Jim Bakker Show - Prayers and Mercy - Rick Joyner on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2017-09-07 Duration: 03:52 === Pray For Leaders (03:52) === [00:00:00] But one thing we need to do too, which I've been doing, you know, we need to pray for Trump, but I'm convicted I didn't pray for Obama enough. [00:00:09] It didn't say pray for the presidents you agree with or the leaders you agree with. [00:00:15] I let him down. [00:00:16] I didn't pray for him like I should have. [00:00:18] I did pray for him whenever I could think, but I wasn't resolute and all that. [00:00:23] We need to pray for all of our leaders, whether we agree with them or not. [00:00:27] We need to pray for them to have righteous and wise counsel and many things. [00:00:35] Because the word tells us to. [00:00:37] Yeah. [00:00:38] And if you look at, there was almost as much hatred and all issued towards Obama as there is Trump right now. [00:00:48] It really was. [00:00:49] There was. [00:00:49] And we need to own that too. [00:00:52] And I'm afraid it's ratcheting up. [00:00:55] You know, who would want to be the next president the way things are going? [00:01:02] But all these things will come to pass. [00:01:05] They've come to pass on. [00:01:08] And I think we're going to get back on track. [00:01:11] We're going to see a lot of these issues. [00:01:13] I don't think we're going to see them totally resolved till the king comes, till the Lord returns, but we're going to make progress. [00:01:20] And we're going to come out of it better. [00:01:24] And there's a lot to go on, a lot to happen in the nations. [00:01:29] But it's all setting up for an ultimate conflict between light and darkness. [00:01:33] We need this ultimate clash, and we need to see both for what they are. [00:01:38] But, you know, when Jesus came, you know, his worst enemies were the religious conservatives. [00:01:49] And the sinners would repent and fall down. [00:01:54] The demoniacs would fall down in front of him, bow the knee. [00:01:59] It was the religious conservatives. [00:02:02] Self-righteousness is a far worse enemy. [00:02:05] Oh, my. [00:02:06] You know, and instead of condemning the LGBT, what did Abraham do for Sodom? [00:02:14] He interceded. [00:02:16] He beseeched the Lord. [00:02:18] And we've got to do the same thing. [00:02:20] We are not warring against flesh and blood. [00:02:24] But what has these people captured? [00:02:27] And, you know, all these other things. [00:02:29] But our self-righteousness can be a bigger affront and a bigger block to God's purposes than all of the wickedness that we see on the other side. [00:02:40] So true. [00:02:41] So this is a warfare against good and evil. [00:02:45] Yeah. [00:02:45] But the Lord had incredible mercy for the sinner and no tolerance for the self-righteous. [00:02:52] Now, you can be an atheist and be self-righteous. [00:02:56] I think that's where some of the biggest ones are. [00:02:59] You can be an atheist and have a religious spirit if you understand religious spirit. [00:03:03] It really has nothing to do with religion. [00:03:05] It's counter to true religion. [00:03:09] But these are things we really need to be educated on. [00:03:12] We need to see. [00:03:13] We need to go forth in our armor, but also with the humility and the grace. [00:03:21] God gives us grace to the humble. [00:03:24] Well, we're not coming because we're so righteous. [00:03:27] No, we've been delivered. [00:03:28] We've been given grace, but we're no better than that on our own. [00:03:33] And we've got to have the same kind of mercy for them. [00:03:38] And our victory is their liberation. [00:03:41] But we need to keep praying for them. [00:03:44] And also, I ask you to pray for Kim Jong-un and pray for North Korea and pray for Putin.
