Hodgetwins - Trevor Noah Discusses ‘The Talk’ Black Families Have With Kids About Police Aired: 2021-04-17 Duration: 17:22 === White Liberals Control Thoughts (03:04) === [00:00:00] Yeah, got a new show for y'all. [00:00:03] Got a damn good show. [00:00:06] Yeah. [00:00:07] But before we start the show, remember everybody, you can always support the Haws Twins at officialharshtwins.com. [00:00:14] Pick you out a patriotic t-shirt today, or maybe a hat, or maybe a white privilege card, or maybe some bird products. [00:00:25] Use discount code Chinese virus. [00:00:28] I'm going to give you 20% off. [00:00:30] Yeah. [00:00:37] Y'all know what's wrong with this country? [00:00:39] Tell them, kid. [00:00:41] Tell them what's wrong with this country, man. [00:00:43] Thanks for your permission. [00:00:46] Y'all know what's wrong with this country? [00:00:49] The left is always pushing this perception like this country is just horrible for black people, that this country is systemically racist. [00:00:58] Yeah. [00:00:59] That's what's wrong with this country. [00:01:01] Well, I think it's just black people can't think for themselves. [00:01:06] They let white liberals control how they think. [00:01:08] Just say Democrats, because there's some stupid black liberals out there, too. [00:01:12] What? [00:01:14] You said white liberals, there's some stupid black liberals out there. [00:01:18] Like the white liberals prop up these black liberals because black people give other black people more respect when it comes to politics. [00:01:28] But the white liberals put these black liberals in front of them. [00:01:31] And these black liberals are not pushing them but these white liberal talking points. [00:01:35] Yeah. [00:01:36] That's what I said. [00:01:40] That's exactly what I said. [00:01:42] But you took a whole lot longer to explain it. [00:01:44] Black people can't think for themselves. [00:01:46] White liberals control how they think. [00:01:49] Well, they can think for themselves. [00:01:50] No, they can't think for themselves. [00:01:52] Yeah, they can. [00:01:52] We land too. [00:01:53] You forgot we black. [00:01:54] We ain't liberal. [00:01:55] We're conservative. [00:01:56] Totally different branch of we talking about two different species, man. [00:02:06] Well, the black liberal tends to think with their skin color. [00:02:10] Yeah. [00:02:11] Personally, my skin color does not factor into the equation of how I think. [00:02:17] Yeah. [00:02:17] White liberals, that's the reason why they think like that, man. [00:02:20] They think everything's based on skin color, like everything's based on your race. [00:02:25] Yeah, they view the world through a racist prism. [00:02:30] Yep. [00:02:31] Through racist bifocals. [00:02:33] Yeah. [00:02:33] Right? [00:02:34] I'll give you a perfect example of this. [00:02:37] Trevor Noah. [00:02:38] Yeah. [00:02:39] They say, what's this show called? [00:02:41] The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah. [00:02:45] Yeah. [00:02:45] Which is very interesting how they put that because that's not Trevor Noah's show. [00:02:48] Yeah. [00:02:49] Some white liberals writing all them jokes. [00:02:51] Yeah, he's reading everything he says is coming from a teleprompter. [00:02:54] It's not, it's like us. [00:02:57] When we cut on camera, this shit is live. [00:03:00] Yeah, this is us. [00:03:01] This ain't nobody writing this. [00:03:02] This is how I feel. [00:03:04] This is what I think. === Police Interactions and Race (13:07) === [00:03:05] Yeah. [00:03:06] It's like at all these Hollywood shows with these black liberals running it. [00:03:10] They are being told what to say. [00:03:11] They have a teleprompter in front of him. [00:03:13] Yeah. [00:03:14] So before I go any further, check out just the sheer stupidity. [00:03:23] This dude is willing to sell this show after somebody wrote it down and put on a teleprompter. [00:03:27] I think it's kind of funny, really. [00:03:28] He's just scaring people. [00:03:30] And people are just too naive and too ignorant. [00:03:33] And black people, you just need to take ownership of your own lives to be responsible for your own actions. [00:03:38] Stop letting people dictate how this world is being ran and how you live your life. [00:03:45] Yeah. [00:03:46] Check out the video. [00:03:48] Every encounter between a police officer and a black person is fraught with danger. [00:03:54] In fact, there's something in black families called the talk. [00:03:57] Never heard of it. [00:03:58] I don't know if my white viewers know about this. [00:03:59] I mean, maybe it's one of those things that black people do that you've never heard of before. [00:04:03] You know, like laying edges or putting plastic bags on your Jordans when it rains. [00:04:08] But believe me, every black family knows what the talk is. [00:04:13] Never heard of it. [00:04:14] We call it the talk. [00:04:15] A discussion black parents