Hodgetwins - AOC responds to Representative Yoho’s criticism Aired: 2020-07-25 Duration: 10:27 === Ted Yoho's Victim Narrative (03:22) === [00:00:00] AOC, it's always something happening to you. [00:00:04] Yeah, you always a victim. [00:00:05] People don't treat you fairly. [00:00:07] Man, sounds horrible. [00:00:10] But anyway, AOC got into it with the representative down there in Florida by the name of Ted Yoho. [00:00:20] Yeah, a member of the white patriarchy in this country. [00:00:26] Hey, that evil white patriarchy that's just keeping women down. [00:00:34] AOC, even if that was true, how the hell did she get elected? [00:00:40] Makes you think, don't it? [00:00:42] If that was true, how is women getting into Congress? [00:00:45] How is women becoming CEOs? [00:00:47] How is women becoming lawyers, doctors? [00:00:49] It's an evil patriarchy, though. [00:00:51] How did a woman run for president damn near win? [00:00:56] But anyway, she got into it with Ted Yoho, right? [00:00:59] Yeah. [00:01:00] And she responded with this epically victimizing speech. [00:01:07] I know what she was thinking. [00:01:08] I've seen this same song and dance. [00:01:10] Victimize, victimized, victimized. [00:01:12] Don't let a crisis go and waste. [00:01:14] I'm going to use this opportunity, turn it into a crisis, turn it into a crisis, victimize women. [00:01:19] Man, I'm going to get all kinds of votes. [00:01:23] Check out our speech. [00:01:25] I was minding my own business, walking up the steps, and Representative Yoho put his finger in my face. [00:01:33] He called me disgusting. [00:01:35] He called me crazy. [00:01:36] He called me out of my mind. [00:01:40] And he called me dangerous. [00:01:43] And in front of reporters, Representative Yoho called me, and I quote, a fucking bitch. [00:01:50] These are the words that Representative Yoho levied against a congresswoman. [00:01:57] The congresswoman that not only represents New York's 14th congressional district, but every congresswoman and every woman in this country. [00:02:04] Because all of us have had to deal with this in some form, some way, some shape at some point in our lives. [00:02:14] And this kind of language is not new. [00:02:17] I have encountered words uttered by Mr. Yoho and men uttering the same words as Mr. Yoho while I was being harassed in restaurants. [00:02:28] I have tossed men out of bars that have used language like Mr. Yoho's. [00:02:34] And I have encountered this type of harassment riding the subway in New York City. [00:02:40] This is not new. [00:02:42] And that is the problem. [00:02:46] And that's when we start to see that this issue is not about one incident. [00:02:52] It is cultural. [00:02:54] It is a culture of lack of impunity, of accepting of violence and violent language against women in an entire structure of power that supports that. [00:03:06] All right, so, man, that was a lot of name callers. [00:03:10] So he calls you crazy. [00:03:13] Crazy. [00:03:14] Calls you, calls you out of your mind. [00:03:19] Crazy and out of your mind. [00:03:21] Those go hand in hand. === Dangerous Name Calling Escalates (05:25) === [00:03:22] Same thing. [00:03:24] What it called you dangerous, called you disgusting. [00:03:28] Oh, wow. [00:03:30] And even called you a F and B. [00:03:33] Oh, man, the F and B word. [00:03:36] Oh, man. [00:03:37] Hey, if that's true, I'm not saying it is. [00:03:39] I wasn't there. [00:03:40] You accusing this man of saying that. [00:03:42] But if he did say that in your face, you F and B. If he did that, I would say, AOC, I'm on your side, man. [00:03:52] That's a little bit... [00:03:54] That's disgusting. [00:03:57] That's over the line. [00:03:58] He jumped over the line. [00:04:00] He pulled himself up by his bootstraps and jumped over the line. [00:04:06] Right? [00:04:07] But I'm still trying to figure out, AOC, where is the lie? [00:04:15] Yeah, those statements are pretty accurate. [00:04:17] I mean, do you recall the filth that has emanated from your mouth over the last couple years? [00:04:25] You probably don't, so we're going to help you. [00:04:27] We're going to remind you. [00:04:29] Do you want to abolish ICE? [00:04:32] Abolish ICE. [00:04:33] Open our borders. [00:04:34] Did you learn anything in history class? [00:04:37] Do you remember a man named Christopher Columbus? [00:04:40] He came here with open borders. [00:04:42] Took out everybody. [00:04:43] You remember 9-11? [00:04:44] You just can't have people coming and going. [00:04:46] And besides, AOC, how many kids are being brought in this country illegally as sex slaves? [00:04:51] You're going to make them more vulnerable. [00:04:54] Don't you care about people of color? [00:04:57] Don't you care about women? [00:04:59] Yeah. [00:05:00] She even used the verbiage that ICE traffics kids across the United States. [00:05:09] And she also called the detention centers concentration camps. [00:05:14] Why would you choose that verbiage? [00:05:16] Trafficking, concentration camps. [00:05:18] Ain't you minimizing what happened in the Holocaust? [00:05:22] Millions of Jews were killed. [00:05:24] They were actually being exterminated from the planet. [00:05:28] I don't recall Jews being fed and given