Hodgetwins - This the Dumbest Reason to Kill Someone: Dallas is Like Chicago Now Aired: 2025-10-13 Duration: 09:52 === Deadly Shootings in Dallas (08:32) === [00:00:00] Another deadly shooting near Fair Park hours after the police chiefs of our two largest cities shared their plans to keep you safe. [00:00:07] Residents are demanding answers after an especially violent 48 hours. [00:00:13] Between Friday night and Sunday night, there were at least 11 shootings or stabbings in both Dallas and Fort Worth alone, many of them deadly. [00:00:21] Teresa Wooders here to give us some context while laying out just how bad it's been. [00:00:28] Dallas is turning into Chicago. [00:00:30] Turning into it is Chicago. [00:00:32] 17 shot, three stabbed. [00:00:35] Wow, 10 people unalive. [00:00:37] Cynthia Chris, the numbers are simply staggering from this weekend. [00:00:40] In Dallas and Fort Worth alone, 17 people shot, three others stabbed, 10 victims dead. [00:00:48] Of course, this one weekend does not define either city, but it definitely. [00:00:53] It doesn't? [00:00:54] Oh, it's just an anomaly. [00:00:56] I hear crazy stuff coming out of Dallas every weekend. [00:01:00] This is your city. [00:01:01] So it's a lot of people. [00:01:05] It just kept happening. [00:01:07] From Fort Worth to Dallas, Friday to Sunday, in a gas station in a nightclub on a train. [00:01:13] 10 violent deaths, including a yet-to-be-born baby, killed when the mother was stabbed on this street in Dallas. [00:01:20] An arrest affidavit says a woman was shot and killed outside a Dallas pet smart after getting upset at a woman for not saying thank you. [00:01:28] Court documents say the victim Cecilia Simpson was shot several times after the dispute escalated into a parking lot fight. [00:01:37] Peyton Yeager has more on the story tonight. [00:01:39] The family of 41-year-old Cecilia Simpson sent Fox 4 News these photos of the Duncanville mother of two. [00:01:47] Friends and old classmates from Duncanville ISD also mourning the loss. [00:01:53] According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Simpson was shot and killed after becoming upset because a woman she held the door open for didn't say thank you. [00:02:03] The argument started at the store five below Tuesday and then spilled over to the Pet Smart in the same South Oak Cliff shopping center off Wheatland Road. [00:02:13] Investigators say 22-year-old Kiana Hampton followed Simpson and her daughter into the PetSmart and employees there asked them to leave. [00:02:23] Hey, how you spill Kiana? [00:02:27] Did that start with a Q or a K? [00:02:30] A K. K-E-Y-A-N-N-A. [00:02:33] It's just Anna with K in front of it. [00:02:37] First caught my attention. [00:02:39] Fox 4 spoke to a 27-year-old ER nurse who walked out of the PetSmart as the two women were arguing in the parking lot. [00:02:47] The lady who was the shooter was still instigating, I guess, an argument or a fight or something. [00:02:52] But the moment Donner tried to get in the car and like de-escalate the situation, but the lady wasn't having it. [00:02:58] According to the affidavit, Hampton later confirmed two detectives she engaged in the verbal dispute, entering the Pet Smart twice and continuing the argument, throwing the drink bottle at Simpson's car when she was about to leave and engaging in a physical altercation with her. [00:03:16] That's when police say Hampton pulled out a gun and shot Simpson three times. [00:03:21] Multiple nurses rushed to perform CPR. [00:03:25] Simpson's daughter by her mom's side while also on the phone with 911. [00:03:31] If I could just hug that daughter, like I just feel so bad for her and I just want her to know that I did everything I could. [00:03:36] Those other people did everything they could. [00:03:40] Dallas is crazy. [00:03:42] So it all started over holding the door, the door open for someone. [00:03:47] And I hate, you know, I've done that before, held it open for someone and they just walk right in and don't even acknowledge you. [00:03:53] And it's like, it makes me not even want to hold the door open for people. [00:03:56] Well, I stopped doing it. [00:03:58] When I see a black person come, I don't hold the door. [00:04:02] See a white person or a white lady, I'm gonna hold the door for her. [00:04:05] Yeah, because they're gonna thank you. [00:04:06] If I see a young sub-Saharan approaching me as I'm entering the establishment, I'm not holding that door because nine times out of ten, they don't even say thank you. [00:04:14] And then on top of that, to add insult to injury, they will roll their eyes at you. [00:04:20] Like, why are you holding the door for me? [00:04:22] Well, that's your experience. [00:04:24] They won't even acknowledge you. [00:04:25] And I don't think that's just attribute exclusive to black people. [00:04:29] Really? [00:04:30] You don't think so? [00:04:34] I've already done my investigation. [00:04:36] I've used 10 bodies. [00:04:39] Nine out of 10. [00:04:40] I just said, you know, this is the last time I'm doing this. [00:04:42] Because I forget sometimes who I am. [00:04:44] I'm a black conservative. [00:04:46] A lot of black people know I am. [00:04:47] So they're very rude to me in public. [00:04:49] Well, white people, they've always said, oh, thank you. [00:04:53] Thank you, sir. [00:04:54] Thank you, young man. [00:04:56] So that enraged the victim in this case. [00:04:58] And they got into an argument. [00:05:00] They leave and go to another store. [00:05:01] And then the girl that didn't thank them, I guess she said something to her so bad, so that just disrespected her so much, followed her to the next store and continued to engage her, even though she's got her daughter with her. [00:05:14] No, I don't think it's nothing that one of Miss Simpson said that would justify that woman's behavior. [00:05:20] That woman that she opened the