have had with their children for generations. [00:04:19] A conversation that you and I have to have that, that it is tantamount to their survival. [00:04:24] At some point, you will get pulled over. [00:04:26] No shit. [00:04:26] And here is how you act. [00:04:28] Put your hands on the stairs. [00:04:31] He was going to say windshield. [00:04:32] Make sure the lights are on. [00:04:34] Don't do anything without police permission. [00:04:38] Ask before you get your registration. [00:04:40] That's common sense. [00:04:42] Question and challenge the police officers like everybody else. [00:04:45] Dumbass. [00:04:46] You guys just have to be a little wiser in terms of how you communicate and not agitate the situation anymore than it is. [00:04:53] Stupid. [00:04:55] Obey. [00:04:56] Come home. [00:04:57] The talk will always happen in black households. [00:05:00] That's right. [00:05:01] Police violence is such a threat that somehow the most uncomfortable talk you have to have with your kids is the one where you don't use the word semen. [00:05:09] What? [00:05:10] So we know that black people know what's at stake and have methods of how to handle being pulled over by the police. [00:05:16] No, they don't. [00:05:17] Hey, obviously, these all these incidents just happened in the news with George Floyd, Dante Wright, Eddie Gray. [00:05:24] I mean, the list goes on and on. [00:05:26] They have not heard the talk. [00:05:28] They have not got the memo. [00:05:29] All these people resisted arrest. [00:05:31] All these people did not follow commands. [00:05:33] Obviously, everybody in the black community has heard of the talk. [00:05:38] I mean, you're, I mean, okay, so I've been on this planet for over, I'm in my late 40s, right? [00:05:48] I'm black. [00:05:49] I've been living in the United States my entire life. [00:05:53] I've had hundreds of interactions with police, and each and every one of them was because of what I did. [00:06:00] Yeah. [00:06:01] Not because I was black. [00:06:02] Yeah. [00:06:03] And each and every encounter I had with police, even though some of them were assholes, they somewhat treated me with respect. [00:06:14] I mean, I was never humiliated. [00:06:16] I was never, I was never called boy. [00:06:19] I was never been handcuffed and sat down on the side of the street just for a traffic violation because I always followed their commands and I followed their directions. [00:06:26] So it's like he makes these jokes about the talk and how white people don't have to have this talk. [00:06:32] Yeah, they don't have this talk because it's common sense. [00:06:34] It's like drinking from the toilet. [00:06:37] It's common sense. [00:06:38] You don't need that talk. [00:06:41] Yeah, white people don't need this conversation because it goes without saying it's in your damn DMV handbook. [00:06:47] When you get pulled over by the cops, show the cops some respect. [00:06:50] Follow their commands. [00:06:52] Follow their directions. [00:06:53] That's in the DMV handbook. [00:06:55] And it's just common sense. [00:06:57] A little respect goes a long way, especially for a police officer who's been pulling. [00:07:01] A police officer's job can be very negative. [00:07:04] Just pulling people over all day and just writing tickets and getting, I mean, it's just, it could be very hard on a police officer. [00:07:11] So when a police officer pulls you over, if you just show him a little respect, a little courtesy, because he's just doing his job. [00:07:18] You're the one that was speeding. [00:07:20] It was you who was breaking the law. [00:07:22] He's just doing his job. [00:07:23] And that job is dangerous. [00:07:25] They have no idea who you are for the most part. [00:07:28] And it's like, let me say this. [00:07:30] It's like, okay, majority of these incidents that's been in the news, if they would have followed the talk, they would be still alive today. [00:07:39] 99.9% of them. [00:07:41] You guys are really admitting if you would follow the cops' commands and follow their directions, this conversation wouldn't even be needed. [00:07:50] Yeah, so you're kind of telling on yourself. [00:07:53] These people are not being killed because they're black. [00:07:56] They're not being hunted down because they're black. [00:07:58] They're getting killed because they're putting themselves and the officers' lives at risk. [00:08:03] That's why these things are happening. [00:08:05] Yeah. [00:08:06] I mean, when these things happen, I mean, I just feel like I'm compelled. [00:08:09] I have to have this conversation with my son. [00:08:11] I really don't have to. [00:08:12] My son's got a brain. [00:08:13] I mean, a 10-year-old kid knows better than this. [00:08:16] Like, every time something like this happens in the news, I sit down with my son. [00:08:20] He always says, Dad, why are they resisting? [00:08:23] Why are they not following the police officer's commands? [00:08:25] Like, I