Hodgetwins - Man in VIRAL Cop Sucker Punch Video Finally SPEAKS OUT! Aired: 2025-07-24 Duration: 17:06 === Injustice and Police Abuse (13:03) === [00:00:00] On February the 19th, 2025 this year, America saw what America is. [00:00:08] You saw injustice. [00:00:10] You saw abuse of police power. [00:00:14] But most importantly, we saw a young man that had a temperament to control himself in the face of brutality. [00:00:23] William McNeil. [00:00:26] Let me be clear. [00:00:27] And people talk about him pleading guilty to resistance without violence and driving on suspended license. [00:00:34] That entire stop was not just pretextual, racial motivated. [00:00:39] It was unlawful. [00:00:41] And everything they stealed from that stop was unlawful. [00:00:45] What we're not going to do this morning, get it a back and forth between the leaders of Jacksonville. [00:00:50] What we're going to do, we're going to focus on the facts. [00:00:54] And everybody saw the video. [00:00:56] You can release all the body cameras you want. [00:00:59] But the body camera, the cell phone footage was unedited. [00:01:03] And it's a reality. [00:01:05] You could talk about a knife being in the car, but it was not a weapon because he did not weaponize it. [00:01:10] He stayed calm. [00:01:12] The only weapon that day was a Jacksonville sheriff office. [00:01:16] The nation saw it. [00:01:18] Everybody saw it. [00:01:20] And we are here for redress and get justice for the Manil family. [00:01:25] Amen. [00:01:25] Nothing more, nothing less. [00:01:32] William have a long road of recovery to go. [00:01:36] Long road of recovery. [00:01:37] I'm not going to get in his injuries. [00:01:39] You see pictures and things online, but William attended Livingston College. [00:01:44] Banned scholarship. [00:01:45] His president is here today. [00:01:48] So this narrative, they always have this narrative, Ben. [00:01:51] You know, he was a thug. [00:01:54] He was a criminal. [00:01:56] That's the narrative. [00:01:57] Yes, sir. [00:01:57] But William was doing everything. [00:01:59] William was doing everything right. [00:02:02] A college student on scholarship. [00:02:06] Doing what's required of him to be a better person. [00:02:10] And all he did, all he did was exercise his fundamental rights, his God-given rights, to answer a simple question. [00:02:19] Why are you stopping me? [00:02:21] For not having headlights on during the day? [00:02:24] Did y'all see the video where the officers came with no headlights on? [00:02:28] No windshield wiping. [00:02:30] No smoke. [00:02:31] No fog. [00:02:32] No rain. [00:02:34] So anybody would be confused. [00:02:35] Why are you stopping me? [00:02:37] And he exercised a right to ask that question. [00:02:40] And they bullied him, intimidated him, broke his window, and beat him and caused permanent injuries. [00:02:46] No, I'm going to step aside. [00:02:47] We got a lot of folks up here and get a chance to speak. [00:02:50] Here, we'll come back. [00:02:51] Yeah, I got a new show for y'all. [00:02:52] A damn good show. [00:02:53] But before we get to today's video, I've got to tell you about my new giveaway. [00:02:57] F-250 King Ranch and Camper and 10,000 in Cash. [00:03:00] If you're in it right now, I think we're giving away five times inches, right, today? [00:03:04] I think so. [00:03:04] Yeah, five times inches. [00:03:06] And if you're in our VIP, you get all kinds of interest and all kinds of deals. [00:03:09] Go to officialhall2nds.com and get in there today. [00:03:12] Yeah. [00:03:13] You know, we made that point yesterday. [00:03:15] I said all the police showed up with no headlamps on. [00:03:19] Right? [00:03:19] No windshield wipers on. [00:03:20] They said, no, you, I mean, if you got to practice what you preach, if you pull them over not having headlamps, why don't you have your headlamps on? [00:03:28] Yeah. [00:03:30] And that's why they stopped him. [00:03:32] Yeah. [00:03:32] It wasn't because of some knife in the car or because they had his vehicle wasn't registered or his license was suspended. [00:03:40] All that came out at the end after they stopped him. [00:03:43] Yeah. [00:03:43] They I'm thinking. [00:03:46] I don't like that stop. [00:03:46] That stop was bogus. [00:03:48] Yeah, I think so. [00:03:49] I think the stop was an erroneous stop. [00:03:53] And according to the law, if you stop someone erroneously, all evidence you obtain from that stop is inadmissible in court. [00:04:03] It's thrown out. [00:04:03] He could have had 10 dead bodies in that car. [00:04:05] They would have threw it all out. [00:04:06] They would have threw it all out because they didn't have the probable