[00:00:06]  And every day has real deep problems.
[00:00:10]  Every day I wake up with what I call my life rubric.
[00:00:15]  Just guiding principles.
[00:00:17]  It begins with this.
[00:00:19]  Today's complacency is tomorrow's captivity.
[00:00:25]  I can't be complacent on my circumstance.
[00:00:28]  Number two, You are what you tolerate.
[00:00:34]  There are things that we tolerate that we have the authority and the power to rebuke.
[00:00:38]  Yes.
[00:00:40]  But we accommodate ourselves to the circumstance and we tolerate it.
[00:00:43]  Number three, never sacrifice truth on the altar of expediency.
[00:00:50]  Never sacrifice it.
[00:00:52]  Even if it's the easy way out, never do it.
[00:00:54]  These principles guide me every single day.
[00:00:59]  Every single day.
[00:01:00]  So when the negative things happen, when life happens, when life interrupts, I fall back to that rubric, knowing very well Philippians 1.6, the good work he has started, he will finish.
[00:01:14]  1 Thessalonians 5.24, he who called you is faithful to do it.
[00:01:18]  So I'm dependent on God's words and God's promises.
[00:01:22]  I've lived it out.
[00:01:23]  I've seen it.
[00:01:25]  There's a fine line between the prophetic and the pathetic.
[00:01:29]  There is.
[00:01:30]  There really is.
[00:01:30]  And I've been in the presence of both.
[00:01:32]  Yes.
[00:01:33]  You asked the question, how can people push back when they are confronted with things that paralyze them?
[00:01:39]  Believe God for his promises.
[00:01:42]  2 Corinthians 1.20, all of God's promises are yes and amen.
[00:01:45]  So every single week, I kid you not, on Mondays, I quote, I pray and remind God of his promises.
[00:01:54]  Whoa.
[00:01:54]  That's good.
[00:01:55]  Over my life and my children and my children's children.
[00:01:58]  And I have a list of promises and I have them on my iPhone and I go through that list every single Monday and that's my prayer for that Monday.
[00:02:05]  I prayed, of course, throughout the week, but I begin the week uttering the prayers and I see the word of God coming to pass.
[00:02:13]  There is power.
[00:02:15]  There is power.
[00:02:16]  You have to believe the word of God, driven by the Spirit of God, push back in the darkness.
[00:02:20]  Don't listen to the devil's lies.
[00:02:22]  It's all a distraction.
[00:02:23]  That's true.
[00:02:24]  But it's all a distraction.
[00:02:26]  It's the enemy trying to distract you.
[00:02:28]  He's trying to get your attention.
[00:02:29]  Don't give him the attention he wants.
[00:02:31]  Say amen, people.
