Jim Bakker Show - All Things For Good - Rabbi Jonathan Cahn on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2017-09-15 Duration: 02:30 === Blessings Without Question (02:30) === [00:00:00] We don't ask God why we were blessed. [00:00:03] We don't tend to do that much. [00:00:05] We don't question the blessings. [00:00:07] We don't ask, but we ask why when it's not. [00:00:09] And really, it should be the other way around, meaning we all are worthy of hell, and we've been saved. [00:00:14] So everything we got is a blessing. [00:00:16] Everything's extra. [00:00:17] So we should be asking every day, why'd you bless me, Lord? [00:00:20] Why? [00:00:20] I don't deserve it, but thank you. [00:00:24] But as far as the other things, we always ask God why. [00:00:29] And the Bible gives the answer. [00:00:32] I mentioned that you brought up that one time when I was here, the very first time is we were in the wake of the hurricane, that harbinger and the hurricane and swept our whole building. [00:00:41] But it happened actually on 8.28 is when Hurricane Irene happened. [00:00:48] 828 struck us. [00:00:49] And so people said, 8.28, 828, 828. [00:00:52] That's familiar. [00:00:52] It's Romans 8.28. [00:00:54] Which says God works all things for good. [00:00:57] Even that, all things. [00:00:59] I don't know if you remember Richard Wirnbrand, and Serena. [00:01:02] They're awesome people. [00:01:04] And on my shows. [00:01:05] Awesome. [00:01:06] And they were in the underground church in Romania and they suffered under that. [00:01:10] He was in prison for 14 years. [00:01:11] Ten years. [00:01:11] He was beaten. [00:01:12] His feet were hurt. [00:01:13] Yeah, and yet he came out rejoicing. [00:01:15] He came out. [00:01:15] He had the greatest times with the Lord in prison. [00:01:18] They were people of joy. [00:01:20] And he said that the Lord said to him when he was in prison, he saw in the scripture it said, God works all things for good. [00:01:29] He saw that. [00:01:30] But he read it wrong. [00:01:32] It's really not, God worked all things for good. [00:01:34] He learned in prison, God works all things for good. [00:01:37] There's nothing that he doesn't work for good. [00:01:39] In prison, his life was, his ministry was born. [00:01:42] God did all those things. [00:01:44] And the other thing is that when he was in prison, he said, God, he was complaining. [00:01:48] Why? [00:01:48] He said, he was a pastor, and he finds himself chained up. [00:01:52] He says, why'd you, why do you, and he heard the Lord say, you're a pastor, but you were running around all the time. [00:01:57] I couldn't get you to sit down on my feet, so I had to chain you up. [00:02:01] So he said his feet. [00:02:02] And then he said, but Lord, Lord, I've been in solitary confinement for four years. [00:02:05] I haven't seen the sun rise. [00:02:06] And you said it rains on the, but also you caused the sun to rise on the righteous. [00:02:12] So even if you don't, and the unrighteous, so even if you don't think I'm righteous, please, why don't I have a sunrise? [00:02:17] Why doesn't the sun shine? [00:02:18] Why doesn't the sun shine? [00:02:20] And he said, the spirit of answers said, you're the light. [00:02:23] You shine in the darkness. [00:02:25] You're the sunrise. [00:02:26] You shine. [00:02:27] He ended up shining to his torturers, and he ended up winning them to the Lord.
