Nate Lewis of OURrescue.org comes on to discuss his work with Operation Underground Railroad and the upcoming July 4th release of the film "Sound Of Freedom" Show less
I am Jason Burmese and for the next hour, we're going to be exploring the dark world of human trafficking, especially with children.
Rrescue.org is doing some of the best work out there.
There's a new film coming along called Sound of Freedom.
To talk about, it is Nate Lewis.
After this, in just one week, the Sound Of Freedom opens up worldwide,
and it is shining light on the darkness that is human trafficking, especially involving children.
Now, this film is a tour de force.
It is doing so well amongst patriots and many people have already seen it in a sneak preview premiere and are giving rave reviews.
Here to discuss that film, how it came into fruition, how you can go out there and not only watch it, but tell other people about it and make this not only about a movie, but a movement is Nate Lewis of Operation Underground Railroad.
The site is rrescue.org.
Nate, thank you so much for joining us.
First off, how do you get involved with this organization?
How did I personally get involved?
Well, I spent two decades in Hollywood, close friends with Jim Caviesel, who plays Tim Ballard in the film.
We worked very closely for about a decade.
And, you know, I'd made a different move and direction in my career.
And he reached out to me.
He's like, come up to this movie, you know, that we're filming on location.
And I couldn't because there was Zika virus going on down there at the time.
And my wife and I were trying to get pregnant.
But I started to learn about Tim Ballard and Operation Underground Railroad and what they're doing.
And my wife and I just became fascinated with this work and kind of educated on the reality of the world and what's going on.
And it took me a little bit longer, but I eventually went down.
I was working for a company that had a very large following and I was hosting their shows.
And so I went down there and met Tim and met the team, which they're all amazing.
And I came home and started telling my wife and she saw something in my eye.
I was like, wait, do you want to go work for this company, don't you?
I was like, well, I'm thinking about it.
Should we talk about it?
And it took a couple of months.
And eventually I landed here at OUR.
And, you know, I took the job back then for certain reasons.
And looking back now, after almost three years, I realized there were so many more reasons for me to come here.
And I couldn't be more honored, I guess, and blessed to be doing what I do.
Well, obviously we need people like yourself to really go out there and not only talk about this, but be involved in the rescue of children.
And that's what makes this organization so unique.
As I understand it, you're a global traveler, been to over 40 countries.
How has that influenced your perspective on human trafficking?
Yeah, well, oh, a lot.
I've seen a lot of things.
Firsthand, I see how it's different in certain areas based on their economic situation, based on opportunity as well.
I think that has a lot to do with it.
But I also see it here in the United States.
It happens in a wide range.
Everybody knows slavery existed in the United States and around the world.
And it still does.
It's actually more slavery today than there's ever been.
And I think that people don't realize really what's going on.
Now it's advanced, right?
Now with this digital world and what's available for you out there and technology, it's taking a quick turn, to be honest with you.
Before it was, you know, you went to a brothel or to a fake spa or something like that.
And that's what everybody thinks happens, which still does, don't get me wrong.
But it's happening in different areas and it's happening on different levels, you know, how trafficking actually is happening.
And I don't know how much you want me to get into it, but, you know, we've seen the organ harvesting.
We have worked in that.
And we do currently work in, you know, some of this child sacrifice, which I've seen personally.
And it's probably one of the toughest things I've been a part of in my life.
But it's fast.
You know, there's a lot of trafficking going on around the world.
Well, when you talk about the sacrificial element, right?
A lot of people get lost.
A lot of people say, that's too much.
I can't believe that actually happens.
And I may have been one of those people many, many years ago until I came across the Franklin scandal in particular and John DeCamp's work.
And when I read that book, there were certain parts, I can only imagine what you've seen personally, where I put the book down.
I was deeply disturbed.
The imagery that was in my mind was something that I just couldn't handle at the moment.
And I wouldn't say that I was on the fence about the issue after that.
I thoroughly believed the victims and the police that had reported on it and actually had handwritten reports.
But when Nick Bryant followed that up with the Franklin scandal instead of the Franklin cover-up book and had this thick of a thesaurus in the back of sourced information, found more victims.
I was blown away.
And just recently in Utah, you had yet another case that had been investigated for several decades where now arrests were being made of prominent individuals in Utah that involved this SRA or satanic ritual abuse.
And not all of it, I guess, goes by the name Satanism, but it often does involve the abuse sexually and sometimes sacrifice of children.
Did you have a similar feeling that I did until you saw it firsthand?
Probably very similar, although, you know, I don't know to what degree, but when you see it in real life, it just solidifies.
Man, I know we have an hour here, so I'll go into a little more detail than I usually do.
But that was one of the most difficult and I don't know how to describe, but interesting experiences of my life.
You know, I was in Northern Africa for about three weeks.
And at this point, I was already pretty exhausted mentally and emotionally.