cause to stop him. [00:04:10] Now, there was wrong going on both sides, but we got to teach people, just because you disagree with the police doesn't mean you have the right to obstruct. [00:04:18] Was he obstructing? [00:04:20] Yeah. [00:04:21] If they stop you erroneously, why are you stopping me? [00:04:25] If they stop you for no reason or a false reason, you don't, you don't, well, you actually don't have to give them your license. [00:04:33] But personally, me, to avoid all of this, I would have just gave my license. [00:04:37] That's what I'm saying. [00:04:38] I would have filed a complaint with the office. [00:04:42] I would have given a driver's license. [00:04:44] I would have got out of my car. [00:04:45] I would just play it cool. [00:04:47] Now, once he stepped out of his car, the force they used to arrest him, that was totally unnecessary. [00:04:53] There was a sucker punch before he got out of the car. [00:04:55] I understand you breaking his window to unlock his car door. [00:04:59] But so she break the window. [00:05:01] You do that? [00:05:02] That's uncalled for. [00:05:03] Break the window. [00:05:04] He says, get out of the car. [00:05:07] Yeah, that's excessive. [00:05:08] And then when he gets out of the car, he puts his hand behind his back. [00:05:12] He put his hands behind his back, and there's a punch going up on his chin. [00:05:15] And they said, no, get on the ground and put your hands on your back. [00:05:19] It was just when they arrested him, there was excessive force use. [00:05:23] I think the stop was bogus. [00:05:24] I think the force that was used during the stop was excessive, but he should have just complied. [00:05:30] He would have voted all this and he could have filed his complaint afterwards. [00:05:34] And he wouldn't have these permanent injuries. [00:05:37] Well, I don't think those injuries are permanent. [00:05:40] Well, Kevin, police officers got to know. [00:05:43] Yeah. [00:05:44] When you pull over a black person, they're going to, a lot of times they're going to provoke you. [00:05:52] Yeah. [00:05:52] Because they're trying to get paid. [00:05:54] Right. [00:05:54] They fail for it. [00:05:55] And they fail for it. [00:05:56] So now the taxpayers got to pay for this guy's. [00:06:00] For that police officer. [00:06:01] Access affordable. [00:06:02] Yeah. [00:06:02] So let's get to a statement. [00:06:04] For a Q ⁇ A. [00:06:05] We will have limited Q ⁇ A with William. [00:06:08] His parents is here. [00:06:09] Solomon's Latoya and his stepfather Alton is here as well wearing the red. [00:06:14] Next, I'm going to bring up my good friend, my colleague, Attorney Big. [00:06:18] We home here in Florida, so I had to bring him home. [00:06:21] Me and Crump, come on. [00:06:29] Thank you so very much, Attorney Harry Daniels. [00:06:32] I'm honored to co-counsel with you and Attorney Keith and all these great lawyers, Attorney Jackson and Attorney Robinson, because this is a very, very important case. [00:06:47] As Attorney Daniels said, when William was stopped, there was no rhyme or reason, no rationale for them stopping him. [00:07:01] I mean, this was a classic case of driving while black. [00:07:14] I mean, he can call it that, but. [00:07:16] That's what he was. [00:07:18] Well, the facts, the facts are this. [00:07:20] He is a black man. [00:07:22] He did get pulled over for that using his, having his lamps on in front of his car. [00:07:28] He didn't need those lamps on because it was daytime. [00:07:30] It wasn't raining. [00:07:31] So, I mean, the facts state that he got put over being black, but I don't think that's state of America to all black people. [00:07:38] I just think this is an overzealous cop. [00:07:41] I don't think this is an epidemic in this country because they do this stuff to white people. [00:07:45] They do this stuff to Latino. [00:07:46] They do this to everybody. [00:07:48] But they want to emphasize this happened because it's black. [00:07:52] I don't think necessarily that's true. [00:07:54] I don't think that's true. [00:07:55] Okay. [00:07:57] What do you think? [00:08:01] Was he pulled over because he was black? [00:08:03] Or was an overzealous cop? [00:08:05] Being black didn't help the case. [00:08:07] That's all I'm going to say. [00:08:11] And I applaud William McNeil for keeping his demeanor, his calmness. [00:08:22] That's true. [00:08:23] He didn't throw not one punch or anything. [00:08:25] He was not combative at all. [00:08:27] Those cops. [00:08:30] They break the wood. [00:08:31] Get out of the court. [00:08:32] They're looking like a episcopeen from the purge. [00:08:36] I mean, Attorney Daniels, I thought the trained