[00:00:01]  What do wrong revelations open us up to?
[00:00:05]  Well, they open you to error.
[00:00:08]  In fact, we are told in 1 Timothy 4 and verse 1 that wrong revelations come from seducing spirits.
[00:00:14]  They're seducing.
[00:00:16]  They lead you away.
[00:00:17]  And in fact, you know what that word seducing means?
[00:00:19]  It's the Greek word plenao.
[00:00:22]  The word plenal describes one that begins to wander from his path.
[00:00:28]  He was once walking on a well-worn, well-trodden path.
[00:00:33]  In fact, he had walked on that path for so long you could nearly blindfold him and he could walk on that path.
[00:00:39]  He was so established, but the word seducing means something now has led him off the path.
[00:00:46]  And now he's teetering on the edge of a very dangerous cliff.
[00:00:51]  And it was the same Greek word, the Greek word plenao, to describe an animal that lost its way.
[00:00:58]  It wandered so far off track, it could never find its way back home.
[00:01:04]  And that is what a false revelation or bad teaching will do.
[00:01:09]  It will lead you away from the well-worn path of the word of God and will put you on a cliff where dangerous things happen.
[00:01:17]  And unfortunately, the people that are led off path, usually they're very sincere.
[00:01:22]  You know, you have to be very sincere to believe some crazy stuff.
[00:01:25]  They're very sincere people.
[00:01:27]  Don't question their sincerity.
[00:01:29]  But you can be sincere and be misled.
[00:01:32]  And we have to make sure our sincerity is connected to the common sense of the Bible.
[00:01:37]  The Bible is the anchor.
[00:01:41]  Should we seek dreams and visions?
[00:01:44]  Is that a godly thing to do?
[00:01:47]  Well, the Holy Spirit prophesied that in the end of the age, young men would have visions, old men would have dreams.
[00:01:54]  So we need to expect divine visitations.
[00:01:57]  Absolutely.
[00:01:58]  But wherever God is doing something, the devil also tries to get involved.
[00:02:03]  You know, in the last program, Mondo asked a real important question.
[00:02:07]  He said, what are some of the forbidden ways to receive revelation?
[00:02:11]  It's an important question.
[00:02:13]  And there are things that we all know are wrong.
[00:02:16]  For example, in the Old Testament, we're told that we are not to practice sorcery.
[00:02:21]  We're not to practice divination.
[00:02:24]  We're not to practice tarot cards or looking into crystal balls.
[00:02:29]  You know, my grandmother, Gertrude, she was such a precious woman, but she didn't know the Bible.
[00:02:34]  She wanted to know the will of God for her life.
[00:02:36]  And when she was a young woman, she used to go to a woman that had a crystal ball.
[00:02:40]  She would say, Miss Wilson, please tell me the will of God for my life.
[00:02:43]  My grandmother was very sincere, but she was sincerely wrong.
[00:02:48]  That was wrong.
[00:02:50]  And we have to make sure that we're listening to people that stick with scripture.
[00:02:55]  If it's not from the Bible, you need to be careful.
[00:03:01]  You need to be careful because it could be the activity of seducing spirits.
[00:03:06]  That doesn't mean you can't listen to prophecy.
[00:03:08]  You should.
[00:03:08]  This channel is for the voice of the prophets.
[00:03:11]  We need to hear what the prophets have to say.
[00:03:13]  But if you listen to a prophet that never uses the Bible, beware.
