Know His Voice

| What would you tell the people today to be ready for these things, for martial law, for whatever happens, the earthquakes on the West Coast? | |
| Could you give me just a couple things from your years of wisdom? | |
| We must know his voice. | |
| Yes. | |
| You know, his sheep know his voice, and they follow him because they know his voice. | |

| But, you know, I think I've been saying this for decades, but you know, harping on something, angels harp. | |
| So it's important that we do that sometimes. | |
| We've got to know his voice for ourselves. | |
| And, you know, now we're paying a high price. | |
| Most people, we won't know until eternity just how much harder our lives were because we didn't know his voice and didn't follow his voice. | |
| We made wrong turns, bad decisions, little things. | |
| But as we get closer and closer to the end, it's going to be life and death that we hear from him. | |
| Don't go down this road. | |
| Go down this one. | |
| And we experienced that in a major way in a lot of the disasters in Haiti. | |
| If you went down a road, you were going to die. | |
| I'm talking after the Haiti earthquake. | |
| You make a wrong turn down the wrong road, you will die. | |
| And because of the gangs and everything, it's something we must know his voice. | |
| I can't emphasize that enough. | |
| But the only way you get to know the voice of someone, you've got to be with them. | |
| I can describe my wife's voice to you technically. | |
| And you may know all the technical details of her voice, decimal, everything, but you couldn't distinguish her voice from anybody else's if you heard it. | |
| That's right. | |
| They were close. | |
| But I know it. | |
| If she was in this room anywhere, I would instantly know she's right over there because we've been together so much. | |
| And I don't think there are any technical formulas for knowing the voice of the Lord. | |
| You've just got to be with him. | |
| You've got to have that relationship. | |
| You've got to be getting closer and closer to him. | |
| There is no other way. | |
| So he is the answer to every human problem. | |
| Being in his will, being with him, is the safest place we can ever be. | |
| And if it's our time, let's go home. | |
| Let's be happy. | |
| Right. | |
