Jim Bakker Show - Best of Times & the Worst of Times Aired: 2015-08-06 Duration: 07:24 === Arise, Shine (05:47) === [00:00:00] Amen. [00:00:00] Bobby, it's so good to have you back. [00:00:03] Tell me what's been happening. [00:00:06] It's been busy, but good. [00:00:08] Give me a good story. [00:00:09] Good. [00:00:09] Come on, give me a miracle. [00:00:11] What a time. [00:00:11] We've been too negative this week sometimes. [00:00:14] We've been going through some mud files. [00:00:16] And you don't want to stay in the month. [00:00:17] No, here it is. [00:00:18] Psalm 16:11. [00:00:20] In his presence, his fullness of joy. [00:00:22] At his right hand are pleasures forevermore. [00:00:24] I'll tell you, God wants us to learn to enjoy Jesus. [00:00:27] I'm telling you, we are facing dark days, but in the midst of it, God says he's going to cause us to rise and shine. [00:00:33] I'm telling you, it's going to be the best of times and the worst of times. [00:00:37] But I read the back of the book. [00:00:39] You and I win. [00:00:40] Oh, I'm telling you. [00:00:41] Wait a minute. [00:00:42] Yeah. [00:00:42] Say it again. [00:00:43] Yeah, I'll say it. [00:00:44] You said best of times and the worst of times. [00:00:46] See, come on. [00:00:47] You don't get it. [00:00:48] You got to get it. [00:00:48] This is it today. [00:00:50] You've got to have this. [00:00:51] Yeah, Bobby. [00:00:52] I'll tell you what. [00:00:52] People go, do you think we might be under judgment? [00:00:55] Absolutely. [00:00:56] We can't flaunt what we're doing in our nation and not have the judgment of God. [00:01:00] But in the midst of judgment, God will remember mercy. [00:01:03] Remember Habakkuk 3? [00:01:04] Oh, Lord, I heard your report and I was fearful. [00:01:06] But Lord, in your judgments, remember mercy. [00:01:10] I'm telling you, God is a God of mercy. [00:01:12] And He's going to have mercy on His people. [00:01:14] Oh, He's going to love His people. [00:01:16] He is going to love His people. [00:01:17] Do you really believe that it's harvest time coming? [00:01:20] I guarantee it's harvest time. [00:01:22] In this book, I wrote about it. [00:01:23] It's harvest time. [00:01:24] You wrote about it in the new shepherd's shepherd's rod. [00:01:28] Let me just explain a little bit about this. [00:01:30] This is our 20th year to do it. [00:01:32] 20th year to, on the day of atonement, we have this visitation from Jesus Christ. [00:01:36] He'll come tell me some of the things that's going to happen in the future. [00:01:38] I transcribed it in this book called the Shepherd's Rod. [00:01:41] I'll just read the little back flip. [00:01:43] Okay, here it is. [00:01:44] The Spirit of Truth is awakening and arousing a radical remnant of overcomers ready to contend for the faith, ready to challenge change and the course of the church, thus altering the culture in which we live. [00:01:57] We must function as salt and light in a contaminated culture to light the life of Christ. [00:02:04] And this occurs best when we become who God says we are. [00:02:07] We're called to be sons and daughters of the most high God. [00:02:11] I'm telling you, God is going to show us who he is so we'll know who we are. [00:02:16] There's a word coming from heaven, and the word coming from heaven is going to come across the entire body of Christ and it's going to come like a tsunami. [00:02:23] And it's the word awestruck. [00:02:26] Get ready. [00:02:27] God said, This is the year he reintroduces himself to his people. [00:02:31] He told me, he said, the problem is, I get really loud, but I get so excited I could thread a sewing machine and it run him. [00:02:36] Oh, listen. [00:02:38] No, listen. [00:02:39] This is time to be excited, honestly. [00:02:42] I've never seen such a time as the church needs to rise and shine. [00:02:46] Remember Isaiah 60, verse 1 says, Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. [00:02:53] Deep, dense darkness will cover the nations, but the Lord's radiant light will be seen upon you. [00:02:58] Yes, it's going to get dark. [00:02:59] Remember, the Bible says it says, Prophet, prophet, watchman, watchman, what do you see? [00:03:04] He said, I see two strange things, night and light. [00:03:07] So we're living in a time when the dark is going to get darker, but the radical remnant is going to get brighter and brighter. [00:03:13] I read the back, listen, you and I are destined to win. [00:03:16] Romans 8:37 says, Yet amid all these things, we're super overcomers, absolutely invincible in Christ. [00:03:24] Isn't that true? [00:03:25] Yes. [00:03:26] I tell you, 1 John 4:4 says, Greater, superior in power and intellect is he that's in you than he that's in the world. [00:03:32] Look at your neighbor and say, We're more than conquerors, we're more than conquerors. [00:03:36] Say it like you mean it. [00:03:37] We're