Aired: 2025-08-21 Duration: 09:16 === Loudoun County School Suspension (07:24) === [00:00:00] Loudoun County Public Schools is suspending two boys who express their discomfort that a female student who identifies as a boy was using the boys locker room. [00:00:10] Now Seven News was the first to break this story on WJLA.com. [00:00:15] That happened this afternoon. [00:00:17] Now tonight we've got something new here. [00:00:19] Nick Minox spoke with the parents of the boys who the school district says harassed and discriminated against their classmate. [00:00:28] Seth Wolf and Renee Smith say their sons weren't comfortable with a biologically female student who identifies as male using the boys locker room at Stonebridge High School. [00:00:38] In this video, first obtained by Seven News, the boys can be heard asking why there was a girl in the boys' locker room. [00:00:45] The video was recorded by the female student who then complained to administrators about their behavior. [00:00:52] On Friday evening, Seth and Renee say their boys were notified by Loudon County Public Schools that LCPS's Title IX office found them responsible for sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination. [00:01:08] They harassing him. [00:01:10] Her, her, she is not harassing them. [00:01:14] That is nuts. [00:01:15] Yeah, like when I see a guy that's pretending to be a woman going to a woman's restroom, I think you're harassing women. [00:01:21] Yeah. [00:01:22] That's the way I see it. [00:01:23] Right. [00:01:25] Say that the first reaction was like some anger because we're just really, you know, concerned with all this stuff. [00:01:32] There was that. [00:01:33] It was saddened by the decision-making process and how that went. [00:01:37] Seth's son faces a 10-day suspension and additional discipline to be handed out by school officials after a meeting with him. [00:01:46] He's getting suspended for 10 days. [00:01:47] If I'd have walked into the restroom when I was back in high school, I would have got the hell beaten out of me and I would have been expelled. [00:01:55] Yeah. [00:01:56] That's crazy, man. [00:01:57] They don't even suspend you for fighting that long. [00:02:00] Yeah, like three, four days. [00:02:01] Well, we used to live in Loudoun County. [00:02:03] Was it Merndon? [00:02:04] Yeah, very affluent neighborhood. [00:02:05] Yeah, but it's woke. [00:02:08] It's affluent county. [00:02:09] I didn't live in affluent neighborhood at the time, but that's a very affluent county in Virginia, Northern Virginia. [00:02:14] Yeah. [00:02:14] Yeah, we got a new show for y'all. [00:02:16] Got a damn good show. [00:02:17] Before we get to this video, don't forget our giveaway ends today for the tonight at midnight. [00:02:23] Does it end today? [00:02:59] Renee and her family moved out of state this summer. [00:03:02] But if her son were to ever return to the district, says LCPS, he would be suspended then. [00:03:08] Absolutely floored that they came back and branded my son responsible for sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination. [00:03:16] Man, if they let a girl back in the restroom when we live in high school, I'd have been there like nah, I ain't gonna make a joke about that. [00:03:24] No, I'm gonna joke about there. [00:03:29] Watch this. [00:03:30] I did like this. [00:03:35] Hurry up and come out. [00:03:37] I got some problems. [00:03:44] I mean, at that age, I'm thinking it's not safe putting a so-called transgender male in with, you know, preferbescent or adolescent kids. [00:03:56] Think it's just safe in general, let alone if they're going through puberty. [00:04:00] I think that's a disaster waiting to happen with no solid evidence whatsoever. [00:04:09] And we're talking about, you know, scarring him for life by a biased process that's supposed to protect fairness. [00:04:16] You know, it's shocking, it's wrong, and it should terrify every single parent. [00:04:21] Renee's concern is this will follow him because it's on his permanent academic record and could impact his college applications. [00:04:28] LCPS's policy allows students to use bathrooms and locker rooms based on their chosen gender identity. [00:04:34] Seth and Renee believe LCPS is sending a message that any student who expresses views that disagree with so-called policy 8040 will be punished. [00:04:44] They're going to have to follow what Lauder County says, what they believe is right, and what goes against other people's beliefs or what we believe is right. [00:04:54] You know, what they're doing to our children is just despicable. [00:04:58] Now, the boys and their families have a small window to appeal LCPS's decision. [00:05:03] Seven News reached out to LCPS for a response on