Gavin Foolsom Tells Californians To “Raise Your Thermostat to 85 degrees!

Gavin Foolsom attacks Governor Gavin Newsom, blaming San Francisco and Los Angeles for rolling blackouts while mocking the governor's advice to raise thermostats to 85 degrees during a historic drought. He argues California is a desert prone to evaporation rather than suffering from water scarcity, ridicules a campaign ad inviting Floridians to relocate by claiming false narratives about voting rights and vaccines, and concludes that despite these alleged lies, Newsom remains a popular leader whom Californians genuinely respect. California Drought Reality Check 00:06:28
Yeah.
Got a new show for y'all.
Time for you Californians to wake up.
Vote red.
Vote Republican.
Y'all had an opportunity to recall Newsome.
Yeah.
But you voted for the jackass anyway.
Hey, but seriously, this dude is a train wreck.
Yeah, he is.
They're having rolling blackouts because they don't have enough energy to supply to its own citizens of that state.
Yeah, but you know, majority of, I mean, it's not Californians, real.
It's not really their fault, you know.
I mean, you just got the two cities, the two, San Francisco and LA, they ruined it for everybody.
A bunch of idiots in those cities.
Yeah, a bunch of bats.
Whole state's red, but Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What a shame.
But beautiful state.
Two cities, you used to live there.
I used to live in California for 15 years.
The weather's great for the most part.
And I remember them damn rolling blackouts.
It sucked without going, having to go without power for four hours.
I remember the state was bankrupt when we lived there.
It was like literally bankrupt.
They were broke.
Like you would get a, you would do a tax refund, a state tax refund.
The government said, we ain't got your money.
We're already spent this shit.
Do you remember that?
Yeah, I'll do that.
But anyway, look what Gavin Newsom has to say about the rolling blackouts and the energy problem there in California.
Gavin Foolsom.
We've talked often about the drought here in the state of California.
Last year, we experienced something related to the drought we had never experienced in the history of this state.
One of our largest sources of hydroelectricity in the state of California at the Oroville Dam, the Hyatt power plant, had to be shut down.
First time in history.
We encourage you before you leave home, if you can turn those thermostats up to 85 degrees.
85!
Reduce demand, particularly with so many of the automatic thermostats that we all have and enjoy.
We want to make sure, again, we're not using unnecessarily and consuming unnecessarily too much electricity.
Hey, how do you do that?
Wait a minute.
So if I got my AC on 75, that's consuming too much electricity.
Yeah, you got to put it to 85.
I'm just trying to survive.
Hey, think about this.
84 is too much.
83, 82, 80 degrees.
You know what your house feels like at 85 degrees?
You think he misspoke?
No, that dude's dead serious.
Y'all, you serious?
85 degrees?
Hey, do y'all see what he's wearing?
Do you think he's sitting in a room where the thermostats on 85?
Yeah, he's not even sweating.
If he's in a room and it's at 85, he's pouring sweat.
And he mentioned something that the California's in a drought.
How many years are y'all going to keep calling this a drought?
This has been going on for two decades.
It's longer than that.
You've been writing songs that it never rains in Southern California for 50 years.
Like, when are y'all going to stop calling it a drought and just start calling California a desert?
Which is, that's what it is.
Y'all live in a desert.
Just because y'all move in and stall a couple of toilets, some damn sprinkler systems, you still live in a desert.
Yeah.
Won't you just own up to that you suck?
Accountability.
Accountability.
The word today, kids, is accountability.
We live in Nevada, Las Vegas.
This place is a desert.
It hasn't rained in like five years.
We don't have rolling blackouts.
It's hot as shit.
It's hot as hell out here.
Everybody's blasting the AC.
Yeah.
Everybody.
Yeah.
I have my AC blasting at 70 all day long.
We don't have rolling blackouts because our infrastructure is up to par.
Your grid system sucks.
You suck.
Gavin Fulsom, you suck.
And what's a shame is people don't see it.
People run to the polls every year to vote for a Democrat governor.
Yeah, let me say this.
He mentioned something about because of the drought, which is not a drought.
It's just your climate.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, Fulsom.
You're not having a drought.
