Jim Bakker Show - Important Issues for the 2020 Election - Dr. Ralph Reed Aired: 2020-08-10 Duration: 02:25 === Pandemic's Impact on Jobs and Travel (02:25) === [00:00:00] Dr. Rafreed, I'd like to ask you this question. [00:00:03] What are the key issues in the 2020 election? [00:00:08] Well, I think certainly right now, COVID-19 is at the top of people's concerns. [00:00:16] I think the president deserves an enormous amount of credit, first of all, for banning travel from China in January. [00:00:26] Probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives by doing that. [00:00:30] We know that the virus emerged from the Wuhan province in China. [00:00:37] He later banned travel from Europe because they had allowed unfettered travel from China, which is why it broke out there worse quicker than it did here. [00:00:49] He's also moved heaven and earth to get the ventilators, to get therapeutic medications out there so that we're seeing the death rate plummet. [00:01:00] We're seeing shorter hospital stays. [00:01:03] And of course, this week we saw the announcement that the Trump administration has done a deal with Pfizer for up to 600 million doses of a vaccine that they project will be available as early as December. [00:01:19] So I think the president's done really well there. [00:01:22] Secondly, the economy. [00:01:23] I mentioned what he did before COVID. [00:01:26] I mentioned the 7.5 million jobs that have been created just in the last 60 days. [00:01:32] I think as soon as we can get past this pandemic, this economy is going to explode. [00:01:37] He cut taxes. [00:01:39] He cut taxes for the average family of four in America, the typical household, saved $2,000. [00:01:46] He doubled the child tax credit to $2,000 so that a typical family with two children would be able to write $4,000 off their taxes. [00:01:57] He rolled back the Obama regulations to unleash fracking and the energy industry. [00:02:02] The jobs have exploded, over a half million new manufacturing jobs. [00:02:08] He's done a great job on the economy. [00:02:10] And then I think after that, health care, where Biden wants to basically adopt Bernie Sanders' plan of socialized medicine,