more than conquerors. [00:03:38] We're more than conquerors. [00:03:40] The Bible said, If God be for us, who can be against us? [00:03:43] And we're absolutely sure God is for us. [00:03:45] In this book, the Lord said, I'm going to cause my people to see my goodness in such a way they're awestruck. [00:03:53] He said, Tell my people, prepare to be surprised. [00:03:56] And here it is, Habakkuk 1:5. [00:03:58] It says, God will do a work in our day. [00:04:00] It'll be so marvelous, so magnificent, we barely can believe it. [00:04:04] It said, when the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, then were we like them that dreamed? [00:04:09] Then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue was singing. [00:04:12] Then said they among the heathen, the Lord has done great things for them. [00:04:16] God is going to do a work in our day in such a magnitude, even the heathen will go, did you see that? [00:04:22] God is up to something. [00:04:24] This is the time. [00:04:25] This is the time God answers the hiss of the heathen. [00:04:28] The heathen have been mocking the church. [00:04:30] The media and the heathen, they're going, ha, where is your God? [00:04:34] Well, this is the year he answers it. [00:04:36] This is Psalms 115, verse 3. [00:04:38] It says, God is going to be mighty in the midst of his people. [00:04:42] So God is going to answer the hiss. [00:04:43] Where is your God? [00:04:44] He's going to be mighty in the midst of his people. [00:04:46] I'm telling you, God is going to rise up in you. [00:04:49] It's time for the eagles of God to soar and the lions of God to roar. [00:04:54] You believe that? [00:04:55] See, soar and roar. [00:04:56] Say it. [00:04:57] Soar and roar. [00:04:58] We're to soar into the heavenlies and we're to roar in this earth. [00:05:01] Amos 3, 8 says, A lion has roared in the streets. [00:05:05] Who can but prophesy? [00:05:06] I'll tell you, yes, Jesus was a lamb, but he's the lion now. [00:05:11] Say the lion. [00:05:12] I'm telling you guys, we're going to find out there's a conflict going on, but we're super victorious. [00:05:18] I'll tell you where we are prophetically. [00:05:20] We're right smack dab in the book of Jude. [00:05:22] We're in the book of Jude. [00:05:23] Remember, Jude said, I picked up my pen to write to you. [00:05:26] I was going to write to you concerning the common salvation, not common in everyday, but common in Hebrews 6:1, the elementary rudimentary principles of Christianity. === Stand Up and Roar (01:51) === [00:05:34] But it says in the Bible, I got possessed. [00:05:37] I was overcome. [00:05:38] I was under compulsion to write to you, the saints of God, that you would earnestly contend for the faith. [00:05:43] This is not a time to roll over and play dead. [00:05:46] This is a time to stand up and roar. [00:05:48] We've got to contend for the faith because it says, Certain men have crept in unawares, teaching the saints of God. [00:05:54] It doesn't matter how you live. [00:05:55] Live however you want to. [00:05:56] I'm here to tell you, it does matter how you live. [00:05:59] Now, I've got a warning for all the preachers. [00:06:01] I got a warning for all the preachers. [00:06:03] Now, listen to me. [00:06:04] The Lord came to me. [00:06:05] He said, the biggest battlefront is going to be for truth. [00:06:09] He gave me Proverbs 23, 23. [00:06:12] Proverbs 23, 23 says, pay the price for truth and don't sell it for anything. [00:06:17] Pay the price for truth. [00:06:19] What are you talking about? [00:06:20] Truth is going to be very costly. [00:06:23] When we start telling the truth about the truth, and we start telling the truth about same-sex marriages, we start telling the truth about ordaining homosexuals to the ministry. [00:06:32] It's going to be costly. [00:06:33] But I'm telling you guys, we better get back into this book. [00:06:36] Our problem is we're way too conscious of trying to be politically correct. [00:06:43] And we're selling out biblical accuracy for political correctness. [00:06:47] And now listen, God's going to hold us accountable for that. [00:06:50] So preachers, pay the price for truth and don't sell it for anything. [00:06:53] Why is truth so costly? [00:06:55] We cannot sanctify the saints of God apart from truth. [00:06:59] John 17, 17 says, sanctify them through the truth. [00:07:03] Thy word is truth. [00:07:04] We can't clean up the saints and set them apart for the services of God if we're devoid of the truth. [00:07:09] And I'm telling you guys, we need to tell the truth about the truth. [00:07:13] It says, you'll know the truth in what? [00:07:14] The truth will set you free. [00:07:16] It says, who the son sets free is free indeed. [00:07:20] Oh, the word indeed is a courtroom term. [00:07:22] It means irrevocable. [00:07:23] When you're free, you're free.