We're seeing girls who have attempted suicide with a bed sheet because she prayed that God would save her and then prayed for God to take her life.
And he wasn't doing it.
So she tried to take her own life.
And I'm seeing a lot of heavy stuff.
And I knew we were going to visit this home that helped survivors of child sacrifice.
And I wasn't quite sure I could handle it.
And what I didn't realize is that they brought me an incredible piece of hope.
These kids lit up, most of them that could.
Some of them, unfortunately, are unable to really speak or move because of the situation where their blood was literally drained from them and lack of oxygen to their brain, you know, caused some major damage to them.
You know, a girl Hope, who you can watch on our YouTube channel, she's just beautiful, smile, but unfortunately is paralyzed and deformed and in a terrible situation.
But, you know, most of these kids, you know, their laughter was echoing off the walls.
And even in their circumstance, you know, it's hard for us when we related to our circumstance, but their circumstance is related to their previous circumstance.
And They're still childlike.
They still have the wonder in their eye.
They still, you know, have this somewhat of innocence, somewhat.
And they brought me so much.
But at the same time, that night when I was in my hotel room trying to sleep, you know, I had so many emotions that shouldn't be happening at the same time occurring.
And, you know, I think I crossed over into a different level of, I don't know if it's called anger, but desire to really do something.
Like, you know, it was, it was disturbing.
I, I, number one, I couldn't imagine hurting another human being, but imagining what they did to these children is just hard to believe that a human could do that.
And personally, this is my personal opinion: I don't know how those people should be allowed to really continue to live.
And so it was important that we were able to track them down and at least put them behind bars.
And but that was a mom, a moment like yours that, you know, I think it really woke me up to how important it is that I stand up, that I fight, that I talk about this situation.
You know, they represent millions of kids out there, not just in sacrifice, but they're trapped in slavery and different forms of slavery.
You know, I, you know, I don't know how rated G or R you want to stay in here, but I could blow people's minds on the things that we've seen, things that we've uncovered.
And, you know, a pediatric heart that was going to be sold for a quarter of a million dollars where we rescued that two-year-old before it was being sold.
I could tell you about all the online stuff that's happening.
It's just once you see it, it's hard to unsee it.
And the deeper you go, then I guess for me, you could call it the more passion you have for doing something about it.
And so that's, that's just a brief kind of background on my book experience and how prominent it was for me, definitely.
Well, I certainly do want to explore both the online and harvesting aspects because a lot of people get lost in that.
You know, a child's body parts, whether it's going to be involved in the sacrifice or not, can be worth, like you just said, a quarter of a million dollars for the heart.
And you wonder if they're going to get rid of the other organs for another reason.
Are they exclusively being harvested for this?
On top of that, those that don't have their lives taken go through a life of utter torture.
You know, you just talked about these kids, some of which have been through the most horrific experiences.
They still want to live.
You know, they still want a chance, and you guys are giving them that chance.
And I think it's important for people, whether they're religious or not, because I certainly don't tell people what to believe.
They have to understand, number one, evil does exist.
It's not an abstract idea of mores.
Okay.
Evil's a real thing.
And then there are those people that actually do have religious beliefs that are the darkest of the dark.
And they are, in my opinion, pure evil.
I mean, if you, in your religious practice of any kind, would harm a child, that religion is based in nothing but pure evil, Nate.
The Dark Side of Greed00:03:15
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, I mean, look, there's no sense in it.
Like, zero sense of it.
It's all, it's hocus post pocus and smoke and mirrors.
And it's, it's fake, you know.
It's an unfortunate situation that deep down.
I mean, you talk about greed.
I'm not going to get all religious here, but greed drives a lot of the stuff.
And we see these witch doctors are driven by greed.
You know, it's money.
These people are paying for this.
Some of it is for, you know, like genitals of a young boy will be removed for good luck for a business venture or over your own family.
So then now you're looking at personal, you know, whatever may be like progressing your life or your business by the sacrifice of another child's genitals.
Like, where's the sense in that?
Like, come on now.
Yeah, it's, it's hard.
It's hard to believe, man, to be honest with you.
Right when you think like you've seen it all and nothing's going to shock you, you get shocked.
Like, shock.
It's hard not to with children, right?
Like with kids, especially, it's hard not to be shocked when you see the extent of this.
We got to take a break.
I want to come back on the other side.
I want to talk about this film, but I also want to talk about the digital aspects of this trade because more and more there is an online aspect not only to the trafficking of children, but then again, of the sale of their body parts.
is making sense of the madness back after this.

god tells you what to do estimated two million children are trafficked every year and we can help Sound of Freedom is based on a true story about real-life heroes saving kids from the dark world of child trafficking.
We know this is heartbreaking and it hurts to look at, but the first step in helping these children is hearing their story.
Not enough people know this problem exists, and even fewer people are willing to do anything about it.
