[00:00:00]  Oral Roberts was so a man of God.
[00:00:03]  People will come.
[00:00:05]  The press would fight him and all.
[00:00:08]  He did bring the great move of healing to our country, to our world.
[00:00:13]  And he was a man who taught me so much.
[00:00:16]  He changed the spiritual complexion of the United States.
[00:00:20]  Yeah.
[00:00:21]  When it began, people hated healing.
[00:00:24]  They scoffed at miracles.
[00:00:26]  And by the time he got through, I mean, everybody was.
[00:00:31]  Now, not many men have done that anywhere.
[00:00:35]  That's right.
[00:00:35]  He changed the spiritual complexion of this nation.
[00:00:38]  One time he came to Heritage and the big barn auditorium, which was going to be our studio and production center and all.
[00:00:50]  I moved out there and I said, I'm not going to leave.
[00:00:53]  And on stage, we had a big amphitheater.
[00:00:58]  So we were doing our show in the rain, sun, moved, and we had no studio.
[00:01:04]  And I made a stage in front of the big barn, and it was open on both ends, and the wind was whipping through.
[00:01:12]  And so Oral said, I'm going to come and be on your show.
[00:01:20]  And I'm sitting there, and he said, Jim, I've got seed faith I want to put in.
[00:01:29]  He gave me a chat for in the neighborhood, somewhere around a quarter of a million dollars.
[00:01:35]  Wow.
[00:01:37]  And he ministered to that audience.
[00:01:40]  And within days, every penny was there, and that building was finished.
[00:01:48]  And then he came back to dedicate it.
[00:01:49]  That's the kind of man he was.
[00:01:51]  Jim, let me give you a snapshot of him.
[00:01:56]  It startled me.
[00:01:59]  This was the first time that I had been invited back to speak on campus there at Oral Roberts University.
[00:02:09]  And I spoke at each one in each department and then at night in maybe sent him for a couple of days.
[00:02:16]  And we went to his home for lunch.
[00:02:21]  Now, you just think this is so typical of Oral Roberts.
[00:02:26]  He said, you know, he orders everybody around.
[00:02:29]  And he says, now, Kenneth, you should take your shoes off and sit right there on the floor.
[00:02:34]  And he said, Gloria, take your shoes off and sit right here on the floor.
[00:02:38]  Evelyn, take your shoes off.
[00:02:39]  She said, Oral, I am not taking my shoes off, and I'm not sitting on the floor.
[00:02:45]  I'm sitting in the chair.
[00:02:48]  Well, he had his Bible and his pad out.
[00:02:52]  Oh, man, I thought, glory to God.
[00:02:55]  Whoa, man, is this going to be good?
[00:02:59]  We sat down there.
[00:03:00]  He said, now, Kenneth, teach me about faith.
[00:03:06]  Wow.
[00:03:08]  Wow.
[00:03:09]  I said, you've got to be kidding me.
[00:03:14]  No.
[00:03:15]  No, no.
[00:03:16]  See, at that time, I had become an ardent student of Kenneth Hagin on the subject of faith.
[00:03:23]  He said, you boys have learned things about faith I don't know.
[00:03:27]  And I'm the hungriest man for God you've ever seen in your life.
[00:03:31]  Wow.
