Hodgetwins - Don Lemon Schooled on Reparations Question Regarding the Royal Family’s Wealth Aired: 2022-09-22 Duration: 08:37 === Wealth and Slavery in Africa (08:37) === [00:00:00] Yeah, got a new show for y'all. [00:00:02] Got a damn good show. [00:00:04] So Don Lemon. [00:00:06] He ain't talked about Don in a while, huh? [00:00:08] It's been a while since we talked about good old Don. [00:00:13] Right, so I guess, you know, the queen just passed, right? [00:00:16] And everybody and everything, and it's coming out how much wealth this woman has accumulated over the years, right? [00:00:24] And that stamp collection is ridiculous. [00:00:27] Yeah, I guess she owned like a, how much was it in stamps? [00:00:30] $5 billion? [00:00:31] It was like, she's got a bunch of stamps worth a billion dollars. [00:00:36] I mean, her wealth is like, it's like sick. [00:00:39] Yeah, I mean, sick wealth. [00:00:41] I don't believe in white privilege, but if it did exist, I would say it's the royal family from this. [00:00:47] White people got $5 billion in stamps. [00:00:51] It's a stamp collection. [00:00:53] $5 billion. [00:00:55] But anyway, Her Wealth has came out. [00:00:57] And so CNN, Don Lemon, was interviewing this, I guess you could call her a British scholar, academia, right? [00:01:04] And he asked her, with all this wealth, should, you know, the royal family be paying reparations? [00:01:11] Check it out. [00:01:13] Some people want to be paid back. [00:01:15] And members of the public are wondering, why are we suffering when you are, you know, you have all of this vast wealth? [00:01:20] Those are legitimate concerns. [00:01:23] Well, I think you're right about reparations in terms of if people want it, though, what they need to do is you always need to go back to the beginning of a supply chain. [00:01:30] Where was the beginning of the supply chain? [00:01:33] That was in Africa. [00:01:34] And when that crossed the entire world, when the slavery was taking place, which was the first nation in the world that abolished slavery? [00:01:41] The first nation in the world to abolish it. [00:01:43] It was started by William Wilberforce, was the British. [00:01:46] In Great Britain, they abolished slavery. [00:01:49] 2,000 naval men died on the high seas trying to stop slavery. [00:01:54] Why? [00:01:55] Because the African kings were rounding up their own people. [00:01:58] They had them on cages waiting in the beaches. [00:02:00] No one was running into Africa to get them. [00:02:02] And I think you're totally right. [00:02:04] If reparations need to be paid, we need to go right back to the beginning of that supply chain and say, who was rounding up their own people and having them handcuffed in cages? [00:02:12] Absolutely. [00:02:13] That's where they should start. [00:02:15] And maybe, I don't know, the descendants of those families where they died in the high seas trying to stop the slavery, those families should receive something too, I think, at the same time. [00:02:26] It's an interesting discussion, Hillary. [00:02:28] Thank you very much. [00:02:28] I appreciate it. [00:02:33] You didn't see that one coming, did you, Donnie? [00:02:37] Somebody with an agent. [00:02:39] For some reason, black people think white men got on boats, went out to Africa, got off the boat, and they started running and chasing down niggas. [00:02:47] That's not how it went. [00:02:48] I know white people are great, but they're not that damn great. [00:02:52] Jeez. [00:02:53] Yeah, no, Africans captured other Africans and had them right there, chained up, cages, whatever have you. [00:03:00] And when the white man put up, say, look, this is what I got for sale today. [00:03:03] Look at that nigga right there. [00:03:05] He's six foot two, 225 pounds. [00:03:08] Look at the back on that nigga. [00:03:10] He's got a bad ankle, but he can lift a lot, you know? [00:03:13] See, this nigga's niggas fast. [00:03:14] He can catch chickens, pigs. [00:03:17] He do all that. [00:03:19] He's like a damn roadrunner. [00:03:20] Yeah. [00:03:21] Yeah, look at he's an old man. [00:03:22] He's, I just throw him in if you get this expensive one. [00:03:26] I'll throw him in for free. [00:03:27] He'll be a good house servant for you. [00:03:29] But that was the Africans. [00:03:31] Yeah. [00:03:31] The Africans captured Africans and sold them. [00:03:36] They initiated the transaction. [00:03:39] Yeah. [00:03:41] See, this is what happened. [00:03:43] Niggas opened up a nigga store on the beach. [00:03:46] White man came up and said, what you got? [00:03:48] Got any sales going? [00:03:50] Oh, you got a good sale going. [00:03:52] It's a Black Friday sale, huh? [00:03:58] It was a Black Friday sale they had going. [00:04:00] Hey, you know what? [00:04:01] Black African kings and queens sold other black Africans for bags of sugar and mirrors. [00:04:08] Isn't that crazy? [00:04:09] They sold other black people to white people because the white man gave them like bags of like sugar and the mirror so they can see that nice, beautiful black face of theirs. [00:04:17] And them gold