Hodgetwins - Walgreens Is Abandoning Chicago's Black Neighborhoods. Aired: 2024-01-26 Duration: 09:14 === Black Communities Delusional (02:52) === [00:00:00] Yeah, got a new show for y'all. [00:00:02] Got a damn good show. [00:00:04] Damn good show. [00:00:05] I hate to say it, man, but black people are delusional. [00:00:08] There's a community of people. [00:00:09] I hate to generalize, but man, y'all, y'all crazy. [00:00:13] Y'all delusional. [00:00:14] Y'all live in this. [00:00:16] Y'all live in fairy tale land. [00:00:17] See, I'm starting to rub off on you. [00:00:20] That's good, man. [00:00:21] Took you a while, but you catch it on. [00:00:23] No, see, up in Boston, Walgreens is closing a lot of stores. [00:00:26] Why? [00:00:27] Because of the Negroes? [00:00:28] Well, they're closing a lot of stores all over the world. [00:00:30] They're systemically racist. [00:00:32] Is that why? [00:00:33] They're closing. [00:00:34] They're closing. [00:00:35] They're closing down. [00:00:36] Take a breath. [00:00:37] They're closing a lot of stores all over the country, but they're hitting the brown in black communities more. [00:00:44] It's racist. [00:00:47] These Negroes need their meds. [00:00:49] They need to go fill the prescriptions. [00:00:51] Where the nigga gonna go? [00:00:54] That's what the black people are saying. [00:00:55] Yeah. [00:00:56] Yeah, look, they're protesting. [00:00:57] Watch this video. [00:00:58] Come on, man. [00:01:01] Holding signs in protest. [00:01:02] The communities of color for health equity is demanding this Roxbury Walgreens remain open. [00:01:09] The stores telling customers it will close next Monday, January 15th. [00:01:13] Many seniors and those without transportation now concerned how they'll get their prescriptions. [00:01:19] For Tim Winworth and Walgreens, this is all about business. [00:01:23] But for us, it's a matter of life or death. [00:01:26] A few months ago, Reverend Minyard Culpeper learned he has a blood plant in his brain. [00:01:31] Like many, he uses this Walgreens for his prescriptions. [00:01:34] It's just the latest Walgreens to shut its doors in recent years. [00:01:38] Several in black and brown communities. [00:01:40] And some say it's an insult to close on Martin Luther King Day. [00:01:45] How insensitive. [00:01:46] The history of this building is that my godfather, Donald Sneed, used to have a bank here. [00:01:52] It was the first blank bank in New England. [00:01:55] So this group of organizers hand-delivered this letter to the Walgreens area corporate office in Marlborough today, demanding Walgreens delay the closure. [00:02:04] And let's work out a plan. [00:02:06] Let's work out a realignment that's a win-win for everyone. [00:02:09] In the past, Walgreens has said it's closing 200 stores nationwide this year, citing changing buying habits. [00:02:16] It's offering customers use another store a mile away or mail order prescriptions. [00:02:22] But for some, it's an uphill battle to keep this store open. [00:02:26] We tend to get this kind of information when it's almost too late. [00:02:30] We reached out to Walgreens for an updated statement, but have not yet heard back. [00:02:34] There's another protest planned here for Friday at 4 p.m. [00:02:40] Why didn't y'all protest all the shoplifters going there stealing everything? [00:02:44] Sounds like they're just not profitable. [00:02:47] You know how Starbucks has got a store on each corner? [00:02:50] And they're stealing business from each other? === White Men Stealing Business (05:12) === [00:02:53] And some business have to close down because they can't compete with the other Starbucks. [00:02:57] That's what's happening. [00:02:58] Walmart is just too many stores. [00:03:00] I mean, Walgreens, too many stores. [00:03:02] That has nothing to do with it. [00:03:03] That's what it sounds like to me. [00:03:04] What it says, my boy. [00:03:05] They said changing. [00:03:07] What do you say? [00:03:08] They said changing how people order their prescriptions. [00:03:11] That's what they said. [00:03:14] I ain't heard nothing about them niggas stealing. [00:03:18] Kevin, Keith. [00:03:22] That's a black community. [00:03:23] I didn't see not one white person coming out of this store. [00:03:25] You know why? [00:03:27] Black neighborhood. [00:03:28] Black neighborhood, crime. [00:03:31] Shoplifting. [00:03:33] I mean, it happens in the white communities too, but black people are ambitious when it comes to crime. [00:03:38] Yeah, it happened in white neighborhoods, but it's also the black people doing it. [00:03:44] These white people shoplifted. [00:03:45] Let's get the facts through. [00:03:47] White people be shoplifted too. [00:03:48] Yeah, white people shoplift. [00:03:50] I'm not denying that. [00:03:51] But it's the majority. [00:03:52] It's the Negro. [00:03:54] He ain't the majority. [00:03:55] No, let's just listen to this. [00:03:57] Stick to the facts here. [00:03:59] Hey, Kevin. [00:04:00] That's a fact, Keith. [00:04:02] Yeah, I'm gonna show you this other thing. [00:04:03] Facts can't be racist. [00:04:05] You know why? [00:04:06] Why? [00:04:07] Because it's a fact. [00:04:08] Hey, opinions can be racist. [00:04:11] Right? [00:04:12] Yeah. [00:04:12] Do you follow me on this? [00:04:13] Opinions can be racist, but a fact by its very nature can be racist. [00:04:19] A fact can be racist. [00:04:20] Like black people. [00:04:21] Like black people got thick lips. [00:04:24] Is that racist? [00:04:25] No, it's a fact. [00:04:26] Black people have dark skin. [00:04:28] Is that