Our goal is to inspire 2 million people to attend the film's opening weekend to represent the 2 million trafficked children around the world.
To spread the word, Angel Studios set up a pay-it-forward program where you can pay for someone else's ticket who might not otherwise see it.
If the ticket price is stopping you from attending, claim your free ticket at angel.com/slash freedom.
Sound of Freedom opens the week of July 4th.
Every parent, every adult, and every teenager in America should be there to see it.
If millions of us come together today to see this film, we could propel the movement to help save millions of children around the world.
You can send the message that God's children are no longer for sale.
The Sound of Freedom this July 4th.
Get out there and watch it.
Just like any technology, the internet, the web, it can be used to literally empower, which is what you guys are doing with this film, or literally enslave, which is what we're talking about.
Before we get into that darkness, let's talk about how this film came into fruition, Angel Studios, and your role in the whole thing.
Yeah, well, interesting enough, you know, the story talks about how Tim Ballard left the government as a special agent because of the restrictions, really, which was put on him by our government to not rescue kids.
So he started a nonprofit to go out.
And this was one of his first cases.
Still to this day, what we believe is the largest child rescue in history.
Over 120 children were rescued.
This was part of a simultaneous triple take, three different operations simultaneously happening in the country that had to happen all together so they didn't speak to each other.
They all had to go down within the same hour all over the country.
This was just one on the island that Tim was leading.
And over 50 children happened to get rescued from.
And CBS News, realistically, back, this was 10 years ago, they saw this.
They aired a special on it.
And some Hollywood producers saw this and thought, wow, let's look into that.
That sounds incredible.
And looked in more to who Tim Ballard was and the story.
And they said, wow, we need to make a movie about this guy and about the story.
So this is just one piece of it of the actual operation, which is documentary will release later as an Emmy Award-winning documentary already.
And then, yeah, they made the film.
They raised the money.
They produced this film.
And then every studio stopped it from coming out, unfortunately.
Until just recently, Angel Studios, you know, it said, hey, we're definitely interested.
For those that don't know, Angel Studios and the Chosen, it's a completely new revolutionary way, I believe, for Hollywood, where the people choose the content that's going to be produced rather than executives who are telling you what you're going to watch and what content is available to you.
There's also that unique piece that Cavizzle mentions about paying it forward.
Know this we've we've seen with technology, gaming systems, whatever, that 90% of the people can watch or play these games for free, and the rest are going to pay for all that, or they're going to pay somehow for tools or whatever.
Well, this is kind of a similar thing.
People who have seen this movie and private screens have bought thousands of dollars worth of seats because they think it's so important that this message gets out there to the public.
So that's potentially what can happen here, too.
Um, is that you know, people see it, they get moved by it, and then they buy other people's tickets for this film, um, which is really important to do the pre-sales because we've seen with the momentum that's happening with this movie and the pre-sales that you know theaters are like, I'm on board, I want it in my theater.
And then we've also seen theaters going like, Hey, let's extend the date for this movie to be in our theater.
And the more theaters we can get in, the more people that go see it.
It's hard for whatever media channel it is to argue with the facts that, hey, we're going to get against Indiana Jones here, and we're going to, we're going to, we're going to hit a pretty good home run here, I think, an opening weekend.
And when they see the dollar amounts coming in on a movie that a lot of people haven't heard of that's up against Indiana Jones, it's going to raise some interest.
And hopefully, people go see it and we wake people up to the reality of what's going on.
And then maybe they will go further to start learning more about human trafficking and what's going on out there in the world.
Absolutely.
And we've got to use this as a tool.
I believe you can get tickets over at rrescue.org on the Sound of Freedom subpage.
And let's talk about the pre-sales for a moment because, like you said, going up against Indiana Jones, I believe it was just a couple weeks ago, The Flash, which is a $200 million plus picture, is starring somebody, in my opinion, accused of horrific things.
He, of course, identifies as non-binary and has accusations against him on children.
They put it out there anyway.
Well, that utterly failed at $54 million of a box office open.
Nobody's talking about that film, pushed by Hollyweird.
You guys have done substantial, substantial pre-sales.
This movie's a week out.
Like you said, people are already talking about extensions.
Hey, mom and pop shops out there.
Maybe you want to contact Angel Studios and be a part of this as well.
Talk about that aspect of it, of how, in reality, you know, even with their big budgets and what they're telling you you should like, you guys are winning.
You're beating the system.
Oh my gosh, you bring up such an important aspect to all this.
This is the first time in the history of the world that I'm aware of that the American people and the world can show up and say, look, we're going to be the voice and we're going to tell you what we want.
This isn't being run by a Hollywood studio.
This isn't being released by the big names out there.
This is Angel Studios, who has great content, putting it out there in a market and saying, hey, America, go tell Hollywood what you want.
