[00:00:01] Yeah, Bobby. [00:00:02] And I don't know how in the world the church people are going to understand faith without works, is dead. [00:00:09] We've dead upon it. [00:00:12] I'll tell you one of the things that's happening, Jim. [00:00:15] The church has suffered a wardrobe malfunction. [00:00:18] You've heard me write. [00:00:20] The church has suffered a wardrobe malfunction. [00:00:23] God woke me up with that phrase one morning. [00:00:25] I sit straight up in bed. [00:00:27] I said, God. [00:00:29] I don't understand what you said to me. [00:00:31] He said, I want you to start announcing prophetically all over the world, the body of Christ has suffered a wardrobe malfunction. [00:00:39] I said, would you please give me some verses for that? [00:00:41] And he carried me to Judges 6, verse 34. [00:00:45] There's a man there named Gideon. [00:00:46] You remember the story? [00:00:47] Gideon was fearful. [00:00:49] He was inferior. [00:00:50] He had this inferiority complex. [00:00:52] He didn't have any perception of who he really was. [00:00:55] And the people of God were in a horrible situation. [00:00:58] The Midianites and the Amorites were coming in stealing. [00:01:01] And they were just trying to, God's people were just trying to get by. [00:01:08] And there's Gideon down in a wine vat. [00:01:10] Remember the story? [00:01:10] He's sifting wheat. [00:01:12] And the angel of God, Jesus pre-incarnate, says, hello there, you victorious warrior. [00:01:17] And Gideon goes, no, you couldn't be talking about me. [00:01:20] I'm from Manasseh. [00:01:21] Manasseh is the smallest tribe in all Israel. [00:01:23] My family is the weakest family in the hall of the tribe. [00:01:26] And besides that, I'm the weakest one in my father's family. [00:01:29] Wow, wow. [00:01:30] He was just told by God, you're strong and mighty. [00:01:33] And he said, no. [00:01:34] But listen, I'm telling you, here's what happened. [00:01:36] Judges 6, 34. [00:01:38] Let me read it to you. [00:01:39] It's unbelievable. [00:01:40] This is out of the Amplified Classic Bible. [00:01:43] Verse 34 says, but the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with himself and took possession of him. [00:01:51] What? [00:01:52] There's the wardrobe problem. [00:01:54] There's too much flesh being exposed. [00:01:57] It says God clothed Gideon with himself. [00:02:01] You say, well, Bobby, that was Old Testament situation. [00:02:04] I read the New Testament. [00:02:06] Romans 13, verse 14 says, clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision to fulfill the lustful cravings in your life. [00:02:17] So God clothed Gideon with himself, but now we're to be mature enough to clothe ourself with the Lord Jesus. [00:02:24] So we've had a wardrobe malfunction, don't you think? [00:02:27] We need to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. [00:02:29] Make no provision for justifying the flesh. [00:02:34] I want to challenge you and I want to implore you. [00:02:36] We have got to hang on to holiness. [00:02:39] We cannot. [00:02:40] We've got to be pure and clean if we're going to get close to God. [00:02:44] Psalms 24, 3 and 4 says, who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? [00:02:49] He that hath clean hands and a pure heart. [00:02:52] You say, no, Bobby, listen, that's old school. [00:02:55] That's legalistic. [00:02:56] No, the Bible said in the New Testament, pursue peace and holiness, for without holiness, no individual will see God. [00:03:03] Holiness is not optional. [00:03:05] Here's what I tell these millennials and the young people. [00:03:07] I get to preach at some of the largest youth conferences going around. [00:03:10] And here it is, 2 Corinthians 7, 1. [00:03:13] Having, therefore, these promises, dearly beloved, let us purify ourselves. [00:03:17] Let us cleanse ourselves from every bit of the contamination of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the reverential fear of the Lord. [00:03:26] Jim, I'm going to tell you a secret. [00:03:28] One of the great things God's about to do to the body of Christ, he's about to release the holy fear of God. [00:03:34] The awe of God is coming back to the people of God. === Reintroduced to Christ (00:28) === [00:03:38] The holy, reverential fear of the Lord is going to come back to the people of God. [00:03:42] He said, announce to the church, I'm about to reintroduce myself to my people. [00:03:47] You say, I don't understand that. [00:03:48] In the book of Revelation, there's a guy named John. [00:03:51] It says in the Gospels, he leaned his heart, his head against the very heartbeat of Jesus Christ, but he's about to be reintroduced to Christ in a deeper dimension. [00:04:00] He sees him now as king of glory, and he falls at his feet as though he were dead.
