We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in.
Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want.
We think too much, feel too little.
More than machinery, we need humanity.
We know the air is unfit to breathe, and our food is unfit to eat.
As if that's the way it's supposed to be.
We know things are bad, worse than bad.
They're crazy.
You've got to say, I'm a human being.
God damn it.
My life has value.
You have meddled with the primal forces of nature.
Don't give yourselves to brutes.
Men who despise you, enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think, or what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fire.
Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men.
Machine men with machine minds and machine hearts.
And who loves you and who do you love?
Hey, everybody, Jason Burmes here.
Owen Schroer Resigns00:15:06
And yesterday afternoon, I started getting tagged in what has now become a national news story.
And we're going to show you some of those headlines in a moment.
But I was being tagged in posts from Owen Schroer live via his X account, I believe.
I'm not sure if he was streaming anywhere else, resigning from InfoWars.
Okay.
And I got to be honest, I watched probably, and I was in and out because I want to say I was in the car for some of it, maybe even doing some dishes.
Watched, you know, about the first hour, hour and a half.
I think before he started taking calls, he didn't mention taking calls.
I did not watch after that.
However, since then, not only has it become a national media story, but Alex Jones spent a large portion of his broadcast talking about it and giving his side of the story.
I want to be clear out of the gates.
This is not going to be a broadcast where I take sides or even really give an opinion on what I think either of them think about one another or the situation.
And that's why they're not in the thumbnail.
And that's why they're not in the title.
And instead, you are seeing Mr. Mackey and Clive in the thumbnail.
Because if you've been watching South Park this season, and I'm not even saying it's an incredible season, it's like one episode every two weeks.
There's a lot of low-hanging fruit with Trump, in my opinion, kind of parroting the whole Saddam Hussein in bed with Satan, small penis stuff.
I'm not going to lie.
I do laugh some of the time, but I don't know.
This season hasn't been completely politically charged.
One thing that did really resonate with me, however, is in the second episode where everybody was sharing that meme of Cartman looking like Charlie Kirk, right?
If you didn't watch that episode, that was almost the backstory to the fact that, number one, they were talking about the economy.
And Mr. Mackey, he gets fired and he's just looking for work so he can make that nut.
He has to give me that, give me that, give me that nut.
And what is that nut?
That's your rent.
That's your electric.
That's your car payment if you have one.
That's your gas.
That's your food for the month.
That's the basics.
And Clyde, who got like $60 in bills a month, that's his nut, has started this podcast.
And basically, he's talking about how, in order to make it, he basically hates doing the podcast.
And he doesn't believe what he's saying.
And he's just doing it to make money.
Okay.
Now, I've often, you know, from the outside looking in, I've had people, you know, come at me like that.
Oh, you just say these things, especially way before podcasting existed, before really internet streaming was a thing back when Netflix would send you a DVD.
All the way back in the loose change days, there were many people that would try to frame what I and the others were doing as some kind of a cottage industry grift and that we only did this because we were trying to make money.
I've never been that way.
In fact, it's quite the opposite.
All right.
And one of the things I constantly talk about in this arena is how it is very difficult to make a day-to-day living in alternative media.
And that's one of the reasons, you know, when I have a paying gig, as I've had in the past, in like the past few years, very lucky with the likes of RVM, with Today's News Talk, with Patriot.tv, right?
When those were paying gigs, you didn't hear me all the time saying, hey, I need your support.
It was passing.
And now I've got to do it and I hate doing it.
But the alternative is so much worse to me.
And we're going to get into that alternative.
I actually had this kind of pseudo-job interview.
I don't want to give too much of it away out of respect, but it was one of the things that I was just thinking about.
And it reminded me of this whole situation because at the end of the day, one of the things that Troyer did talk about, and I don't know whether it's true, I know that Jones talked about money as well.
It is the fact that like he was living paycheck to paycheck at this point.
And I don't want to misquote anybody.
And again, I'm not taking sides here.
I think Jones quoted him at like 80K a year or something like that.
Even at that, and I wish I could get back to that, because when I did have two shows at a time, we were actually over that doing pretty well.
Even at that right now, if you have a family, my God, you know, and I'm not making anywhere near, like, I'm kicking, screaming, and scraping, not even to make half of that right now.
And I want to change it.
But when you're in this media sphere, you know, and this is the like opening monologue point here, okay?
It doesn't get much bigger than InfoWars, does it?
Right?
And do they have a 24-hour news network?
No.
I had a discussion with Adam Riva after our broadcast the other day with Dauntless Dialogue, who's doing it on his own.
Very hard for him to do that on his own.
It's just like kicking, screaming, scratching, just making it if you're able to make it.