And I think that if this is a big deal, this happened with the Passion of the Christ.
You know, I'm very close to that being very close with Jim Caviesel.
No studio wanted to touch that movie.
No studio would back Mel Gibson and he had to do it on his own.
And it became like the number one R-rated opening weekend of history.
It's $1.2 billion 20 years ago.
You would think that people would catch on to like, hey, this is what people want.
If we can get our voices and our people to show up and start showing like Hollywood, they're like, oh, wow, this is what we need to be talking about.
Actually, they will have no say, you know, because maybe Angel continues to do stuff like this.
And maybe we can continue to get messages out there because the people want it.
That's what we are doing at Operation Underground Railroad.
We are telling people to get loud.
The more that we kick and scream that, hey, enough is enough.
Our children are not for sale anymore.
Let's protect our children.
This has to stop from the, start at the top and work its way down.
Like, we need more funding for the police.
I don't care.
We'll start that argument all day long.
They need the equipment and the tools to go out and do their jobs to help arrest these predators.
Right now, there's five task force officers for drugs, for every one, you know, human trafficking task force.
There's no risk compared to the drugs and there's way more money, right?
When you look at a criminal, they're mostly not intelligent people, let's just say, but they do see that, wow, a lot less risk and a lot more money because I don't have to keep reinvesting in the drugs.
I could just invest in a human and sell them over and over and over and over until they age out.
We need to equip our law enforcement.
We need to give them the training because we're going to get to the digital aspect of this.
This is all gone digital.
Not all of it, because you can still go to brothels and fake spas and all that kind of thing all over.
But so much of it is online.
And I can tell you, most of the cases that are being worked by law enforcement and even our guys and our ladies is the cases are all built.
All the evidence is digital.
And it's literally when they just show up for that small little window.
It could be months of talking and texting and doing all that online.
And just when they show up, they just get arrested.
That's about the only actual interaction.
And that leads us to why this is growing and becoming such a big problem digitally is because people feel safe.
They're behind some wall.
They're in their home or their hotel room or wherever they are.
And they're going onto these dark webs and they're anonymous and a fake profile and they think that, oh, they're safe, right?
Instead of going to the playground where the kids are playing, you know, and I'm out in public and somebody can call the cops, they're at home.
And that's where it started.
And now people don't realize like, oh, it makes sense that you would find these predators at a playground because the kids are playing.
Well, kids aren't at playgrounds anymore.
They're online.
And the predators are going to go online where the kids are.
So I hope that you guys are figuring out as parents that we didn't have this technology.
We don't know how to teach our kids.
So it's our duty to get caught up to teach our kids the safeties and the realities of what's going on on social media, on some of these platforms out there that are being disguised.
And what's the reality of the dark web?
Because our law enforcement are just learning and they need more support on what are these dark web channels.
They pop up and go every few months.
There's a new one.
You know, you got to be a predator to know where the new ones are at.
And if our law enforcement is equipped to go in there and build these cases and do the undercover work instead of undercover, like face to face on the alley, you're undercover online, just like they are.
And we're going after them.
And we need everybody to get loud, start talking about it and demand a change and demand that something's done about it.
So sorry, I'm going off there and I'll stop on the list.
We need more people out there.
We need human interaction, right?
Because look, the online aspect, like I said, you guys are trying to use the tools not to just have action online, but to get people together in a theater and then maybe talk to each other after human interaction is so important.
And you also talked about the fact that we need to fund the police more.
Well, I would also argue when you catch these people, we need life sentences bare minimum.
If you're abusing a child, it's first degree murder type charges.
You never get to go back into society again if you are indeed guilty of that crime.
And I feel like one of the reasons that that is not the case is because, yes, you do have these lower level criminals.
But at the end of the day, many of the customers, many of the people taking part in this are at quote unquote elite levels in politics, in business, in the entertainment industry, in religion.
I mean, the Boy Scout scandal plus the Catholic Church scandal that rocked the world, you know, 30 years ago.
Well, did we really clean that up or did they still move around priests, cardinals, and others?
That's the truth of the matter.
So until we get there, I don't know. how we solve that issue.
And, you know, you talked about why is it that they don't see what's profitable?
I was part of the passion of the Christ 20 plus years ago when it came out.
You know, the Grays are showing.
It was a while ago.
But like you said, people wanted to see that.
Now, I wasn't particularly religious.
I knew Mel Gibson made really good films, you know, and Jim Caviesel was a good actor.
And obviously, I was familiar with the story of Jesus.
So I said, hey, let's give it a shot.
And it was an experience.
It was something that was very, very different for the time, holds up today, powerful film, right?
Why don't they?
Because it's not always about profit.
A lot of times it's about narrative management and control.
And they don't want the visualization of tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people coming out to see your film and that visual of people at the premieres.
So number one, go see it.
