this film, is Nick's brainchild, Nick Loeb. [00:00:38] And he also portrays Dr. Nathanson in the film, who was the top abortion doctor who had an epiphany, a revelation of God, and changed his heart from aborting to fighting for life. [00:00:52] So, they reached out to me several years ago now and said, Come on with the project, be an executive producer. [00:00:58] Also, I had a chance for a role in the film as the mother of Dr. Mildred Faye Jefferson, the first African-American woman to graduate from Harvard School of Medicine and the second president of National Right to Life. [00:01:14] And so, I portray her, her mother in the film, and Stacey Dash did a good job of researching Dr. Jefferson. [00:01:22] John Voigt is in the movie, Robert Divey. [00:01:25] So, powerful movie. [00:01:26] Mike Lindell is in it, actually. [00:01:28] So, the challenges we had, the people who still support abortion in America did not want the truth about abortion to come to the screen. [00:01:38] And I thought I was pretty well versed in what happened and how Roe v. Wade on my birthday in 1973, January 22nd, 1973, became law. [00:01:49] But do you know that two of those justices had family members that were working and affiliated or volunteering or doing something with Planned Parenthood? [00:01:58] That was a conflict of interest. [00:02:00] That comes out in the film. [00:02:03] And so, there was so much that America and the world needed to know about how that movie became law.