I'm going to talk about some other people doing that as well.
But then you have like this other side of everything, right?
Like the Blaze, for instance, Alex Stein.
You know, I just saw Alex have sort of a meltdown.
God bless you, Alex, where he was, I think, substitute hosting for Tim Poole.
I guess Tim was sick.
Tim is one of those rare individuals that is able to say and do what he wants, run the operation.
You know, he's had the reads and all those other things.
He has the audience for it.
Okay.
And, you know, we can sit here and talk about audiences and money and all that other stuff.
Even the ones with the huge audiences that aren't even alternative media, like Daily Wire, right?
They have financial troubles.
What do you think like a mom and pop shop trying to jump into the arena and be honest that can't get social media traction that's not pay to play is?
And this opens up everything to so many questions, right?
As to who is beholden to what.
And that is why, baseline, you don't, you know how many times I get offered promo codes?
Promo codes?
I never want to use them.
They create such a hassle for me because, number one, I'm not trying to sell anybody anything but the truth.
And by sell it, that means zero dollars for you.
You're watching the material I'm putting out.
You're hearing my opinion on it.
I'm trying to sell you on the idea to look at that material, hear my viewpoint, and then use your critical thinking to either agree, disagree, have a nuanced opinion.
That's what I want to do.
You know, if you watched the recent broadcast where I'm in this, you know, debate about black box voting and mail-in ballots, and I bit my tongue for a while.
But when I talked, I think I had something to say and I backed it up.
I showed people.
I want to be in the research arena.
I would love to get back in the documentary film arena.
But even that arena right now, and I'm not knocking all documentaries or whatever.
It seems like the ones that are promoted are kind of not only the partisan ones, but the ones that have this snarky, humoristic edge to them, right?
Like what is a woman?
I tried to watch What is a Woman.
I know so many people, you know, were into it.
And I just got to the point where in the very beginning, where he's in that circular group and he just keeps interrupting and interrupting and interrupting.
And I get it, the shock values there, and I'm laughing and I'm laughing.
What am I learning that I don't already know?
If I am already a critical thinker, what, that this person's totally insane?
That this viewpoint is totally insane.
Don't get me wrong, it has entertainment value, but I'm trying to bring something new to the table.
There's a reason we were talking about DARPA and Barty yesterday.
There's a reason that we had Bernie Sanders say whatever he wanted and let you decide.
Okay.
And that is something I think that he's lost in a lot of alternative media.
We're going to go over some of the headlines.
I'm going to talk about not just the financial aspects of alternative media because I don't want to harp too hard on them, but in many cases, why some of these breakups of even the biggest ones aren't the worst things in the world.
They're not.
We have to look at everything with a grain of salt.
And, you know, that's why I've never played team baseball.
Right.
And even when I've disagreed with Jones or an InfoWars opinion, that happens a ton, right?
It's not like I'm attacking them.
Same with the Gateway Pundit, something like that.
I love, love, love, love having, you know, Hoft on Joe Hoft, right?
Like, he's a great guy.
I may not agree with him all the time, but Joe Hoft is somebody that I respect and I like.
Truthstream Media, which we're going to get into, they come out of InfoWars.
And if you see people like myself, them, David Knight, who's kind of been mentioned in this fiasco, I check their stuff out.
I have respect for their work, right?
So we're going to get into all that in a moment.
Let's thumbs it up, subscribe, share.
I know there's also a lot of people out there that don't think there's a possibility for some kind of like a reconciliation between Owen and Alex.
Like I said, I'm not taking sides.
I would just say that there is that possibility.
And I'm going to play some fun footage at the end of towards the end of the broadcast of Joe Rogan being portrayed as a sneaky snake by Alex.
I think like six plus years ago.
And a lot of people forget about that.
So look, K-Sara, Sira.
I want everybody to be friends.
I got nothing but love in my heart.
And I know that a lot of you do too.
If you can, please consider supporting the broadcast.
Let me go down the line.
You did come out and support yesterday.
Thank you.
Thank you.
X coincidences.
In fact, let's bring their account up.
Maybe you want to give it a follow, everybody.
They're supporting the broadcast.
There it is right there, exploring the coincidences.
Thank you so much.
Someone, Kelly, someone and Costello.
Again, I cannot do this without you.
I am going to be going down to turning the tide.
It is my honor to be hosting on 9-11, the 24th anniversary in D.C.
We got a couple family members of the victims there that day.
Matt Campbell, Bob McElvain, Luke Radowski, my good friend, is going to be there.
And then you look at the all-star lineup of featured speakers: U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, former rep Kurt Weldon, who brought out the Abel Danger stuff with Tony Schaefer and others.
