I Brought a Gift
00:06:36
|
|
| I brought something because David said in 2 Samuel 24 verse 24, I will ask of nothing that doesn't cost me something. | |
| So when you text me and said, the Holy Spirit, you said, do you want to join me next week? | |
| And I froze. | |
| And I go, God, why would you use me? | |
| Why would you let me go sit with Philip Cameron? | |
| He's my hero, what they've done in Moldova. | |
| And then Jim Baker, if I tell the story of what happened in 1995. | |
| You need to tell it. | |
| You need to tell it because. | |
| I brought a gift. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because I will ask of nothing that doesn't cost me something. | |
| I was a youth pastor at the time at an amazing church. | |
| We saw a revival break out. | |
| And our pastor brought all the staff to Phoenix, Arizona to Pastor Barnett's church. | |
| And I've since then preached there, did youth conventions there, all that kind of stuff. | |
| I'm sitting in the left-hand balcony. | |
| 1995. | |
| 1995, February, pastor's school, sitting in the balcony at Pastor Barnett's school, all of our pastoral staff. | |
| We were leading a very large youth ministry at the time, one of the most on fire. | |
| But I was miserable. | |
| Because God will just take you through a place where you're going, number one, where he just begins to crush you like an olive to get the anointing oil out of you. | |
| There's people, this restoration marathon is all about those gods that God's been waiting to use. | |
| And it feels like your anointing has been put on hold. | |
| So this is about, I believe we're going to raise $5 million for this vision in the next few days. | |
| I really believe that. | |
| I believe that there is... | |
| And I think we'll see some of that tonight. | |
| But sitting in the balcony. | |
| And all of a sudden, at Pastor's school, Pastor Barnett. | |
| Over 10,000 pastors in this moment. | |
| You got to understand, it's not a coincidence. | |
| It wasn't told to us. | |
| Nobody knew. | |
| Nobody knew. | |
| Trust me, nobody knew. | |
| Two or three people, maybe. | |
| Over 10,000 pastors at Pastor's School is probably one of the biggest events for First Assembly of God. | |
| Tommy Bartonet, one of the greatest evangelists and pastors, pastors of pastors. | |
| I had spent four days at that conference or three days at that conference. | |
| You know, when God gets ready to really use you, he's got to work those devils out of you. | |
| He's got to get you to dance where others have died. | |
| He's got to help you realize that where you should have died is not a tombstone. | |
| It's a milestone. | |
| And God begins to take you and pull stuff out of you. | |
| And I'm sitting there feeling insecure, you know, loud, insecure. | |
| And all of a sudden, Jim Baker came walking down the aisle. | |
| Wow. | |
| Having not been out of prison for that long. | |
| And I had watched him as a boy. | |
| We grew up on PTL watching PTL. | |
| I'm sitting there. | |
| And there wasn't a dry eye in the entire building. | |
| Because God's a God of restoration. | |
| Oh, don't throw dirt on a man God's not done with yet. | |
| Just study Elijah's or Elisha's bones. | |
| We'll find that out. | |
| He had one more miracle left. | |
| But all of a sudden, as he walks on stage and his son, Jay, is on there. | |
| And I'm sitting there as a young youth pastor. | |
| I'm 47 today, so that'll tell you how young I was. | |
| And all of a sudden, he begins to tell the story. | |
| And I start crying because I loved ministry more than my family. | |
| I had dreams bigger than loving my kids. | |
| I looked over at my wife and I began to repent right then because Pastor Jim told the story of pictures in prison being sent to him. | |
| I could see it of Jay walking behind him when they were walking the grounds. | |
| I ran out. | |
| You know, this is before cell phones. | |
| If you had a cell phone, it was like a size of a keyboard. | |
| It was saved by the bell big. | |
| And all of a sudden I ran out and I called my wife, or I called my son. | |
| He's only four. | |
| And that's, I'm sorry. | |
| I've not been a good daddy. | |
| But I changed this today. | |
| I'm in ministry today because Jim Baker was willing to throw his flesh on the altar and walk in front of 10,000 people. | |
| Since that point, we've seen over 10,000, or excuse me, we've seen over 2 million come to Christ. | |
| But what I want you to understand is I brought a gift because right when you text me and said, you want to come, and the Lord gave me that prophetic word that he was not done, that they're going to see an army rise up out of this place and the way they stood during the election and all the attacks. | |
| So we're taking altars. | |
| Now, the altar isn't a piece of wood. | |
| It's in your home, in your car. | |
| But the Lord said, bring an altar. | |
| And I'll talk about it tonight because after famine, Ezra, Nehemiah, Elijah, he gave me the pattern. | |
| After famine, you build an altar. | |
| We've been in eight years of famine in America. | |
| When you build the altar, the fire comes, then the whisper, then the rain. | |
| You can see that with Elijah, Nehemiah, you know, Amos. | |
| There's a famine in the land for the word of the Lord. | |
| And then all of a sudden it says God stands at the altar, reaper overtakes plowman. | |
| Elijah goes, after the rain comes, you have to anoint the farmers. | |
| God's about to raise up farmers. | |
| So the pattern for true revival in America is you must have famine. | |
| So if you've had famine, if you've been broke, if you've gone through these seasons, here comes the rain, the cloud the size of a man's hand. | |
| Then, then, it must happen. | |
| Then, then, we got to anoint some farmers. | |
| Elisha, that's been out in the field doing the same thing every day and God's saying, come here. | |
| But I brought this, and I'll leave this alone. | |
| I brought this as a gift because David said, I will ask of nothing that doesn't cost me something. | |
| I said, Lord, what can I take to Jim Baker and Lori Baker? | |
| The Lord said, take him an altar. | |
| So my staff, we had this built, and it just says souls, because this is the year of souls. | |
| And there's a plaque on the end talking about today. | |
| And I know that they're on sabbatical. | |
| But there's a plaque on there today that because I want to prophesy something over this. | |
| Revival is coming to a network. | |
|
Revival Is Coming
00:00:32
|
|
| And I believe with all my heart revival is coming through this network. | |
| And today, from Lori's house, oh, there's no such thing as an illegitimate child, just illegitimate parents. | |
| And from Lori's house will come the mighty. | |
| Corey Tinboon, I believe it was, flew over the property. | |
| Yes, she did. | |
| And told the pilot to land. | |
| Yes. | |
| This is going to be a revival land. | |
| There's an army coming out of the grounds. | |
| I'm done. | |
