Jim Bakker Show - The Importance of Prophecy - Perry Stone on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2018-05-31 Duration: 02:43 === Faithful to God (02:42) === [00:00:00] So I think, going back to your question, I think a lot of times in churches, they are so careful not to offend anyone. [00:00:07] And that's, in reality, what I think, if they would preach under an anointing, there's always going to be people that don't like it. [00:00:15] But God always replaces people who leave you with other people because you're faithful to him. [00:00:24] Yes. [00:00:25] And that's the key. [00:00:26] If you'll be faithful to God, God's going to be faithful to you. [00:00:30] And I've learned it's just like with Jesus' ministry. [00:00:33] One day, Jesus, Jesus, he's the hero. [00:00:35] Next minute, crucify, crucify. [00:00:37] You know, one minute you're the hero. [00:00:38] Next day, they're trying to put you on a cross. [00:00:40] But I think that's it. [00:00:41] I think it's the debt issue. [00:00:41] But these are the times we're living in that people, you just said it. [00:00:44] I like. [00:00:44] I want to hear those statistics. [00:00:46] You said that women, young people, children are more interested in the prophetic than anybody. [00:00:54] And I seem to find that true myself. [00:00:57] I mean, I'm so interested in it. [00:00:59] I'm so into it. [00:01:00] I want to know everything. [00:01:01] I think four years ago to five, we didn't see it. [00:01:04] But what happened is the teaching got out, and then people would begin to do like you do, begin to see things in the spirit. [00:01:11] I would see it. [00:01:12] It would happen. [00:01:12] So they're saying, maybe we need to pay attention. [00:01:15] Maybe we need to pay attention to this guy. [00:01:17] And I know in the Baptist churches, they love prophecy more than any other group. [00:01:21] The Catholics now who begin to watch Christian TV are very much into the prophetic. [00:01:26] And here's the reason prophecy is so important: it proves the Bible is true. [00:01:32] It proves that Jesus, the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy in the book of Revelation. [00:01:38] So when you begin to talk about it and then you begin to show people, here's the evidence, it's specific, here's the Greek and Hebrew word. [00:01:46] Here's what's it's like, oh, wow, man. [00:01:49] Hey, that's pretty cool. [00:01:51] Then they want to study it more to discover because can I tell you all something after 41 years of preaching, writing since I was 18 years of age, I can tell you that even though God has blessed me, I say God's blessed me, I guess the Lord just put up with me doing it. [00:02:09] But I have about 170,000 hours of study, and people don't believe that, but that's those two guys right there, what I do all day from the time I get, time I leave, I'm in an office. [00:02:17] I don't even know that I've gone to lunch with them one time at lunchtime. [00:02:20] I'm in there studying. [00:02:21] And I'll just say, give me something to eat. [00:02:23] So my point is that in all of this that you do, it doesn't, understanding prophecy doesn't just come because, hey, I think I'm going to understand. [00:02:33] Oh, God, that's good. [00:02:34] You've got to know what he said. [00:02:36] But what's exciting is that people then pay attention when God begins to do something.