You live in a desert.
That's misinformation they keep pushing.
Yeah, thank you, Captain.
Office already said that.
Why you keep saying it's a drought?
Hey, if I'm in a rainforest, it's raining every day.
We having flash floods.
Here in the damn rainforest.
Are we really having flash floods?
No.
You live in a rainforest.
You live in a desert and y'all keep pulling.
And a lot of people in California, it still works.
Y'all don't see through the bull crap.
Yeah, let me say something.
We're going to say it then, man.
He mentioned something about the power plant being shut down.
It's offline because of Lake Orville.
It's drying up.
The water levels is drying up, huh?
Yeah, it's drying up or something, right?
Since when do rivers and lakes dry up?
Let me say something.
But that's the thing.
Lake Orville, it's a man-made lake.
Yeah, it's not a lake.
It's man-made.
It wasn't meant to be that.
Y'all put up a dam and said, look, this is a lake now.
Look at all the water.
I got an idea.
Let's create a whole damn power system around this damn lake.
We could do hydropower, be green.
It'd be great.
It's going to be amazing.
We're going to show all the states how it's done.
What happens when it doesn't rain there?
Yeah, it's not a lake.
It's just, y'all just took a bunch.
Y'all got a Walmart swimming pool.
That's what y'all got.
That shit's supposed to dry up.
Y'all did what beavers do.
They take a bunch of damn sticks and damn off a little stream.
So, look, we got some damn lake going over here.
Y'all a bunch of damn beavers.
You blaming that it's a drought, but it's not really a drought.
That's just BS.
You live in a desert and you kind of saying that's why the lake's dried up, but that's not really the case.
It's man-made.
It's supposed to dry up.
The water that, if you put water in the desert, what happens?
It evaporates.
I mean, what's happening right now in California is supposed to happen.
You know, the water's going, it goes to somewhere where it's not.
It's probably going to the rainforest.
Hey, let me see.
Because you don't supposed to have water in deserts.
You jackass.
Hey, let me say this.
Y'all remember that commercial Gavin Newsom ran to have people come from Florida and to live in this state?
Why would people leave a free state to go to a communist state that don't have power?
Florida Freedom Under Attack 00:02:15
Hey, check out this ad.
He paid money out of this campaign fund.
But he don't got to spend any money.
Yeah.
He knows everybody in California is a moron.
Let's go spend it where somebody's got brains.
Maybe we can trick them.
Hey, check out this ad.
And Gavin Fulson.
It's Independence Day.
So let's talk about what's going on in America.
Freedom is under attack in your state.
Republican leaders, they're banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors.
I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight or join us in California.
But we still believe in freedom.
Freedom of speech.
Freedom to choose.
Freedom from hate and the freedom to love.
Don't let them take your freedom.
Paid for by Newsom for California Governor 2022.
God says.
Hey, man, if anybody should be fact-checking, it should be this ad.
This is missing all kinds of contexts.
I mean, aren't y'all the ones that's like, you can't even carry a gun in that state.
Like, you talk about freedom.
And then when it came with the COVID vaccines and you couldn't...
I have family that lives in California.
For him to work at his bank, he works at the bank, he had to be vaccinated.
To go into the hospitals, you have to be vaccinated.
To work as a nurse, you have to be vaccinated.
A lot of employees...
To work as a cop, to work for the government, you have to be vaccinated.
You have to be vaccinated.
To go to school.
You have to be vaccinated.
Yeah, but you're talking about that's not taking away people's freedoms to live their life.
But in Florida, they didn't push that on cops, firemen, teachers, nurses.
They didn't fire nurses, cops.
Yeah, because they didn't get a vaccine.
California did, but Florida didn't.
But you're saying Florida is taking away people's freedoms?
Everything you said is like a lie.
Even a moron will believe anything.
He called Democrat voters.
Only those people believe that.
Even the term vaccinated, it's kind of misleading because they had to change the definition of what a vaccine was.
Yeah.
This is a joke.
He's not a joke, man.
He's big time.
People in California look up to this man.
You know?
He's not a joke.
People love him.
Yeah.
Fuck.
That was a damn good show.
