Hodgetwins - Walmart Is Leaving Black Communities Because Of This Aired: 2023-06-07 Duration: 08:24 === Walmart Leaving Black Communities (07:29) === [00:00:00] Yeah, got a new show for y'all. [00:00:03] Got a damn good show. [00:00:05] All right, so we did a video on this maybe a couple weeks back. [00:00:08] Yeah, did a couple videos about Walmart leaving Chicago. [00:00:11] Yeah, and then, you know, all these politicians was complaining. [00:00:14] Hey, you know that saying they say, once you go black, you never go back. [00:00:17] Yeah. [00:00:18] Not in Walmart's case. [00:00:19] Once you go black, you go running back. [00:00:22] Go to the white people. [00:00:25] Once you go black, you go running straight back to the suburbs. [00:00:33] I shouldn't have said that. [00:00:34] That was inappropriate. [00:00:35] That was reprehensible, what I just said, but I don't give a crap. [00:00:39] That was facts. [00:00:40] It was a good joke, too. [00:00:41] That was facts. [00:00:42] That was a damn good joke. [00:00:43] That was facts. [00:00:44] It was offensive, but it was a damn good joke. [00:00:47] Well, it was based in reality. [00:00:48] It was factual. [00:00:49] Yeah, it's factual. [00:00:50] Right. [00:00:50] So, you know, and then all the politicians came out and they were saying, man, this is racist. [00:00:54] Y'all taking this away from the black community. [00:00:57] What are they going to eat now? [00:00:59] Right? [00:00:59] But this is, I came across this video on YouTube. [00:01:02] Now, I'm not sure what her political affiliation is. [00:01:05] Being black, she's more likely. [00:01:07] She's a Democrat, but who knows? [00:01:09] That's not why I chose her video. [00:01:10] She gave an objective, rational response while Walmart left. [00:01:15] It's irrelevant what's her political affiliation. [00:01:17] It doesn't matter. [00:01:17] She's spitting facts. [00:01:19] She's spitting truth. [00:01:20] And this is, if she is, if she is left-leaning, she's a true liberal. [00:01:27] Yeah. [00:01:28] Check out her response while Walmart left Chicago. [00:01:31] Yeah. [00:01:32] Walmart told us in a statement that their annual losses nearly doubled in Chicago in the last five years. [00:01:38] That losing millions of dollars a year is forcing them to close these stores. [00:01:43] Walmart is closing four stores in areas where they are saying they're not profitable, right? [00:01:51] And people are outraged. [00:01:54] I mean, outraged. [00:01:56] So the big Walmart over on 83rd and Stewart is closing. [00:02:02] And today they've been having a bunch of protests, angry people out. [00:02:07] People are just angry and sad, protesting Walmart. [00:02:11] We got politicians out there making speeches, saying, How could Walmart do this to the community? [00:02:17] And now they're calling Walmart racist for taking a resource out of the black community. [00:02:23] And how dare them? [00:02:25] They need to explain how it is that Walmart is not profitable when this store is always full. [00:02:31] It's always packed. [00:02:32] People are always shopping. [00:02:34] Do y'all want Walmart to just like come out and say it? [00:02:39] Y'all ninjas still. [00:02:41] Black people need to stop lying. [00:02:43] We really need to stop lying. [00:02:45] Like, I sincerely hate the blind, misplaced anger. [00:02:53] It's like that Walmart was completely destroyed during the riots during COVID. [00:03:00] I mean, completely destroyed. [00:03:02] They even set something on fire in that store, set off the sprinklers, and flooded the entire store. [00:03:08] And Walmart said, the hell with y'all. [00:03:11] We're not reopening this store, period, because it's not worth it. [00:03:15] So what happened? [00:03:16] The community came together, protested, petitioned for Walmart to reopen that store. [00:03:22] I don't even think it's been a full two years, I don't think it's been a full two years since that Walmart has reopened. [00:03:27] So Walmart said, okay, we'll give it another shot. [00:03:30] We'll reopen the store because we know that the community needs it. [00:03:34] Talking to one of the managers in there, and he was just telling me how bad the theft is at that store. [00:03:41] Not only the theft is terrible, they have a lot of violent incidents. [00:03:45] I think maybe it was just two weeks ago someone got killed up there. [00:03:48] I hate going to that store. [00:03:50] I go to that store out