chains he was wearing. [00:04:19] Yeah, if anybody should owe reparations, it should be Africa. [00:04:22] I mean, I mean, that's the reason why we have slaves across the world that was coming from Africa because they were captured by their own people and sold to other races of people, other nationalities, other religions-based people in slavery. [00:04:35] Yeah, so all the people that's in America that's black asking for reparations, you really don't know your history. [00:04:40] And these are the very same people that look at me. [00:04:43] Oh, nigga, you don't know your history. [00:04:44] Why are you a Republican? [00:04:46] These are the same black people in America calling themselves African Americans. [00:04:50] African Americans. [00:04:50] I don't, I'm not African American. [00:04:52] Fuck Africa. [00:04:53] I'm a black American. [00:04:56] I don't want nothing to do with Africa. [00:04:57] But it's weird because you got these American Negroes. [00:05:03] Come about them African American. [00:05:05] And then they like, that's the mother country. [00:05:07] Yeah. [00:05:08] And they got all this allegiance for that country who sold your ancestors to a bunch of pale white men. [00:05:14] Yeah. [00:05:15] And you got allegiance to them. [00:05:17] But you don't have allegiance to America. [00:05:18] You don't want to stand for our flag. [00:05:20] You want to call this country racist, but you continue to reside here. [00:05:24] There's no other country better for a minority than America. [00:05:29] The best country for a black man is America. [00:05:32] Not Africa. [00:05:34] You don't believe me? [00:05:35] Go to Africa. [00:05:36] Live there. [00:05:37] Go check it out. [00:05:38] Go have your drink of water. [00:05:40] Yeah, I hope you don't get malaria. [00:05:43] I hope you don't shit out your damn intestines from that damn, all that damn bacteria in the border. [00:05:48] Well, not all America. [00:05:49] Some of the places are civilized. [00:05:51] Yeah, some places are civilized where the white people are at. [00:05:54] But where the niggas live? [00:05:56] No, I mean, no, man, where the majority of the blacks live, that place is messed up. [00:06:01] Yeah. [00:06:02] All right, that's real talk right there. [00:06:04] Man, that's horrible, man. [00:06:06] I mean, it's hard for me to say that, but it's the truth. [00:06:10] Got to go find a white man. [00:06:13] White man got toilets, running water. [00:06:16] Yeah, white man got elevators, got light bulbs. [00:06:20] They got white man got toilet paper. [00:06:23] They got coffee. [00:06:25] They got, they got, they got Big Macs. [00:06:29] White man got fast food. [00:06:31] Got fries. [00:06:32] Got electricity. [00:06:34] What else white man got? [00:06:35] White man got cars. [00:06:37] Hey, white man, white man can even make you some wave grease. [00:06:42] Got you some weave. [00:06:44] White man came up with perms. [00:06:48] Hey, you need the white man in your life. [00:06:50] We need each other. [00:06:51] Yeah. [00:06:52] In all actuality, diversity. [00:06:55] We need diversity. [00:06:56] Diversity as I say. [00:06:58] Where would the United States, where would the NFL be today without the black man? [00:07:04] You know? [00:07:06] Where would the NBA be? [00:07:08] You know? [00:07:10] We need each other. [00:07:11] Yeah. [00:07:11] They're like the ball players. [00:07:13] They need a good white man. [00:07:17] That's why all the coaches are white. [00:07:19] They're great. [00:07:22] I'm just playing. [00:07:24] Yeah, I'm just playing. [00:07:24] I'm mocking the shit out of people. [00:07:26] I'm triggering people. [00:07:27] I'm just joking. [00:07:28] But we need each other. [00:07:30] I mean, you go to the rural eras of Africa where predominantly the population is black. [00:07:35] These people are still carrying 10 gallons of junks of water on their head. [00:07:40] If the water don't kill you, that damn tiger in the damn bushes will kill your ass. [00:07:44] They still live in grass huts. [00:07:46] Yeah. [00:07:48] Yeah, but who started all that was the black people's capture. [00:07:51] Yeah. [00:07:52] Because like I said, white people is not chasing down young, vibrant African Negroes. [00:07:57] Yeah, they keep assimilating that oh, racism is only from white people. [00:08:02] Slavery is all because of white man. [00:08:04] No, a majority of it was from our very own people. [00:08:07] Yeah, that's how it got started. [00:08:09] Yeah. [00:08:10] The white man, the white man, they abolished it. [00:08:14] The white man abolished it. [00:08:16] There's still some African slaves in Africa. [00:08:19] There's still slaves in the world. [00:08:20] I'm not saying white people ain't some white people ain't racist. [00:08:23] There was some racist some bitches went there and got them black. [00:08:25] I ain't not saying it was. [00:08:27] I'm not saying white people is perfect. [00:08:29] I'm just saying black people ain't perfect either. [00:08:32] Yeah, nobody's perfect. [00:08:33] Oh, yeah, it's a damn good show. [00:08:36] Spit some facts in this bitch.
