[00:00:00]  First up, a minor traffic issue and a bad decision.
[00:00:03]  That's what police say led to a shooting last night that cost a 43-year-old man his life.

[00:00:11]  The accused shooter was actually surprised to find himself in cuffs.
[00:00:15]  Fox 35's Chris Lindsay joins us live tonight.
[00:00:17]  So, Chris, what led to this deadly interaction?
[00:00:21]  Well, the man told investigators the car in front of him was going too slow, so he tried to pass.
[00:00:27]  That started a back and forth between the two drivers.
[00:00:30]  Words were exchanged, and moments later, shots were fired.
[00:00:40]  24-year-old Jaden Harris, distraught after learning he'll be in jail until his arraignment, charged with second-degree murder after what the Sanford police chief is calling a minor traffic issue, ended with evidence markers scattered across the ground outside view on Lake Monroe apartments.

[00:02:08]  And when he tried to pass him, he claims Hall tried to hit him.
[00:02:12]  So Harris followed, trying to get a picture of his license plate.
[00:02:16]  Okay, you're going to follow somebody's threatening you, thinking you should have picture this license plate.

[00:02:26]  Eventually, the two came to a stop at an apartment complex, and he says Hall boxed him in.
[00:02:32]  The two got out of their cars and began to argue.
[00:02:35]  Harris claims Hall lunged at him, but witnesses told officers they saw Harris run to Ward Hall, firing shots as he was running away.
[00:02:44]  Police Chief Cecil Smith says Harris had several opportunities to drive away from the incident as he followed Joseph, who was attempting to drive away.
[00:02:53]  Yet Harris continued to follow Joseph unnecessarily, which ultimately led to Harris killing Joseph.

[00:03:03]  That dude, I can tell, I'm pretty sure the other drivers are white and they don't want to show his try to show that he killed a white man.
[00:03:12]  But that person, that guy who unfortunately lost his life, I guarantee you, he tried to park and just tried to get away from him.

[00:08:38]  If white people committed crimes proportionally to what blacks commit in this country, if you take that statistic of based on that 13%, 50% of the crime, if whites at 7% of the country committed crime at the rate that blacks do, they will commit 98% of the crime in this country.