Number two, take out your phone, do a little live blog, you know, put it on Facebook or Instagram or whatever social media that you use and let people know, hey, this is a pretty big success.
This is a big deal.
Maybe you want to come out next weekend and empower yourself through this technology.
Now, before we go to the break, I want to talk about how the online aspect has changed the business.
Online Aspect Changes Business00:03:56
You talk about the fact that the children are online, often playing Fortnite or, like you said, in certain types of social media chat rooms.
Is this the main place that these kids are being groomed in, say, First World Nations?
Well, certainly in first world nations where people have access to smartphones, internet, anywhere they go.
You know, their friends are forcing, you know, persuading their actions on where they're at.
That's where they're spending a lot of time.
In first world, United States, it happens in a lot of different areas, but that's where it all pretty much starts.
It's easy.
You can disguise yourself as a 12-year-old boy.
You're a lot smarter than a 12-year-old girl, and you can manipulate her.
And it starts with innocence, you know, like, hey, send me pictures of you in your swimsuit.
And they think, oh, well, I wear my swimsuit at the swimming pool in front of other people.
That doesn't seem like a bad idea.
They send those pictures.
That girl doesn't know they're being sold on the dark web, but that's where it begins.
And then it just goes from there.
And then they uncover at some point their real or their fake real identity and say, look, I have all this on you.
Now I'm demanding ransom.
This is one area of what they do with technology, but there's so much to learn too.
On our website, you can find as a parent.
I think you should go look at the online safety courses that we provide to really help people understand how you can keep your kids safe.
And I think that kids need to see this stuff.
There's a documentary too.
It's happening right here.
It's out and available.
You can find it.
Just Google it.
It's the documentary.
It's happening right here in the United States and it's all about that.
And I think that what we've seen is it opens up a brand new level of communication between parents and children because children are woken up to like, oh my gosh, that could be me.
Oh, I didn't know that happened.
And parents saying the same exact thing.
And now the parents and the children are having the same conversations about a technology that they're having different conversations about.
You know, so I think there's a lot to explore there.
You know, we can get into it after the break and talk on how do we make sense of all this.
You know, what can we do?
And what are we doing?
And, you know, what can parents do?
There's a lot to it.
There's a lot to it.
Your kids are vulnerable if they're online.
I can tell you that.
Well, Nate, it's a good thing this show is called Making Sense of the Madness.
And we're going to do that on the other side of the break.

I cannot emphasize that enough.
We had Matt Osborne on and the operative known as the Batman to describe some of the real horrific nature of this industry.
And that is how it is looked.
Children are looked at as an industry.
Let's talk about the darker aspect of modern day trafficking that starts in the third and second world.
Because when you guys go in, number one, you don't just go in there like vigilantes, which I think is a good thing.
You actually work with local law enforcement to save these children.
Give us, you know, obviously that's what the film is about, you know, the Tim Ballard story and these rescues.
But give us a day-to-day look at how this occurs and what's actually taking place.
Because like we talked about in the beginning, I don't think the general person is really aware or cognizant of how dark this is, how widespread this is, and how necessary your organization is.
Yeah, well, looks, we support law enforcement in all 50 states through training, technology, equipment that they need to go out and do these type of investigations, right?
They'll hold up in court.
And we also do that.
We've done operations in 30 plus countries around the world.
And what's different about what we do is we really, I mean, when you use the word support, that's heart.
So I'll describe a little bit of what that means.
You know, I can give you a case last week that we worked.
You know, we're in this country.
We're working with their government and law enforcement.
And there was a lead on a missing girl.
She had gone missing from a pretty, you know, prevalent family in this country.
And we still haven't found her.
But what it led to was this man.
And they had enough evidence that they were going to go arrest an American guy in this country.
And when they went there and, you know, they break down the doors, they found him in bed with a 13-year-old girl.
Well, at that point, they're like, hey, I think this could be a lot more than just a girl gone missing here.
And they found some more things.
They got us involved.
We work closely with Homeland Security all over the world.
But in this case, we did, we were able to unlock his phone.
That's part of the technology that we provide too, is unlocking the phone, which leads to more victims, more predators, that type of thing.
And we started unraveling this massive ring in this area.
So then what happens is then we have our guys that are undercover.
They're special human intelligence officers.
They specialize in this type of work in an undercover capacity, whatever their former division that they worked in, but they have lots of experience.
They come in and they just pose as a, you know, if I step off of a boat or a ferry coming onto an island, I'm more likely to get approached for drugs or sex than my parents or grandparents.
You know, I'm just am.
So our guys look like the potential customer that are coming down there to do this.
And so they go in, they get approached, or they know that these guys exist out there and they start communicating with them.
And then they have a false narrative.
They all play a certain character in their own story.
And then they start potentially setting up like, hey, look, this is what we're going to do.