Dennis Kucinich, John Keriako, the CIA whistleblower, and Clayton Morris, who, God love him, has really drawn a lot of attention to 9-11 Truth in the modern times.
I want to thank River City Reader, RCReader.com, an independent media operation run by my friend Todd McGreevy.
I write for that sometimes.
You might want to check it out.
But if you are buying or selling a business, see, I don't have to show for this.
You know, I didn't sign any paperwork.
Todd just likes supporting the broadcast.
So he supported the broadcast.
And now I'm like, you know what?
I know that you have a whole, he has a whole independent media operation right here.
It used to be weekly, then bi-weekly.
Now it's every single month.
And again, You read this stuff, it is cutting-edge, liberty-minded for decades, on the ground, real journalism.
And the real job is buying and selling businesses.
So, if you're buying one, if you're selling one, you need a little help, Ski and Hutch, marigoldresources.com.
Let's check it out.
All right, so let's go over the headlines: MAGA Rising Star kicked off of InfoWars for turning against Trump.
Now, that's a sensationalist headline.
The MAGA Rising Star is accused of the ultimate sin, and it's hash, it's in quotations, MAGA bickers.
I'm so glad that I was never make America great again.
That doesn't mean that I was Trump derangement syndrome either.
And believe me, a lot of you guys, especially with this or the TNT, I would have guessed that I didn't like, like, I didn't know I was interviewing Rudy Giuliani until about 24 hours before, not even, maybe, maybe a little less.
I think like 22 hours.
I'm Glad I Was Never "Make America Great Again00:03:59
That turned out to be a great interview.
I had Joel Pollack on the broadcast a couple times, chief editor over at Breitbart Bart, a total war hawk.
Total, we had a lot of disagreements.
We kept it civil.
You know, yet people were like, you're bought and paid for.
No, I was blessed to have a paying gig and being able to talk to people, actually talk to people that I vehemently disagreed with.
And when I agreed with some of their things, I would agree with some of their things, and then I would challenge others.
I got to sit there with Cornell West of all people.
And I really had that guy's ear.
Dinesh D'Souza is another one.
I want to talk to more people.
I want more insights, period.
You know, and I want more people to have those kind of discussions.
That's why I really like the Mario Nafal broadcast.
They're great.
So, InfoWar, this is after being branded too anti-Trump.
You know, that's the Newsweek headline.
And then this is probably, again, abruptly kicked off of show for turning anti-Trump.
And there's, there's Joe.
Look, let's talk.
Okay.
I'm rooting for Owen and I'm rooting for Alex.
If you just saw Project Veritas is continually putting out stuff, just put out new stuff.
They didn't die after O'Keefe.
We got O'Keefe, right?
Bannon, although imperfect, you know, in the war room, the other war room, he's out there where, you know, he was originally Breitbart and all that.
You know, breaking up is hard to do, but it happens.
Okay.
David Knight, he was mentioned a couple times.
I like David.
I think his stuff is absolutely worth following.
And, you know, please check his stuff out as well.
And then, of course, Truth Stream Media, who I love their stuff.
I'm glad there's more.
I hope you're glad my content is out there.
And if you think about it, there's others that I could have mentioned out of that InfoWars school.
There are just so many of us that have continued on in some regards.
Do we have the audience InfoWars does?
No.
But, you know, we have an audience.
And, you know, I like to think that I am able to affirm real change.
And that's that, you know, that brings me to this experience I recently had.
Now, again, I don't want to give away too much, but as a lot of you know, I'm looking for work.
I want to keep, I want to be on talk radio.
I'm not in love with television.
I do it.
Love this, right?
A lot of you guys know I'm doing the weekly segment for an hour on 1077 WQUD out here in the Midwest, station out of Illinois.
Remember, I'm in the quad cities, they border each other.
Fun times.
Wish it was a paid gig.
I'd love to turn it into a paid gig.
I took this interview thinking that I was going to be interviewed in some sort of a direction, either on air or off-air of something of that regard, or maybe part of a research team or another type of video project.
You know, I mean, that's what I've done for even when I left InfoWars.
And, you know, while I was putting out Shade the Motion Picture, my last documentary film, you know, I was working at a video department in Cooperstown.
I love this stuff.
I love being, I love making my own thumbnail.
I love all of it.
Okay.
Influencer Never Bourbon00:03:03
I get on, and instead, this is like a pitch for what felt like a multi-level marketing thing to bring in multi-channel networks into X.
So, in other words, I'm an influencer, and I'm not, I've never been an influencer.
I've never been a quote-unquote podcaster.
I hate all that shit.
Excuse my French.
Okay.
And I think a lot of you guys do too.
Okay.
I like reporting the news.
