Hodgetwins - Cincinnati BRAWL Again but ROLES are REVERSED! Aired: 2025-08-05 Duration: 12:52 === First Time Victim Speaks Out (04:55) === [00:00:00] Well that young man is speaking out for the very first time and he says he was a victim of a hate crime and he wants justice. [00:00:11] In multiple videos you can see Michael Robinson being attacked by a group of teenagers outside the Regal Cinema in Simi Valley on Friday night. [00:00:19] They not only beat him but repeatedly called him the N-word. [00:00:23] Am I right then? [00:00:25] At one point Michael picks up a chair to shield himself but it doesn't work. [00:00:33] And they end up pushing my head into a trash can and they start hitting me in the back of my head like this whole time I wasn't getting hit anywhere else but the back of my head. [00:00:41] Michael says he doesn't know the kids who attacked him. [00:00:44] He recalls that they first tried to target one of his smaller friends before turning their rage on him. [00:00:50] Honestly I thought I was going to die. [00:00:52] Because I know what happens when you get hit on the back of your head. [00:00:56] You can have internal bleeding. [00:00:57] You can have brain damage. [00:00:58] When you first saw the videos, what was your reaction? [00:01:00] Disgusted. [00:01:01] Appalled. [00:01:05] Very concerned. [00:01:07] Brittany Martin is Michael's guardian. [00:01:09] He was hunted down and it was very disgusting. [00:01:12] Why do you think that happened? [00:01:15] Well, these kids, this is not the first time of these kids actually doing this. [00:01:20] Brittany alleges that other black and brown teens have also been targeted by the same group of white teenagers. [00:01:26] One of them, the son of a police officer, seen here in this video. [00:01:35] I just want transparency. [00:01:38] I want them to be thorough. [00:01:40] Attorney Jamal Toussain is representing Michael. [00:01:43] If they can't be neutral and impartial, given the alleged attackers and their relationship with this particular department, maybe a third party should come in and investigate and take it over. [00:01:53] Honestly, I don't hate those kids. [00:01:56] I don't feel any animosity towards them. [00:01:59] I pity them, honestly, because what they just did was it was sick. [00:02:04] It was evil. [00:02:06] And honestly, this was not right. [00:02:12] The Simi Valley Police Department issued a statement that says in part, the identified suspects are all juveniles. [00:02:18] The four juveniles have been contacted and were arrested for battery. [00:02:22] This investigation is continuing and will be presented to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. [00:02:28] Additional charges may be filed. [00:02:31] The family says they hired an attorney to make sure that the appropriate charges are filed, and they are also considering suing the parents of the teenagers involved. [00:02:42] Yeah, I got a new show for y'all. [00:02:43] You got a damn good show. [00:02:44] Before we get today's video, don't forget about our new giveaway. [00:02:47] Ford 250 King Ranch in Canberra. [00:02:50] 10 grand in cash. [00:02:51] Get in the win? [00:02:52] Just go pick up some of my coffee or any of my swag on my site. [00:02:55] You get automatically in the win. [00:02:57] This is like Cincinnati, but the roles are reversed. [00:03:00] That's what it seems like. [00:03:01] Yeah, that's what it seems like. [00:03:03] But you got to do your research these days. [00:03:05] Yeah. [00:03:06] You can't just blindly follow the media because they twist things. [00:03:09] Yeah, so there was a city council meeting and some more facts come out. [00:03:14] Oh, some more facts came out. [00:03:15] They conveniently left them out in this first video. [00:03:20] Check this out. [00:03:22] Neil and Signaris live in Simi Valley with the reaction following tonight's city council meeting. [00:03:27] Chio? [00:03:30] Juan Susie, good evening to you both. [00:03:31] That's right. [00:03:32] This all started on Friday night outside of a movie theater. [00:03:34] Fast forward to tonight at City Hall. [00:03:36] And the main headline here was disappointment and anger. [00:03:39] One by one, residents got up there and expressed loud and clear what they want to happen next. [00:03:46] Just hearing about what happened at Regal sounded like something that was a hundred years ago, but it happened three days ago. [00:03:53] A fiery and passionate city council meeting in Simi Valley tonight as the community reacts to the now viral videos of a brutal beatdown late Friday night. [00:04:01] To the figures with actual authority, get these aggressors off the streets as they've proved they've proven to be nothing but unremorseful. [00:04:09] Resident after resident coming to the podium, pleading for the council to hold Simi Valley police officers accountable and for the district attorney to file hate crime charges. [00:04:17] Racism is taught in the home. [00:04:20] So whoever the parents of these kids are, you are raising them that way. [00:04:25] Police say two 18-year-olds were hurt in the attack. [00:04:28] One white, the other. [00:04:30] Did you hear that? [00:04:31] One was white. [00:04:32] One was white. [00:04:34] Hmm. [00:04:35] This friend was