[00:00:00]  I was looking at Leviathan, and there are characteristics given in Job 41.
[00:00:06]  And so, number one, he's a covenant-breaking spirit.
[00:00:11]  Job, this spirit, Job 41 says, Uh, will he uh three and four, will he speak softly to you?
[00:00:19]  Will in verse four, will he make a covenant with you?
[00:00:23]  And so, I want to say to you that what happens, I was saying this was happening with some friends of ours.
[00:00:30]  We realized that Leviathan was getting between our communication.
[00:00:36]  Like, so I was saying one thing and I knew what I said, but they swore they heard something different.
[00:00:42]  They said, Oh, you did not say that to me.
[00:00:45]  And so, Leviathan is a twisting spirit, so it twists communication.
[00:00:52]  So, by the time you say something, it gets between you and the hearer.
[00:00:58]  And so, they hear something totally opposite or completely different.
[00:01:03]  Twist the tone.
[00:01:06]  And so, it says, Will he make a covenant with you?
[00:01:09]  So, even in marriages, this can happen.
[00:01:12]  I know Mike and I were getting kind of testy with each other one day.
[00:01:15]  I said, Mike, this is just that Leviathan spirit.
[00:01:19]  Now, we need to recognize what's going on right here.
[00:01:23]  And we stopped and we said, In the name of Jesus, we bind you, Leviathan.
[00:01:27]  You're not going to affect our marriage.
[00:01:31]  I totally understand it because, of course, this has happened between Jim and myself.
[00:01:34]  But I will tell you a great story, and it's a real story.
[00:01:37]  I wish Ricky was right here to say it's true, mom.
[00:01:40]  It happened one time about a year or so, about a year, maybe two years ago.
[00:01:45]  Ricky and I were up in the kitchen making dinner, and he just thought I said something to him that I didn't say, and it was twisted.
[00:01:57]  And I said, Ricky, this is not what I said.
[00:02:00]  I mean, you're taking something that I just said to you completely wrong and twisting it.
[00:02:04]  And all of a sudden, Ricky, my son, this young man of God, all of a sudden he goes, He recognized the spirit.
[00:02:11]  He goes, Wait a minute, mom, this is Leviathan.
[00:02:16]  I said, In the name of Jesus, we take over.
[00:02:19]  You are not allowed in this home, you twisted serpent.
[00:02:24]  And I mean, and Ricky agreed, and we prayed, and boom, it was over.
[00:02:28]  And then Ricky goes, I'm sorry, mom, please forgive me for taking it that way.
[00:02:32]  But there it was between and I bet you there's a lot of Leviathan spirits trying to take over right now in marriages and in families because everybody's locked in together, and all of a sudden, you're like, Oh, you get a little testy with each other when it's just one or two of you at times, or maybe 10.
[00:02:51]  But seriously, yeah, it happens in marriages, it happens in relationships.
[00:02:57]  And so, well, that happened with that ministry.
[00:03:00]  And so, I bound that spirit and I talked again to them, and it was like they forgot everything that happened before.
[00:03:07]  It was like it was gone, you know, like here I'm limping still, you know.
[00:03:10]  And but I knew better than to go back and try to go over it again at that point.
[00:03:15]  You know, I was just glad everything was okay.
[00:03:18]  But what you gave, you know, with you and Ricky that example is exactly why we're sharing with everybody today.
[00:03:27]  This is so important to realize, and sometimes people, you know, we just walk in and out of our life.
[00:03:36]  And if we don't deal with this twisting spirit, it'll play on hurts and you know, things where you haven't cleared things up.
[00:03:45]  And then all of a sudden, boom, you're it's breaking covenant.
[00:03:50]  You want a divorce, you know, you want to walk out and or something like that.
[00:03:55]  It's a covenant-breaking spirit.
[00:03:58]  Now we need to understand this.
[00:04:01]  We need to understand what is really happening.
[00:04:05]  And, you know, I think since Mike and I have come to realize, just like you and Ricky, stop a minute here.
[00:04:14]  Okay, just stop a minute.
[00:04:16]  What is really going on?
[00:04:18]  We love each other.

=== Pride and Humility Battle (02:54) ===

[00:04:19]  You know, we don't want to break covenant.
[00:04:22]  We have a covenant.
[00:04:24]  But the wonderful thing, and I'm going to jump ahead because there's some more points I want to make on this.
[00:04:29]  But what is behind this?
[00:04:30]  It says Job 41:34.
[00:04:34]  He beholds every high thing.
[00:04:36]  He is the king over the children of pride.
[00:04:40]  So, so pride raises its ugly head.
[00:04:46]  And like, look what Ricky did.
[00:04:48]  I mean, I'm so proud of Ricky and proud of you for teaching Ricky and you and Jim because he humbled himself.
[00:04:58]  You understand that?
[00:04:59]  He didn't try to defend himself.
[00:05:02]  He didn't get mad at you.
[00:05:04]  He just humbled himself and said, I'm sorry.
[00:05:08]  And what happens?
[00:05:09]  Whew, a soft answer turns away wrath.
[00:05:12]  So what happens is somebody has to come in humility in the opposite spirit because Leviathan feeds on pride.
[00:05:21]  Before we go any further, what I want to say to everybody and to Cindy, what she, the point she's making is this: is that how do you kill Leviathan?
[00:05:29]  How do you destroy Leviathan?
[00:05:31]  Go to Job 41 and read all of Leviathan and the whole thing that he deals with here in Job.
[00:05:41]  And that the word deals within Job is God.
[00:05:45]  But when you said he beholds all things, he is king over all the children of pride.
[00:05:50]  So therefore, humility kills Leviathan.
[00:05:55]  And if there was ever a time to be humble, it's now.
[00:05:58]  I have all my little sayings.
[00:05:59]  The kids know, and people around me know I have sayings everywhere.
[00:06:03]  And because I just certain ones I like.
[00:06:04]  And this one I found a little ceramic.
[00:06:06]  And it says, on one side, work hard.
[00:06:08]  And the other side, it says, stay humble.
[00:06:11]  What else on Leviathan, Cindy?
[00:06:14]  Well, I'm so glad you asked.
[00:06:18]  There's things like I wrote down, he has the manifestations that bring despair, depression, and timidation.
[00:06:28]  Look at verse 8 of Job 41.
[00:06:32]  Lay your hand on him.
[00:06:34]  Remember the battle.
[00:06:35]  Never do it again.
[00:06:38]  Okay, so what's happening is there's this intimidation, and the next verse amplifies it.
[00:06:46]  Any hope of overcoming him is false.
[00:06:51]  Shall one not be overwhelmed at the sight of him.
[00:06:56]  So whatever battle you're in, when Leviathan's in it, it's like it's big.
[00:07:02]  It feels maybe it is a big battle, but it feels so big you want to quit.
[00:07:08]  It feels so big, you can't even see God sometimes for the answers.
[00:07:12]  You just get overwhelmed.
