Jim Bakker Show - Consequences for Trying to Divide Israel - Michael Snyder Aired: 2017-01-20 Duration: 05:45 === God's Centerpiece: Israel (02:20) === [00:00:00] Why does God, can I say God gets upset, why does God get so upset when we, as a nation, go to a meeting or any event that tries to divide Israel or we vote to separate their land? [00:00:22] Yeah. [00:00:22] Well, Israel is the center of God's prophetic timepiece. [00:00:26] And, you know, as Americans, we tend to be focused on the United States. [00:00:28] We think we're the center of the world. [00:00:30] But to God, the center of the world is Israel, always has been and always will be. [00:00:34] In fact, I've shared on a previous show how the names of the tribes of Israel will actually be inscribed on the gates of heaven. [00:00:39] That's how much God thinks of Israel. [00:00:41] So to God, Israel is always at the center of his plan. [00:00:44] And his plan for the last days, as we see, Jesus is coming back to Israel. [00:00:49] He's going to reign from Israel. [00:00:50] He's going to reign from Jerusalem. [00:00:52] So, and God, throughout the scriptures, there's all kinds of titles related to God, related to Israel and related to Jerusalem. [00:00:58] And so he's the God of Jerusalem. [00:01:00] It's the city of God. [00:01:01] It's his city. [00:01:02] It's where Jesus, in fact, at one point in the scriptures, God says, it's where I've chosen to put my name. [00:01:08] And so, you know, to God, this is right at the center of everything. [00:01:12] And he said, don't divide my land. [00:01:14] This is my land. [00:01:14] I've given it to Israel forever and ever. [00:01:17] But the people of the world, this is the land they want to divide. [00:01:21] And the only city in the world they want to divide is Jerusalem. [00:01:24] Out of all the cities in the world, this is the city they've chosen to divide. [00:01:27] But God has, we've seen this pattern, and we've talked about this on previous shows, Pastor Jim. [00:01:32] Ever since we started doing this, taking steps toward the division of the land of Israel, God has always kind of hit us right away saying, don't do that. [00:01:40] For example, the last time there was an anti-Israel resolution at the U.N. Security Council that the U.S. government didn't veto was in 1979. [00:01:48] March 22nd, 1979, Jimmy Carter let an anti-Israel resolution go through. [00:01:54] So nothing happened for four days immediately. [00:01:57] One, two, three, four, four days passed, nothing happened. [00:01:59] March 26, 1979, the Egypt-Israel peace treaty was signed in Washington, D.C. We've seen that footage. === George H.W. Bush's Peace Plan (03:39) === [00:02:07] You know, Jimmy Carter was there. [00:02:09] Everyone was so happy. [00:02:10] Two more days, nothing happened. [00:02:11] Then we get to March 28th, 1979. [00:02:16] And we had a little incident called Three Mile Island. [00:02:18] If you're an old-timer, you remember Three Mile Island. [00:02:20] Don't you? [00:02:21] It was the worst nuclear power plant disaster in all of history up to that time or ever since. [00:02:26] So God was saying, hey, I don't like this. [00:02:29] But did we learn? [00:02:30] No. [00:02:31] You know, nothing, fortunately, under Ronald Reagan, he had sense. [00:02:35] But then we get to George H.W. Bush. [00:02:37] And he said, hey, let's try to divide the land of Israel. [00:02:39] So he got the Israelis and the Palestinians together for the very first time, other surrounding Arab nations. [00:02:44] They all gathered in Madrid, Spain, for this Madrid peace conference. [00:02:48] And President George Herbert Walker Bush went over there to open the conference and give an address. [00:02:55] And in that address, in the New York Times, it says that he told the Israelis, hey, territorial compromise is essential for peace. [00:03:01] In other words, if you want peace, you've got to divide the land. [00:03:04] The very next day, the New York Times reported that the perfect storm where three storms came together in the North Atlantic form a gigantic once-in-a-generation, once-in-a-lifetime superstorm went 1,000 miles the wrong direction, made a beeline for Kennebunkport, Maine. [00:03:19] Do you remember that? [00:03:20] And George Herbert Walker Bush's family home sat 35-foot waves crashing into the home, dragging out his furniture. [00:03:27] It was on the front page of the New York Times the very next day after it reported about how he had gone over to Spain to open this conference. [00:03:34] So he obviously didn't learn the lesson. [00:03:37] Now, let's hit a third president, because let's talk about five presidents really quick. [00:03:40] There's actually dozens and dozens and dozens of these examples, but just to give you a few highlights, Bill Clinton, he tried to divide the land of Israel a whole bunch of times. [00:03:48] But at one particular time, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu came over and he came for a visit. [00:03:54] And the Clintons were very upset with him because he didn't want to divide the land. [00:03:58] And so he came over. [00:03:59] He was very coldly received. [00:04:00] In fact, Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, they didn't even want to have lunch with him. [00:04:05] And so, you know, Netanyahu wasn't happy about that. [00:04:08] But that exact day, a scandal broke involving a young lady named Monica Lewinsky. [00:04:15] And from that point forward, the Clinton presidency was never the same. [00:04:20] So, did we learn our lesson? [00:04:22] No. [00:04:22] Next president comes in, George W. Bush. [00:04:25] George W. Bush, he wants to divide the land of Israel too. [00:04:28] So he convinces the people of Israel, the Israeli government. [00:04:31] He's saying, hey, if we pull all the settlers out of Gaza, you'll finally have peace. [00:04:36] And we've seen, has that worked out? [00:04:37] Of course not. [00:04:38] But that's what he convinced them to do at the time. [00:04:40] So they pulled the last of the settlers out. [00:04:42] August 23rd, 2005. [00:04:44] The New York Times reported the very last of the settlers were pulled out. [00:04:47] On that exact day, a storm called Katrina started forming over the Bahamas, grew immensely powerful. [00:04:54] We know the rest of the story. [00:04:55] Went and slammed into New Orleans, and that city has never recovered ever since, up to this time. [00:05:02] So you would think Barack Obama would see all these examples and would have some sense. [00:05:05] No. [00:05:06] 2011, Barack Obama gives a major speech telling Israel, hey, Israel, you've got to return to the pre-1967 borders. [00:05:14] None of that other land belongs to you. [00:05:15] East Jerusalem doesn't belong to you. [00:05:17] So he gives this speech. [00:05:18] Three days later, a half-mile-wide tornado, and it was the costliest tornado in all of U.S. history, half a mile wide, EF5 on the rating scale, ripped through Joplin, Missouri, absolutely devastating that city. [00:05:34] And apparently there was a lot of wickedness and stuff going on in that city, surprisingly, I found out later. [00:05:39] But that was just three days later. [00:05:42] And I've just given you five examples from five different presidents.