police officers were supposed to be the ones to de-escalate the matter. [00:08:45] They were the ones escalating the matter. [00:08:47] He asked for a supervisor. [00:08:49] Should have just waited for the supervisor to come out there. [00:08:52] Right, right. [00:08:54] While this young man represented the best of us, he kept calm. [00:08:59] He was trying to de-escalate the matter. [00:09:02] He just kept asking simply, why are you. [00:09:05] He did try to de-escalate. [00:09:06] He asked for a supervisor. [00:09:08] But when you get... [00:09:09] No, no, no, ain't no but that could de-escalate the situation. [00:09:12] He said, I want to talk to a supervisor. [00:09:14] Right. [00:09:14] Why didn't they have a supervisor come out? [00:09:16] Right. [00:09:16] Maybe one of those was the supervisor, but it just seemed like they jumped the gun. [00:09:20] He did, they didn't give him, honor his request for a supervisor. [00:09:23] That could have de-escalated. [00:09:25] I've seen countless traffic stop videos where the supervisor came out there and de-escalated the entire security. [00:09:30] Yeah, yeah, that's true, but he's not the judge. [00:09:34] He's not the jury. [00:09:35] He's not the person who makes the cops was the jury. [00:09:40] They had an executioner to that day. [00:09:42] Let me say this. [00:09:43] Let me say this. [00:09:45] He should have just complied and filed a complaint. [00:09:47] Yeah, but just because he didn't complain. [00:09:49] You agree with me on that, right? [00:09:50] Yeah. [00:09:51] He should have just complied and filed a complaint after the fact, right? [00:09:54] Yeah, but that stayed in. [00:09:56] That doesn't justify what the cops did. [00:09:58] I didn't say that. [00:09:59] That stop was bogus, and the force they used to arrest him was success. [00:10:03] Yeah, okay. [00:10:04] Stopping me. [00:10:06] I mean, think about that. [00:10:08] I understand the sheriff said anti-police. [00:10:12] No, no, no. [00:10:13] It's not anti-police when an American citizen asks, why are you stopping me? [00:10:21] That is an American citizen exercising his constitutional rights. [00:10:27] That's what William was doing. [00:10:30] He was exercising his constitutional rights. [00:10:34] And Attorney Daniels and I seek to remind America that we are a democracy. [00:10:42] I think he's really close to his mom. [00:10:45] I mean, if I'm a grown man and I just, that happened to me, I don't need my mama to hold me. [00:10:51] He's a mama's boy. [00:10:53] Where's his dad at? [00:10:54] I'm sure his dad is there somewhere. [00:10:56] His dad ain't there. [00:10:56] Come on. [00:10:57] I think his daddy's there. [00:10:58] Where? [00:10:59] That we believe in the Constitution and that all American citizens have a right to the protections of the Constitution. [00:11:10] You have a right to ask questions, but you don't have a right to tell the cops what to do. [00:11:13] Hey, you have a right. [00:11:14] You have a Fourth Amendment right. [00:11:16] Yeah. [00:11:16] You don't have to give your cops your information, your ID, unless they have a probable cause to stop you, a legitimate probable cause. [00:11:24] Yeah, and the cops felt that it had a legitimate cause. [00:11:26] But I don't think that's going to hold up in court. [00:11:29] I don't think it is either. [00:11:30] Constitution, that this is not a police state where the police are above the law and that they have no accountability. [00:11:41] No, the last time I checked, America is still a democracy, and our citizens still have a right to the Constitution. [00:11:51] We're not a democracy. [00:11:53] We're a constitutional republic. [00:11:55] Why is this dude up here? [00:11:56] He's like, he's about to fall asleep. [00:11:58] Probably got narcolepsy. [00:11:59] That day, I just really wanted to know why I was getting pulled over. [00:12:05] Wait, man, he's got a chip tooth, don't he? [00:12:06] I needed to step out the car. [00:12:08] Man, I know I didn't do nothing wrong. [00:12:12] Wait a minute. [00:12:13] Freeze it real quick. [00:12:14] His mouth didn't look like that during the stop. [00:12:17] They said he had permanent injuries. [00:12:18] I thought they were just hyperbolic talk. [00:12:21] But it looked like he's missing half a tooth, his front tooth. [00:12:24] His mouth didn't look like that during the stop. [00:12:30] I was really just scared. [00:12:33] Just see that video made me go back to the moment when I was 22. [00:12:38] It hurt it. [00:12:41] Who is that? [00:12:41] That's his stepfather. [00:12:43] He said it hurted. [00:12:44] No, it hurt. [00:12:48] It hurt it. [00:12:50] It made me upset. [00:12:54] But I seen