door and did that good deed for, that woman is a deranged lunatic. [00:05:27] Yeah. [00:05:28] I would say I would even use some of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden's language to describe them. [00:05:34] Super predator. [00:05:35] Super predator. [00:05:37] Yeah, why else is she walking around with a gun? [00:05:40] Exactly. [00:05:40] What if she had the gun legally? [00:05:42] You think she walked around with a CCW? [00:05:46] Well, I forget that laws in the world. [00:05:48] Well, this is Texas. [00:05:49] You could openly carry, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't openly carried. [00:05:52] It was like an impressive. [00:05:53] Well, we're speculating. [00:05:54] Well, someone with this behavior, you got to be a convicted felon. [00:05:57] Well, well, you just ain't been caught yet. [00:06:00] Yeah. [00:06:02] Yeah, but Dallas, Texas, that, yeah. [00:06:05] That city is just like Chicago. [00:06:07] Yeah. [00:06:08] It just don't get the news coverage. [00:06:10] It's starting to because it happens every weekend. [00:06:12] It happens every day in Chicago. [00:06:14] Yeah. [00:06:14] Bring back three strikes you out, man. [00:06:16] Three violent felonies? [00:06:17] No, but this is being more prevalent in all these Democrat-ran cities. [00:06:22] Yeah, because he's so lax on crime. [00:06:23] They don't lock these people up when they get the opportunity. [00:06:26] They should capitalize on it. [00:06:27] When someone breaks law, take them off the streets and capitalize on their inappropriate behavior and throw away the key. [00:06:34] Make an example out of these people. [00:06:36] This is what this girl says that did the shooting. [00:06:39] Now, the suspect Hampton remains here at the Dallas County Jail. [00:06:43] She does face a murder charge. [00:06:46] Yesterday, police say the suspect did take off in her own vehicle. [00:06:50] She was later arrested. [00:06:51] Surveillance video from that shopping center captured the shooting itself and also the suspect's license plate. [00:06:58] Thank goodness these criminals are just dumb. [00:07:01] But anyway, she said it was self-defense. [00:07:04] She was just trying to get that woman away from her. [00:07:06] But you're the one following her to another store, engaging her and throwing objects at her car. [00:07:13] Yeah, it looks like these evidence is overwhelmingly going to be against the shooter. [00:07:18] And they shouldn't plead her out. [00:07:20] You shouldn't give her 10 years, five years. [00:07:22] No, you should give her the max. [00:07:23] Man, they're not going to give her the max. [00:07:27] Black Lives Matter, right? [00:07:29] The biggest purveyors of that sentiment is black people. [00:07:32] And I'm pretty sure the people that's elected in this city are black. [00:07:37] So if you really believe in Black Lives Matter, you better make an example out of this one girl who took this woman's life. [00:07:43] If it was a white person involved, yeah. [00:07:46] A white person did that? [00:07:47] Oh, they're going to hold them. [00:07:48] They're not going to do that. [00:07:50] I guarantee they're going to plead her out. [00:07:52] Okay, you're going to do 20, but she's going to be out in four years on probation for good behavior. [00:07:57] Guarantee it, yeah. [00:07:58] That's how Democrats work. [00:08:00] The way they govern their cities and just insane. [00:08:04] That's why these cities are like that. [00:08:06] Yeah, because these are habitual offenders. [00:08:09] That is nuts overall. [00:08:11] Capitalize on this woman's behavior and throw away the key. [00:08:15] I'm telling you. [00:08:16] Well, man, I know better. [00:08:17] I don't even open up my mouth up to people. [00:08:19] Yeah. [00:08:20] I mean, the because people be underestimating how crazy people are. [00:08:24] I know. [00:08:25] It happened to me several times. [00:08:26] I never bothered to say anything. [00:08:28] Yeah. [00:08:28] I've already. [00:08:29] You feel humiliated, right? [00:08:31] It feels like just what it feels like. === Rude Encounters on the Road (01:18) === [00:08:33] You open the door for somebody, they walk right in, mad dog you as you going in. [00:08:37] It feels like they pushed you in the face, you're on the ground, and they just stomped you in the nuts. [00:08:42] No, it's like then walked over your body to go inside the store. [00:08:45] That's what it feels like. [00:08:46] Yeah, I hate it when they don't even acknowledge you. [00:08:48] It's like I'm just standing. [00:08:49] I'm just now looking at them like, yeah. [00:08:51] I mean, that really pissed me off. [00:08:52] I was like, man, I'll, I'll, you go drop the n-word, huh? [00:08:59] I mean, it, it's like people can be so rude, you take the time to hold the door open. [00:09:03] And that's what happened to that lady, but she should have disengaged and just got away from because you engage with these people in these inner cities. [00:09:11] These people are crazy. [00:09:12] Yeah, when I'm in a rural county, a rural part of America, I'm open. [00:09:16] I stay in, I be, you know, courteous and polite to people. [00:09:19] Oh, people open the door. [00:09:21] People, like the most, the nicest people I've run into is rural people that live in. [00:09:25] Yeah, you just drive down the street. [00:09:27] Hey, how's it going? [00:09:29] Hey, how's it going? [00:09:30] Nice car. [00:09:31] Yeah, but you just drive them down the street. [00:09:33] Yeah. [00:09:33] He's like, and people get waving at you. [00:09:35] Yeah. [00:09:35] Yeah. [00:09:36] Man, that's a crazy store, but that's that's Dallas. [00:09:40] Y'all can say it's not Dallas. [00:09:41] This is isolated. [00:09:42] This is anomalies, but it's not. [00:09:44] That's your city. [00:09:45] But hey, hey, FBI statistics tells you how dangerous certain demographic people are. [00:09:51] Yeah.
