[00:00:00]  Go to Revelation 6.9 now.
[00:00:03]  And this is the fifth seal.
[00:00:06]  And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God.
[00:00:16]  Oh, hold that.
[00:00:18]  For the word of God.
[00:00:20]  Yeah.
[00:00:21]  Wow.
[00:00:22]  They were slain.
[00:00:22]  What is this about?
[00:00:24]  Persecution.
[00:00:25]  What was that news story that came out today?
[00:00:28]  Project Verdas came out with a new video in which there was a reporter talking to, you know, they didn't know they were being recorded at the time.
[00:00:36]  And she had said, you know, what's worse than President Trump is President Pence because he's too religious.
[00:00:41]  He's too religious.
[00:00:41]  Because they're trying to improve.
[00:00:42]  president trump so this woman who wants to impeach president trump she said but if you impeach president trump you're going to get you're going to get a president pence which she said is even worse And why did she say he was worse?
[00:00:55]  Because he's too religious.
[00:00:56]  He's extremely religious.
[00:00:58]  Because he believes in Jesus.
[00:00:59]  He's Christ.
[00:01:00]  He doesn't have a religious spirit.
[00:01:03]  See, but they're going to hate us for he is spiritual.
[00:01:08]  But we're going to be hated for God's name, for Jesus' name's sake.
[00:01:13]  This is where we are now.
[00:01:16]  Absolutely.
[00:01:16]  We're in the book of Revelation.
[00:01:19]  Every church should be teaching Revelation, at least on Sunday night, so you scary people can stay home.
[00:01:24]  But you ought to go and just read it.
[00:01:27]  It says, isn't the blessing said if you just read it, I think it says if I'm not mistaken.
[00:01:32]  That's at the beginning of the book of Revelation.
[00:01:35]  So the stage is set for one-fourth of the world to die.
[00:01:39]  That's coming.
[00:01:42]  The fifth seal opens a spring of support and consolation to those who had been and still were under great tribulation for the sake of Christ and the gospel.
[00:01:52]  And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar a place of Jewish sacrifice.
[00:02:01]  And it always is what that was.
[00:02:03]  Yes.
[00:02:04]  But the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for their testimony.
[00:02:11]  You know, how does the Bible say you defeat by the word of your testimony?
[00:02:16]  You defeat Satan.
[00:02:17]  Revelation.
[00:02:18]  These are people that have to give up their life.
[00:02:23]  Well, that whole verse.
[00:02:24]  People always stop.
[00:02:25]  It says, you know, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.
[00:02:27]  And people love to cut it off right there.
[00:02:29]  But there's actually more to that verse and it says, and they love their lives not unto the death.
[00:02:34]  They were willing to die for the cause of Christ.
[00:02:37]  People always cut that off because that part's too graphic for them.
[00:02:39]  But you have to finish the verse.
[00:02:42]  I don't know how long God's going to let me preach the gospel, how long I'll be on earth, because I'm getting old.
[00:02:47]  But you're not getting it.
[00:02:48]  Stop saying that.
[00:02:49]  You're getting young.
[00:02:50]  You're getting younger, really.
[00:02:51]  Sometimes I worry that you'll outlive me.
[00:02:55]  Oh, man.
[00:02:56]  But this word, read that again, what you just read.
[00:03:02]  That scripture you just read.
[00:03:04]  It is Revelation 12, 11.
[00:03:05]  They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they love their lives not unto the death.
[00:03:11]  So good.
[00:03:13]  That's what it all boils down to.
[00:03:15]  We're reading about that in Revelation, but we have to remember that we can't love our lives unto the death.
[00:03:20]  We can't not be willing to sacrifice ourselves because at that point, we have put ourselves before God.
[00:03:25]  The reason I was saying this is because people living right now, some will have to give up their lives for God.
[00:03:35]  Well, it's an honor to give up your life for God.
[00:03:36]  Even in heaven, you'll be placed in a place a bit higher than the rest of us if you're a martyr.
[00:03:42]  When have you heard it your church preached that you might have to be a martyr?
[00:03:45]  Has anybody told you that?
[00:03:49]  I don't know.
[00:03:49]  No, they told me that.
[00:03:51]  When was the last time they taught you that it would be an honor to be a martyr?
[00:03:54]  They don't.
[00:03:55]  They just talk about the disciples who were martyrs, except for John, of course.
[00:04:01]  They tried to martyr him many times.
[00:04:04]  They tried to boil him to death, and he didn't.
[00:04:06]  They flogged him, they boiled him, they isolated him, but that man was too determined.
[00:04:10]  Yes, and now we have the book of Revelation because of him.
[00:04:14]  So the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them which were slain for the word of God and for their testimony.
[00:04:28]  These people want to kill the vice president, even.
[00:04:32]  They say he's unfit, more unfit than Trump.
[00:04:36]  And they want anybody but Trump.
[00:04:39]  But they said he's not fit because he loves Jesus Christ.
[00:04:45]  So for their testimony, those people are being badgered.
[00:04:51]  And they would kill them if they could.
[00:04:54]  Do you know the security they have to have around our president and vice president just to keep him alive?

=== Crying Out for Vengeance (01:48) ===

[00:05:01]  Have to.
[00:05:02]  Have to.
[00:05:04]  And so Revelation 6:10, it says that they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
[00:05:17]  This is the blood of the martyrs crying out, O God, avenge us, God.
[00:05:23]  And white robes were given unto them.
[00:05:26]  And it was said unto them that they should rest for a little season until the fellow servants, also their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
[00:05:36]  So they're in a process.
[00:05:38]  This is the tribulation.
[00:05:40]  These people are still on earth, and these are up in heaven.
[00:05:45]  And he's saying, well, there's more coming.
[00:05:48]  So the rapture hasn't taken place, people.
[00:05:52]  The dead have gone to be with the Lord.
[00:05:56]  But these are yet to die.
[00:05:59]  So John saw them under the altar at the foot of the altar of incense in the most holy place.
[00:06:04]  He saw them in heaven at the foot of Christ.
[00:06:09]  See, that's exactly what Ricky just said about the martyrs.
[00:06:14]  Absolutely.
[00:06:14]  That's right there.
[00:06:15]  I mean, we have to teach the whole word of God if we're going to be.
[00:06:18]  I personally believe if you leave this earth, you go to be with the Lord.
[00:06:24]  Yeah, Paul talks about it.
[00:06:25]  2 Corinthians.
[00:06:25]  You ever read that?
[00:06:26]  Yeah, I have a few times.
[00:06:27]  I have.
[00:06:28]  Well, it says, to be absent with ourselves is to be present with Christ.
[00:06:32]  To be absent from our physical body is to be present with Christ.
[00:06:35]  And so it's an honor.
[00:06:36]  I mean, honestly, not to be sent to God.
[00:06:37]  And that's what I preach, and that's what I believe.
[00:06:39]  What God's explaining here is the martyrs are close to him.
[00:06:45]  So they're in heaven.
[00:06:46]  They're right by his throne.
[00:06:48]  They're right there.
[00:06:49]  I believe that's what this means.
