Jim Bakker Show - Cascadia Fault: A Mega-Quake Is Overdue Aired: 2015-08-17 Duration: 02:26 === 30-Fold Earthquake Impact (02:25) === [00:00:00] All these things, the blood moons. [00:00:04] Forgive me, I'm jumping around a little bit, but have you read what the scientists are saying? [00:00:10] I turned on, when I was on the air, I was right over here, and I was teaching this generator. [00:00:15] And by the way, they'll be gone in a few days. [00:00:18] We had two ships come in almost back to back, and so they're all going to be gone again. [00:00:23] If you want the generator, the price has got to go up in a few weeks. [00:00:27] It just has to. [00:00:29] But I turned on the TV to demonstrate you can watch your big screen TV on this generator. [00:00:37] And there was one, it was Fox News, I believe, and the announcer was talking about the Pacific Northwest earthquake that the scientists now say could come at any minute. [00:00:56] That's right. [00:00:57] And it is, Zach, this is the big one. [00:01:01] It's over 9 points. [00:01:05] Yes. [00:01:05] Is that am I right, or am I just making this up? [00:01:08] In fact, it's the Cascadia fault. [00:01:10] In fact, I don't know if it's a very good thing. [00:01:11] You're so smart. [00:01:12] No, if you would actually, most people don't realize this, but you know, like they think of like 10 to the 5th power, 10 to the 6th power. [00:01:20] They think of earthquake numbering is that same way. [00:01:23] That's not true. [00:01:23] The difference between an earthquake of a 7.0 and an 8.0 is 30-fold. [00:01:29] The difference between a 7. [00:01:31] Which would be 300 times. [00:01:33] 30 times as strong. [00:01:34] It'd be 30 times as strong. [00:01:36] And so from a 7 to a 9 is 900 times stronger because the difference between a 7 and 8 is 30, and the difference between an 8 and a 9 is another 30-fold. [00:01:47] So it's 30-fold times 30-fold. [00:01:50] A 9 is so great. [00:01:51] In fact, it actually changed the tilt of the earth. [00:01:54] A 9 actually affects the tilt of the earth. [00:01:58] That's right. [00:01:59] You know, I actually have an article from Fox News that talks about this. [00:02:02] And it says, a new report predicts that a mega-earthquake could kill and destroy a sizable portion of the Pacific Northwest. [00:02:08] Even more disturbing, it's overdue. [00:02:11] The last one was more than 300 years ago, around the year 1700, when a quake there sent a 600-foot wave of water all the way to Japan. [00:02:19] You know, there's actually an expert, his name is Mr. Kaku, a physicist and professor at the City College of New York.