free health care and diapers and baby formula provide for their kids. [00:05:36] Yeah. [00:05:36] That's what's going on at the border. [00:05:38] So why do you use that trust of language? [00:05:40] Some people would say what you said is crazy. [00:05:43] Out of your mind. [00:05:45] Oh, we had a twin moment. [00:05:46] Some people call you an F and B. Some people will call you dangerous. [00:05:54] You have millions of followers on Twitter. [00:05:57] It doesn't stop that, man. [00:05:59] You want to defund the police. [00:06:02] Our most vulnerable, our children and our women in our inner cities are going to be exposed. [00:06:07] You're encouraging more criminals to commit more crimes. [00:06:11] Look, the reason why we have a civil society in the United States is because of the rule of law. [00:06:18] We have the cops to enforce those laws. [00:06:20] You get rid of the cops. [00:06:21] You don't have a gatekeeper. [00:06:23] You don't have a court system. [00:06:25] You don't have a DMV. [00:06:27] You don't have judges, lawyers. [00:06:29] You don't have anything. [00:06:30] Without police, a barbaric society would rise in this country. [00:06:35] It would turn into your friends, old naked woods, Somalia. [00:06:39] Yeah. [00:06:41] Don't you understand now while some of the things you are saying, somebody could call you dangerous. [00:06:47] I mean, look what you've called our president. [00:06:50] Yeah, you're talking about somebody calling you names. [00:06:53] Yeah. [00:06:53] How many times have you called the president of the United States a racist or a white supremacist? [00:07:00] That's not very nice, AOC. [00:07:02] Yeah, that's 10 times worse. [00:07:04] 10 times is worse, man. [00:07:05] Than being called to be, I mean, a white supremacist, a race, that is pure evil. [00:07:09] I'll put them in the same class as murderers. [00:07:12] Yeah, rapists. [00:07:13] Pedophiles. [00:07:15] Yeah. [00:07:16] Serial killers. [00:07:18] That's evil to call somebody, especially with no proof. [00:07:22] And especially the president of the United States. [00:07:27] That's dangerous. [00:07:29] She claims there's a culture in this country that prevents women from being successful. [00:07:35] Instead of victimizing yourself, ALC, why don't you choose to empower women? [00:07:40] Tell them to do what you did. [00:07:42] You was actually a bartender. [00:07:44] You empowered yourself. [00:07:45] You actually pulled yourself up by your bootstrap. [00:07:49] I know you like that. [00:07:50] Yeah. [00:07:51] I think this beach pull yourself up by your bootstraps. [00:07:54] Only she pulls herself up by bootstraps, you janked yourself up in there, flipping around, and now look where you at. [00:08:00] You in Congress, one of the most powerful women in this country. [00:08:05] I would say some of the things that emanated from that office you call a mouth, I would say those things are very dangerous, especially the following you have. [00:08:13] Yeah, I mean, it doesn't even stop there. [00:08:16] You killed the Amazon deal to your citizen. [00:08:18] That was what, how many jobs was that? [00:08:21] Man, there's a lot of jobs. [00:08:22] I think it was like 25,000. [00:08:23] You killed. [00:08:24] Six-figure jobs. [00:08:25] You eliminated billions of dollars in tax revenue for your state, your city, your district. [00:08:32] Yeah. [00:08:33] You don't think that's dangerous? [00:08:36] You don't think people might see you and say, you're out of your mind. [00:08:40] You're crazy. [00:08:42] You're disgusting. [00:08:44] You know, but see, that was the whole point of her speech, though. === Killing Jobs for Votes (01:39) === [00:08:47] Yeah. [00:08:48] It was to victimize herself. [00:08:50] Yeah. [00:08:51] Right? [00:08:52] Yeah. [00:08:52] It was to victimize herself so she could appeal to her female base. [00:08:58] Yeah. [00:08:59] She's not going to tell women, look, I was a bartender. [00:09:02] Now look where I'm at. [00:09:03] No. [00:09:03] She sees this as an opportunity to grab more votes. [00:09:07] Yeah. [00:09:08] That's what she's doing. [00:09:09] She's like, I'm going to get all kinds of votes. [00:09:11] Yeah. [00:09:12] And for all kinds. [00:09:13] Yeah. [00:09:14] And from what I read about Representative Ted Yoho, he didn't direct those. [00:09:19] If he said it, he said it, so be it. [00:09:21] Stuff like this happens all the time in all jobs. [00:09:24] To think that this doesn't happen in Congress or Senate, you got to be out your mind. [00:09:28] Today, politics is very polarizing. [00:09:31] This stuff has probably happened on a monthly basis. [00:09:34] And from what the representative said, he said he was walking away and he said it. [00:09:40] And a reporter heard what he said and misunderstood what he said. [00:09:44] Misunderstood. [00:09:45] Who knows what really happened? [00:09:47] We wasn't there. [00:09:48] Of course, AOC wasn't there. [00:09:50] Her mind is not there half the time. [00:09:52] I just want to say this one thing before we let them go, man. [00:09:55] What are you going to say, man? [00:09:57] I'm going to show everybody that I'm a true patriot, that I love this country. [00:10:03] This is for Representative Ted Yoho.
