[00:00:00]  Well the president, he keeps saying it.
[00:00:02]  He keeps saying, we just need to love everybody.
[00:00:04]  We all need to love everybody.
[00:00:06]  He says it over, doesn't he?
[00:00:07]  All the time.
[00:00:08]  Did you teach him that?
[00:00:10]  Well, what's so great about this, when you say, I spent so much time, I would go in.
[00:00:15]  I have a place in New York, and I would go in.
[00:00:18]  Always, when I was in town, I had a church there, and he'd say, Paula, come on in.
[00:00:22]  And I'd think, well, he's going to kick me out of a meeting after 10 minutes or so.
[00:00:26]  And he'd just let me stay there.
[00:00:27]  All day.
[00:00:28]  I'm thinking like, surely he's going to kick me out.
[00:00:31]  And at the time, it was just fascinating to think how he thought because he thought more kingdom-minded than almost any pastor I'd ever been around.
[00:00:39]  So when we would meet with us, I mean, people were, you know, I'd say 80% would come in and be very skeptical.
[00:00:45]  90% would leave loving him because he would sit for hours with us.
[00:00:51]  And he'd listen.
[00:00:52]  He's one of the best listeners.
[00:00:53]  One of the best listeners.
[00:00:55]  And this is so important because what he recognized, he recognized, and I started this, that we as preachers didn't go to him about the Johnson Amendment.
[00:01:04]  He said one day in one of these meetings, he said, you know what?
[00:01:08]  You're no more powerful than the homeless man on the street.
[00:01:10]  He goes, you've lost your voice.
[00:01:13]  And he comes up in the next meeting that we're in, and he said, I'm going to restore the Johnson Amendment.
[00:01:18]  And I'm thinking, well, surely somebody told him about this because I didn't really know all about the Johnson Amendment.
[00:01:23]  I knew a little bit, but I kind of didn't know.
[00:01:25]  And I realized I just knew we weren't ever allowed to talk from anything.
[00:01:28]  And everybody came and investigated.
[00:01:30]  I went through nine years of investigation.
[00:01:32]  I mean, it was like, no one wants to talk about it.
[00:01:35]  But if you've been in big ministry and you've ever been in ministry, trust me, you've gone through it.
[00:01:41]  And it's where we stand up and you've got to say enough is enough.
[00:01:45]  You can't be fearful right now.
[00:01:47]  You can't hide behind like when Jesus was crucified, as I said before, how the disciples hid and then Jesus showed himself and then they came out with boldness and they came out with power.

=== Never Twist the Truth (05:56) ===

[00:01:59]  We need the book of Acts church.
[00:02:01]  We need to have an outpouring of God's Spirit.
[00:02:04]  We need the church to be bold.
[00:02:06]  And they were bold under persecution.
[00:02:08]  We glory in tribulations.
[00:02:10]  We rejoice in persecution is what my Bible says.
[00:02:13]  Not like some crazy person says, oh, I like going through all this hard times, but it's saying that we recognize that we are really genuinely in spiritual warfare.
[00:02:23]  And Pastor Jim, I'm telling you, John and I, we would go to the rallies and things because he always, he'd want us around.
[00:02:29]  He'd say, you know, pray for me.
[00:02:31]  And I'll talk about his faith in a minute because he'd say, pray for me or share this or da-da-da-da-da.
[00:02:36]  And we would, we would just be there in prayer and we'd be praising and etc.
[00:02:41]  And I would sit in a conference or rally and then I don't watch a whole lot of TV.
[00:02:46]  You know, if it sounds crazy.
[00:02:47]  And then all of a sudden I decided, I'm going to turn on the TV because I was hearing all this controversy.
[00:02:52]  And I watched where we just were, and I couldn't believe it because if I was not there myself, I would have never believed it because they were so antithesis.
[00:03:04]  They were so different.
[00:03:05]  And I went, John, do you see this?
[00:03:07]  It was such a setup.
[00:03:09]  And I knew beforehand, like the protesters and all this, it's like all these young kids of first were coming out, right?
[00:03:15]  And then they would go out, make a scene, and then they'd start laughing.
[00:03:19]  And he was so patient.
[00:03:21]  And then the media would portray something else.
[00:03:23]  I'll never forget this lady had been standing in heat for a long time and she fainted.
[00:03:28]  And he stopped, and he stopped the whole rally and waited like an hour till she was okay.
[00:03:34]  Media has never reported any of this stuff.
[00:03:36]  The caring, the compassion.
[00:03:38]  And it was like I watched the words being twisted.
[00:03:41]  I watched, unfortunately, preachers do some really bad things.
[00:03:44]  Tell him.
[00:03:45]  So he was so proud.
[00:03:46]  He would go out in the very beginning.
[00:03:48]  Remember, he brought his Bible out.
[00:03:50]  And I was there.