I'm not going to give you all the details of how we do our operations, but essentially they're setting them up for an event and they're going to come and they're going to, you know, they're going to make all that's been done online, by the way, most of it, not all of it.
You know, we have undercover cameras and we have meetings and everything's recorded and all that stuff, but most of the evidence we want in writing so that it's evidence that can be held up.
But then they show up and they actually exchange the money and it's recorded to exactly what they're paying for.
So they can't get out.
They know exactly what they're doing.
And once that happens, local law enforcement, well, actually, on this case last week, it wasn't local.
We had to bring in, we actually got deputized several of our guys, first time in that country's history to do that because the local police are so corrupt.
And the local judiciary system was so corrupt as well.
So we brought in national police, but then they come in and they make the arrests.
And, you know, on this particular one, there were nine predators or actually traffickers in this case that were arrested and 38 young women, seven of them minors.
One of them was pregnant and one of them had an infant.
These are girls that didn't realize that morning that their freedom was about to be delivered to them.
But those are the type of things.
Now we're working with the law enforcement to continually investigate because we seized all their technology and we're able to get into their stuff and find other networks.
And now we're continuing.
There's probably going to be, I just found out this morning there's going to be more arrests made.
But then on the tails of that, we go in and we educate.
There's so much publicity going on in this area right now.
And we're fighting the attacks from the, you know, the traffickers' families, you know, saying they were set up and all that stuff, of course.
But we go in and then we educate.
We educate the community on what to look for.
We have education that can go into school.
So we'll be providing that as well.
And just getting local officials either arrested and put behind bars as well or in the fight to make a difference and see the reality because some of them actually don't know what's going on or they turn their eyes, right?
They don't want to see it going on.
And so that's a small little bit about what we do.
But we have really, really smart online investigative teams that can work cases all over the world.
We get leads and we build cases.
Provide them, you know, to the local law enforcement.
So we're in six regions of the world and I don't know 30, some countries doing operations and aftercare.
That's a whole nother story we can get into.
We worked with 150 organizations on that uh, lifelong.
You know, healing for these survivors once they're part of this operation and rescued.
So I know that's kind of a that feels like a lot.
That's really just scratching the surface of what we do um, and our men and women, because it is a lot right.
It sounds like a lot because it is a lot right.
And you talk about the education.
One of the things that I discussed with Matt Osborne is this sort of mythos out there of the pretty woman type hooker and they chose to do this.
When so many of these people are enslaved, basically at a young age and this just becomes a normalcy in their life, to be a slave, to be a sex slave who services five or ten people a day in some instance, I can't imagine, you know, the horrific uh life that a lot of these people leave.
Yet that's not what you see in the media.
It's glamorized constantly.
Can you talk about that aspect of education and how it really goes hand in hand with these support groups of people that get out of that lifestyle and have lived through things most of us have no way of relating to.
Well, it's such a critical component of all of this and this is where you know we are seeing some light switch moments for law enforcement.
Um, it's unfortunate, but you know, we have seen pretty women and we do believe they're all volunteers and we all, you know, at some point thought that they're all criminals.
A prostitute is a criminal, where what we know for sure is that there, where there's prostitution, there's victimization of these individuals and not all of them are criminals and they can't all be treated like criminals.
And it's nothing to say.
We support law enforcement, we love law enforcement.
Some of my best friends are still in law enforcement.
This is nothing to do other than what our system looks like.
You know these low criminal, you know things that are happening, but these women and girls are instantly treated like victims.
And that psychology even though they don't look at the years leading up to what got them there and even though they may be trafficking as well or bringing people to the table, what got them there right?
And and so, in that moment of rescue that the law enforcement needs to be educated too, you know, and not just in the United States, oh my gosh more prominently in outside the United States, because they're years behind where we are.
But you know, what we've seen so often, which is so sad and we're trying to educate law enforcement on, is that hey, don't treat them like criminals.
We see what that does long term it actually works against you.
When you're um having these interviews not interrogations.
They used to be interrogations, you know, with a survivor.
They're interviews with them to get information and make them feel respected and and help them move forward um, you know, in their healing, because they they're being forced Into this.
This isn't their choice.
So there's that education, right?
Educating law enforcement, educating the public about this as well, educating our youth on what it looks like.
What does grooming look like?
How does it happen?
I think the education piece: what are some of the signs?
And what can you do when you see some of these things that are occurring right in front of you day to day?
What's a red flag?
Like if you're in, you know, I'm not a big box store and you see an older gentleman with a young girl and they're looking at makeup, maybe contraceptives or attractive clothes.
Like, is that a warning sign?
Are you just going to not say anything about it?
Are you not going to do anything about it?
You know, and so I think there's a lot to be educated on.
And I think that it starts with the mindset.
You had mentioned earlier, like these low-level criminals, you're like, oh, they need to get life in prison.
But they're just low-level criminals.
So they're not.
