Jim Bakker Show - The Hebrides Revival - Larry Sparks Aired: 2020-05-06 Duration: 01:52 === Presence Revival Conviction (01:52) === [00:00:00] Larry, you said that the Hebrides was one of your favorite revivals in history. [00:00:06] Tell us why. [00:00:08] It's a presence revival. [00:00:10] That's what I love about the Hebrides revival. [00:00:12] What do I mean by that? [00:00:13] There is such a return to the presence of God. [00:00:17] And here's the deal: the presence of God is not a feeling. [00:00:19] It's not goosebumps. [00:00:21] Although I've been in amazing meetings, meetings that have come out of Brownsville and Toronto, where people are overwhelmed by the presence of God. [00:00:28] But when you experience the presence of God, as we saw in the days of the Hebrides revival, there was conviction. [00:00:34] There was a turning from sin, not because, and what I love about you, Jim, and Lori, you preach the love of God, but you also preach the reality of the truth that sin, God is not okay with sin. [00:00:45] God is not okay with sin because sin destroys us individually. [00:00:49] Sin also destroys nations. [00:00:52] And in just a moment, I mean, one of the things I was talking to Mondo about is sharing kind of three prophetic perspectives that people are having right now in the midst of this. [00:01:01] But I wanted to answer your question. [00:01:02] The reason I love the Hebrides revival is a presence revival where people led by those two little old ladies who are kind of falling apart. [00:01:10] I mean, they couldn't even leave their house. [00:01:12] Let that be an encouragement to the people who are watching. [00:01:15] They couldn't leave their house. [00:01:16] So they decided to consecrate and give their house as a place where they prayed. [00:01:21] And the kind of prayer that they used, I mean, I'm reading in this book, Revival Fire. [00:01:26] It was called prevailing prayer. [00:01:28] In other words, it was prayer that persisted with God until they saw results. [00:01:34] And as a result, they saw this whole body of land, all these islands, the Hebrides islands being saturated in the presence of God, thousands, tens of thousands, maybe millions coming to Jesus as a result of that. [00:01:48] And all because they experienced a visitation of God's presence.
