[00:00:04]  It's all a matter of perspective.
[00:00:06]  The man was paralyzed and he was paralyzed for 38 years.
[00:00:09]  Jesus looks at him and says, do you want to get well?
[00:00:12]  All it required was a yes or no response.
[00:00:15]  The way he saw things was different.
[00:00:16]  Yes or no?
[00:00:17]  Do you want a latte?
[00:00:18]  Yes or no?
[00:00:20]  Do you want caramel macchiato latte?
[00:00:22]  Yes or no?
[00:00:24]  Yes or no, right?
[00:00:25]  Jesus asked the man, do you want to get well?
[00:00:28]  A yes or no response will do.
[00:00:29]  His response is cognitively incoherent.
[00:00:32]  He says, I can't.
[00:00:34]  Jesus never asked him if he could.
[00:00:37]  So parenthetically speaking, Jesus is looking at the man going, hey, sunshine.
[00:00:42]  Obviously, you can't.
[00:00:44]  If you could, you wouldn't be there in the first place.
[00:00:46]  The problem is, not only was this man physically paralyzed, he was spiritually paralyzed, morally paralyzed.
[00:00:51]  Every vestige of his life, his destiny was paralyzed.
[00:00:53]  And then Jesus looks at him and does something powerful.
[00:00:57]  Jesus could have easily walked away and said, you have zero faith.
[00:01:01]  I can't work with you, but he didn't.
[00:01:03]  Jesus looked at him and said, stand up.
[00:01:06]  Now, I need you to get this here.
[00:01:07]  That's where you go back to the Greek exegete of the passage.
[00:01:10]  Jesus tells him to stand up.
[00:01:12]  The man just said, I can't.
[00:01:14]  Why didn't Jesus walk away?
[00:01:16]  Jesus told him to stand up.
[00:01:17]  If you do the Greek exegete, stand up was not a supposition.
[00:01:22]  It wasn't a consideration or a recommendation.
[00:01:25]  Jesus commanded him to stand up.
[00:01:27]  In other words, Jesus bypassed the drama and spoke to his destiny.
[00:01:32]  He bypassed the problem and spoke to the promise.
[00:01:35]  So he spoke to his purpose inside of him and said, you're standing up whether you like it or not, sunshine.
[00:01:40]  I'm not asking you.
[00:01:41]  I'm telling you to stand up.
[00:01:43]  That's the power of the word of God.
[00:01:46]  I don't care how paralyzed you may be right now.
[00:01:49]  There is a word from heaven.
[00:01:51]  Your children may be paralyzed.
[00:01:52]  Your faith, your finances, your health, your anointing, your joy, your peace.
[00:01:56]  There's a word from heaven.
[00:01:58]  And right now, the word from heaven is this.
[00:02:00]  Stand up in the name of Jesus.