don't know, son. [00:08:27] Another incident goes by. [00:08:28] Son, look, you see what happened? [00:08:30] Yeah, why is he resisting that? [00:08:31] I was like, I don't know, son. [00:08:33] Then this thing with Dante Wright sat down with my son again because I don't want nothing like this to happen to my son because I'm looking at this every day on the news and my son says, Daddy, I know, I know. [00:08:43] Don't resist. [00:08:44] Don't do dumb. [00:08:46] He said that. [00:08:47] He said that. [00:08:48] You're raising that boy good. [00:08:50] That's going to be a damn good black man. [00:08:57] Man. [00:08:57] Did you just have said, son? [00:09:00] I'm proud of you. [00:09:02] I mean, y'all telling people to put their hands on the steering wheel and it's totally unnecessary. [00:09:10] Just be normal. [00:09:12] I mean, if I'm a cop and I see a guy with his hands on the steering when he's scared to move, it's going to freak me out. [00:09:17] Because it's not normal. [00:09:18] It's suspicious. [00:09:19] It's not going to freak him out. [00:09:20] Just be normal and just follow the cops register. [00:09:23] I mean, you give me your registration. [00:09:24] Can you hand me your license? [00:09:25] Yeah, I mean, I'm sure the cop will appreciate it if you do have your hands up. [00:09:28] It's not going to freak him out. [00:09:29] I've never did that. [00:09:30] I mean, I've never did it neither. [00:09:31] And the cop has never asked me to do that. [00:09:33] That's a scare tactic. [00:09:35] That's just, you know what? [00:09:37] That's just a talking point that they put in these shows for other black people to scare them. [00:09:43] I've never act like that with a police officer. [00:09:45] I'm just sitting. [00:09:46] I'm just like this. [00:09:47] Yeah. [00:09:48] Just be normal. [00:09:49] Be respectful. [00:09:51] You don't have to worry about anything unless you've committed or broke the law. [00:09:56] And if you did and you're wanting for something real bad, when they tell you to get out the car, put your hands behind your back. [00:10:02] Don't resist. [00:10:03] That's part of the talk. [00:10:08] Hey, let me say this. [00:10:10] And if this talk is really a thing in black communities, in black homes, I mean, I don't really think it is. [00:10:17] My mama never had that talk because, like I said, this is common sense. [00:10:20] Why ain't Black Lives Matter performing the talk nationally? [00:10:26] Yeah, why have they set it up in high schools? [00:10:29] Maybe transform the DMV handbook when you take a test. [00:10:33] Maybe have a section of that on a test. [00:10:34] Yeah, have a section just specifically for black folks. [00:10:38] What not to do if you're black. [00:10:40] I mean, and I'm laughing because white people have to follow the same rules and they follow them. [00:10:46] That's why you don't see this in the news. [00:10:48] Another reason why you don't see the news because they're white. [00:10:50] Nobody cares. [00:10:52] Only black lives matter. [00:10:53] And the reason why they say black lives matter is so they can scare you and divide this country. [00:10:58] That's the whole point of that. [00:10:59] It's not to help or save black people. [00:11:01] Yeah, and this is like, it was like one clip when the guy said you have to submit. [00:11:05] When you get put over a cop, he used the words submit and obey like you're a damn slave. [00:11:09] Like the cops are dominatrix or something. [00:11:12] Like you got to get on your knees and suck the cop off of something. [00:11:15] No, it's not. [00:11:16] See, this is the problem. [00:11:18] Black people use these certain terms because they think they are slave if they have to answer to some police officer pulling them over for breaking the damn law. [00:11:26] It's not submitting. [00:11:27] It's not, what's the other word he used? [00:11:30] Submitting, obey. [00:11:32] You just following his commands, his instructions. [00:11:36] That's just being part of a civilized society. [00:11:40] That's all that is. [00:11:41] It's not you being a slave or be any less human. [00:11:43] White people got to abide by the same rules. [00:11:45] See, that's how black people say it. [00:11:47] White people say, follow the instructions. [00:11:50] Yeah. [00:11:52] Everybody. [00:11:52] Yeah, he has the power to do that. [00:11:54] He is a police officer. [00:11:55] Yeah. [00:11:57] Submitting and obeying. [00:11:59] Yeah, a lot of the stuff you hear from black, for black people, man, is written by liberals and it's just a bunch of hyperbole and it's meant to scare you and it's meant to really keep you thinking a certain way. [00:12:11] Yeah. [00:12:12] That's what it's meant for. [00:12:13] And if you black people would just start thinking for yourself, being responsible for your actions, you don't have to be scared of police officers. [00:12:22] Yeah. [00:12:23] You don't have to wonder if you're going to