Jim Bakker Show - The Withered - Rabbi Jonathan Cahn Aired: 2020-08-24 Duration: 05:26 === Signs of Withering (05:03) === [00:00:00] In the harbinger, too, you speak about the withered. [00:00:03] What is that about? [00:00:06] Yeah, one of the signs of judgment in the Bible is that of withering. [00:00:12] You know, God speaks again and again. [00:00:14] He speaks of, he says they shall be cut down. [00:00:17] They shall become like a withered wither as a green herb. [00:00:20] It speaks about the Lord in Isaiah says, You will be like a tree whose leaves wither away. [00:00:27] It talks about the nation. [00:00:28] Jeremiah talks about the nation being judged. [00:00:31] A sign of judgment is that they will be, their leaf will wither. [00:00:36] They will wither. [00:00:36] I mean, Messiah, he spoke to the tree, to the fig tree, and it withered, you know, and people take that as a sign of national judgment. [00:00:44] Well, it is a sign of national judgment. [00:00:47] Okay, now, now, remember, we're going to go, what happened to the harbingers? [00:00:52] One of them, because there are new harbingers, but what happened to the harbinger that already appeared? [00:01:00] We have the tower, okay, but we also have the Erez tree. [00:01:04] It says they planted that tree where the sycamore had fallen. [00:01:08] Isaiah 9:10, the people in Defiance say that the sycamore is struck down on the day of destruction. [00:01:14] We will plant the Erez tree, its cedar or Erez tree in its place. [00:01:17] Well, New York did it. [00:01:19] They had no idea why they did it, though. [00:01:22] They actually planted that the sycamore was struck down in 9/11 at the corner, and they planted this Erez tree. [00:01:28] They called it the tree of hope, and it was a sign. [00:01:31] In the Bible, it's a sign of defiance. [00:01:33] Again, we're coming back stronger. [00:01:35] Nothing's going to stop this because the sycamore is a weak tree, but the Erez tree is the strong tree. [00:01:39] Even the Hebrew even means strength. [00:01:42] So here it is. [00:01:43] They plant that and they call it the tree of hope. [00:01:45] It's representing America. [00:01:47] It's representing us strong coming back. [00:01:50] It's representing the vow. [00:01:52] Well, what happened to that tree? [00:01:55] The tree of hope, the Erez tree, was planted at the corner of ground zero, but then something happened. [00:02:03] A transformation took place, a biblical metamorphosis, which actually became a sign in itself. [00:02:11] The ancient sign of national judgment was manifested at ground zero. [00:02:16] The Erez tree, symbol of America, began to wither away, began withering. [00:02:25] The leaves started turning brown. [00:02:28] It started drying up. [00:02:29] The keepers of the ground, I witnessed this. [00:02:32] The keepers of the ground did everything. [00:02:35] They put in new soil. [00:02:36] They did everything because this was the symbolic tree. [00:02:39] They had this whole ceremony about this tree and it kept withering away. [00:02:44] It got sickly looking. [00:02:46] Every year, it got more and more as sick. [00:02:50] And they actually planted like eight shrubs. [00:02:55] I can get you a picture alongside of it. [00:02:58] The four shrubs that were away from it were prosperous, green. [00:03:02] The four shrubs that were near it were withering away with the tree. [00:03:06] It was like it was cursed. [00:03:08] This is the same imagery used in the Bible when it said, listen to this verse. [00:03:13] It was planted in good soil by many waters to bring forth branches, bear fruit, and all of its springs, leaves will wither. [00:03:21] Behold, it is planted. [00:03:23] Will it thrive? [00:03:24] Will it not utterly wither away? [00:03:26] It will wither in the garden terrace where it grew. [00:03:29] It was planted. [00:03:32] Guys, remember, this is the seventh harbinger. [00:03:34] It was planted where all these other trees prospered, where the sycamores had prospered. [00:03:39] And yet, no matter what, representing America, it withered away. [00:03:44] So here is the withering away of a harbinger, the withering away of a sign, which is a sign of withering away. [00:03:51] It was supposed to be that America's coming back stronger without God, and yet the tree stood for America was withering away. [00:03:58] So what is it saying? [00:04:00] What does it represent? [00:04:01] What is the message, a biblical message here? [00:04:04] Here is a harbinger on top of the harbinger. [00:04:07] It's the withering away of the Erez tree. [00:04:10] The withering away of the tree of hope represents the withering of America. [00:04:16] Here it is, still on the outside. [00:04:18] It exists, but morally, it is withering away. [00:04:22] Spiritually, it is withering away. [00:04:24] It's a nation that's withering from its very core, the inside, is withering away. [00:04:31] And if it keeps doing that, and in another part, we'll get back to what actually something else happened to this tree. [00:04:36] I'll tell you as we go forward. [00:04:38] But the thing is, it's saying that it's not going to be able to stand. [00:04:42] What's happening is the withering is happening from inside. [00:04:44] So eventually that tree is not going to be able to make it if it doesn't get healed. === Ultimate Spiritual Cure (00:37) === [00:04:49] And so what it's saying is that America has a spiritual disease. [00:04:54] And you cannot cure a spiritual disease with a political cure or physical cure. [00:05:01] You know, God uses politics. [00:05:02] We got to pray for that. [00:05:03] We got to be part of that. [00:05:04] But the ultimate issue is spiritual. [00:05:08] And only a spiritual answer can heal a spiritual disease. [00:05:13] Look at it right now. [00:05:14] Look, I mean, look at America itself has a disease on it. [00:05:17] You know, a literal disease is upon America. [00:05:20] But the ultimate disease is spiritual and the ultimate cure is spiritual. [00:05:25] And the only one who can cure it is Jesus.
