Jim Bakker Show - Seven Global Shifts - Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis Aired: 2017-01-19 Duration: 02:41 === Seven Global Shifts (02:21) === [00:00:00] The National Intelligence Council, you've said that they anticipate seven global shifts. [00:00:11] What might the seven global shifts be? [00:00:16] We're seeing, you know, they begin in their analysis, much like I do, with the megatrends. [00:00:23] I'm pulling out my notes so I don't make sure I lose any of these. [00:00:27] And they talk about, you know, game changers and what the world is evolving to. [00:00:32] But I look at, for instance, the growth of the middle class. [00:00:37] I look at the advancement of technologies, which we've alluded to today. [00:00:44] We look at the widespread aging of the West. [00:00:46] Now, what does that mean? [00:00:49] Because the United States and Western Europe becoming older, that's encouraging immigration, immigration from poor, less developed countries, because we need working people. [00:01:00] That's what Angela Merkel called for, and they ended up getting 1.5 million people out in the Middle East and North Africa. [00:01:10] And so that's going to change the demographics of our country. [00:01:14] It's going to change the demographics a lot. [00:01:16] Urbanization. [00:01:17] Today, we find that we're becoming more of an urbanized world. [00:01:24] In 1800, there was one city in the world that had a million people. [00:01:28] That was Beijing. [00:01:29] In the year 2000, there were, what, 378 cities that had a million. [00:01:37] By the year 2025, which isn't long, we're going to have over 600. [00:01:42] Now, at some point, you know, in the next 15, 20 years, you know, 60% of the world is going to live in cities. [00:01:50] And in places like Africa, 85% of people are going to live in cities. [00:01:54] That has resource implications. [00:01:57] It has pandemic implications. [00:02:00] It has implications for the spread of ideologies. [00:02:04] And it also has, when you have combat, as a warrior, I look at how difficult it is to fight in cities. === People Going In All Sorts (00:33) === [00:02:13] Technology, all of these implications. [00:02:16] So we deal with that. [00:02:18] Certainly, U.S. energy independence is critical. [00:02:22] I see a non-traditional spiritual movements are really skyrocketing. [00:02:27] People going in all sorts of bizarre directions. [00:02:30] They're abandoning the faith of their fathers and of their mothers, and they're going in just freakish sorts of directions. [00:02:39] We see others.
