Jim Bakker Show - Timing of the Antichrist Aired: 2015-02-12 Duration: 05:31 === Astonishing Questions (02:24) === [00:00:00] Daniel, he wanted to know what was going on, so he asked the question, even though he was told it was sealed. [00:00:06] He said, How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled? [00:00:11] What are the astonishing things he's asking about? [00:00:15] We'll go back and start reading in verse 1. [00:00:18] It says there will be a time of distress, great tribulation, and leading up to a time when the saints will be delivered, those that are alive and those that are asleep. [00:00:29] So, what is the question? [00:00:31] How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled? [00:00:36] From the beginning of the time of distress until the time of deliverance. [00:00:41] How long? [00:00:42] And you know what? [00:00:44] From eons, people would read this and we didn't get it. [00:00:47] We didn't see the answer. [00:00:48] It was right there. [00:00:50] Because two verses down, it says, It will be for a time, times, and half a time. [00:00:59] When the power of God's people has been finally broken, we've been defeated after 42 months. [00:01:08] All these things will be completed. [00:01:10] You know, that's plain speak. [00:01:13] That's plain speak. [00:01:14] If you don't get it, you need to read it again. [00:01:18] He's asking, How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled? [00:01:23] The subject was time of distress up to a time of deliverance, and he says it will be for 42 months. [00:01:33] Well, then Daniel asks another question. [00:01:38] It's like, God, I didn't quite get it. [00:01:40] Let me ask you another question. [00:01:42] I mean, he's fishing for answers here. [00:01:45] Because listen to this. [00:01:47] He says, I heard, but I did not understand. [00:01:50] So I asked, my Lord, what will the outcome of all this be? [00:01:57] Now, you know, I checked a couple other translations, and one of the translations says, What will be the end of all these things? [00:02:06] And his answer was, he replied, Go your way, Daniel, because the words are sealed. === Three and a Half Years (03:21) === [00:02:12] But then you look down two more verses, and the answer is there. [00:02:16] Because it says, from the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished, we saw that in Daniel 9:27. [00:02:25] That a covenant would be made at the end of three and a half years that he would cancel the covenant and he would desecrate the temple. [00:02:34] So it says, from the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, this is three and a half years into the tribulation based on Daniel 9:27. [00:02:50] It says, there will be 1,290 days. [00:02:56] You add that up, that's just barely short of three and a half years. [00:03:02] Well, now, I want to tie this now to Matthew 24. [00:03:07] Because what I want to read to you is Daniel 12, verse 1 or 2. [00:03:15] It's actually the second part of verse 1. [00:03:18] Listen to this. [00:03:21] There will be a time of distress such as not happened from the beginning of nations until then. [00:03:32] Shall not happen from the beginning of nations until this time. [00:03:37] And then what is this time it's talking about? [00:03:40] The time when those that will awake from sleep and those that are alive will be delivered. [00:03:48] So Daniel is saying, there will be a time of distress such as not happened from the beginning of nations. [00:03:57] Now let's go to Matthew. [00:03:59] That's right. [00:03:59] Because what are we seeing in Matthew? [00:04:03] Number one, Jim just already covered this, but his disciples were asking him, tell us, what will be the happen? [00:04:11] What will be the sign of your coming in the end of the age? [00:04:14] And he goes over and he says wars and famines and earthquakes. [00:04:19] Literally, he's going down through the seals of Revelation and the times at which we're in right now. [00:04:25] And then listen to this. [00:04:27] He says, so when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of, listen to this, spoken of through the prophet Daniel. [00:04:38] That's right. [00:04:39] We just covered this in Daniel. [00:04:41] That's right. [00:04:42] And he's saying, you're going to see this. [00:04:44] And now look, I'm going to skip down to verse 21. [00:04:46] Listen to this. [00:04:49] For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now, never to be equaled again. [00:05:01] This time of distress that Daniel 12 is talking about, literally leading into the deliverance of the saints, is being repeated right here in Matthew 24. [00:05:13] And Jesus hasn't come back yet. [00:05:16] Exactly. [00:05:18] This is the thing that you've got to understand and know the timing. [00:05:23] This is like Daniel, he's referring to Daniel as Matthew 24, 15. [00:05:30] Yes.