white. [00:04:37] He's got a white guardian. [00:04:40] And the way that black kid talks and carries himself, he's not a thug. [00:04:43] He's not a thug. [00:04:44] Yeah, not ghetto. [00:04:47] He sounds very pleasant to me. [00:04:48] He's got a positive decorum about him. [00:04:50] Right, right, right. [00:04:51] Right? [00:04:51] So, but with all the beeps, you can't really hear what they're saying. === Racism Taught in the Home (07:57) === [00:04:55] Are they cursing or are they calling him the dreaded? [00:04:59] The dreaded most awful word in the world. [00:05:03] Yeah. [00:05:04] I don't know. [00:05:05] But it makes it seem that way with the beeps. [00:05:08] That's what I, it's what it sounds like. [00:05:10] I heard nah, but then you rest of us cut off. [00:05:13] So I don't know what they're saying, really. [00:05:14] The news said it was slurs. [00:05:16] Yeah. [00:05:17] So anyway, let's keep this going. [00:05:19] Michael Robinson is black, but Robinson's attorney, Jamal Tucson, says his client was specifically targeted. [00:05:26] He was the only African American, and that's why this is a targeted hate crime. [00:05:31] As they were attacking him, they were yelling racial slurs. [00:05:34] It is crystal clear what transpired. [00:05:37] Okay, if they're actually using the n-word, that doesn't justify. [00:05:42] If they're using it, wait a minute, hold up now. [00:05:45] He just said it's crystal clear. [00:05:47] They was used to the n-word while it was whooping. [00:05:50] But black people say that same, the same slur, and they take other people's life, but we don't deem them hate crimes. [00:05:57] Why is it a hate crime when whites do it? [00:06:00] And it's enhanced when a white person do it, and it's not enhanced when a black person does it. [00:06:04] It's a double standard. [00:06:05] No, it's not. [00:06:06] And it needs conduct. [00:06:07] That's not double standard. [00:06:08] They're white, Kevin. [00:06:10] What's wrong with that? [00:06:10] That's a double standard. [00:06:11] You sound like just leave Peterson here. [00:06:15] Don't tell me about that. [00:06:16] That's it, gone. [00:06:16] No, look, if a black person is in the commission of a crime and they're using that word over and over, committing a heinous act against another person of color and they use that word, it's not considered a hate crime, but it's a hate crime when a white person says it. [00:06:29] Well, this is what I hear from other black people. [00:06:31] We use that word towards each other. [00:06:33] It's a term of endearment. [00:06:34] It's like saying buddy. [00:06:36] So even when we committing a crime against you, hey, I got a buddy. [00:06:40] I got to do this, buddy. [00:06:41] I got to do this, buddy. [00:06:43] That's what it means. [00:06:43] I'm sorry, buddy, but you had just coming, buddy. [00:06:46] That's what they mean? [00:06:47] Yeah. [00:06:47] Yeah. [00:06:47] That's crazy. [00:06:49] Yeah, that's that. [00:06:51] But, Kevin, if they're actually using the N-word, but I've been around white kids that say that word a lot. [00:07:00] And they're using the same likeness as a person of color. [00:07:04] It's not derogatory. [00:07:05] Yeah, it's not derogatory. [00:07:06] I get that. [00:07:07] But then, but if they say that word in the commission of a crime, automatically, it should be. [00:07:12] No, I don't think so. [00:07:13] The white kid that says that word, he listened to nothing but black music. [00:07:16] He dates nothing but black women. [00:07:17] But when he uses that word in the community. [00:07:18] Do you think those kids that did that date none but black women? [00:07:22] I didn't say that. [00:07:23] I'm just saying. [00:07:24] You just said that. [00:07:25] Yeah, but I'm just trying to make a point. [00:07:27] I'm trying to make a point. [00:07:28] Hey, Kevin, be objective. [00:07:30] I'm being objective. [00:07:31] Be objective. [00:07:32] It's a double standard, right? [00:07:35] You can't call nobody the N-word while you're whooping about it. [00:07:38] It depends. [00:07:40] That makes it a... [00:07:42] Is it the hard ER or is it? [00:07:45] I'm pretty sure it's the hard ER. [00:07:47] Of course. [00:07:48] That's more effective. [00:07:50] Why are you going to use the L then? [00:07:52] You got to go with the good E. Right, I'm just saying that is obvious. [00:07:55] But what if it doesn't end in a hard ER? [00:07:59] You see what I'm saying? [00:08:00] I see what you're saying. [00:08:01] Okay, then. [00:08:01] I see what you're saying. [00:08:02] I'm being objective, right? [00:08:04] Yeah, okay. [00:08:05] But I highly doubt Kevin Dave was using that. [00:08:08] I don't know. [00:08:08] We can't hear it. [00:08:09] They keep beeping everything. [00:08:10] Fire. [00:08:11] One of the videos shows the victim trying to stave off the crowd with a chair before making a run for it. [00:08:15] The aggressors can be heard shouting racial slurs as they catch up with him. [00:08:19] Tucson says Robinson is still recovering physically and emotionally from what happened. [00:08:23] He has a broken tooth. [00:08:26] He has an ongoing concussion to which he still has headaches to this day. [00:08:31] He doesn't remember the entire incident, as well as he had damaged