Jim Bakker Show - A Prophetic Manifesto for this Decade - Patricia King Aired: 2021-02-15 Duration: 03:56 === A New Era Dawns (03:56) === [00:00:00] I wanted to ask you about this new book. [00:00:03] And this is a book that everybody here is reading, The Prophetic Manifesto for the New Era. [00:00:11] And it's 20 prophetic words for the 2020s. [00:00:16] What prompted you to write this new book? [00:00:20] Well, back in 2019, especially in the beginning of the year, we started to get a real prophetic sense that what we were coming into was not just a new year, not just a new decade, but an actual new era. [00:00:36] And so the prophetic is so powerful because if you can discern the times and what God's purpose is in that time, then you can align yourself with his purpose and just flow in the blessing of that. [00:00:51] And we've always seen that as we seek the Lord every year for his heart, what are you wanting to do this year? [00:00:58] What is your desire that we can partner with you to fulfill? [00:01:02] That when he reveals that to us and we give him our big yes and amen, that we've been blessed year after year after year, just flowing with God and flowing in his purposes. [00:01:11] But in 2019, it was different. [00:01:13] It wasn't just a new year. [00:01:15] And I realized that from 1950 through to 2020, that there was a 70-year period of grace and glory. [00:01:25] And just so much happened. [00:01:27] I mean, we have the Jesus People movement, the Charismatic Renewal, the Big Ten Evangelists, and the healing revivals in the 1950s, 60s, 70s. [00:01:37] We have the teaching anointing coming forth into the body. [00:01:43] We have the prophetic movement. [00:01:45] People were being taught on the gifts of the Spirit. [00:01:47] The prophets were emerging. [00:01:48] And then we went into the teaching on the apostolic and the emergence of apostles. [00:01:53] I mean, so much happened in that 70 years. [00:01:56] But I felt the Lord say that the next era, the next season was going to be very different. [00:02:03] And where grace and glory might have defined that 70 years, what we were coming into was a time where there would be challenges and even the tone of God's voice would change. [00:02:15] I liken it to when we were raising our boys. [00:02:19] You know, there's a different tone in your voice than when you're playing with them and enjoying family time with them and a time when you're being maybe more stern to bring them into a discipline or bring them into growth and correction. [00:02:33] And so I felt the Lord say, the tone of my voice is going to change. [00:02:37] It's going to be a lot more sober. [00:02:39] And you're going to have to learn to live differently in a time of war than you did in a time of peace. [00:02:46] And I came to realize that this next era was going to be defined by some challenges, but those challenges were going to bring us into greater glory, per se, in that when you read the Bible, you see that there was very little written about times of peace. [00:03:03] Like if you read through Judges or kings, they'll say, well, so-and-so was a king or so-and-so was a judge and there was peace in the land for 13 years or 20 years, period. [00:03:12] That was it. [00:03:12] But in times of turmoil, in times of challenge, in times of persecution, in times of real weighty seasons, that's when the books of the Bible were written and the Bible characters were highlighted, such as Noah and Moses and Elijah and Daniel and Jeremiah and John the Baptist, Jesus, the early church. [00:03:33] All those stories that we read about, the magnificent stories in the Bible were written during times of challenge. [00:03:40] And I felt the Holy Spirit say, get my people ready. [00:03:43] Get my people ready for this next era, because it is going to be an absolutely glorious era. [00:03:49] And in the midst of challenge, you are going to see me rise up in a glory such as has never been seen.