of necessity. [00:03:53] I honestly go to that store out of necessity when I'm tired and I just don't feel like driving anywhere else. [00:04:00] Now, the day after Walmart announced that they were closing four stores, the very next day, somebody went in there and stole six TVs out of the store. [00:04:11] And y'all want to sit out there and protest and say, how could they do this? [00:04:15] They are, they are hurting our community. [00:04:18] Well, Walmart was a resource for this community. [00:04:21] The community did not protect that resource, so the resource is going away. [00:04:28] And people are upset and calling Walmart racist because of this move. [00:04:33] Please make it make sense. [00:04:35] Hey, hey, everybody. [00:04:36] White flight happens again. [00:04:41] White flight. [00:04:42] Well, she brings up a point. [00:04:44] Hey, it's white flight right there. [00:04:45] They can't deal with them niggas. [00:04:48] You niggas hold another level. [00:04:52] Yeah, it's just that, hey, white flight is real, man. [00:04:56] White flight is real. [00:04:58] You can't expect white people to stay in the neighborhood when they can't make no money. [00:05:04] You can't expect black people to stay in there. [00:05:06] Exactly. [00:05:06] You can't expect Chinese. [00:05:08] You can't expect anybody to stay in the neighborhood with the area of the theft and the crime and the violence and the theft. [00:05:13] Is that bad? [00:05:14] No, people in the business. [00:05:16] Walmart's in the business of making money. [00:05:18] Yeah. [00:05:19] I mean, not only this, I mean, she told during COVID, during those rots, they destroyed that store, that store. [00:05:26] So you know they lost millions when that happened, right there alone. [00:05:29] And then also had a theft problem to begin with. [00:05:32] And then you got people getting killed up there. [00:05:34] Yeah. [00:05:34] I mean, that's a liability for the company just to have their employees working in a violent area. [00:05:39] Yeah. [00:05:40] That's a huge liability for them. [00:05:42] They sitting there blaming white folks. [00:05:44] Walmart, they're racist. [00:05:45] Black people was complicit in that store's demise. [00:05:48] They were complicit. [00:05:49] Yeah. [00:05:50] Y'all, all that, everything that's happening to the black community is virtually self-inflicted. [00:05:57] Yeah, self-inflicted. [00:05:59] Y'all played a huge role in your own demise. [00:06:02] If that store is making money, they're not leaving. [00:06:04] If that store is not experiencing high levels of theft, that store is still there. [00:06:08] If you niggas stop back like a bunch of crazy lunatics, you will still have a Walmart. [00:06:14] But white people ain't putting up with that foolishness. [00:06:17] You think the Waltons gonna put up with a bunch of niggas? [00:06:23] Remember the old show, The Waltons? [00:06:25] Yeah, I'm a John Boy. [00:06:26] John Boy ain't putting up with that shit. [00:06:29] I can guess every time I hear that company, the owner of the company. [00:06:32] The Waltons, I think of that Little House of the Prairie. [00:06:34] Them wholesome, clean white folks. [00:06:38] That's what I think of when I think of the Waltons. [00:06:40] I think of the Walton family and John Boy. [00:06:44] I bet John Boy up in the executive office said, Yep, you're tired of these niggas. [00:06:48] Pack your shit up. [00:06:48] We leave. [00:06:49] Yeah. [00:06:51] We going somewhere. [00:06:52] I'm going to the suburbs. [00:06:54] Yeah. [00:06:55] But the politicians in Chicago, what did they say? [00:06:57] They spinning it. [00:06:58] Oh, this is. [00:06:59] They spinning it. [00:07:00] This is racist. [00:07:01] They politicize. [00:07:02] This is, they don't like our kind over here. [00:07:05] Yeah, they don't like the Negro. [00:07:07] Yeah. [00:07:08] They politicize. [00:07:09] This is white supremacy. [00:07:10] They embellishing the story to sensationalizing it. [00:07:14] They're doing it for political spin, man, to get votes. [00:07:17] And black people, y'all believe them. [00:07:20] And the black people bleeding, y'all was up in the damn, y'all probably, man. [00:07:23] They don't believe that. [00:07:24] They lying. [00:07:25] Just like she said, y'all stop. [00:07:40] That's like telling a man you can menstruate. [00:07:44] That's like telling a woman she got foreskin. [00:07:48] Ain't gonna happen. [00:07:51] Ain't gonna happen.