his back and spine. [00:08:37] Police say the teams report of two groups with a history of altercations, but the department confirms one of the suspects is related to a police officer. [00:08:46] Related. [00:08:47] Kevin, family member. [00:08:49] Yeah, that police officer could be a cousin. [00:08:52] Could be an uncle. [00:08:54] You don't think they made it seem like his dad's the police officer. [00:08:58] Kevin, it's still all the same thing. [00:09:01] I know that he's done this stuff before. [00:09:03] And in the previous video, he's like, we run this. [00:09:07] What are you talking about? [00:09:09] I'm just saying. [00:09:09] You don't think he's trying to stay objective? [00:09:12] No, you're not. [00:09:12] You're saying he's emboldened because who his family is. [00:09:15] Yeah, that's what it appears. [00:09:16] Yeah. [00:09:16] Yeah, I agree with you. [00:09:18] Yeah. [00:09:20] But I'm saying objective. [00:09:22] No, you ain't. [00:09:22] No, I'm not making any bias. [00:09:24] No, no. [00:09:25] I'm not making any assumptions. [00:09:27] Something that residents tonight argue represents a more troubling long-term issue. [00:09:31] When we ignore or excuse this kind of behavior, we're sending a message that racism is allowed to exist in our community. [00:09:38] We can't let that happen. [00:09:39] Police have said that relationship has no bearing on this investigation. [00:09:42] Oh, come on. [00:09:44] Come on. [00:09:45] Has no bearing. [00:09:47] I wish I could hear the video with no beats. [00:09:49] Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're using the N-word. [00:09:50] But the employees' family member is cooperating. [00:09:53] Now, the community waits to see whether the investigation delivers the answers and action they're demanding. [00:09:58] Don't offer your community empty placations. [00:10:01] Take action. [00:10:05] Robinson's attorney says he's hoping for a transparent investigation, including for all the suspects to face what he says are appropriate charges. [00:10:13] In the meantime, Simi Valley Police say the investigation is ongoing. [00:10:16] Hey, so what happened in Cincinnati? [00:10:18] They're not being tried with any charges. [00:10:21] And because of that, I don't think nothing's going to be charged. [00:10:26] They're not going to charge these kids. [00:10:27] It depends. [00:10:28] Plus, they're juveniles. [00:10:29] Nothing's going to happen to juveniles. [00:10:31] I think it's going to boil down to boil down to the N-word. [00:10:34] Which one did they use? [00:10:35] Did they use the hard ER or did they use GA? [00:10:39] If they're saying GA, I don't think it'll be. [00:10:42] But if they're using a hard ER, yeah. [00:10:45] I still don't think they're going to bring hate crime charges. [00:10:50] They're not going to do that. [00:10:51] I wouldn't be surprised. [00:10:51] Just because what happened in Cincinnati? [00:10:53] Yeah. [00:10:54] Everything has an impact on everything. [00:10:56] And like, you know. [00:10:57] Yeah, but those people are people of color. [00:10:59] Yeah. [00:11:00] They're hard on white folks. [00:11:02] They like to make white folks. [00:11:05] They like to make an example out of white folks. [00:11:07] I've been in Simi Valley. [00:11:09] Simi Valley is what? [00:11:10] California, right? [00:11:10] Yeah, that's where they let those cups off for beating Ronnie Keith. [00:11:15] I don't think it wasn't. [00:11:16] It was Simeon Valley. [00:11:20] No. [00:11:21] Yeah. [00:11:22] Let me look that up. [00:11:23] Yeah, Simi Valley. [00:11:26] Let me look it up. [00:11:27] Yep. [00:11:29] Rodney. [00:11:30] No, I think that's where the court case was there. [00:11:32] Rodney. [00:11:33] Yeah, they picked a jury from Simeon Valley. [00:11:41] California. [00:11:42] I think you're right. [00:11:43] I think Simeon Valley. [00:11:45] Ventura County. [00:11:49] Specifically, the jury included 10 white members, one Latino, and one Asian individual. [00:11:53] This location was chosen at the trial, then you due to concerns about potential biases. [00:11:58] That's Ventura County. [00:11:59] Oh, look, residents from Simi Valley, a city in Ventura County. [00:12:02] Yeah, you're absolutely right. [00:12:04] Nothing's going to happen. [00:12:07] If those cops can get away with what they did to Rodney King, they ain't going to do nothing to these kids. [00:12:11] They ain't going to do nothing to no teenagers. [00:12:12] But times have changed. [00:12:14] No, not you take those same police officers. [00:12:16] I think they have that. [00:12:17] Shut up. [00:12:18] You take those same police officers that did that horrible, heinous crime against Rodney King. [00:12:22] If that happens today, those cops are convicted. [00:12:25] Well, those cops are convicted of that crime. [00:12:28] Oh, you would, I don't know. [00:12:30] I think we're coming to fall away. [00:12:32] I think everything's getting actually worse. [00:12:36] It's actually getting worse. [00:12:38] Yeah, it's going to boil down to what N-word would they use. [00:12:41] Because a lot of kids from all demographics, all ethnicities, say that word over and over. [00:12:46] It doesn't make you hate mons. [00:12:51] We'll see. [00:12:52] Yeah, we will see.