racist? [00:04:28] Nope. [00:04:29] It's a fact. [00:04:30] Black people got broad noses. [00:04:32] Is that racist? [00:04:33] Not all black people have big noses. [00:04:34] Black people got kinky hair. [00:04:36] Is that race? [00:04:37] No. [00:04:38] I kept them stuck. [00:04:39] White people got thin lips. [00:04:41] Is that racist? [00:04:41] No. [00:04:43] All right, man. [00:04:44] I mean, how long are you going to keep kicking this dead horse? [00:04:47] I'm just making my point. [00:04:48] Hey, look at this next video. [00:04:50] This is why they really closing these stores down. [00:04:52] Why? [00:04:52] Look. [00:04:54] So apparently, this female was shoplifting. [00:04:59] She's apparently known to be a shoplifter. [00:05:04] I guess when they stopped her, she put up a fight with the security. [00:05:11] Sir, stop. [00:05:12] Stop. [00:05:15] It is. [00:05:16] It is. [00:05:17] Shoplifting is a big thing over here, too, just so you guys know. [00:05:21] It's a big problem. [00:05:22] I know. [00:05:23] I hear it. [00:05:23] It's a big problem. [00:05:24] I see. [00:05:24] Especially when it's the same person. [00:05:26] I know. [00:05:26] Trust me. [00:05:26] I see it. [00:05:27] And then they want three times today. [00:05:30] I got two boys in that room last week. [00:05:33] Same person three times? [00:05:34] Wow. [00:05:34] This ain't even the other people. [00:05:36] Right. [00:05:40] Well. [00:05:43] Three times in one day, they're saying this. [00:05:48] So that's that's the problem. [00:05:49] A lot of these businesses are losing a lot of revenue because of the shoplifting thing. [00:05:54] And a lot of people don't realize that. [00:05:56] If you go to some of these shelves, especially in the Roxbury area, some parts of Dorchester as well, a lot of shelves are becoming empty because of shoplifting. [00:06:04] See, they're in Roxbury. [00:06:06] Where were they protesting? [00:06:07] Roxbury. [00:06:07] It's the same Walgreen store. [00:06:09] Oh, that's why they're closing down. [00:06:11] They don't tell people the truth. [00:06:12] I stand corrected, Keith. [00:06:13] I was wrong. [00:06:14] I was wrong. [00:06:16] The reason why they're closing is because these niggas don't appreciate anything. [00:06:23] That's why they closed. [00:06:24] Yeah, it turns out they're closing on Martin Luther King Day. [00:06:26] They're rubbing in. [00:06:28] No. [00:06:28] No, man. [00:06:29] Come on. [00:06:30] This just happened to fall on Martin Luther King Day. [00:06:32] You crazy as hell. [00:06:35] The best day to close down a store in a black neighborhood is on Martin Luther King Day. [00:06:41] Gotta keep these Negroes on their toes. [00:06:45] Gotta keep them honest. [00:06:47] I mean, you can just see how lucky the protesters are. [00:06:50] They're still wearing masks. [00:06:52] Y'all outside. [00:06:53] Do you actually think that virus? [00:06:55] Hey, Keith. [00:06:56] Hey, listen to this. [00:06:57] Hey, Keith. [00:06:58] If I'm a white man and I go into a black neighborhood and open Walgreens, try to help these niggas, right? [00:07:03] They don't pitch at me, stealing, robbing, I ain't making no profit. [00:07:06] I'm closing that bitch on Martin Luther King Day. [00:07:10] I'm having a meeting with all the executives and I'm gonna close that bitch on Martin Luther King Day. [00:07:15] I'm gonna get the last laugh. [00:07:20] Yeah, man. [00:07:21] Come on. [00:07:22] That's not a coincidence. [00:07:23] Them people playing that shit. [00:07:25] He said, you know what? [00:07:25] We're gonna close. [00:07:27] I got a good idea. [00:07:28] Let's do it on Martin Luther King Day. [00:07:32] That's what they did, man. [00:07:34] That wasn't a coincidence. [00:07:35] No, but see, the black people, they think white people is just racist. [00:07:38] And that's why they're closing down the store. [00:07:40] Y'all not looking at the bigger picture. [00:07:42] Yeah, they have a sense of entitlement because they black and they pull. [00:07:47] Yeah, it's like the entire. [00:07:48] It's like y'all, y'all think y'all entitled to something. [00:07:51] Yeah. [00:07:51] Y'all ain't entitled to nothing. [00:07:53] Yeah. [00:07:54] That's a private business. [00:07:55] If they want to move and close shop, that's their right to do so. [00:07:59] It doesn't matter what color the skin of the residents, the main people that is, you know, engaging in activity in that store, it has nothing to do with it. === Good Clean Black People (01:08) === [00:08:05] It all depends on profits. [00:08:07] And you see the people that was protesting, those are good, clean black people. [00:08:11] They look respectable. [00:08:12] They ain't too clean. [00:08:12] They're some Biden supporters. [00:08:15] That's an oxymoron. [00:08:16] Good, clean, black Biden supporter. [00:08:22] Hey, man. [00:08:23] Hey, why don't you cut up? [00:08:24] Let me see. [00:08:25] Keith, that is about as an oxymoron as a damn transgender child. [00:08:30] A good, clean, black Biden supporter. [00:08:33] That shit don't make no sense. [00:08:35] Hey, Biden supporters up in Boston. [00:08:37] Why don't y'all ask the Biden administration to give money to Walgreens to keep them in y'all city instead of giving them to Ukraine? [00:08:44] See what they tell you. [00:08:46] No, that way. [00:08:48] No, I can't do it. [00:08:49] Sorry. [00:08:50] But they are racist. [00:08:51] Don't you forget that. [00:08:52] You gotta vote for me. [00:08:53] Maybe I can do something about it in the future, though. [00:08:56] Yeah. [00:09:01] When are you Negroes going to learn?
