Jim Bakker Show - A False Report - Dr. William Forstchen on The Jim Bakker Show Aired: 2017-04-18 Duration: 04:53 === Living in a Fallen World (04:29) === [00:00:00] I had somebody accuse me, a reviewer last week, said that I was too Hobbesian. [00:00:05] Too what? [00:00:06] Hobbesian. [00:00:08] He is the philosopher famous for the statement that life is nasty, brutish and short. [00:00:14] And as Christians, we do acknowledge that. [00:00:16] One of the first things we have to acknowledge is we are fallen living in a fallen world. [00:00:23] It is the process of ours trying to reach up to the light of God that distinguishes us from those who do not. [00:00:31] It is the struggle that we go through in this world. [00:00:36] It is true. [00:00:38] And we have seen great leaders in the past try to point that way. [00:00:43] We live in a fallen world. [00:00:46] We live in a world with ISIS. [00:00:48] We live in a world with a psychotic in North Korea. [00:00:50] Now, do we stick our heads in the sand or do we stand up and say, no, I am going to stand for the light. [00:00:55] I am going to stand for the truth. [00:00:57] Talk to the veterans we still have who liberated the camps and then try and tell them that Iran is right and it never happened. [00:01:09] There is a lot of mistakes in this article about your book. [00:01:13] Well, popular mechanics? [00:01:15] It's so funny. [00:01:16] This article came out a few days ago. [00:01:18] March 31st. [00:01:20] Dr. Pry and I were immediately communicating on that. [00:01:23] But here's what it says. [00:01:24] I read a pre-publication copy of a book called One Second After. [00:01:28] I hope it does get published. [00:01:31] I think the American people need to read it. [00:01:33] That's Congressman Bartlett who chaired the committee. [00:01:36] First of all, the book was published how long ago? [00:01:39] 2009. [00:01:42] This book. [00:01:43] But anyhow. [00:01:44] And then it says it's the story of a ballistic missile EMP attacked on our country. [00:01:49] The weapon was launched from a ship off our shore, and then the ship was sunk so that there was no fingerprints. [00:01:56] It's interesting. [00:01:57] That article is quoting an interview with Dr. Prye from Congressman Bartlett eight years ago. [00:02:05] And let me provide a genesis here. [00:02:07] When I first started working on the book. [00:02:09] Wait a minute. [00:02:11] Let's go there. [00:02:12] This is crazy. [00:02:13] It's crazy. [00:02:14] I'm trying to figure it out. [00:02:15] It's fake news. [00:02:16] It says the weapon was launched from a ship off our shore, then the ship was sunk so there was no fingerprints. [00:02:23] The weapon was launched about 300 miles high over Nebraska and it shut down our infrastructure countrywide. [00:02:32] The story runs for a year. [00:02:33] It is set in the hills of North Carolina. [00:02:36] At the end of the year, 90 percent of our population is dead. [00:02:41] There are 25,000 people still alive in New York City. [00:02:46] The communities in the hills of North Carolina are more lucky. [00:02:49] Only 80 percent of their population is dead at the end of the year. [00:02:54] And then Bartlett, who was spooked by the novel, said after he left Congress, he became a survivalist. [00:03:02] And just to be clear, the claim that North Carolina could kill 90 percent of the American people was directly pulled from a science fiction novel. [00:03:11] That's not true, is it? [00:03:12] No, it's not true. [00:03:16] Let me give the linear, real facts. [00:03:20] When I first started working on the book, actually back in 2005, I spoke to Congressman Bartlett. [00:03:29] Did he become a survivalist? [00:03:30] I mean, is he believing that let's put it into its context to answer that? [00:03:35] Bartlett gives me advice, gives me the reports. [00:03:39] I will talk to Dr. Prague, Dr. Woolsey. [00:03:42] My reports, congressional reports come out. [00:03:45] 2009, I gave Congressman Roscoe Bartlett 535 copies of the book. [00:03:52] My publisher did. [00:03:53] They were handed to every member of Congress. [00:03:56] Wow. [00:03:56] They wound up as doorstoppers in most liberal congressional offices. [00:04:02] Bartlett gets gerrymandered out of his district in 2012. [00:04:07] He then moves to West Virginia, where I believe it might have been the Washington Post does a slam piece on him a year or two later, making him look like he's crazy, where Bartlett just simply said, no, I want to retire to a farm I had up in West Virginia and I wanted to be off the grid. === Not Prepared, Not Protected (00:38) === [00:04:24] What's wrong with that? [00:04:27] So, where I'm so angry is it's lying. [00:04:30] It's false news. [00:04:31] It's saying, look how foolish these people are. [00:04:33] And I have to ask, where will that magazine editor be? [00:04:36] Where will that author be on the day it goes down? [00:04:41] They will most likely be protected where the rest of us who are not prepared will not. [00:04:46] And I got to say it again. [00:04:48] You all better be prepared. [00:04:50] Things are not getting easier at this moment.