That's because that's what we think.
But if they were getting sentenced to life or death, that gives it a different perception of what level of, you know, severity this crime is.
You know, murder, everybody's known forever.
It's like, you take someone's life, you're going away for life, or you're, you know, you're going to get the death penalty.
So people think, like, oh, that's a big crime.
Taking a child's innocence and damaging them forever, potentially never fully back to where they were is some man.
You know, we have survivors that we work with who are years out, who just finished nursing school, but have tried to take their life six times.
And they've been out for years, you know, getting healing.
There's a massive amount of mental abuse that has happened in the psychology behind all this that takes a lot of time and a lot of work from the individual to get through.
And you've taken that life from that child.
As a predator, you've taken away that life from that child that will potentially, we've heard from survivors, they will never be the same.
So, so, so, why is that a low-level crime?
You know, you, you've robbed that person of their life, not by their breathing and their heartbeat, but from their from their life and potentially their potential.
You know, it's we've got to change their mental stability possibly for the rest of their life through physical abuse.
It's absolutely disturbing.
We've got to go to break.
We'll be back after this.
Rrescue, OURrescue.org is the site.
Go over there, make a donation, get a ticket, get involved.
it's making sense in the madness.

We are back short segment here with Nate Lewis.
Nate, let's make another push for the film, but then I'd also like you to briefly talk about this documentary series that went mega viral when Tim Ballard started talking about this thing and Mel Gibson's involvement.
Yeah.
Well, do you want me to talk about the hidden war docuseries?
Where do you want me to start?
Let's do it.
Let's start there.
Just a few minutes on it.
Yeah, so first, the sound of freedom, we talked about, you saw the trailer.
Tickets are on sale right now.
4th of July, that movie comes out.
True story based on Tim Ballard, why he left the government, why we do not take funding from the government.
And we're completely individually funded by you guys, the light, into going to this darkest.
You're giving through us, OUR, to law enforcement and to these children who need to be rescued.
So we're hoping that that movie is going to help us there.
Ourrescue.org is where you can go make a donation.
We can't do what we do without support from you.
Now, the Hidden War series, oh my goodness, this is so fascinating.
I can't wait for y'all to see it.
I don't believe it's going to get out this year.
There's just so much going on and so much coming out.
But this originally started in Ukraine.
And Mel Gibson, actually, he funds some orphanages over there and he had called, you know, he'd seen the sound of freedom, you know, and so he was introduced.
He knew Jim had Tim's phone number.
So he's like, I need Tim Baldur's number.
He's like, hey, I support this orphanage is over there, several of them.
Can you go over there and get these kids out?
And Tim, you know, the story is much better.
I'm going to give you the really cheap version of it.
He's like, okay, so they go over there and they're rescuing so many kids.
And the stories are amazing.
And thank goodness we filmed it because it's unbelievable.
Some of the stuff you wouldn't believe unless it was actually filmed.
So we went over there and we thought we were going over there to rescue orphans, which we did.
And we were able to assist hundreds of thousands of orphans to be brought out.
You know, when these things happen, parents die and their kids are instantly become orphans.
And then that's where these predator networks pop up, you know, because they know these kids are vulnerable and they're going to, you know, they're in a situation where they're desperate and they're going to prey on that.
So we discovered so much, so, so much there.
And we realized, hey, we have a potential here to start going after trafficking networks all over the world that are trying to source out of the Ukraine and all these children that are now parentless.
And we quickly did some training.
We were able to recruit some people, got mail's interest.
He came to one of our trainings actually because he was close by filming.
And it led to a tip from this Dutch pedophile police.
Well, it was a police officer that gave us the tip, but it was about this network that were trying to normalize pedophilia, truly.
And I mean, there's lots of videos.
We're going to show them in this documentary that they went public with.
And they were arrested and they got out and they gave them their passports and they were in hiding for a couple of years.
And Tim was able to, and this is an example why we don't work for the government anymore, you know, is that a lead comes in.
They're in a completely different continent in a different country outside the United States.
For the United States to even get this moving could take months.
You know, well, Tim instantly goes in undercover capacity, starts talking to this guy, sets up a meeting.
Six days later, the head of this network is arrested.
That would never happen, number one.
That's like a, you know, the government's like turning an aircraft carrier around and we're on a jet ski.
We're already turned around.
Like as soon as you think you're there, which led to another continent to his lieutenants that were running a sex hotel for boys under the age of 10.
And I've been there.
I've seen it.
I've met the people.
It's severely sad what's going on.
The age of children who have STDs is mind-blowing.
The number of girls that are under the age of 14 that are pregnant is nearing 100.
It was massively devastated this community.
Well, we were able to get the intel.
We put surveillance on there.
We identified and we confirmed and working with local law enforcement.
We were able to bring out the teams from their capital.
We went in, we made the raid, we made the arrest.