[00:03:52]  Guys, I was there when they did the interviews.
[00:03:55]  I was there.
[00:03:56]  And when they go, oh, he doesn't believe in redemption and stuff.
[00:03:59]  That is so not true.
[00:04:00]  They twisted that whole thing.
[00:04:02]  What he was basically saying was, I wouldn't take, he doesn't drink.
[00:04:05]  He's never, he doesn't drink.
[00:04:07]  And I mean, he was saying, I wouldn't take communion without asking forgiveness.
[00:04:13]  I know that this is a holy sacrament of God.
[00:04:16]  But every single time he said it, so finally, I will say this.
[00:04:19]  I went to him and I said, listen, you've got to make a decision.
[00:04:23]  You're either going to be public with your faith or you're going to be private with it.
[00:04:26]  I said, and if you're going to be public because you are no longer the businessman, you are no longer, this has been good, the man, you are now in a completely different world.
[00:04:37]  And I said, I don't understand this world of politics, but I know this is a whole different level.
[00:04:41]  And all I knew is the spirit realm.
[00:04:43]  I said, the spirit realm, and naturally.
[00:04:45]  And I said, because everything you say and everything you do, they're taking it and they're twisting it.
[00:04:51]  And I personally watched, when he came out with 2 Corinthians, let me say, he didn't say that.
[00:04:55]  Well, he said it.
[00:04:56]  But let me give you the real story.
[00:04:57]  We flew up on the plane with him, with Jared, with Ivanka, everyone.
[00:05:01]  So we're with our dear friends, and Jerry and Becky, amazing people, become great friends.
[00:05:08]  And I go, like I always do, and I was praying over the president.
[00:05:12]  Well, just before he gets ready to go on, before that, there's about, you know, I think, well, I'll stand here until he goes up.
[00:05:21]  John has gone to sit with the family with Jerry, Becky, Jared, Ivanka, etc.
[00:05:25]  So I pray over him.
[00:05:27]  And this was when Corey was the manager.
[00:05:30]  And so Corey's there with him.
[00:05:32]  And I walk and I go sit with the family.
[00:05:35]  Well, I knew that there was this preacher the next day or so that was coming out for Senator Cruz.
[00:05:43]  But he had been playing Trump's side.
[00:05:46]  And he'd been courting Trump.
[00:05:48]  Well, I'm not going to go to the president because I believe bring the solution, then tell a person the problem.
[00:05:54]  You know, that I'm there to be a solver, not a problem.
[00:05:57]  I'm not like, oh, this and this about every person.
[00:06:00]  They're dealing with major stuff.
[00:06:02]  So right before he gets ready to walk up, a preacher tells him, say this, 2 Corinthians, or the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
[00:06:13]  So he says exactly what the preacher tells him to say.
[00:06:18]  I'm sorry, say 2 Corinthians, not 2.
[00:06:20]  He'd say 2 Corinthians.
[00:06:22]  So the media goes crazy.
[00:06:23]  Oh, he doesn't know the Bible.
[00:06:25]  It was a, well, yeah, the kids laughed.
[00:06:29]  But here's, I'm just going to be honest.
[00:06:31]  Yes, tell the people.
[00:06:32]  Because the reality is everybody wants to justify and say, well, they use that in Europe, which is true.
[00:06:38]  So he gets off the stage, and Corey says, it's 2 Corinthians.
[00:06:41]  He looks at me.
[00:06:42]  I said, it's 2 Corinthians.
[00:06:43]  He goes, well, that's not what he said to me.
[00:06:45]  And he points to him.
[00:06:46]  And I went, because I knew the truth.
[00:06:49]  But I didn't want him to know that this person, okay, guys, let's be real.
[00:06:54]  Don't act like everybody in the body of Christ is never used because good people can be used by bad people.
[00:07:00]  It was a setup.
[00:07:01]  It was a setup.
[00:07:03]  And every demon in hell is after Trump.
[00:07:07]  I mean, and it's a small example, and everybody's going to go, but it's not a small example because everybody wanted to then make that as an example.
[00:07:14]  And I said, are you kidding me?
[00:07:16]  And maybe I shouldn't have told this story, but I did.
[00:07:18]  I'm glad you did.
[00:07:19]  I've heard the story, the truth, but I never told it because I didn't know for sure it was the truth.
[00:07:24]  I thought you were there.
[00:07:25]  So we just need to continue to lift up our nation, to lift up the church, that the church would be unified, that we would not be deceived by the enemy.
[00:07:33]  We would come together on issues.
[00:07:36]  And if we have an issue, we deal with it as a church the way that Christ told us to through his word.
[00:07:42]  When he said the greatest thing, line I think you've ever used.
[00:07:45]  In America, we don't worship government.
[00:07:48]  We worship God.
[00:07:54]  That's my favorite.