what my son did that I had to do. [00:12:58] And he sucked right. [00:13:00] He did right. === The Cost of Compliance (04:01) === [00:13:04] I agree. [00:13:05] His son did everything right. [00:13:06] To see that. [00:13:09] Well, not really. [00:13:10] He should have just gave him his license. [00:13:12] Yeah, that's right. [00:13:13] He didn't do everything right, but he refrained from violence and escalating situation. [00:13:17] But he did obstruct. [00:13:19] Yeah, I've seen countless people get pulled over by the cops and they push back on the cops. [00:13:22] No, that was an erroneous stop. [00:13:24] You have no proper calls to stop me. [00:13:25] And the cops just go the other way because they know they're in the wrong. [00:13:28] And it was there was under a fishing expedition. [00:13:32] Right, right, right. [00:13:35] It is a hurting fitness to be a father that loves God first and to see all my kids not being able to wake up in the morning. [00:13:50] Man, they finna get paid. [00:13:52] Yeah, they got doing a good performance. [00:13:55] They fit to get paid. [00:13:57] These people ain't got to work another day in their life. [00:13:59] His son, his stepdad, his mama, he's probably getting like a couple bill, 3 million. [00:14:04] That doesn't mean they'll be broke in six months. [00:14:08] Everybody's going to have Cadillacs. [00:14:09] They get more than 3 million. [00:14:11] You think so? [00:14:11] Yeah. [00:14:12] I want to get my phone call sent. [00:14:14] Your child is gone. [00:14:16] That's a hurting feeling, but I thank God. [00:14:19] Yes. [00:14:19] Because God got it. [00:14:21] I want you to try to put yourself in our shoes. [00:14:25] Try to put yourself in William's shoes just for a second. [00:14:30] The police stop you and tell you, you say, why are you stopping me? [00:14:35] And they say, well, you don't have your hairlights on and it's raining. [00:14:40] And you look and you're like, there's no rain. [00:14:44] Why are you stopping me? [00:14:46] And all he does, well, I say it's a Rosa Parks 21st century moment. [00:14:52] He, as a black person, says, you know, I'm tired of it. [00:14:58] I'm going to try to demand my constitutional rights. [00:15:03] That's the only thing that William McNeil did. [00:15:06] And that's the only thing you would want your children to do. [00:15:10] To say, as a citizen, don't I have the right to know why you're violating my Fourth Amendment rights against search and seizure unlawfully? [00:15:21] Yeah, a lot of people don't realize that a cop, just because they're a cop, can't just walk up to you. [00:15:26] Hey, I need to see your license. [00:15:28] What's your name? [00:15:28] What are you doing standing right here? [00:15:32] You look suspicious. [00:15:33] Yeah, you have a Fourth Amendment right to tell that cop to go suck it. [00:15:37] But listen, black. [00:15:39] He's still. [00:15:40] But listen here, Black America. [00:15:42] This lawyer is giving some very bad advice. [00:15:44] If you disagree with the police officer, just comply. [00:15:47] Don't obstruct. [00:15:48] You're going to make things worse for yourself. [00:15:49] You might end up losing your life or you might end up getting a multi-million dollar settlement. [00:15:54] The risk is too much for me. [00:15:55] I'm just going to give you my license. [00:15:56] I tell my kids the same thing. [00:15:57] Just comply. [00:15:58] You have your day in court. [00:15:59] More than likely, these cops will never even show up in court. [00:16:02] Yeah. [00:16:03] You know, and it's going to get dismissed. [00:16:04] Yeah. [00:16:05] That's it. [00:16:06] Nothing more. [00:16:07] So search your hearts, America. [00:16:09] If this was your child, if this was your child. [00:16:13] Our kid ain't doing it. [00:16:13] Wouldn't you be proud that William kept his calmness in his demeanor and de-escalated it? [00:16:23] And let that govern you when you call on the sheriff to hold these police officers accountable. [00:16:30] Because that's what we have to get here. [00:16:32] We have to have accountability. [00:16:35] Man, y'all are going to get a lot of people. [00:16:37] People think that William McNeil. [00:16:39] No, just comply and just show. [00:16:42] You're going to have your day in court. [00:16:43] Both sides did wrong. [00:16:44] But the only one that's got any money is the cops. [00:16:48] So they got to pay. [00:16:49] Yeah. [00:16:50] I'm thinking that they're going to settle for around probably 6-7. [00:16:55] I'm thinking around 6-7. [00:16:56] Hey, you got to take in consideration inflation. [00:16:59] $2, $3 million ain't what it used to be. [00:17:04] Alright, we'll cut it off.