I do go on diatribes.
This is a reality rance type diatribe we've been on in this one.
Okay.
But they want me to use those skills to bring other people into this network.
And then we boost each other's posts, right?
Those networks already exist behind the scenes.
If you know what a multi-channel network is on YouTube, you actually give up some of your revenue so they represent you and try to boost you or, you know, take part.
So it would be similar to this.
And they also get you different types of promo codes to do ads for.
So the influencer circle to sell stuff.
And man, I'm so tempted to just, I think I have to tell you what the product that they wanted to work with was.
I just, it's so cartoon level, I almost don't want to bring it up.
But a lot of you guys know that I ran a bar and we're going to do this one live.
We'll do it live.
Okay.
We'll do it live.
Fuck it.
Do it live.
I'll write it and we'll do it live.
So I drink a little bourbon here and there, a little Kentucky bourbon, a little whiskey.
It's rare.
First of all, I don't drink at home and I usually just have beer when I go out.
If someone buys shots or if I'm buying shots and it's like an occasion or like a wedding, I'll have a little whiskey, a little bourbon.
And again, ran a bar, know the alcohol business.
The sponsorship, and again, like they want you to have a promo code for was tears of the left bourbon.
Now, I'm always trying to keep it not about left or right.
I don't give a rat's ass if you're a Democrat or a Republican.
Are you based in reality?
What are you like as a person?
And I've been adamant that I don't love dunking on any.
That's low-hanging fruit.
Why am I attacking my neighbor?
It's ridiculous.
Oh, it's part of the culture war, Jason.
Is that that's part of the culture war?
They asked me if I liked it.
And I go, well, I like bourbon.
First of all, I didn't get a bottle of it, so how would I know?
And again, I'm trying to build bridges and not burn them.
Remind Us of Reality00:03:39
And that's kind of where we're bringing this all around to.
I promised you, I promised you some old school video of the sneaky snake, Joe Rogan, Alex Jones encounter.
Because I want to remind people that things happen and people get upset and they say things and they do things.
But at the end of the day, reconciliations happen.
And especially in this media world that is extremely hard to make a living in, it just really is.
We need more voices, not less.
We need less conformity.
And we need to drive more dissidents where it matters so we can move the conversation in the right direction.
I give you Alex Jones and the sneaky snake, Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan is now in studio with us.
And let's do a Document Cam shot closer here, please.
He's going to be interviewed.
So it's like, hey, George Soros was on 60 Minutes and said he supported the Nazis.
No, he didn't.
George Soros cut Hitler's head off.
I'm a sneaky snake.
I mean, this is, this is what is, because here's the deal.
If you pay Joe enough money, if you're Cash Square and Jack Dorsey, which is all confirmed, it's all of the news now, the insider trading investigation is going on.
If you pay him, like you put coins into the snake, then the snake does whatever you want.
Oh, thanks, Alex.
Oh, yeah.
I'm a sneaky snake now.
Oh, I don't want a copyright.
And, you know, they don't love Jones on this platform, although that's where I am playing it from.
Again, I hope cooler heads prevail.
I like more voices, not less.
Ultimately, I think that this is also a lesson in the fact that alternative media is tough.
It ain't easy being green.
I miss some prime time Muppets.
I mean, when was the last?
They did make some pretty good Muppet movies and maybe the last like 15 years.
It's about time.
It's about time for like a Kermit adventure.
And let's not make it crazy, but there's plenty of real world material where we could make it for kids.
Maybe have like a little bit of commentary there.
Folks, I'll say it again.
I need you now more than ever.
That's not a joke.
That's not a lie.
I want to keep doing this, right?
I want to keep doing this.
I want to keep being Jason Burmes.
I want to keep talking to people.
I want to keep highlighting stories that you don't see everywhere, playing clips that aren't all across social media and just keep clones scratching my way through this reality that in many ways we all share, but in some instances, it seems like others don't.
So $5, $10, $15 means the world to me.
You want to be more anonymous?
You don't like to buy me a coffee?
The PayPal is down there as well.
I once again want to remind everybody, I'm going to be in DC.
If you can be in DC and help me turn the tide, I really hope that we can continue this momentum through the 24th anniversary into the 25th and make this a real issue again where I don't know if we get an independent investigation.
Turn the Tide in Public Opinion00:00:37
I don't know if we get massive declassification of documents.
I don't believe that we'll ever get, unfortunately, criminal accountability.
But the more that we can bring out the truth, which is ultimately the most important thing, the more we can turn the tide in the court of public opinion and hopefully shift our policy away from forever wars, away from imperialism, away from domestic track, trace database and beyond.
Because at the end of the day, guys, you know the drill.