be shot. [00:12:25] Yeah. [00:12:25] If you do break the law, if you do break the law, just don't resist. [00:12:32] A majority of these people will be alive, except for a few exceptions. [00:12:37] This wouldn't even be an issue right now. [00:12:38] Yeah, I don't even understand why Trevor's having this show. [00:12:41] Yeah. [00:12:42] Because here on the right, that's what we always say. [00:12:45] He's actually doing using a right talking point. [00:12:51] If this actually worked the talk, and it does work, because I followed the talk my entire life. [00:12:57] I didn't have the talk. [00:12:58] It's common sense. [00:12:59] It's common sense. [00:13:00] So why isn't Black Lives Matter? [00:13:02] Why ain't you, Trevor Noah? [00:13:03] Yeah. [00:13:04] When these incidents happen where there, majority of them are resisting arrests, why don't you ever point that out then? [00:13:10] Because if you actually followed the talk, these incidents would not happen. [00:13:14] Yep. [00:13:17] See, this dude is not stupid. [00:13:19] If he sit down and talk and this show was just his show, he would be pointing this stuff out. [00:13:23] But like I said, this is not his show. [00:13:25] They're telling him what to say, how to say it. [00:13:28] And it's stupid jokes that he makes. [00:13:30] But I want to point out one thing. [00:13:32] This is our show. [00:13:33] I have no producers, no writers. [00:13:35] This is us speaking to you. [00:13:37] I don't have nobody writing jokes or telling me what to say. [00:13:39] Trevor Noah, you have somebody telling you what to say. [00:13:44] You're shucking and jibing. [00:13:47] How is Trevor Noah going to react if a cop does a felony stop on you and your vehicle matches a description of something just happened, a robbery where somebody was killed? [00:13:55] You finished the description of a... [00:13:57] What is Trevor Noah going to do? [00:13:59] Trevor Noah like, sir, yes, sir. [00:14:02] Yeah, here's my idea. [00:14:03] I just came from my show shooting the show. [00:14:06] Yes, I'm not resisting. [00:14:08] You ain't going to resist or anything. [00:14:09] You're going to follow his instructions. [00:14:11] But when something just happens, you'll never point that out. [00:14:14] You don't point out what Trevor Noah would do. [00:14:17] You don't point out what you do in your life to make yourself successful. [00:14:21] You point the blame at the police officer. [00:14:24] When the person, if they would have just held them, made themselves accountable, followed instructions, it wouldn't happen. [00:14:30] Y'all are such full of shit. [00:14:33] This is how he closes out his show. [00:14:35] But the talk still hasn't been able to prevent police violence against black people. [00:14:40] So maybe it's not black people who need a talk about how to act around the police. [00:14:46] Maybe, just maybe, police need a talk about how to act around black people. [00:14:53] No, no, those black people that's been shot and killed, 99.9% of them are not taking the instructions from the talk. [00:15:01] The police officers know how to act. [00:15:03] These people that's being shot and fairly shot and resistant arrest, they need to sit down and readjust what they're doing. [00:15:08] And see, they know what they're doing. [00:15:11] They don't care. [00:15:12] So it's the cops' fault. [00:15:14] They need to learn how to act around. [00:15:17] Did he say black people? [00:15:19] He said that. [00:15:22] So you got to act a certain way around black people? [00:15:26] You're pretty much saying black people need to have special privilege when it comes to police interactions. [00:15:31] That's what you're saying, because there's been over 100 police officers killed in this country. [00:15:35] Maybe, just maybe, Trevor, we need to sit down and talk with some old black people and make sure they know how to act around police officers. [00:15:45] Just maybe. [00:15:48] There was a damn good show. [00:15:50] Yeah. [00:15:53] Michael Indell, true patriot. [00:15:55] He needs our help. [00:15:56] Here's a man who started from nothing. [00:15:58] Built a great company, great products. [00:16:01] Have seen rock bottom, have seen the worst. [00:16:03] He ran through drug addiction. [00:16:05] Yeah. [00:16:06] I mean, this man has accomplished so much things. [00:16:08] He's the epitome of the American dream. [00:16:10] He worked hard, has a successful business, great products. === Building a Great Business (01:09) === [00:16:12] And just because he supported the president of the United States, they've taken him out over 20 stores. [00:16:17] They're abandoned him on social media. [00:16:19] He's having a tough time even marketing his products. [00:16:22] Yeah. [00:16:23] In this country, he's a man, a principal. [00:16:25] He has employees. [00:16:27] He's got a great product. [00:16:28] And just because he has different political opinions, big tech wants him to go away.
