Jim Bakker Show - A Former Police Chief's View On The Current Crisis Aired: 2020-07-31 Duration: 05:38 === People Empower Resistance Today (05:13) === [00:00:00] We are seeing the police departments really are tired of being mistreated. [00:00:06] One of the guys said that they felt like those people that came from Vietnam, they were not respected anymore. [00:00:14] What is happening internally in the police departments right now that you're hearing? [00:00:19] Because you're also associated with police departments all across America. [00:00:24] You help to train our police departments. [00:00:26] People are calling to reform the police departments. [00:00:30] I think we all can agree that there needs to be change in some way. [00:00:34] But at the same time, what is going through the minds of the police departments? [00:00:38] I think we forget that they're fathers, they're husbands, they're part of our community. [00:00:44] And it seems like the moment they put that uniform on, they are looked at as the enemy. [00:00:50] What is going on in the minds of the police officers today? [00:00:52] Sure. [00:00:53] Look, let's get right to the point we're even here. [00:00:56] After the killing of the suspect in Minnesota, and look, no one, there's not a cop out there that would condone what those actions of those officers. [00:01:08] None, zero. [00:01:09] And here's the thing: they're talking about, oh, the system's broke. [00:01:11] We need to fix it. [00:01:12] No, the system's working. [00:01:13] They were arrested. [00:01:15] They will go to court. [00:01:16] They will go to trial. [00:01:17] There's a system's not broke. [00:01:18] It's working. [00:01:18] It's an unfortunate situation that happened. [00:01:23] So, but look, here's what's happening in the police department now because the guilt, this white guilt is so incredible right now. [00:01:30] And there are people that are taking advantage of this and they are just working it to get at everything they possibly can. [00:01:38] So, law enforcement, what they're doing, used to be our fear was, or our worries, were when I leave, I get dressed to go to work. [00:01:46] Am I going to make it back home? [00:01:47] I want to make it back home in one piece. [00:01:49] That was our, that's your thought process, right? [00:01:52] Today, that's just magnified. [00:01:54] But now it's, I hope I don't get arrested. [00:01:56] I hope I don't have to take some kind of action because I'm forced to take that, because resistance today is just uncontrolled. [00:02:07] People are empowered to resist the police today instantly. [00:02:11] It blows my mind. [00:02:12] You hear people talk, well, I'm afraid to leave my house because the police are hunting us down and killing us. [00:02:18] Really? [00:02:19] You're afraid to leave your house. [00:02:20] You're afraid to go to school because the police are hunting down and killing you. [00:02:23] But then, when the police are involved in a situation or you're involved with the police, the first thing you do is get up in their face, cuss them out, and resist. [00:02:32] It's incredible. [00:02:33] So, what law enforcement is looking at now, they're facing resistance like never before. [00:02:37] How do you look? [00:02:39] In order for us to do our job, there's a couple things we have to do. [00:02:42] The first thing we need to do is we have to gain and maintain control of a scene before we can investigate and get to the bottom or solve problems of whatever it is that we're called there for, or whatever problems are going on. [00:02:55] We have to gain and maintain control of that scene in order to allow us to investigate it. [00:03:00] Well, when we're getting on the scene, we can't even gain control to investigate. [00:03:05] So, what do they expect us to do? [00:03:07] Just leave? [00:03:08] I mean, it's absolutely crazy. [00:03:12] And so, police officers today, they're going out to calls. [00:03:14] They're responding to calls. [00:03:15] And I know they're worried, like, oh, I hope I don't have to use force. [00:03:20] I submit to you this: look at the shooting in Atlanta where the suspect that resisted arrest grabbed the officer's taser, pointed, ran, pointed it, and the officer had to shoot. [00:03:30] Look at that. [00:03:31] Look at that video closely. [00:03:33] When they were on the ground fighting or wrestling around, right? [00:03:37] One officer is up behind him, and he almost puts his arm around his neck to get control of him. [00:03:43] And you can almost see, I can, as I'm watching the video, I can almost see him thinking, oh, I can't do that. [00:03:47] And then he doesn't, and he tries to grab his shoulders and do whatever. [00:03:51] That's when the guy gets the officer's taser, and he gets shot as a result. [00:03:56] Wow. [00:03:57] Unbelievable. [00:03:58] Police officers today, they're going on duty thinking, I hope I don't have to use force because they are getting no backing from the mayors, the prosecutors. [00:04:08] And when I say this, I'm talking about cities where the left rule. [00:04:13] Cities where the left rules. [00:04:15] This is where it's all happening. [00:04:16] It's not happening in the rural areas. [00:04:18] It's not happening in small communities. [00:04:20] It's happening in these big cities where the left has had control for some time. [00:04:25] And the prosecutors, it's all politically connected some way, some form, some fashion. [00:04:31] The prosecutors are going after police officers that are using justifiable force. [00:04:37] They don't make this stuff up. [00:04:38] This stuff has happened and came about through time. [00:04:41] Listen, here's how police officers and the laws that have been passed. [00:04:46] This is how we've learned through time. [00:04:49] Two things. [00:04:51] Color. [00:04:51] And I'm not talking about black and white. [00:04:53] I'm talking about red and green. [00:04:55] When police officers lose their lives, when civilians lose their lives, we lose blood, we get injured, we learn tactics. === Learning from Injury and Money (00:39) === [00:05:05] Police officers have died on this. [00:05:07] We got to learn tactics to keep that from happening. [00:05:09] Civilians have died during this. [00:05:11] We've got to learn tactics to prevent that from happening. [00:05:14] So blood is one way we learn tactics. [00:05:16] We learn things to do. [00:05:18] The other way is green, money. [00:05:21] When law enforcement does something wrong, we get sued. [00:05:24] And when we get sued, we figure, okay, listen, this isn't good. [00:05:27] This isn't right. [00:05:28] So let's figure out another way to do this to prevent us from being sued. [00:05:33] So this is how we've learned through time: injury and money.