Two of them just got sentenced last week to 10 years.
But 10 years in an Ecuadorian prison is like a lifetime in hell, just so you know.
So that's what we're doing.
Hey, we got to go to break, but obviously we need to get these people off the streets.
Hopefully, they don't last that decade in the Ecuadorian prison.
Back after this final segment, rrescue.org is the website.
Making sense of the madness is the show.
Back after this.
People know
about that whole blow up with project very touch.
I read a few people wrong, and that's my fault, but I learned from that, and I think I'll be a more effective messenger as a result of that.
That'll free me up to do the next chapter, the next stage of my evolution, which is OMG, which is decentralizing journalism.
And sometimes things happen for a reason.
That's my goal.
That's my mission.
And I didn't ask for that mission.
I never thought that would be my mission.
It just has become my mission.
And I'm excited about it.
Final segment of Making Sense of the Madness.
And I am encouraging our audience here at AMP News to not make this just a movie, but a movement.
Get out there on July 4th.
And after you watch the film, hey, figure out how you can have a screening in your own area.
Reach out to the mom and pop shops.
Rrescue.org is where you can take action in these final few minutes, Nate.
What else would you like to get across to the audience?
How can they get involved right now?
Well, look, there's a couple of free ways for you to really help us.
This is what we've seen.
It really helps.
You can text the number 75004.
Just put in there prayers.
If you're a prayer, we will send out prayer requests.
They're very powerful.
They really do work.
We have actual videos of our teams who are being chased by traffickers and corrupt police.
Find peace right after that got sent out.
And so we do know the power of that.
You can also text that same number, 75004.
Updates, which you can get updates of what we're doing.
We can also, right there, you can literally get action items that you can go do that will help us and help maybe legislation or whatever may be just get those updates.
And then if you want to help us financially, just put in the word rescue.
You're able to quickly and easily make a donation.
Like I said before, we truly don't survive without the light of individuals like everybody viewing today.
We get no funding from anywhere else other than people who want to make a difference in the world.
You know, you're giving through us to these law enforcement officers and agencies around the world and all 50 states.
And, you know, you're really, you're really truly locking up predators.
I mean, you really help us do that.
And for every predator out there, they abuse on average over 100 victims in their lifetime.
So the more we can put away, that's our prevention.
You know, we're trying to lock them up so they can't continue abusing more kids that don't need rescuing.
And that's our goal.
So help us, ourrescue.org.
Follow us on social media.
We have an e-newsletter.
There's so much you can learn that you can now speak about.
I think getting educated and then talking about it, you gotta stand up.
You all have to do some of the work.
You're part of our army.
We need soldiers, S-O-U-L soldiers, people that are going to go out there, get loud, be the voice for these children who are voiceless and create change, demand change.
But talk about it, educated sources, real sources, and just go out there and be the light in our darkness.
And thank you guys, because honestly, and thank you for having us on.
Honestly, you know, we work in a dark area and it helps us when there's so many people out there that want to make real change.
And, you know, we get caught up in so much darkness in the world, but we forget there's so much good.
Truly, there is a lot of good.
And so thank you guys for bringing light to so many of us as well and giving us this platform and wanting to make sense of all this madness that's out there.
Well, let me say this, man.
You've smiled a lot in this interview.
I'm a smiling guy.
I'm actually a really happy guy.
I deal with dark information on a daily basis.
You deal with some of the darkest of things on a firsthand basis.
And people have to realize that just because we're talking about these things and we're taking action doesn't mean that it has to infiltrate our lives in a manner that is negative.
No, we're trying to create a better world here.
And you can't just look away and you can't look to somebody else.
That's why I constantly tell people you have to be your own hero.
And I don't want people to miss out this July 4th because tickets are going fast.
And believe me, not only going to see the movie, but getting involved further.
And again, not a movie, a movement is what we need.
Nate, it has been an absolute pleasure to have you.
One more time, kick out the websites and how people can go see this movie.
OUR stands for Operation Underground Railroad.
Ourrescue.org.
Please go check it out.
Also, there, you can see right there, we've got the sound of freedom on our website.
So when you go there, this is going to pop up.
You can even go click on that and you can get tickets through the website as well, which will direct you to the Angel Studios.
But just thank you guys for having us on.
We would love to come back.
We have other people that work for organizations that specialize, whether it's aftercare or operations all over the world.
We're here, man, to help educate your viewers.
So just let us know however we can support you in this fight.
We're all in it together.
So thanks for allowing us to be just a part of it.
Thank you, brother, because there is a movement right now to normalize this with terms like minor attracted persons and maps.
There is a real transgender agenda against you, your children, and the nuclear family in general.
And we're here to fight back.
Thank you to AMP News for letting me do this powerful hour on child trafficking.
Get out and see Sound of Freedom.
It's making sense of the madness.
See you tomorrow.