their findings in this case. [00:05:07] They did not respond to Seven News. [00:05:09] Now, the Family Freedoms Law Center, which has been representing the boys and their families in this case, says they're going to continue to work on this case until this decision is overturned. [00:05:19] Nick Manox, Seven News. [00:05:21] All right, Nick, thank you. [00:05:22] And this comes as Virginia's five largest school districts have decided to defy a federal order to change bathroom and locker room policies. [00:05:31] The order from the Department of Education came down over the summer. [00:05:34] Yeah, it says letting students choose which rooms to use based on gender identity is a violation of Title IX. [00:05:42] That's something the five school districts disagree with. [00:05:45] We heard this morning from the superintendent of Fairfax County, one of the districts defying that order. [00:05:51] Yeah, if y'all remember Fairfax County is where a couple years ago, where that transgender student actually forced himself on a... [00:05:59] Yeah, it was some kind of assault going on at one school. [00:06:03] Then he came to this school and did the same thing because he felt like he was a woman and he was in a woman's restroom, girl's restroom, whatever. [00:06:10] But also, I think this is the same district that was calling parents at these teacher PTA meetings. [00:06:17] Yeah, terrorists. [00:06:18] School boy, they called them terrorists. [00:06:19] Right, right. [00:06:20] And again, Fairfax County, this county they talk about, that's an affluent county as well. [00:06:26] Like this region of Virginia is in Northern Virginia. [00:06:30] It's like suburbs of DC. [00:06:31] And all these jobs, all the everybody's employed with the government, government contracting jobs. [00:06:39] All these people get paid well. [00:06:40] Very affluent counties. [00:06:43] But you know what? [00:06:43] That's a Republican governor of this state. [00:06:46] How's this even taking place? [00:06:48] Yeah, and Trump signed the executive order. [00:06:50] Yeah, you got a Republican governor. [00:06:52] You got Trump's executive order. [00:06:54] And the schools are still doing this. [00:06:57] I'm missing something. [00:06:58] I don't understand what's going on. [00:06:59] They define our elected officials, the president and the governor. [00:07:03] Yeah. [00:07:05] I did send a message home to families on Friday, and we're going to continue to be the school division that welcomes and includes all students, regardless of what the Office of Civil Rights has recently suggested. [00:07:16] And we do expect some type of response at some point later this week. [00:07:21] But until then, we're excited about welcoming our students back to school. === Defying Executive Orders on Gender (01:51) === [00:07:24] Women. [00:07:29] I don't mean to jail as women, like conservative women, y'all got it together. [00:07:33] But actually, you women are in the minority. [00:07:36] Yeah. [00:07:36] I mean, women, they put it to you like this. [00:07:41] Keith, let me say something. [00:07:44] The Garden of Eden, does that ring a bell? [00:07:45] Why do you think that's like one of the first stories in the Bible? [00:07:49] It's there for a reason. [00:07:51] Women have a wickedness in them that could, you know, that could ruin society. [00:07:58] It will ruin everything. [00:07:59] They actually got, this is the only reason why something like this went as far as it has. [00:08:04] Because of women. [00:08:05] Women voters. [00:08:06] Look at these dumb little girls smiling. [00:08:09] Yeah. [00:08:12] Yeah. [00:08:12] This is right. [00:08:13] This is simple fights. [00:08:15] Yeah, this is wrong. [00:08:17] This is wrong. [00:08:18] They doing it wrong. [00:08:19] Your sexual gender is based on your genetics. [00:08:23] No, no. [00:08:24] Your chromosomes. [00:08:25] I know that, but they said you can determine what your gender is. [00:08:29] Yeah, and they said they feel more comfortable going in the opposite bathroom. [00:08:35] How would I feel comfortable going in a woman's restroom? [00:08:39] Just sit now. [00:08:42] Well, she's... [00:08:43] Because I feel like she going to a male. [00:08:45] Yeah, how do you feel comfortable? [00:08:47] With boys. [00:08:49] That makes you feel comfortable? [00:08:52] If your genitalia doesn't decide your gender, how does choosing a bathroom affirm your gender? [00:08:59] Yeah. [00:08:59] How is genitalia don't decide your gender? [00:09:02] Why is a sex change even necessary? [00:09:05] Yeah. [00:09:05] You know what I mean? [00:09:06] This is all like circular reason. [00:09:09] It's just, it's insane, really. [00:09:12] Look at his face. [00:09:14] Women. [00:09:15] Can't live with them.
